Sir,
My new Preapaid Airtel SIM No.[protected]F and Mobile No.[protected]. Purchaseing on Dt. 25.11.2009 on submitting the all reqired documents to M/s Prince Telecom, Jamalpur, Near Goal Market, Ludhiana. SIM was activated on next day but after 15 days my outgoing call was disconnect so. I once again resubmitted all require documents to the retailer but till date my sim card is not activated.As per retailer opinion they have send the documents to the distributor, when i talk to distributor they are simply avoiding and asking for contract with Local Airtel Office that is M/s Sunil Telecom, Near Shingar Cinema, Ludhiana. They suggest us to purchase another one New SIM and the present SIM card once the connection is disconnect not possible to reactivate on submitting the documents. So cant help any thing. 1. My question who is defaulter ? 2. Why the New SIM card is not reactivated on submitting the documents two times?

    Dear Sir / Madam,

    While I was away for sleep in the night at 1030pm, I received a SMS from [protected] for a party on 31st.
    On inquiring I found out that a person named Sagar was asking me to come to 9 Miracle in Mira Road on 31st for party. I requested Sagar for the source of obtaining my number to which he replied he obtained from a freind.

    Further I received many calls from Sagar on [protected] at about 1130pm. I didnt answer his calls.

    Was Sagar trying to harass me during my sleeping time?

    I receive such numerous calls during the day from different sources and each time I am denied the source of obtaining my number.

    Can AIRTEL please let me know if I need to stop using my service to avoid such harrassing SMSs and odd time calls? Is there a way out?

        Dear Sir / Madam,

        I am an AIRTEL prepaid consumer (#[protected]) and I am being repeteadly harassed by AIRTEL co. lately as follows:

        1. On 22nd Dec '09 AIRTEL installed a caller tune on my cell which stated in a country accent that I have been caught by the police and he needs money to be paid. This caller tune was heard by my friends and my parents who thought it is real. My parents panicked and were about to approach the police station that I returned back my parents call saying that I could not answer them since I was driving and that I am ok.
        THIS IS A CHILDISH PRANK BEING PLAYED BY AIRTEL CAUSING GREIVANCE TO MY NEAR AND DEAR ONES.

        2. On 23rd Dec '09 I approached the Vashi AIRTEL centre in Sec - 17 and wanted to speak to the manager regarding point no.1, that I was asked to dial #999 since managers of AIRTEL can be only accessed by phone and not in person. I spoke to one Mr. Ravindra Pandurang Jadav of #358 AIRTEL who blatantly mentioned that AIRTEL has installed the caller tune since I have instructed AIRTEL to do so. COULD AIRTEL SAY WHO IS THE LIAR HERE - Mr.Jadav or AIRTEL?

        3. Mr.Jadav then mentioned that if I didnt want the caller tune he would cancel it and also return back my money. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY A CONSUMER WOULD PAY FOR INSTALLING INSANE AIRTEL CALLER TUNES AND CAUSE GREIVANCE TO NEAR AND DEAR ONES. At this instance I felt AIRTEL was not only causing greivance to me, but also STEALING my prepaid money in this process.

        4. I got the caller tune uninstalled, Mr. Jadhav said he would return back my money. I have not checked, since my trust on AIRTEL services has completely vanished by now. Only on mentioning Mr. Jadhav of Consumer Complaint that he gave me a reference no. W[protected] against stopping of SMS, ads and promotional calls from 1:37pm of 23rd Dec onward. DOES AIRTEL CO. FUNCTION ONLY WHEN MENTION OF CONSUMER COMPLAINT IS DONE?

        5. On returning home the same day, I received a barge of SMS from 57272, 543212, 530309, 54321, 543212, 543211 and unsolicited calls from [protected], [protected] and others. I waited for a few days and the same continued. IS AIRTEL NO LONGER A PROFESSIONAL SERVICE TO RELY ON ?

