All Bajaj bikes have this as inherent problem and the Pulsar is the most sought after and replacement costs Rs. 3600/-, probably Bajaj is making huge money by selling of these silencers as spares.

i have purchase xcd 125cc last year nov2007 still 1st service bike is OK and millage is 92km per Ltr but after 1st service my bike millage is 45km to 52km per ltrs.then i give to complain to Grand Bajaj they are test the bike and some repair work done after the repair nothing is hapend so this the continue five six time still free service is furnish, now problem is going on so i am fedup with your bajaj dealer at puri the dealer is not having qualified technicians at service center.if this is way to care a valuable customer then there is no self respect for the people. if these type of dealer will bajaj gave to the market then bajaj will loose its prestige. i am old customer of bajaj and i like all the products. still i have two more bike of bajaj boxer and a scooter. i hope you can undrstand my problem and gave me good solution my bike status is 2nd paid service.so please kindly solve my probelem and take action immediately,

I agree with these kind of problem bcs i have also purchase Bajaj Discover dtsi 125cc from one of show room in Godhara. That silencer was also fail within warranty period and technician told me same thing list ed in comment by Babu George.So pls take some necesarry steps against this kind of problem.Also the glass wool inside the silencer is not necesarry as all earlier bikes does not have this and also if some water touch that wool that makes corossion inside the silencer

Bajaj/Discover 135 Bike — Non Changing of Silencer Pipe

I purchased a motor bike (Bajaj - Discover 135) from Amit Bajaj, Kharagpur, Paschim Medinipore, WB, 721301. After Six months from puchasing date the Cilencer Pipe of the bike disturbed. Then I contact the showroom. They committed me to replace the Cilencer Pipe. Because after they getting the new Cilencer Pipe from the company, they dynie to give me that.

So you kindly take a action as early as possible.

I would also file the same complaint in this manner, facing the same problem with my Bajaj discover 125 cc silencer, purchased my bike in the year 2005, only after 6 months of the purchase, a crack on the silencer's tail side was noticed, which was bring in to the kind notification to Meerut ‘s Bajaj dealer Vikrant automobiles at that time, but no treatment was made for this, after 2 years of the purchase, the silencer had broken into two parts.

Its very unethical practice for a company like Bajaj to deliver such kind of faulted products to market. Mr Rahul Bajaj pls. do something in this regard.

I would not advice Indian consumers specially who belong to Indian internet community to purchase Bajaj products.

i have a bajaj discover 125cc and now its silencer inner core mesh comes out from the silencer..

it is like hairs of sumone ..
after removing it makes so much of noice or crispy sound..

I completely agree with this complaint!
I am having same problem. I have purchased Bajaj XCD 125 DTS-Si and now my bike makes bad noise. Technician says that 'something' inside silencer is broken and you will have to replace this. My bike is still in warranty period, but service centre guys are giving me some silly reasons that your servicing is not regular, etc. Do they service 'something' inside silencer?
I am really fed up. they will make me to pay 3250/- for replacement. And I don't think new part will last for at least 5-6 more years. Bajaj customers have to spend this much amount after every 2 years. I am feeling like throwing this bike away... but I cannot afford new bike.

I agree with all of you, I had Bajaj discover 111 cc purchased on march 2006, today[protected] my bike silencer broken in to two pieces, but I had this problem since last year. Some people are using the same by doing welding. Why because there is no assurance that the new silencer will work long time. But I don’t know that effect of welding on engine and mailage.

i have the same problem, I wonder about the cost of silencer. it is ridiculous.
i have an advice to everybody, better go for hero honda, which is more reliable

My Discover is 3 years old. I love my bike and always take additional care for the maintenance. I am really surprised to see that my bike silencer is getting rusty. The service boy advised to weld the silencer and I have done the same. Horrible now it got a worse outer look and more worrying part is that now the beat of the bike is completely different, it creates much noise now. Its sounds like an old bullet bike. Now the charge of replacing the new silencer is 3200. All the additional care and the money spent for the proper service are gone in vain. Now I don’t know how the bike will look [only black silencer available] or sound with the new silencer. Bajaj should take care of this my giving a guarantee for its spares over a period of time or it will lose the reputation.

I am having bajaj discover 135 cc bike. I had made the service to my bike on Shiva Scooter agency ( site-4 Sahibabad, Gzb, 201001) on 17 jan 2010.The invoice number is[protected] and job card number is[protected]. According to him some problem is in the clutch so i have changed that and my bill has been generated to 1315 Rs. amount. After near about 15 days later i am started to face some kick free problem then i came again and they fixed it but 3 days later it came again now i do not have time to come there again and again .

