Hi,

I have been using Bharathi Airtel Post Paid Connection since long time. I have 2 connections with me one of which is not being used much during the recent past. I therefore decided to surrender this SIM Card.

I went to Airtel office in NR Colony, Bangalore to surrender, but they did not accept giving varieties of creative reasons for not accepting the SIM. When I made repeated visits, I was told to send a mail to [protected]@airtelindia.com requesting them to cancel the connection. I got reply from this email stating they will get back to us in 48 hours time without even mentioning if they have accepted my request to inactivate the SIM. I did not get any response from anyone in the next 48 hours. When I gave a call to one customer service executive through 121, he informed me that the request was still open and no action was taken on this. He had no reasons to explain the cause for delay. He then told me that the connection may be inactivated in the next 10-15 days time!!

When we have a post paid connection, every day counts for the billing and this is a cheap trick to increase the bill amount. When I ask them about the refundable deposit of Rs.400 they collect when we take a new connection, they bluntly say, it will be adjusted. I do not understand what adjustment here means when we have zero outstanding amount.

When I enquired with my relatives and friends about this, I was shocked to know that Airtel does the same to all its postpaid customers when they surrender their SIM. My friend had also approached the NR Colony Airtel showroom for cancellation. He was given an assurance that the connection was cancelled. After several months, Airtel people from various offices have bugged him to make the payment saying that the connection was not at all cancelled.

How can a reputed organization like Airtel play such cheap tricks to make money. This is a completely illegal and objectionable attitude of Airtel. When it takes just 1 day to get a new connection, why should it take months together for a customer to surrender and deactivate a connection? The way they talk makes anyone sure that they won't return the refundable deposit amount they collect from us.

Is there no single responsible and sensible official in the Management level in Airtel who can look into such issues and stop their executives from looting customers like the way Airtel has been doing currently? Who can teach Airtel the basic business Ethics they have to follow?

    I have recharged my mobile [protected] ( Airtel karnataka Prepaid) on 20.10.09 @ ahmedabad Airport Airtel counter for Rs.399, I have got credit for Rs.5 only.

    Further I have recharged for Rs.200 on 21.10.09 , I have got the message stating that amount is credited but no talk time. I have contacted all the customer service executives ( ahmedabad and bangalore) including nodal officer in Bangalore but in vain. At present My mobile is in accessible.

    I am not getting reply for my mails.

    Airtel service is very very bad.I called 121 from my mobile and the operator says since you are in roaming , you need to contact karnataka customer care as we are not having your data base which will be STD for me.( but 121 auto message says any time anywhere service). Is it the service are we expecting from Airtel?

    I got a message that my account was debited Rs, 75 for down loading job alerts . I am 67 yrs and i was surprised to note this funny message. I co mplained to customer care the same day on 9-1-2010. Still this mistake was not reconciled amd my account is credited Please take some care atleast to aged people.

      AirTel DTH Customer service and complaint resolution is Worst. I am paying for channels with no picture on the screen. Area service manager Keeps his mobile Switched OFF ([protected]). Service engineer calls and commits will come in 30 mins but never turned up and finally sends the SMS that complaint has been resolved.

      I am facing this problem in Electronics City Area, Bangalore.

      I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT TO GO FOR AIRTEL DTH...

      Hi All,
      I'll bring to your notice that AirTel DTH Customer service and complaint resolution is too worst. After recharging I couldn't view any channels. I got an error signal locked error code B001.But they are deducting money from my account. Since October 13 I'm facing this problem I called customer care more than 10 times. These are the request no's I raised. The interesting part is they will close the request no's without my knowledge and without any resolution :)

      i fully agree. Airtel DTH service is easily the most lousy customer care service i have personally encountered. Their CC executives have the nerve to disconnect customer calls when we request to speak to their superiors. Very rude, very arrogant and extremely reckless service team

          Hi,

          I have submitted my PF withdrawal form in my office Bharti Airtel Ltd. Noida sec-57 in the month of MAY 2009.

          Till now I have not received any Credit in My account.

