Dear Sirs,

Through this letter I wish to communicate you that my airtel prepaid No. [protected] is wrongly put in non-operation mode.

I have tried for an easy recharge of Rs. 200/- on 5th Oct,09 but the validity period 30 days was not transferred. Accordingly I had registered my complaint at Airtel Customer Support Centre and I was given an assurance that my query will get resolved in 24 hrs. But nothing happened and once again I had registered my query many times and each time I got an assurance that the same will get resolved in 24 hrs.

On 7th Oct, 09, the validity period of my number got expired and till date it is non-operation mode. On 9th Oct, 09 I have sent a detailed mail to Customer Support Centre and once again I got a reply from Ms Carol Voidhiva, Cutomer Care Executive, that my query will get resolved by 12th Oct, 09. But once again the assurance went in vain.

Again, I had sent a mail on 12th Oct, 09 with a threat that if Airtel people continue to harass me then I would go to Hon’able Consumer Court but once again they seemed to be not interested to resolve my query but to defer it for another 24 hrs / 48hrs etc. etc.

Sir, on 12th Oct, 09, I spoke to Ms. Poonam, the Appellate Officer of Airtel at [protected] and again I spoke to Ms. Poonam on 13th Oct, 09.

Sir, can I say;

(1) Airtel is deceiving the customers.
(2) Airtel do not follow the customers’ values in practice and whatever words they say is just a theory.
(3) Airtel means Air + tel = Telephone in air, don’t know the ground realitiy.
(4) What ever Airtel commits goes in Air and is invisible.

    I hold airtel mobile number [protected]. On 22 Sep 09 I received a miss call at about 1045 hr. i called back on the number where i was told that it was inderjeet who was calling from delhi airtel call centre and told that you have been won Rs10,00,000/- and just check and confirm that the number on your sim card is xxxxx. He told that its a toll free number and you call after checking the number. I checked the number and found it to be the same. i called back and informed the person, who inturn took additional information for confirmation in terms of my address and voting ID etc. Afterward he said that you will have to purchase platinum cards of airtel dish TV to get this money. on this i refused to take the money assuming it to be a company selling gimmiks.

    when I received my mobile bill , i was shocked to see that the call was from pakistan and i was charged Rs 240/- for the call. I contacted the airtel office at Manimajra chandigarh, where i was told by the relationship manager that some time back the information was hacked from the computers and that is how the information has gone to pakistan. I called up customer care at mohali head office where Madam harpreet said on 10 Oct that they cannot do anything as you have made the calls.

    I need following clarifications

    (a) How the information of my my mobile no, my sim no and my details were with a person in pakistan? Is it not the company's fault that the info has been leaked at their end?

    (b) Is it not your responsibility to inform the consumer about loss of such information?

    (c) what happens if the hackers use the little info hacked from u to acquire bigger info like in my case and use it against the country to make fake ID cards!

    (d) who pays the bill for fault of yours?


    I need urgent reply to my case as i intend to report the case to media and police. Also i would like that the billed amount of rupees 240/- be adjusted or i would refer the matter to consumer court.

      Please find the problem list which we are facing from mid of Sep’09 as below:
      1. When we connect airtel usb, after getting connected. When we try to connect WINDOWS LIVE MESSENGER, it gets connected within 2-5 mins., but as soon as its get logged in , within 1 min. It gets disconnected.
      2. Further with reference to above matter, when some browser is open or under process, when we try to connect any messenger , it is not getting connected. And we gets error for connection problem.
      3. The transfer rate is very slow around 1-2kb/s. In edge connection which is less than gsm-grps connection.
      4. Using Microsoft outlook for sync. Of mails, if we get mail with attachment of 5 mb or more, it takes time for near by 20mins.
      5. Using Microsoft outlook for sync. Of mails, if we get mails of total size of 10MB or more, the sync. Will start at good speed and after downloading half of the mails i.e. 8-10 MB, it gets refresh and again starst synchronising from the zero level.

        Airtel is using an integrated software to repeat same mobile number automaticaly in an interval to rise the phone bills. If you check your calls then you will realise those calls are not made. One day I had noticed this and checked all my previous bills realising that they had been doing this trick for a long time. The authorities hesitated to pay back the excess collected.

          Post paid sim has not been activated after payment

          Brief about problem:
          I took a postpaid connection data card from your DSA "KARSHNI SOLUTIONS' and the new sim with the sim no[protected]) on 08/10/2009 by paying advanced rental of rs 3500- paid by cash to "KARSHNI SOLUTIONS" receipt no- 2199 but as if not the sim has not ACTIVATED. Don't know where is DSA exist on earth.