        6. I tried calling AIRTEL through their service no. 121 and requested to speak to the manager. AIRTEL call centre person disconnected my call ! I tried speaking to AIRTEL through this no. again and I was denied to speak ! AIRTEL CALLER SERVICE DOES NOT FUNCTION ANYMORE?

        7. AIRTEL harrassment continues till date through SMS, ad / promotional calls, installing of caller tunes, jokes etc. for which I again returned back to the vashi AIRTEL for speaking to the manager that I was asked to dial #999 and speak over phone. ARE AIRTEL MANAGERS NOT ACCESSIBLE TO CONSUMERS THAT THEY HIDE BEHIND WIRES AND PHONES?

        8. Relentling not to speak to anyone else other than the manager, I was given the line to one Mr.Taranveer Singh who said he is the Supervisor in Malad. I asked him why is AIRTEL harassing me when Mr.Jadhav had mentioned that AIRTEL's prank services will be called off from 23rd Dec '09. He replied that my complaint against the reference no. in point 4 will be effective from 6th Feb '10 as per TRAI directives ! CAN AIRTEL MENTION WHO IS PLAYING THE MONKEY BUSINESS?

        9. STEALING of my prepaid money still continues on date through promotional calls, jokes etc. As per my discussions with Mr.Jadhav and Mr.Singh, I understand I activate the service on answering such calls.
        CAN AIRTEL EXPLAIN HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN AIRTEL PROMOTIONAL CALL AND NORMAL BUSINESS CALLS ?

        10. Also I find that AIRTEL steals my money when I answer their promotional calls as each call I answer, AIRTEL takes away Rs.1.5 from me. WHY IS AIRTEL STEALING MY MONEY?

        I will shift to a different service provider shortly untill my remaining balance ends.

        I would like AIRTEL to return back my money for:
        1. Stealing my money on unsolicited AIRTEL calls, SMS, caller tunes and jokes
        2. Causing greivance to my near and dear ones.
        3. Harassing me by unwanted calls
        4. Harassing me by their services who contradict each other (pls refer points 4 & 8)
        5. Wasting my time
        6. Disturbing me and my work
        7. Unwanted visits to AIRTEL office and burning of fossil fuel

        I look forward to your kind attention in the above and your advice please.

          1. I purchased prepaid Connection([protected]) on 10/09/2009 And same was activated on the same day. I recharged with Rs. 1000/- from my credit card.
          2. Service was available till 5th oct. 2009 and finally deactivated on 20/11/2009.
          3.I have registered the complaint by hotline from Airtel shoppe (Tonk Road, Jaipur on 10/10/2009.and was told that same shall be activated by 17/10/2009 at 10:47 IST istead of activating the no. same was permanently deactivated.( Reaason Address not verified.)
          4. Subsequentlty i received the mail from 121 and again deposited the documents at airtel Bikaner speedway on 17/10/2009.
          5. Subsequently i purchased another prepaid connection no. [protected] from jaipur and the address was verified from jaipur from your executive. But house located just 500 meters from Airtel shoppee was not verified from your executive.
          6. Your executive was supposed to verify the address within 2-3 days he failed to do so. This all indicates I am at no where at fault.I request u to reactivate the no. i[censored] r not able to do so please refund the amount to my credit card.

          Date of recharge : 11/09/2009 for Rs. 1000/- by Credit card (Which further verifies the customer.

            I'm Hari Prasad, I want to file a complain against BHARTHI-AIRTEL.

            I took airtel internet postpaid connection bearing phone no. [protected] with account no. [protected]. Unlimited Data Plan rs999/-. I started receiving sms from 54321 charging me Rs.99 every now and then within 2days. I haven't made any calls nor did i send any sms. All i did was browsing internet with this UNLIMITED 999 plan internet connection.
            After 2days they barred my simcard and told me to Pay rs 5000/-.
            I am attaching images of bill. wrong java game download messages,

            After browsing this forum, I found that I am not the only one to face this ugly problem. It may be technical problem or intensely looting the people.

            Kindly help me. I'm so tortured mentally.