          I have been continuously calling to Bangalore PF office numbers but always the numbers goes busy /nor reachable/ does not exist.

          I do not know whats going on.

          Can you please help in this matter & expedite it to credit my amount in my account.

            I have recharged for Rs.200 on 21st october 2009 at 01:12pm by knowing that i would get full talk time with zero validity.
            The recharge option was sent to me by airtel service reply. and when i called customer care to know confirm/know about the offer even they said u will get full talk time with zero validity.
            But now after recharging i got RS.200 full talk time but "VALIDITY given to me was 1 MONTH" But they(airtel) said there was no validity for this top up..!!

              I have a very basic nokia phone of 200 rs in which I cannot play any games it is not possible

              Actually I have not download any type of game through Airtel Live WAP service.
              I want the answer ??????? Return my 400 Rs. please please please ...
              Also I don't want to buy "Sorry" "Not Possible" etc by my 400 Rs.

                I was using Airtel Fixed Line and Broadband connection for past 1 year at my residence which was rented.This years in August I shifted to a different location and asked Airtel to transfer the services. They said they dont provide service to the area where I shifted.Then I asked them to cancel the connection and to tell me the outstanding that I owe. They told me that the outstanding bill is for Rs 176 and I was asked to pay the bill. The representative also said that she'll not take the request for cancellation but she will change my plan to a different plan with 2 months rental waiver and after 2 months if Airtel will start providing service to this area then I will start getting the service.I said that in the meantime I will take a new connection from a different service provider so I dont need their services anymore.But the rep was adamant so I asked her to send an email concerning the same.I paid the bill for the outstanding amount on time and also called airtel to confirm that. They confirmed that they have received the payment.Now I am getting continuous calls to pay the remaining amount.And moreover, when I called cust service again, what the rep asked me is--- Is there no requirement of this service where I used to live before? Now isn't it a silly question? How the hell will I know, if there is any requirement for a connection there or not if I am no longer living there.This means that if the person who has taken the connection wants to discontinue with the services, they will force someone else to use it and if the other person denies, they will start charging the bill to the previous customer.This also means that all airtel wants is to keep on making money whether you use the service or not.I know many people at my office who have faced the same problem when they have asked to discontinue the services to airtel. AIRTEL SHOULD BE BARRED FROM PROVIDING SERVICES FOR FIXEDLINE.

                  Dear Sir,

                  This is to inform you that i Pradeep Kumar Keshari holding Airtel corporate connection no [protected], and one of my friend holding Airtel connection No. [protected]. We are holding same corporate plan group w-16. As per plan policies we are taking 1500 min free CUG talk time. We have notice that we are not getting CUG facilities as we are in same CUG plan. I have interrupt with Airtel Customer Care Executive and Airtel Nodal officer regarding this issue. As per Airtel Customer Care Executive we are not in same plan or as per Airtel Nodal Officer we are in same plan but our plan parents are different. Whereas the plan details are clearly mention in our bill and our call charges of CUG plan are same.
                  I feel that I have cheated and I will not get full facility as per CUG plan. Please do the needful.

                      Airtel SIM card not working in Dubai

                      I am an NRI working in Dubai and Visit my native in India once or twice a year.                       Dear Sir,

                      This is just to inform you that I Mr. Vishwanath Roy holding the no. [protected] not receiving my Post Paid Bill's on time since last 8 months & due to this uncessarily i am charged with Late Bill Chrgs ie Rs.50/- per month.
                      Also, after telling the same to the CS desk while their call, nothing is been done on the said issue except saying SORRY everytime & to the height my registration has been cancelled.

                      I request you to kindly look into the matter & resolve the issue by waiveoff all the late bill chrgs. So that i can make the payment.

                        This is to bring to your notice the harassment being meted out to me and my family from Airtel.
                        I have an Airtel broadband connection at home . On the 19th of September 2009,a man named Kamaldas who was from SERCO BPO PVT LTD Begumpet, came for collection of the bill amount which was Rs.1524/- .Since neither o[censored]s had change I paid him Rs.1500/- for which I got a receipt too. Number of the receipt is SBIOHYD[protected].