          Airtel company don't maintain his DSA details through which the company is doing business and the company is not aware that what the DSAs are doing with their customer.

          Its my assumption that If the DSA is fake then how he got the new sim as well as the customer registration form for post paid connection as well as receipt book also with the name of Airtel. I want to know the answer if the DSA is fake and collecting money on behalf of AIRTEL.
          If Airtel customer care not takeing this issues seriously. I am going to file SUIT against AIRTEL

          i am requesting you India Goverment pls take the nesscarry action against this,

            My name is Nikhil Choudhary and my airtel landline number is 42106415. I made a request to reactivate my broadband connection on 1st Oct 09 and i was told that it will take 4 working days. When i called after 4 days to get the updated satus i was told that it willactivate by 10th Oct 9.36 am. On 10th Oct i called after 9:30 and i was told by Mr Anil who issupervior that it will be activate by 5:30 Now Mr Umakant is telling me that it will take 7 more working days. In last 1 week i spoke to 7-8(Karan , Ashwini, Jyoti , Moorthy , Umakant etc...) of customer care dept and each one in coming with different stories.
            Airtel seriously don't care about his customers and i am a big proof of dat.

            My name is imran and my airtel landline number is [protected]. I made a request to reactivate my broadband connection on 04/10/20 and i was told that it will take 2 working days. When i called after 2 days to get the updated status i was told that it will activate by 24hrs u will be gettig a call but still its not reactivated please activate as soon as possible.

              Dear
              this is satish my post paid no. [protected], i have submitted all the required documents and verification was done at my billing address, i got the introductory letter from the Airtel, and i paid my first bill with in due date. Now they deactivated the services due to the non verification of the office address. No body responds at the Airtel out let, I called the customer care executive, he said it will take 4 hours to activate. When that 4 hours comes no body knows.
              if some one can help please resolve this issue

                  In continuation of the posts of 4/10 and 6/10, the problem of not being able to contact customer care still lies unresolved. They have not cared to resolve the problem and have closed the case without resolving the problem nor have they written any mail since long.
                  Now elevating the case to Gujarat nodal officer.Copy of mail written to them is as follows:
                  Dear Sir,
                  With regret to tell that have complained since two weeks that unable
                  to contact 121/12118 while in roaming. Getting error`service not available due to technical error.` Have given alternate contact numbers
                  but no one has cared to resolve the problem. Only doing formality-time pass.The cases are closed without any resolution provided. Moreover the executives are harassing the customer by writing non-sensensical things and asking same info again and again
                  which has been provided umpteen number of times.
                  For your info, this our communication is before the public(in public forum) so that all can see the attittude of airtel executives.
                  PLEASE RESOLVE THE PROBLEM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

                  I am Joypreet Singh r/o New Delhi and my airtel number is [protected] and its been almost 10 years that i am using this number and all of the sudden i have come to know that details of my bill have been given by some airtel outlet/ representative to some other person. I have seen my airtel bill in some other person's email. I have contacted airtel and nothing has been done for this. I am told by airtel customer care representative that no representative had leaked my bill details to anyone. I just want to know that what about the bill which i have seen in someone else's email?? And when i have contacted airtel customer care i am told that my account is opened on 27th July 2010 and 11th October 2010 by some rep named Mohit (both the times). I just wanted to inform that i have never contacted airtel neither on 27th July 2010 and 11th October 2010. This clearly indicated that some rep named Mohit has opened my account and took out the details and leaked it someone. Airtel has not taken any step regarding the same now i would like to go for some serious legal actions regarding the same as because of this i am facing lots of problems in person as well as in business. I have also launched a complaint with airtel bearing the complaint number[protected].
                  I hope ill get a positive and quick response through you people.

                      Dear Sir/madam , my name is Dr. Ashwani Nayyar and mob no. is [protected].Almost 6 months back , I have submitted an application for ECS for my bills at Can and Able communications,,jyoti chowk , jalandhar.I have submitted triplicate copies of the application form duly signed and stamped by bank.I was asked that these will be sent to head office and it will be done.After - months , when I enquired from your no. they told me that there was no request for same. OK.Last month,may be around 6th Sept, I again submitted the triplicate forms signed and stamped by bank,but this request is again not fulfilled.When asked from Can and Able , they replied that the application has been sent but on enquiring from , I was told that there is no request.Now my complaint is that where has my forms and request gone?Have they not been submitted by Can and Able or again they have been misplaced by someone?I am not writing the name of the company person to whom I have submitted but if required I can give It to you.I hope someone will take notice of this and do the needful.Thanks.

