    I took a new airtel broadband connection, with a download limit of 4GB on my account. After getting the connection, I was informed by the customer care that I can monitor my download usage by registering online. While I registered online, I couldn't see my usage. When I called up the customer care they informed me that this facility is available only after the first bill is generated. On questioning that how will I know whether I have crossed my 4GB download limit they informed me that I will get an SMS alert on crossing my limit. Since I neither got an SMS alert nor was I able to see the usage online, I continued using my internet assuming it hasn't crossed the 4GB limit. However, the first bill I received claims my usage at 6GB.

    I registered a complaint for the same, and even after 20 days they issue is not resolved. Now Airtel says that I will have to pay (enen though one of the escalation managers I spoke confessed that it is a mistake on their side), since they do not have a process for bill waiver. If there is no way for the customer to know whether he has crossed his download limit then how can they charge the customer for crossing the limit. I am certainly not willing to pay for lack process in Airtel for bill waiver when it is clearly due to mistake/miscommunication from their side. However, at the same time I am afraid that I will lose the connection since I am not willing to pay for the overcharged amount.

      I have been using airtel prepaid service with no. [protected]. Recently an amount of rs 10 was deducted twice saying it was for love tips subscription (which i had not subscribed). Compalining to it, they refunded back only 10 rs/- I wouldn't have mind it it was end to it.. Now they have again deducted rs 15/- saying I have chosen comedy junction.I never subscribe anything on my mobile. Talking to friends, also reading the forum here, I have found that, lately there has been a plenty of cases o[censored]nwanted deductions from airtel, with no/partial refund that too only if complained. .
      I request the competent authorities to look into the matter, and see if this is some kind of scam from the side of airtel. (Once may be a mistake, but twice is a cheating.)
      I have been using Airtel prepaid service with no.[protected].Recently an amount of rs 10 was deducted saying it was for friendz chating(which i had not subscribed). i will give evidence. Because balance deducted at the date and time of[protected] at 1.15pm-3.15pm only. I did't touch my mobile at that perticular time. I'm working in Defence contract basis. They won't allow mobile inside.That one all are known. What network Airtel i don't know?I keep on calling customer care that also not yet connect. Now a days so many network available with cheap call rate. Why they doing like that?

        Hi,

        You all must be aware of NDNC policy launched by TRAI for benefit of mobile customers. But this policy is not being followed by the telecom operator. To brief you about this, if a person registers to this service then he/she should not recieve any promotional calls from telemarketers. I got my number ([protected]) registered to this service in April 09, but even now I recieve hell lot of messages and calls.I have talked to Airtel Nodal Officers, Appellate officers and GM multiple times but to no luck. I even raised this issue in the public grievance portal of indian government but even they could not solve it. Then I emailed TRAI multiple times but to no luck.

        Airtel is not warning telemarketers and not taking any action against those telemarketers who do not check NDNC registry for sending promotional msgs or calls.

        I have registered for DND on date 19th January 2009. Since last few weeks, I am receiving SMS from AK-Promo to offer diffrent Prepaid scheeme. I am tired of receiving these SMS and called Airtel Customer Support 3 or 4 times but they ar not taking any step?
        Can I lodge a FIR for this? I want them to be under legal action as they are forcing me to waste my time by checkng these SMSs.

        Airtel — Promotional Calls Even After activating DND

        I am using Airtel connection since last 3-4 years. My cell number is [protected]. I have activated DND 3 years back itself. Still I keep on receieving promotional calls from either HDFC Bank offering personal loan or some services and I am getting embrassed as these calls are being done during the day when I am in meeting or doing some office work. Today I received a call from number [protected].
        I do not understand who share our numbers or from where our numbers are taken.

            For the past four weeks I have
            been charged multiple times for downloading of games, themes and wallpapers
            from Airtel Live, when in fact I have neither attempted to download anything
            from Airtel Live nor have I recieved any of the services for which I have
            been charged.Every notification I have recieved has caused fifteen to ninety
            nine rupees to be cut from my prepaid balance.During each 'incident' I have
            recieved four or five such notifications 'thanking' me for downloading of
            Airtel Live services which I have neither asked for nor recieved.A whopping
            Rs.200/- have been cut during a single day.The amount would probably have
            been more, except there was nothing left in my balance to cut.In all I have
            lost upto Rs2000 in prepaid charges.Complaints made to customer care have
            been fruitless and their so-called 'customer sales executives' have been
            unhelpful.

