I will like to introduce myself as a regular customer of Amazon. However, I have been really disturbed by the pathetic level of customer service that I have recently received from your Indian subsidiary.

I ordered a few bed sheets to be delivered to my parents back in India on 8th Feb 2016. Order ID[protected]. The item was expected to be delivered by 25th Feb but it never arrived. Given that it was a third party seller, I reached out to the seller asking about the whereabouts of the item on 24th Feb, 2016. The seller informed me that the package has been misplaced by Amazon easy ship. I subsequently reached out to Amazon too and they acknowledged that they have missed the delivery date. Amazon promised to call me back on 29th Feb and they never did - instead they sent an email saying that they don't have an update from courier team.

With lack of response from both the seller and from Amazon, I filed for A-Z Guarantee claim on 1st March 2016. As per the terms, Aamzon.in is expected to refund based on my original payment method. It also says that most claims are resolved within 1-2 weeks.

And here I am after 3 weeks waiting for the response. What I find disgusting is that despite Amazon losing the parcel, they refuse to take ownership for refunding the money. Please see excerpts from the subsequent emails/chats :

a) 12th March - "I currently see that A-Z Claim has been filed for your order. Hence, I'd request you to wait and I'm sure you'd receive a positive response soon"

b) 17th March - I still had no response back and therefor reached out to the customer service again. Response : "The A-Z team had concluded the seller to initiate the refund for the items... I will contact the seller on your behalf and request him to initiate the refund". As per he A-Z guarantee terms, Amazon.in is expected to process refund, I am not sure why the third party seller needs to process it. Does that mean that my card details are being shared with the third party seller. This is a serious breach of data security.

c) 19th March - Still no refund so I reach out again. Response : "I have escalated the issue and we will make sure that our team response back to you within 24-48 hours regarding the refund for your order". I received no response within 24-48 hours.

d) 21st March - Still no refund, so I reach out again and I ask for a firm date to receive the refund. Response " Allow us time till 24th end of the day we will try to resolve the issue". And I received no response back.

e) 25th March - still no refund and so I reach out again. Response : " I can assure you that you will surely get your refund as soon as possible... I have concerned with my senior and we have escalated the matter to the higher authorities of A-Z team and requested them to issue the refund for the product as seller is not responding... As of now I would not be able to provide the exact date (for refund)"


On 26th I receive a email from Amazon where they have chased the seller again for issuing the refund.

As you might appreciate the reason we order through Amazon is because of the assurance that Amazon provides that our money is in safe hands. But the above sequence of events suggests that this is not really the case. It has been almost 3 weeks now and I am still waiting for refund. All I have been provided till now is assurances but I have not received my refund.

Reading your interviews, I get an impression that you treat customer complaints very seriously. The normal complaint escalation process has failed and therefore I am writing to you hoping that you will take appropriate action to a) process my refund b) compensate me for the hassle and c) take appropriate action to improve customer service in future so that I dont have to do through this experience again

This is my last attempt to reach out to amazon for refund. I hope a resolution soon or unfortunately I will have to take appropriate legal action to get my refund.

    I had a debit card and a credit card saved on my Amazon account. Suddenly I received an alerts that 15$ was spent from my account. I could not trace the source but later again another 15$ were spent from my other card at a similar time of the day. I noticed that it was through some company audible. And then eventually after doing some research I found that it was an amazon company and the link between my two cards was my amazon account.
    This is an absolutely illegal way of extracting money from the saved cards without permission. I will ensure that the message is spread to not use amazon services.
    I want amazon to acknowledge this and ensure it doesnt repeat with any other customer and secondly I want amazon to reimburse me for the hassle I took to block and reissue my cards at 12:00 am in the night to ensure that no further fraud happens on my cards.

      The delivery boy is not willing to deliver ye stuff ordered (Order Id:[protected] to my address and he is asking me to come and pick it at the place which he wishes to. I ignored it as amazon promises door step service . This happened on 25/3/2016 . Yesterday(26/3/2016) he dint even call me and message was sent me that addressee was not there . He is purposefully doing this .I made a phone call and complained about this to amazon office but no action is taken. Delivery guy called me from this no ([protected]) . I still dint receive my order please take strict action against him and deliver my order .

        Due to some reason I requested to cancel before delevery of the product but they did not canceled buy saying that give return request after receiving the product now they are not listening anything, I keep on calling to their customer care but no solution provided i have not even opened the perfume box its in orginal packing +sealed I am very upset everyday I keep on calling 10 to 15 times a day but now they have refuse to refund the amount and replacement, they said they will not even reply on email I am very upset I have been harass a lot I came to you with a hope that I will get solution(justice)

          Sir I have Purchased Redmi2 Mobile from Amazon India. Now it has gone faulty . It is in Warrenty period . I showed same in service center pune . But service person denied Warrenty saying that circuit is burnt so cant be repaired within Warrenty. I leaves in Nagpur. And MI service center is at Pune and Mumbai.
          What option I have available plz guide.