              Dear Sir,

              Today, on 29th December 2009 around 1:40 pm, I recharged my mobile phone with Rs. 95 card that gets mobile office facility activated on phone. I'm using Nokia E63. After recharging my cell phone, I called up Airtel Customer Care Executives to ask them for sending Mobile Office's setting on my phone. I had Rs. 119 balance in my phone. Instead of sending settings, he asked me to dial *567*1#, then asked me to select Night unlimited plan. He also told me that this number is toll free. I told him that I've already got my cell phone recharged with Rs. 95 card and asked him if I'd charged Rs. 95 again for dialing it, he said NO. Then I did dial the number following what he guided to me. After 2 minutes, I received a message that I'd get settings shortly. After waiting for 2+ hours, I called them again and this time Aman picked the phone. I told him the problem. He asked me to dial *567# this time. I also confirmed if the number is toll free and he agreed. He also asked me to send an sms MO to 52567 (toll free too). When I tried to dial *567#, I selected 3rd option of the same plan I recharged with (rs. 95 night unlimited). When I replied them, I got an error message, insufficient balance. I checked my balance and found that my account was deducted with Rs. 95 again. I then called airtel cce to enquire about this and they disconnected the call without listening to me properly.

              Sir, Please help me out how can I get my balance back of Rs. 95? Also, My cell is not able to connect to CCE as they have set a limit of calling to CCE that I've already consumed for the day.

              Hi. Did you get the settings? If yes, then can you go to Menu>Tools>Settings>Connection>Access points and write the settings of "Mobile Office" here?
              Also don't forget to write the things under "Options>Advanced settings" also.

                Hi Team,

                My number: [protected]

                I reached Australia on 28 November and started using Airtel GPRS for internet connection. Around 4th December i received a message from Airtel mentioning that the total un-billed usage as on 4th December is approximately 38,000.

                Seeing this i got literally shocked and stopped using the Mobile and returned to India on 8th December.
                Now a bill is generated for Rs 1,77,000 (1 lakh 77 thousand) in which Airtel claims that the GPRS usage itself is around 1,50,000. Now my concern is when i stopped using from Airtel GPRS on 4th December itself, how come my bill got accumulated to such an amount?

                Moreover my credit limit is 13,000 only, so how come Airtel can extend my limit to such a limit.
                Now they have barred my calls completely. My number is totally inaccessible.
                My question is, is it fair on Airtel to ask such an amount for bill payment and activation of my number, when they failed to act when needed.

                1. Airtel did not provide me correct information on my usage on 4th December.
                2. When they can stop my calls now why can’t they do it when my usage limit is extended beyond imagination?
                3. As they stopped my calls I literally lost contact with all my clients and had to face humiliation in front of them.

                  this is rushabh shah...i had dicontinued my airtel card..n bill of the month sep-to october has not been recieved by me....
                  so i would like to recieve the bills copy as early as possible....
                  and in addition to that.. due to sum misunderstandin my bills have been paid by credit card as well as
                  by cheque...so ull have recieved d payments twice...so considering that ull have around rs 620 of ours which cannot be used by me so i would like to recieve it by cheque or demand draft........

                    Subject: - complain about the Bharati Airtel nodal and appellate officer for Maharashtra and Goa region for not responding queries.

                    Respected sir / Madam,

                    This is Mahesh Joshi from Aurangabad, Maharashtra. I am undergoing severe problem about My Airtel lifetime Postpaid number-[protected] for about 3 months. The Airtel Company allotted this number to some unknown person without intimating me. Most importantly this was lifetime number with validity up to year 2025.
                    When I came to know about this incident, I first approached Airtel Aurangabad center. The local person advised me to call help line. Then spoke with 121 help line for about 3 – 4 times. When not received any response at last for two times I wrote complaint to Airtel nodal and appellate officer for Maharashtra and Goa region for not responding queries on December 16. The complaint number issued by Airtel is[protected] and[protected]. They assured to contact me within 48 hours. However, now its 13 days passed.
                    Meanwhile, I tried numbers of nodal officer Sachin Jadhav at +91 [protected] and +[protected]. But he did not picked up the phone. Later I called up appellate officer Vishal Gurung for Maharashtra and Goa region at +91 [protected] and +[protected], but he too did not respondent me.