              WE HAVE A SITE OFFICE AT 105 RACE COURSE ROAD, TWO OTHER AGENCIES HAVE AIRTEL LINES ALREADY THERE AND ANOTHER THIRD LINE IS ABOUT 30 METERS AWAY ONLY ADDITIONAL WIRE IS REQUIRED TO CONNECT FOR OUR NEW LINE.AIRTEL SALES PEOPLE CAME Mr.BASHA[protected]/ [protected]. GOT ALL DOCUMENTS AND ADVANCE OF Rs.1000 AND TOLD US LINE WILL BE WORKING IN TWO TO THREE DAYS TIME.I WAITED FOR ONE WEEK WITH NO PROGRESS.I WAS TOLD TO CONTACT Mr.GOPAL [protected].               Airtel — No connection till date

              A executive from Aitel company his name Raj soni came to my factory to get the form filled up for broad band connection on the 18/08 /07 and took the cheque also but till today no connection has been put soo far and he says that company has a policy to put not less than 4 connection no action taken till date

I WAS SURPRISED TO NOTE THAT AIRTEL CHARGE RS.10/- AND ABOVE. I CONTACTED TO AIRTEL TOLL FREE NO.121, THEY RETURNED MY DIFFERENCE MONEY BUT MY COMPLAINT ABOUT TARIFF WAS NOT MADE.                 My son is in melbourne, I used to call him at the CALL RATE OF Rs. 6.40 PER MINUTE. But after I got a top up of Rs. 500 on 25th October 2009, the call charges were RAISED to Rs. 10 PER MINUTE. On talking to the customer care executive, he lodged the complaint for this but didn't provide the complaint number nor was there any response after going again to the customer care office, Raipur. Please look into this matter.

                  hi sir this is ganesh complaining of airtel dialer tone. The airtel customer care has called us to join in the package of free dialer tone and at that time choosing free we have joined in that package, but after certain days they are deducting our money under the package of free dialer tone. this is intolerable as they are telling first free and then after they are deducting the money from the main balance. so it is my request that all the people of india are not too rich, but in the sense most of the middle class people are using mobiles and losing their money in the form of dialer tones etc. so this is my request to cancel the customer care calls by telling free or anything. thanking you

                  Dear sir /madam
                  I had purchased one handst for my son and i purchased sim card of airtel company.after near about 10-12 days, 30 Rs was debited from account for airtel radio automatically.then in this month 30 rs was again debited for hellow tune.and 3-4 days back 30 rs was cut for airtel frieds chat.and in all these cases we havent subscribed anything.and this is not only my complaint but it is happened with my 3-4 friends also.

                      I have been an Airtel Digital TV subscriber since Feb'09 (customer ID [protected]) . Recently I needed a second multi TV connection for my other TV. When I approached the Airtel Relationship Centre (ARC) at New Friends Colony, I was asked to dish out Rs 2000/- though the multi TV connection costs only Rs 1750. Another ARC at Sector 14, Noida noted down my number and address but have not got in touch with me though it has been 10 days. In such a scenario I was advised to buy the connection online by the customer care executives at[protected]. I made 4 different calls on 25.09.09 on the number and was advised by all 4 CCEs to buy the 1750 economy offer as there was NO way to buy a multi connection online. They all said the company will automatically generate a multi connection as the customer name and address were same.
                      On 27.09.09 however I was informed that a separate connection has been issued (customer ID [protected]). On informing the CCE again on the toll free no. I was asked to get the new connection installed by an executive and later Supervisor Vijeta submitted a service request no 1123292 and assured me that the connections will be clubbed by 30th September. Since then, I have been given two more service requests 1142101 & 1161154 but no action has been taken by Airtel; neither against the ARCs nor for clubbing the two connections. I am watching the economy offer while I should be availing the Mega pack like my earlier connection. Please bear some pressure on the Airtel authorities because it is evident that customer service means nothing to them apart from issuing service requests.

                      I took connection few days back.from first day i am facing problem with there digital tv
                      and there technical persona nd customer support not responding .never buy airtel digital tv
                      Your Customer care Service is Very Third Class & many more Probulm create to customer.
                      I have a connection of AIRTEL DIGITAL TV in the name of my father KRISHNA SINGH (a/c id( [protected]). We have lodgged complaints on 31 May, 11 & 13 Jun 12 regarding non display of video or picture due to signal problem. Cus Exec assured us that our engineer will resolved ur problem next day, but next day never comes. Requested to take necessary action to get the solution. Thanking you.

                        AirTel — transaction did not complete but my bank a/c is debited

                        I'd paid my postpaid mobile no [protected] bill of Rs. 834 last month for the bill period of jan-2011 to feb-2011, bill no 24139541 , through my axis bank account. I 'd got a message to retry the transaction from airtel, when i checked my account the amount is deducted from the account, kindly look into this matter and do the necessary. being such a reputed company you cannot let the customers face such silly problems. please do the necessary.