                          I received the following SMS on 2:16 AM on 10th October 20009,

                          "You have received a MMS but it cannot delivered on your phone. Retrieve the MMS at http://125.21.241.88/mms. Use your number to login with password ouwoccav."

                          On going to above mentioned site a page opened up having a Airtel logo and written there was Airtel Multimedia store.

                          For my convenience I Google up for any Airtel so called multimedia store and didn't find any. Also the mentioned in the SMS does not carry any proper certificates and has expired on some date of 2008.
                          Any update on this issue?
                          I too am getting the same SMS daily, and have checked thrice, but the site says session logged out. My number is [protected], and the password it gives is neatleb, in case u want to check out. Is this a phishing message or something? or does the site have some harmful content?

                          Please do let me know what I need to do for the same.

                            I would like to share my experiences which I had after applying for Airtel Broadband.

                            I urgently needed broad band connection as I was supposed to work from home for a month. I requested for Airtel connection on 28th of August by calling the Customer Care. Initially I got a response that currently there is no connectivity in my area, so I started looking for other service providers.
                            On 2nd September I got a call from one of the Airtel Representative, saying that within a week they can provide me with connection, earlier connectivity issue has been resolved.
                            Next day he came to collect the required documents & collected a cheque of Rs 4000. (SEF No. TBLR 0023703).
                            Then onwards the problem started.
                            A week passed; still I didn't got any response from Airtel though the Cheque of Rs 4000 was already encashed.
                            I called Customer Care; they told there are some connectivity issues due to which it has been delayed. It will take another few days.
                            I waited for another week and contacted the customer care again, now they told you may not get the connection and we will refund you back your money in few days.
                            I also tried contacting the executive who came to my house and he told due to technical issues we won’t be able to give you the connection, it will take some time to refund back your money.

                            After calling Airtel for more than 10 times, finally I got my money back in the 1st week of October.
                            Then on discussing this issue with my friends I got the big picture. As the quarter end (Jul-Sept quarter) was nearing, so as to make their quarterly results look better they applied this tactics of holding the money & customer till the quarter ends.

                            There would be many other people who might have had similar experiences with Airtel.
                            On part of customer he feels cheated at the end; he has lost time and effort without getting anything in return. His money, his name has been mis-used by a company to boost of its financial results.
                            In the whole process I have contacted Airtel Customer care/Representatives more than 40 times.
                            Logged many complaints but no one was bothered about the real issue. Every time the response was we will refund your money in few days.

                            In first place my cheque should not have been encashed if they were not in postion to give the connection. Secondly if Airtel doesn't have connectivity in a particular area then, connectivity wont reach that area on its own unless and until they have a plan for expansion in place .

                            So please beware of such tactics.......(I have plans to go further in logging complaints against them)

                            I am sure they will have nice quarterly results again this time :)

                                Despite my various message, self requested you to deactivate my yahoo zone subscription,
                                but nothing is happened and continuesly they are charging g Rs.10/- every 7 days, Hence
                                again i am sending my complaints not to deduct any amount further. If they not bother about

                                Deactivate Airtel GPRS Service
                                Despite my previous request through mobile to you to deactivate my Airtel GPRS Service subscription, but nothing is happened and continuesly you are charging Rs.35/-month from last two months.                                   I used Airtel postpaid connection atleast for > 3 months. I paid one year advance rental for my mobile no. [protected]. But due to some cause(customer care & courier response) I did't feel comfortable with Airtel. It effected my study also. I requested to Airtel officers for discontinue my connection. I am not using this no since last 8 months. But till today I didn't get any confirmation from Airtel.

                                        Its Me Ajeet Singh. I have been using airtel Broadband connection since last year My tel ph. no is -[protected],

                                        I have been using the airtel 999 Combo plan with 6GB of free DSL usage with 2Mbps speed for past one year or so. My average bill amount always has been in the range of INR[protected].

                                        The bill generated for last month however is exorbitantly high, the amount is INR 11835. Airtel has recorded very high DSL usage for last billing cycle and the DSL usage split up which has been shown in the bill is highly impossible.

                                        I had raised a complaint regarding this around last week (compplaint number:24892722, executive name: amrita). I was told that I would be contacted by 08th. of October by the customer executive, but noone has bothered to call me back about my query yet.
