Dear team,
Please be informed, my father in law had lost his iphone 6s on 13 april 2017.
1. On the very first day when cellphone has been stolen, he was under impression that someone is doing a prank with him & will return his cellphone back next day.
2. As he was holding only one cellphone & that has been stolen, so he lost all his contact details & was not in position to contact any one till 14th april.
3. We are also unable to reach him, hence next day (15th april 2017 @ 11:00 am) i call the neighbors in order to understand the situation & then he told me that someone has stolen his cellphone, hence i advise him to fill a police complain for insurance claim, duplicate sim & miss-use of cellphone.
4. On the same day i call appsyouneed customer care in order to inform about this event & during the conversation your representative told me that i've to fill a theft police complain 1st & then with in 48hr, i've to fill a claim via your website.
5. On 15th evening theft complain has been reported at nearest police station but due to the unavailability of police sho & they record the fir into their system on 16th of april & shared fir copy with my father-in-law on 17th morning.
6. On 17th morning, when i tried to claim the insurance via portal, it doesn't allow me to select the day of event (13th of april), so i called your customer care in order to explain the problem but your representative is tell me some different story, as per him i should report this event on 13th or within 48hr, however as i mentioned earlier i came to know about this event on (15th april 2017 @ 11:00 am) & same day i called your customer care & they ask me to get the theft fir first.
Now i'm so confused what to do now??, so i have selected 15th as event date & generate cin "dapr04188". (Please guide me, how i can proceed now).
And your representative is very very rude with me while i'm explain the complete situation & instead of suggesting any alternative, he simply said i'm not gonna process your claim at all.
I never came across such a pathetic response from customer care.
Would you please look into this matter & suggest me some workaround.
Note point : my father-in-law is sr. Citizen, please take this into consideration while deciding timelines.