Then i came to service on 11 march 2010 then again they were saying that you have to replace your clutch then again they have changed the clutch and generate the bill to 1766 Rs amount . My invice number is[protected] and job card number is[protected] . I am not able to find out how the clutch went useless in short time period as i have doubt early service was made very bad so kindly take care this issue as soon as possible as i am getting hopeless with bajaj service center.

but disagree on other things..like performance, power etc..

infact Discover 125DTSi is havin around 11.5 bhp which is very powerful for a 125cc bike..as a result..great pulling..n ridin comfort for even long distance runs..

bout milage ...mixed feelings..was around 55 in mid stage..n now that my silencer is hollow at back end, givin 42kmpl..

silencer costs around rs 1500 if you are NOT getting it from, bajaj..
Bajaj as all company does charges highly for the spares..

Altogether its not a very bad idea to get a Bajaj bike..
i din have to spend too much on my bike for the last 3 years despite my rash driving..

it was broke from inside just only in two years i hv repaired it, again in two years now it is same condition and making noise, new silencer is of 3500 Rs

yeah i m also facengin the same problem science i bought my discover 125 in 2004 when it was launched, my bike sounds very different from other 125cc discovers...in the beginning i was not able to make out wat the problem is...the bike was running very harsh and vibration were at max at speeds of 50 and above i am regreting since i bought this bike and no mechanic is skilled to fix this problem ...now my bike's silencer is developing crack at the end and i m sure it will be in two pices...bajaj boffins are making us consumers fool by selling so bad quality product by showing very high performance but in real their bike sucks...its like all show no go...so guys my advice is dont go on buying a bajajs bike by simply fascinating by its looks...reliability factor is ZERO...go with honda or something...

I am having the same complain. i am having discover 125 cc bike, it has not completed even 10000 Km and its silencer has broken in two pieces near its tail end. its a very costly part of bajaj bikes. dont ever go for bajaj bikes....

I too have worst experience with Baja Discover 125 cc, Silencer was failed after 3 years . This is cheep trick of Bajaj Company . If they know about problem in silencer they should issue new design silencer for cost to cost . Next time I will not go for Bajaj and I am suggesting my friends to go for Hero Honda

I brought the the bajaj discover 125cc last 2 month before.problem is still we not run 500km's it,s getting oil leak from the engine, where the gear leaver will come out from engine(engine number-JZMBU00 89579),totally 2 times we filled oil.

How much a Discover silencer costs ? Mechanic is saying 4000 . is this correct?

I have a bajaj discover 125 DTSi (2006) and faced the same issue with the silencer, it broke into two half. I took it the authorized Bajaj service center and they told that the new one (which is not aluminium but a new material) will cost around 4200/-. I'm not sure if that is the genuine cost of the silencer. But looking at the complaints in this thread it looks like common issue with Discover 125 silencer. Bajaj being India's common man's vehicle company would do something about this? Complaints like this force us and advice friends not to buy bajaj 2 wheeler and look out for other companies like Honda or Yamaha with great spare parts durability.

Hi there I am also a victim of bajaj Silencers, I think this is the trick from bajaj to make money from selling spares especially from the silencer, s which is costing 3900 in hyderabad this is the worst part i have noticed. This is really strange, Dear bajaj do you want your customer.'s to change the silencer for every year if so plz inform the customer's while selling your bikes.. I have purchased Bajaj Discover 125 Dtsi on Aug 2006. After 3 yrs while I was riding the bike the glass wool came out from the silencer pipe. Till then I am facing continuous problems with the silencer pipe. At that time I considered to buy a new one and dropped because of its cost( Rs 3500 or so ). Few months later it started to get rusting from inside. My neighbor owns a two wheeler of another company. He parks his bike outside and I never seen that bike cover during rain. Its silencer pipe still looks good. Whenever I see his bike I feel pity on my bike's silencer. Now I got 3 or 4 holes(due to rusting) at the rear of my silencer pipe.

i agree with ur complaint as i've also realised this prob.in gear shifting.

I've an another problem with my shockers. Whenever there are 2 people on the bike its shockers are failed to absorb the shocks. Whenever there are some breakers on the road or something like that i use to slow down the speed n try to pass the breaker with smoothness but even then my shockers makes a noise of deadly hit which makes me panic.