                    Hence, requesting you to direct them to solve my grievances. I am also planning to lodge a complaint against forgery in police station and consumer forum. Another mail is forwarding to Bharti Airtel head Mr. Mittal.

                    Sir, on 6-1-10 I contacted your retail officer Mr. Aashish [Mob. No. [protected]] for a broadband connection [a gift to my newly wedded daughter] Neha Joshi 532 ka/217 ka, Pandeytola Aliganj Lucknow.
                    After a satisfactory site survey he along with Mr. Naveen, sales executive [mob. No. [protected]] made paper formalities [form sl. No. 135746] and collected a cheque of Rs. 1800/-[no.505170 date. 6-1-10 bank of Baroda] as three months advance rent with an assurance of connection within 48 hrs.
                    On 8-1-10 at my third reminder he informed me that it is unsure to install the connection because of lack of infrastructure at site and he will give me final yes or no before 5 p.m. which he never did.
                    On 9-1-10 I made a call to him but no response, bounded me to stop the payment of cheque to avoid any foul play which cost me Rs. 57/- as stop payment charges.
                    Now is this the real performance of AIRTEL making tall claims to be the No. one efficient service provider with such irresponsible and poor performance team.
                    May I hope to hear some words at the earliest from you for such humiliation and embarrassment by AIRTEL.

                      i am not able to open my mms inbox. i got my username and password via sms from the airtel, but when i am trying to login, its displaying message like- incorrect username or password.
                      as it is known, picture msg. are automatically deleted in 14 days, so help me , so that i could see my mms.

                      Sir, this is Srikanth dummu, i am using LG KM335 handset. My friend was sent me MMS from gujarat. It was not reached to my devise. I was loged in airtel mms inbox at web. I was entered my number with 91 and password, but it was telling your username and password is wrong. What i what do?

                        Regarding the internet problem......
                        I bought my Airtel Data card a few days before... When i connected it shows in the Signal bar whether it was GPRS or EDGE connection... when i worked it in my office it show as EDGE CONNECTION... but in my home it shows as GPRS CONNECTION.... also the speed of the internet is also slow when campared with the EDGE connection... so i need the details about it... also how to get EDGE connection in my home... please give me a perfect solution as soon as possible....

                        I am using MMX 200G usb modem with BSNL cell one sim. It is very slow indeed. The download speed as well as browsing speed both are very slow, even though it is working in EDGE connection. I am not at all happy with this product. In fact I can't feel any difference between the GPRS and EDGE connection with this device. Some time it gets connected with GPRS and after few minutes it automatically switch over to EDGE. But speed remains same. The APN for BSNL connection is "bsnlnet".

                          I am using Airtel micromax 3G (MMX 300G) usb data modem in Ranchi (Jharkhand) its speed is not give me as per airtel Plan 1: Plan 498 for 30 Days with unlimited data access speed 236 kbps. I am always test and witch speed by lots of different speed tester but it near about 85 -125 kbps.

                            Bill cycle change with out intimating

                            I have a post paid airtel connection from Karnataka circle (Bangalore - [protected]). My billing cycle is 5th of every month. Yesterday I have received a bill for 20 days and when contacted the customer care, they have said that, Airtel needed this and so doing. When e-mailed to the customer care, the reply was to pay for the unbilled too and any discounts will be adjusted next billing cycle. There is no proper support or service from Airtel...