            I bought a branded perfume and body lotion from Amazon.in and when I received it I was shocked to find out how horrible it smelled and gave me a bad headache!! And this is one of the best brands so I doubted I might have received a duplicate product! Now I contact Amazon Customer service to return them and they say please return it by yourself to the seller as its not Amazon fulfilled!! I say ok no problem just refund me the amount.. I go to 6 different courier offices and they all refuse to ship them as they say that 'Online walo ka bohot nakhra hota hai' and 'Ye sab hum log ship nahi karte'. So I tell Amazon about this and they say - Sorry please return it by yourself!! I tried to speak to 3 - 4 reps but they all denied to help me and one of them offered to give me rs.50 discount for products worth rs.2000!!! Unbelievable!!! So now I'm stuck with products I will never use... waste of rs.2000!!!

              Sir,

              I have ordered moto-e on march 3rd 2016 (Order #[protected]. But item has not been delivered yet. Amazon have changed the delivery date 6 times already. Every time I contact customer care, they say it will be delivered with-in 2-3 days. I have contacted customer service 4-5 times till now. i see same seller is promising one day delivery in amazon site.

              Amazon India is cheating customers. Please take necessary actions against them so they should not repeat this with anyone else

                I ordered lenove k4 handset through Amazon website on 11th Mar'16 by paying extra rs 50 for fastest delivery charge. I got the product on 14th Mar'16. after using for 2hrs the handset was found defective. I filed the return request. I returned back the handset on 15th Mar'16 to Amazon courier team. Also I got an message that I will get another handset of Lenove k4 by 19th Mar'16.ORDER #[protected].
                Today is 25th Mar'16, there is no information is available & I didn't get my order till date. And I have taken this handset through HDFC EMI system. My EMI is already started but i have not received my Handset. When I calling/emailing customer care, I didn't get any positive response from them.

                  Had a conversation with an uncouth, officious customer service executive (Kirti) who suffers from verbal diarrhea.
                  1. Her primary objective seems to be educating the customers about the processes that Amazon follows, which were not even remotely connected to my query.
                  2. She wanted to inform me that I am going to receive the product before the last date mentioned by Amazon, surprisingly most people receive the product before the last date mentioned by the company.
                  3. Had to tell her to stop speaking, and inform her that she had conveyed the message long back – which had little effect on her and she continued to blabber.
                  4. Probably she does not understand the language and needs to be taught English from middle school level on-wards.

                    As i decided to buy a mobile on amazon they deducted 10000 rupees on my moto g3 order but they are not at all responding me till now. It is still in process they are telling so please help me through this or else they will rob the money of so many innocent people they are really robbing. so it is completely on you people to dissolve my problem. i hope this site will.

                      I have ordered cenizas cotton double bed sheet with 2 pillow covers, a ever seen worst product, i have just spread it for 4 days and washed in tumble was without soaking it even then the complete co lour have been bleeded and in first was it is looking like a year old bed sheet, i have paid 600 which went in vein, i want ma money to be refund on my account immediately .

                      I even tried calling on your toll free number which is of no use

                      U can not just cheat a customer with these cheep products, u should check the product quality, before posting in your website, if it continues no one would like to even watch your add apni dhukan .

                      Regarding this complaint Amazon team have called me and asked me to do some bank formalities which was not done due to bank issue, Thy made me Rome more than 3 times for diff ATM machines to generate the response code, n now not responding on ma call either messages, i will not leave this issue, will take it further if i ll not get ma money back .

                      As i Have Raised a complaint in Amazon India regarding the refund of R.600, and I recieved a fraud call from [protected] Ms .Swapna and told me that she is a Customer care executive from Amazon quality and complaints team and she ask me to tell ATM Card no and Expiry date and last 3 digits in my card for the registration and refund process of my money after I recived OTP on my registered phone and I have given her the same to complete the transaction by POS e-commerce transaction .

                      Later when I checked my bank account details I realised tht Rs.600 900 and 100 total 1600/- is been deducted from my account .

                      Kindly find the person and kindly credit the same amount in my account. with the help of IP Tracing of that person, we can easily trace the fraud person and senetence to the suitable punishment.

                        What else could you expect from a rs. 4000/- perfume bought from amazon?? That at least it would be genuine, but mine lost it's smell after 3-4 usage.
                        Since i opened the bottle, the fragrance was diminishing. After 2 and a half months of it's opening, it became dead in all.
                        Now amazon isn't taking the responsibility of this loss.
                        Certainly this is cheating and robbery.