                        After 3 days I got a call that my bill payment was not done .I gave them all the details and they got back to me saying my account reflects a payment of Rs.1200/- instead of Rs.1500.And hence I was required to pay Rs.324/-. Again I gave them details. The customer care executive took down a complaint and said action would be taken.

                        After this began a series of phone calls from Airtel asking me for payment of Rs.324/-.Whether I was driving or in the midst of a meeting I was asked again and again for the receipt number when I had already provided them with the number of the collection agency representative, the receipt number etc. Again a complaint was taken down.

                        Rs.324/-seemed to haunt me as this still did not stop calls from Airtel.

                        Finally I called the person who had collected the money .He too said he had collected only Rs.1200/- On showing the receipt he admitted an error and promised he would rectify the same. After an hour he called saying the error was on their part and was rectified. I also got another call from Airtel customer care saying the amount paid was rectified and they were sorry for the error

                        Another day went by and again I got a call asking me for a payment of Rs 324/-.This inefficiency and irresponsible attitude of AIRTEL has caused be tremendous pain.

                        Since then till about 10 days ago this became a routine for me and finally they disconnected my broadband and the linked landline. I called up customer care and again went through the pain of explaining the entire story .The customer care executive as usual said "we are sorry for the inconvenience and will take down a complaint ".At this point in time I requested them to activate my landline as I have a ten year old daughter who is unwell and at home. Since both me and my husband work, we are worried about her at home and call her at regular intervals to find out how she is doing.

                        In spite of this they did not unblock the services. For a week, I used to call up my neighbors or housekeeping staff in the building to find out how my daughter was. I again got in touch with Kamaldas who said he was no longer in the services of the collection agency and could not do anything about it. He gave me the number of a Mr. Deepak who was their team leader and said he would be able to help me. Guess what Mr. Deepak has also resigned and was also shockingly rude saying what can he do for this error.

                        It is been 10 days since they have blocked the use of our broadband and landline and in spite of various calls no action has been taken. The last service request number given to me by Airtel is 25449812 given on the 15th of October.

                        I am in fact discontinuing Airtel services and switching to an alternate service provider.
                        Let me also tell you something else. I still get at least 2 calls from Airtel everyday.

                        Airtel — Stopped Phone services in spite Bill Payment

                        I have a post paid connection No. [protected] A/c No.[protected] in the name of my sister Sheemul Bipin Gupta. Bill Plan 299

                        I had gone to U.S on 22/07/2008 and I had given specific instructions to close my account, so that I need not pay the bill till I return.

                        Meanwhile I paid the bill of Rs. 458.00 by Ch. No. 335152 dtd 27.07.08 drawn on Canara Bank, Karvenagar, Pune for the period 17.06.08 to 16.07.08, Bill No.[protected] dtd 18.07.2008.

                        Later on, I was again issued a Bill No.[protected] dtd 18.08.2008 for the period 17.07.08 to 16.08.08 of Rs.364.98 which I did not pay since I had already given the specific instructions to stop the call services till I return from U.S.

                        Again, I was issued a Bill No.[protected] dtd 18.09.2008 for the period 17.08.08 to 16.09.08 of Rs.414.05 + Previous balance Rs.364.98 totaling to Rs.779.03 which I did not pay. I made several requests at your Pune office not to charge, since I have given the instructions, still they charged me.

                        Once again, I was issued a Bill No.[protected] dtd 18.10.2008 for the period 17.09.08 to 16.10.08 of Rs.367.50 + Previous balance Rs.779.03 less adjustments totaling to Rs.786.08.

                        I paid the entire amount on 22.10.2008 by Credit Card at Vega Communication shop, Tilak Road, 1578 Tilak Apts, Pune vide Receipt No.[protected] dtd 22.10.2008 of Rs.786.00.

                        Even after the payment was made, till today the phone is not working. I spoke at Bombay office and they are saying that "they do not need any customers, you can change the company".

                        This is the worst service Airtel is giving.

