Amazon india has been very unprofessional in delivering their product.
I had placed an order for asus abtu005 10050mah zen power bank (Silver), on the 21st of april 2016. I used an amazon gift voucher and my debit card to pay the amount. That's when the waiting game started
I've been tracking the package and it's clear that the package arrived at bangalore facility on the 28th of april. A bit late but understandable. But ever since then the status of the package has been the same. I would get update every now and then say the same exact thing.
On the 06th of may, i call up amazon expecting an answer. The representative promised me that it would be delivered by evening. But it didn't. I called up again. I got the same answer, but this time asked for a 24-48hr duration.
But again on 8th of may, i still didn't receive the product. So i called up again and got the exact same answer as before. At this point i was pretty frustrated but still gave them another chance. This time though, they sent me a mail saying that i'll be receiving a free replacement if it's not delivered within the said duration.
On the 10th, i again called up. And no surprise, i got the exact same answer ("will be delivered within 24-48hrs"). Any human would be boiling with rage at this point so i started asking for reason and told them that it must be delivered today. After placing me on hold, they finally confessed that it was lost in transit.
Is this a joke? Were they so embarrassed that they were so hesitant to tell me this? Amazon is an e-commerce giant. But they are so poor at handling such minuscule things. Very unprofessional. No respect for the customer's time.
So, anyway, they have initiated a refund. But what am i supposed to do now? Wait for the refund, place another order and wait for the package again? No compensation for my waiting and the calls i had to make.
In summary: amazon takes money from it's customers, makes them wait. Doesn't deliver the product that the customer was so eagerly waiting for. Waits for the customer to call several times. Then says sorry and gives back the money. Is this an amusement park ride?
I wasn't expecting this from amazon. Never am i shopping there again. And i'd discourage anyone from from doing so too from here on.