                          I was gifted a amazon levis card, i was not able to use it so contacted there customer service on march 22nd, siva representative informed me they will get back to me within 24hrs, i never heard from them. Later on march 25th when i contacted them back and the rep arshita was so rude that she disconnected the chat conversation. All the information which she was asking me was available on the previous chat

                            Very poor support from amazon for this product. Will never consider buying from amazon after this experience.

                            First of all I was sent a wrong invoice for this product which had a wrong IMEI mentioned in the invoice. Recently developed some display issues with my Mi4 in which yellow spots had appeared on the screen. Xiaomi agreed to get it repaired within 24 hours since I was scheduled to travel out of country in 3 days. But the problem was that there was no way the seller could be contacted to regenerate the invoice with the correct IMEI number. Sad part is even Amazon was not able to reach the seller and help me out in this.They said that the new invoice will be available afer 3 days only. I cannot wait for three days since I will be out of country and the place Im going doesn't have a Xiaomi service center.
                            I spoke to Mr Shoham and Shreeja Madam in the customer care department and they were unable to give me a solution for this. Now there is no way I can claim my warranty for this product and the one responsible for this is Amazon.

                              I bought 1 redmi gold 32 gb and 2 redmi 16 gb on 18th march 2016 from amazon.In.

                              The phone is very rare and its hard to book it soon, so the next sale was on 23rd, i wanted a gold 16gb for my parents (They dont know online shoppring ) .
                              I was able to place the order successfully and i got a mail confirmation too.

                              After 2 days i got a mail that my order has been cancelled because this is limited and only limited from one amazon id.

                              I talked with customer care executive and they said the issue will be solved easily dont worry. But the sad part is nothing has happened yet.

                              My question is : if that is limited then why amazon allowed me to book and place the order successfully. Now this is highly insult for me and i am feeling bad by the service,
                              If that is the case then amazon.In should work on their site and algorithms to prevent users to book after limit. But after placing the order this should not be done.

                              Amazon want me to create multiple accounts or say fake accounts to book the order multiple times?
                              So that amazon will get more accounts created and generated benefits .
                              Our parents dont know online shopping so i booked for my mom this phone.

                                I have ordered ferry rozer watch on 3rd Jan 16 but it was not the same material I have orders, so I have requested for return, pickup was done on 8 Jan 16 via blue dart courier services, but still my refund pending, I have called customer services many time they are saying that they need receipt of blue dart, so they gave me email I'd, when m trying to send email, server not accepting it, m tired now, just do needfull

                                      As indicated in subject two product i have booked in online on[protected] and credited from my account .More than one month product has not door delivered.I asked about this details via phone, e-mail, chat message to amazon, a.S.International and dtdc couriers.There is no responds from them to my complaint.At last they have escaped as refunding my amount to my account within 2-4 bushiness days on[protected].Still now there is no responds about my product and they have not refunded my amount.

                                      Hope amazon remember the products i ordered (Listed above) and paid on 16/02/2016 from my son's bank account.

                                      But till now, i haven't received the products, i am getting only two liner reply by amazon. Amazon keeping silence and no further steps were taken to deliver the product.
                                      So this says, amazon doesn't interested to satisfy customers and in gaining trust from customers. Amazon delivering cash on delivery products very quickly in doorsteps and i need to suffer lot when receiving my cash paid product. No further steps were taken to deliver the product in doorstep even though i paid the delivery charge.

                                      Being amazon is an international company, they should not prefer dtdc courier as its a fake, no phone response in branch office. Courier men phoned and said to collect the product from there office, as they don't have service to my address, my question is, if they don't have service to my address, why amazon preferred dtdc courier for delivering product? So why the delivery charge has charged?

                                      Till from beginning, i recommended ecom, bluedart courier for delivery as they have good service to my address, but amazon not responded to that.

                                      Being i didn't received the product in time, i am in loss of thousands of rupees, so who is going to pay for that? Amazon? A.S international? Dtdc courier?

                                      This is a final warning, amazon should take immediate action to delivery the product within two days, i will prefer the consumer court as next step.

                                      Hope amazon remember the products i ordered (Listed above) and paid on 16/02/2016 from my son's bank account.
                                      But till now, i haven't received the products, i am getting only two liner reply by amazon. Amazon keeping silence and no further steps were taken to deliver the product.
                                      So this says, amazon doesn't interested to satisfy customers and in gaining trust from customers. Amazon delivering cash on delivery products very quickly in doorsteps and i need to suffer lot when receiving my cash paid product. No further steps were taken to deliver the product in doorstep even though i paid the delivery charge.
                                      Being amazon is an international company, they should not prefer dtdc courier as its a fake, no phone response in branch office. Courier men phoned and said to collect the product from there office, as they don't have se