                        If no action is taken by the company, then I would be forced to go to Consumer grievances forum

                        Airtel Broadband — No Broadband installation, in spite of payment 10 days back

                        Dear Sir,

                        I applied for a new broadband connection in Greater Kailash 1, New Delhi. I paid up the installation charges, Rec No. 778686 on 25th August 2009. I have not received any calls for installation. The person who came for payments does not even bother to pick up my calls.

                        Can you please tell me what should I be doing regarding this?

                        I have the same problem. I applied for the connection on 29th August, 2009 and paid the installation amount of Rs.500. I was promised connection the next day and in the worst case by 31st of August. However, till date, no connection has been provided. I have called up the person concerned multiple times and every day there is a standard reply that it would be installed the next day and they would call me back but no one has bothered to call back. From past 2 days even that number is either switched off or is not reachable.

                        Kindly let me know where I can lodge a complaint for this.

                        AirTel / Landline Phone with Broadband connection — I have not been getting connection after paying money

                        We had applied for a Landline + Broadband connection to M/s. AirTel limited on 11 Nov. 2009 and provied all the documents which they required also we gave a cheque of Rs. 3100.00 ( Rs. Three Thousand One Hundred ) as an advance against their services for six month. AirTel representative Mr. Kamlesh Kushwaha assured that they provide connection within 3-to 4 days. but till date we have not been getting services from airtel for which we have paid money. we asked several times from their represntative but they have not been replying exactly.

                        Airtel landline connection with broadband — Harrasment over disconnection

                        I had a landline connection with broadband facility from Airtel.The phone line was disconnected in the month of Feb-11 owing to some issue of Airtel with BSES(probably BSES people had uprooted their junction boxes installed on the BSES poles).Airtel people assured me that the problem will be rectified within 2 weeks time,but nothing was done to rectify the problem.I was assured that company would not be charging for the time period till the problem persists.Now company has raised a bill for April-May period & are pressurising me to pay for the billed period.I have made numerous calls to there customer care asking them to disconnect the line as I am not interested in keeping the same.Each time they give a request no with the words-"Your line will be disconnected in the next 7 working days".God knows how long those 7 working days are & when will they be over.I am using Airtel's mobile phone service,but looking in to the handling of this matter,which is really disappointing,I will have to rethink about that also.If this harrasment of making calls on my mobile & sending SMSes does not stop I will be left with no option other than the lagal course for redressal of this matter.

                        Airtel — Harassment call from from Airtel for Broadband bill payment

                        Could you please help me to get rid of from false bill payment call.

                        Issue as follows:
                        1> I requested to transfer my broadband connection on 19 th Feb 2011 with immediate effect as I was getting shifted to new location.

                        2> On 24 th Feb outgoing call from my phone has been stopped and it was informed to me that new location does not have Airtel service, hence my connection will be disconnected.

                        3> 1st March my broadband connection disconnected and on the same day I paid the pending bill of February and I shifted to my new address.

                        4> on April again I received call to pay the bill of March, and they informed me it was the bill the for last few days before connection got disconnected.

                        5> One person from Airtel collectioin dipt came to my new address and collected the bill amount.

                        6> On May again I received a call for the payment of April month bill, Its keeps gong till date.

                        Today again I received a call fro saying 2800/- is pending,

I have taken airtel digital tv connection in the name of "Madan lal Gattani", with customer ID number being [protected] on 15th oct, 2009, from "DIgital Electronics", Bhilwara. I took this connection under the scheme of 1750 rupees and 5 month free subscription of new value pack. At the time of payment, I asked the person to give me the recharge voucher which he refused to give saying unavailability of vouchers and told me that he would send it with the person who is coming to install the DTH. But for some reasons which I can't comprehend, he recharged my account himself for 1800 rupees and put me under 4 month MEGA PACK subscription which I dont want. Now my accunt balance is showing -50 rupees and also tellng me to recharge my account by 50 rupees otherwise my services will get blocked.