                            I took a new airtel mobiie connection from one of the dealers in Palavakkam, Chennai.
                            I submitted all the necessary documents needed for the new connection and got the SIM activated.
                            Every thing worked fine for a week when I got up one morning to found my services has been suspended. The reason being stated is "non submission of documents".
                            I talked to the dealer, he said he already submitted the documents.I called the customer care, and they said they havent received the documents.
                            My mobile remain dead for 2 days, after which the service resumed on itself.
                            I thought the issue is resolved.
                            But again the next week my services got suspended stating the same reason.
                            I was asked to re-submit the documents at any of the Airtel Showroom.
                            Im new to Chennai, don’t know any place here. Still I took pain to re submit all the documents to the showroom.
                            I was assured that the services will be resumed within 4 hrs, which never happened.
                            Every time ,on calling the customer care, I got the same mechanized response that once I re submit the documents, services will be restored within 72 hrs.
                            Its more that 4 days that I submitted the documents, but the service is not resumed.
                            I have been tortured, mentally harassed for all these days, since I was not able to reach any of my friends, near and dear ones which was really necessary since I am new to this place and need guidance time and again.
                            I have enough of Airtel, I vow never to use the service again.
                            Ill make sure none of my family members/friends will be using it either.

                            I can assure you I’ll go to the consumer court to make the company compensate for all the mental harassment the company make me go through.
                            As of now, I want you to give me back the balance left in my sim to be given back to me.
                            I no more want to use Airtel services.

                            mobile connection — DISCONT MY MOBILE WITHOUT ANY INFORMATION

                            I have just bought a new postpaid Airtel connection chip (No. [protected]). without infomation airtell disconting my connection. I have visit several time vist airtell coustomet care shop and no body has replay. All person has hereatage to my. We have already pay advance rent of one but not airtell person has conforme to active to your connection.Airtel is painful because you have to wait till the voice stops parroting.
                            Customer Care really don't care about the customer. Perfect parrot in practiced English dictions, a little off-beat question confuses them thoroughly. They put you on hold and ask their supervisor. In my case,I asked whether the number was toll-free and "yes" came the reply.

                            Moral of the story: Don't trust Airtel. Don't buy Airtel. If you can't afford Hutch, go without a phone. Hire a messenger to send your messages. Above all, don't call customer care and waste your time. Buy some other card. Even an out-of-state on roam SIM.

                              Dear Sir,

                              I was having an Airtel Vas+DSL connection vide Login ID / phone No. [protected],account No.14855005,Name Arun kumar aggarwal. at my residence - 216, C/ 7,Sector 8, Rohini, Delhi.
                              In the last week of Oct.09, I requested for its disconnection. The same was disconnected w.e.f. 06.11.09.The same was confirmed by an airtel executive over phone.
                              I got the bill for the month concerned ( Billing Period - 23.10.09 to 22.11.09) where prorata rent was charged up to the date of disconnection.It was fine, i paid the bill.

                              Since than i have not used either phone or internet.In the meantime i got various calls from airtel for various plans etc.,i refused every time since i did not want any service.
                              Now i have got another bill for the period 23.11.09 to 22.12.09 amounting to Rs. 716/-.
                              On contacting their customer care service i was informed that my connection has been reactivated again for the reasons best known to them only.
                              Moreover i never agreed/ asked for reactivation,neither i was informed about this.
                              It is a clear case o[censored]nfair practice adopted by the company to get business.
                              such kind of things are giving bad name to airtel.
                              I do hereby request to all concerned :
                              - to reverse this wrong bill of Rs. 716/- under intimation to me
                              - deactivate my account with immidiate effect under confirmation to me
                              - take appropriate action against the responsible staf[censored]nder intimation to me

                              AirTel — Wrong billing VAS

                              This is regarding a WRONG Billing on my Airtel post paid connection[protected]. On the 26th of July I received some hundreds of SMS messages that I have used Airtel Live services, while the truth is that I have never done anything like that and am not even aware of such a service. I had even switched off my phone to not receive those messages.

                              On receiving my bill I found there were about 224 SMSes and each charged at Rs.10! I found that all such activities have happened on 26th July from 7.58 am to 9.41 am.

                              I wanted to bring this to your notice that I have NEVER subscribed to any such service or used anything called Airtel Live ever. I have been following up with your customer care over phone, email and also in person (Begumpet office, Hyderabad) but the only solution they came up with was that I have to send an email to nodalofficer.[protected]@airtel.in and also to appellate.[protected]@airtel.in. It has been a week and no response so far! I hope someone will read this complaint atleast.