                          my name is ranjith kumar i did not get airtel network tower on my mobile i having this problem my airtel sim only other airtel sim woking will be fine i don no what problem that and some times is showing 3G log only
                          im using nokia N8 my num is [protected] kindly check it to activate my number i was sent so many mail to airtel customer care but no response i[censored] not activate my number with in two days then i disconnect my connection and i have to change my network, my email id [protected]@gmail.com my contact no [protected]
                          airtel is very very worst and bad customer support

                            Hi ,

                            I am kiran , by profession i am a software engineer from mumbai , I am a regular custome of AIRTEL since last 3 years but AIRTEL did fraud with me . i brought AIRTEL prepaid card : [protected] from pune since 2 years back by submitting mine legal documents .
                            I was using said card continuously for long time hence mobile number got spread to all my relatives and friends But unfortunately in last month 20/08/09 i lost my cell along with airtel card . When i tried to get duplicate card came to know that its no longer on my name .

                            AIRTEL OFFICER CHANGED my CARD OWNER NAME

                            hence i am unable to get the same card as its no longer on my name please make it possible to get the same card as its very important to me , i can provide all last 1.5 years call record for verification and my documents in order to prove that card belongs to me only . i had long discussion with
                            1. Customer care Mumbai ,
                            2. Customer care Pune ,
                            3. Incharge officer from Pune department .

                            But of no use .Apart from this many times i made complaints in customer care with my name they never mentioned at a single time .

                            By doing such Stupid mistake AIRTEL breaking customer faith which obviously affect to their business and become a headache for customer who is loyal and submitted his origional documents and after no of years he came to know that automatically owner name got change ?                               Hi --

                              I have purchased new postpaid connection from Airtel Chennai. after one week my SIM card not working with any of mobile phones irregular model/make. I have changed the SIM card three times

                              finally I got information from the Airtel executive that the problem with 64KB Airtel SIM card and advised to change 64KB to 32KB SIM card and problem got resolved.

                              for this known (Airtel) problem I have suffer more than month.

                                sir,
                                i have send a group message to 50 members from my airtel prepaid no [protected] with 2 message count on 04-10-09.although i have a offer of daily 100 messages free for one rupee.but they reduced my balance1+41 rupee from my account..when i contact their customer care they told that i have sent 49 message with 3 count and a 4 count for other..i have cross checked it several times..its not matching with what they talk..also some mesages were deffered sending...

                                  sir,
                                  Most humbly I would like to inform you that i was the Coustmer of airtel postpaid connection. I gave my application in their branch office for the disconnection of my postpaid number [protected] with clearing all my dues from airtel at velocity coustmer care centre for airtel (Rehari).They give me receipt and they said me that within a week my phone will be get disconnected and after i get a call from their costumer care office after a week on my another prepaid number that my postpaid number has been disconnected regarding my application and they ask me about the reason that why i want to disconnect the sim i also give them the reason for the disconnection. Then after few days they again gave me call on prepaid number that my number has been disconnected. I have all the receipts of my disconnection and my bill with me. Now they are sending me bill again and again every month they are mentally harrassing me , they are sending their representative at my home for the recovery of payment which how can i pay and why should pay.In this connection i also forwarded my complain to nodalofficer but there was not any response from their side. copy of that complaint is also attached below:-

                                  I was having airtel postpaid number [protected] and i have given an application in your airtel coustmer care centre rehari (velocity) to disconnect my number on 18 of may and i also cleared my balance on that day and they gave me receipt and said that my number will be disconnected within week time approx. and i they said me to give me alternate number so that they an ask me for the eason of disconnecting my number then i gave them my prepaid number which is [protected] and they didn't take my sim they ignore to take sim. And after one week i get call from your coustmer care executive for query and then they again called me and they said that my number was disconnnected and i through my sim some were . and now after one month i get bill of 462 Rs. from ur airtel office . as i have already cleared my balance and taken my security deposit back from velocity. now tell me whts the matter why i will give this bill. i am not going to pay this bill . And when i again reached to velocity centre and asked your executive about the matter and she said we will see the matter and call you. Now three days have been passed and i didn't get any response from your velocity center and the madam was also misbeheaving with me and she asked me that we will not call you. You have to come here because we hAve not enough time to waste on you we are not your servants.
                                  So please look into this matter personly otherwise i will go to consumer code and complain against your executive and your company for harrasing me .