                          I have filed a complaint on customer care, but there has been no satisfactory answer so far (Complaint id[protected] . When I complained about this to the "Digital Electronics", he pressed me on paying remaining balance to cover up his mistake. When I refused to do so, he started behaving very rudely.

                          This kind of services from Airtel DTH is definitely not what I was looking for. If I dont get my complaint resolved by Thursday, I am all set to move this to consumer forum.

                            I am really unhappy for this problem accruing from the side. I already purchase a Air tell Dish TV as on the 23/09/2009 from the Vashudev Ent, sector: 16, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, Cont No: [protected], [protected].

                            After that provide me a Customer Id: [protected]. But this Id on the name of Shri Ram Sing from UP. And they recharge in this Id (activation kit recharge + 1 year Value pack + top up 6 months Hindi plus) activation kit: recharge coupon sr no is : [protected]. Scratch card number: [protected]. After they open my new account Id is: [protected]. But the Balance not Transfer from the [protected] to [protected] as well as the Account also show by this number also. View card number is:[protected].

                            I also complain to your dealer as well as the TSM (Devangbhai, Chiloda, Gujarat) also. But still 15 days not solved this problem from your side.

                              I called up Airtel tollfree customer care and spoke amost 1 hr without resolution and finally they advised me you have to send email for your query as they dont have authority to do so as my account automatically cancelled .

                              I mailed on 11th Oct but till date no one bothred to call me or reply my mails..

                              Pls advice me how to take this to consumer court..

                              Hi,

                              I had booked Airtel DTH in the month of April for 2600 Rs (Yarly pack)
                              . The booking was done through your sales call center and followed
                              for booking till payments done.

                              After i received kit with three vouchers i booked instalation but no
                              one turned up and never bothred to call up and informed as well. Then
                              i follwed up and agin booked the installation this time again i had to
                              do follow up instalation guy but by that time my building rennovation
                              work started and we could not do installation.

                              After this no one did bother to check wether customer is facing any
                              problem? why the istallation is not done? and istallation guy update
                              system saying " customer wante to cancell the services" and your
                              system deactivated my account with cust ID - [protected]. I dont
                              understand how come you cancel customer ID even he paid for the
                              services and did registration with the process mentioned.


                              In the mean time i called up call center no but never got
                              through....Whenever i spoke with the call center they infomred me they
                              can not help as my account is cancelled and they can not send even
                              send a mail to concern authorities and they are helpless. i have to
                              book it again with payment fees.

                              why is the customer service call center is there if they can not help
                              customers and give resolutions and they dont have propoer information
                              as well.. They bluff saying we dont have your updates, your account
                              expired, go to the distributor and mail it to Airtel or senior
                              authorities.. Why is the system so complecated ?? Customer shlould get
                              all resolutions at single point and not to go everywher asking help
                              and clarification.

                              The details of vouchers are as folows..

                              Pls help me to activate the services and get the DTh started else i

                                My Name is Gaurav Sharma, I have taken new data card connection from airtel on 1st of oct 2009 .
                                My data card number is [protected] in bangalore .i used this data card 4-5 days and this number has been barred or disactive just because of Address varification , airtel has taken 500 rupees for new connection .i have done my address verfication so many times even i signed a document as well on my company infront of third party and also given so many request to come for re verification but now on 20th oct my sim is showing registration failed ,i used only4-5 days this sim , now i want my money back 500 rupees , if Airtel is not able to give me registration so i want my money back in this case .I have never seen this type of stupid service in my life , i frustrate with Airtel .Please help me to get a money .

                                  Airtel Prepaid GSM — Refused recharging

                                  I had a airtel prepaid connection which was under 801 scheme.This connection got expired on 7th October 2007.I tried to recharge the same on 6th October 2007.But the recharging was blocked by Airtel.My connection expired on 7th October 2007 and from 8th October 2007 they blocked all incoming and outgoing calls.
                                  I faced a lot of inconvience and had to make a number of compliants to them to get the issue resolved.
                                  I demand compensation from Airtel for the inconvience caused by blocking my connection .