                              Please note that I have not made any use of Airtel Live services and I want these charges to be reversed. The technical person at the Begumpet office checked my phone and the SMSes that I received on that date, but could not offer any resolution after waiting there for 45 minutes. I am sure you will have the history of all the complaints and calls i have made to you - please check and DO reverse or waive off these charges. I am corporate user and have been using your services for the past 6 years and have never faced any such issue in the past, you can check my payment history and my SMS history. This kind of wrong billing and repeated answers from your customer service saying that i have sent those SMSes is just not appropriate and I certainly do not appreciate this form of harassment.

                              I hope there is a solution and i certainly am not going to pay that bill till I get a response.

                                Hello, Myself Vishal Sharma, almost 15 days before, I started facing problem with Airtel Mobile office GPRS services, the websites were not opening up neither in my phone nor on my computer. I called their customer care deptt but it seems these guys think that their customers are just dumb. They assured me that you problem will be resolved within 24 hours but it didn't even after 240 hours. I keep telling them that this problem is area specific, its not working in that particular area I am residing at. Everytime I call them, they give me new service request number.

                                The latest one is 30152504.

                                I don't know how these guys even dare to send the bill on time though they don't work towards solving a problem within understandable time period.

                                I am permanent user of airtel gsm mobile services. I have a motorola l9 handset. I choose the unlimited internet plan of Rs.395 . The problem is the very slow speed of my internet. I got only 1 to 2 kbps speed while the actual provided speed is 115.2 kbps verified by airtel.

                                  Dear Sir,

                                  I had shifted from my sion address in Mumbai on 24th Dec 2009 to my new house in Thane, Mumbai.
                                  after some 25 phone calls to the customer care team, they registered my request for the de - installation.
                                  as expected they did not send anyone for the job, and i had to call the local ASM directly for the deinstallation.
                                  the Horror started for the Re-installation in my Thane address. I have made 17 calls to the Customer care,
                                  and every time they have been sending Engineers for the Re installation in my OLD ADDRESS, and closing the call citing Wrong Address. In every call i had clearly mentioned my new address.
                                  Even the local ASMs, ZSM,s not cooperating in this regard.

                                  However the mandatory Rs. 300/- has been deducted from my Balance for the job
                                  As of now, I am at the mercy of Airtel to get help for the installation.

                                  Please suggest what should be my next course of action on this

                                    This is the third time I am registering my complaint against AIRTEL

                                    I am receiving nuisance SMS 57272 from AIRTEL and I am being charged for it.

                                    No action has been taken against my previous complaints.

                                    Can somebody tell me what step I should take against AIRTEL.

                                    They send nuisance SMS 57272. On top of that they are charging for it. This SMS is a gambling message.

                                    I want this SMS to be immediately stopped. Someone pls take action against AIRTEL

                                      i have requested so many times for circle change of my airtel postpaid number [protected] from Andhra Pradesh to Mumbai circle. i even send mail to [protected]@airtelindia.com and always got response like you request will be solve in next XYZ days..i also got reply from [protected]@airtelindia.com that circle change request will be resolve by 17th dec 2009. but nothing is done yet. i am always getting call from airtel customer care regarding service and i always told them this problem. they always reply that some one will reach me within next 2-3 days..and your request will be resolve. but still nothing is done. now i am fed up by calling airtel customer care. if nothing will be done in this week i will surrender the connection and will take service of other service provider.

                                      Thanks for quick response. hope my req. will be resolve. one more thing i want to add that i sent a mail reg. the same issue to [protected]@airtelindia.com today morning and i got reply that i should visit nearest airtel outlet (in mumbai) and provide all supporting docs with photo and pay 500 as deposit and get a new connection. i dont know, but this is not a good way to solve a problem. i know i can go to any service provider and by providing all docs i can get a new connection within minutes. i dont know why again n again they are asking me to deposit 500rs, although i already have 300rs as deposit with airtel AP and they never talk about refunding this amount. can you please suggest what i can do in such situation.