                                      i am a resident of vijaya apartment ,indirapuram , ghaziabad ,sir i was sold an iptv from airtel which has a connection from broadband service of airtel ,in this their sales man naveen sabarwal at bharti airtel services ltd ,b-38 / c-1 , sector -57 noida , told me that your monthly bill would be Rs.999/- & installment of your set top box would be Rs.1000/- and while buying the service i paid Rs.1500/- cheque to mr.naveen on 17th august which was cleared on 3 september2009 . then i went to my nearset center in indirapuram to pay my september bill thier at center they told me that no current outstanding is their in your bill but they adjusted my bill from my Rs.1500/- cheque it was not told to me (it is against rti).and on 26 september i recevied my bill of Rs.3993/- which included :
                                      1.monthly charges- Rs.154/-
                                      2.call & vas charges-Rs.161.30/-
                                      3.dsl charges-Rs.00.0 ( because it is unlimited)
                                      4.broadcast tv charges-Rs. 805.65/-
                                      5.other charges -Rs.2499/- (it is no clear to me they are no telling me what is this charges & they are forcing me to pay his bill)
                                      6.taxes-Rs.372/-
                                      total charges Rs.3993/-
                                      now i have paid Rs.2000/- at their center as told by mr. naveen & now they are forcing me to pay their other charges Rs.2499/- which is not clear to me at all & they are misbehaving with me .
                                      sir so please take action against mr. naveen sabarwal (his tel.no.[protected]) & airtel for wrong information to consumer & exploitation of consumer .

                                      Airtel — Wrong billing of IPTV connection

                                      I have a IPTV connection along with a landline and broadband connection from Airtel,my No[protected],

                                      I had earlier requested the Airtel people to transfer my connection from Tower 6 to tower 1 at Sushanth Estates on the 27th of March 2010, howerver they did not for their own reasons.

                                      The connection waes restored only on 4th of May'10. For the full month of April I was not able to use their connections. I thereby requested them to offer me discount for non usage of connection for a month,
                                      I had earlier paid my previous bill under protest and was promised that the discount will be taken care of in the next bill.
                                      The response from the customer care centre is also not encouaraging and horrible to say the least.
                                      I request one and all to stop using Airtel connections till the comapny improve

                                      Airtel IPTV and Broadband — Airtel BILLING issue

                                      Airtel is continuously sending me INCORRECT billing by charging separately for IPTV and Broadband. they are having me paying more than 1000/- for 113 tv channels..wow!!! will anyone believe this? My complaints from 22.3.2011 onwards are still unheard by Airtel.

                                      Wrong billing.......frm the 1st bill issued on my connection there is additional charges of Rs1750 added (which was internal faults of airtel). despite repeated complaints tht amount was reverted but 10.3% tax was also charged on the same which was not reverted and also DSL charges of Rs.100 is being charged monthly even though i didn't avail for it.......
                                      no satisfactory action is being taken and every now and then airtel callcenter representatives threaten of shutting the connection.and if we complain on 121 they dont listen to any greviances and they say that their system is not working so call again later....this has happened n number of times..
                                      so i would like a visit from some responsible representative to clarify the doubts.

                                      Airtel IPTV and Fixed Line — Billing for the services that they NEVER Provided

                                      My airtel account no. is 16063749. I had a billing related issue with the compary few months back in which they wanted me to pay them Rs.1750, which they term as 1 time IPTV installation charges again. For the reason of not paying them [protected]@nd time they disconnected my all services i.e. Broadband, IPTV & Fixedline.

                                      Anyways after making many complaints & later on writing on this website the issue was half resolved. The Airtel company reactivated my Broadband services, but my Telephone & IPTV are still not working.
                                      From last few months i have been regularly paying them Rs.999 + taxes Rs. 102.9 every month as per my 999package which includes all the three services. Now they have been providing me only 1 service even after making several complaints. I even have complaint numbers along with dates with me.

                                      Now i want Airtel company to tell me the bifercation of their 999 plan & what is the value of the Telephone and IpTV services that they have cheated me fo last few months without providing me these services