So should i change the shockers?

yes bajaj finance sucks to the core. I was coming back from my college to my home on my friends bike and they stopped me on the way claiming that my vehicle is in the wanted list and the owner hasnt paid installments .. then they took me to their spot 10kms away from my location.

sir, i had taken bajaj pulser register no tn38ab[protected] first three month i paid in bank in the fouth month i preclose my loan in bajaj finance (Coimbatore) after i paid the money they told to come and collect the no objection certificate after 10 days.. i ring them there is no response i went after 20 days they are telling you have pending two dues yo have to pay. i spoken to them i preclose my account then how can i pay there is no response from them .. i dont know what kind of step have to take... still iam waiting for my certificate

i want to take a insurance policy of my hp laptop but there are no any company who will insurance of my

I have purchased HCL PC, which was financed by your Company. My Proposal No. is 401/C4872. As per proposal my EMI had started from 05 July, 2005 @ Rs 923/p.m. As per my record last installament has been deducted during July, 2008. This is Rajeev Kumar Thakur I have taken a bajaj pulsur on finance from bajaj finance hyderabad. Everything was going on well i got a job in pune and as it was diffcult for me to maintain the hyderabad bank account . I visited Bajaj finance office in july first week 09 and told them the issue that i want to change the bank . They and given me the option of swaping the bank did that on there advice and given them the required cheques and 500rs for swaping charges from the next month I havnt recived any checks in my account from last 4 months . even after given many calls to the hyderbad centre and the pune head office as well . everyoe will provide you a call back in 5 minutes and so on going on from 4 months still 5 minutes has been finished and they keep on sending the there boy to my old house where i dont leave now and feel insulting i feel like doing a harsment case on the company if things dont sort out soon

This is Rajasekhar, last one month back i got call from bajaj finanace customer care from pune regarding personal loan approval for me around 81000/- with in the interest rate of 25% per annum like that, i spoken to ur customer care executive he said all details about that loan, but i am not satisfied about interest rate so i have not taken that loan, i sent reqeust for that also.

After one month i got call from ur side again for approval personal loan 81000/- with interest rate of 21% like that, at time i agreed for that i have given all documents to vizag local executive, today i received cheque of Rs.76480/-, but there is interest rate is mentioned around 25% and EMI is 4388, the loan account no.4080PL00000040, i shocked about seen the papers what u have sent to me, early u people said 21% interest and Rs.4117/- EMI per month like that, regarding this matter i spoken to vizag local executive they said they help less about this issue, all transctions comes from HO only like that, but it was mistake o[censored]r customer care executives, who will bare the balance amount, i have taken DD also, but there is a variation of around 8000/-, i am not happy with ur service, regarding this issue i called up pune help line so many times and sent SMS so many times, but there is no response from ur side, its very bad service.

Plz take all conversations recordings earlier from last one month between me and ur customer care people, plz take recordings of all phone transactions and let me no, they said only 21% interest but now ur mentioned 25% interest, plz reduced interest immediately, otherwise i will put complaint against u in the consumer form at the same time i have recorded all conversations between ur people and mine in my mobile phone.

Plz do needfull, and deduct concern amount what u r mentioned extra rate of interest, what u r given loan amount, i am waiting for ur replay, its very bad situation i have faced with u.

Bajaj Finance — not received policy documents for last 4 months

I had purchased a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop from House of Laptops in Pune at their Aundh branch on 27th Dec 2008.

The invoice number was A305 and it is in my name.

I had also taken an extended warranty for the same from bajaj alliance by paying the required amount.

I, G.ANBALAGAN, purchased Bajaj Discover 135 on 19th of August 2007 and I paid all my dues through ECS and cleared off loan on 15th of December 2008. It's Registration No. is TN 10 S 7637 .Everything went well and the Chennai two wheelers loan sanctioning authorities returned the original RC only and asked to come some other day for NOC. I several time contacted and there was no proper response. When the Mumbai people contacted me for providing fresh loan as I have been identified a perfect customer I explained my difficulties in getting the NOC from Chennai Bajaj finance office and they assured me of mailing NOC with in a week. Even though several months have lapsed I did not get it till date. Mr.Padmanabhan, the person who asked me to come some other day giving the phone number, never attended my 100s of phone calls. This has caused me mental strain.

While you sanction the loan you are getting pucca records from the individual. When the loan is repaid in full with out any anomalies you are also expected to return the records with the same perfection to enable the customer to cancel the Higher purchase. Your people are not doing it because of the disinterest evinced by the head office and the lacuna in the system of discharging the duties to satisfy the customer. If this trend continues and I am not getting my NOC and LIFETAX token with in fifteen days I shall prefer a complaint in the consumer forum for the mental and physical torture caused to me by you for no fault of mine. Even myself is one of the victims of Bajaj Consumer Finance. I am not understanding how they have deposited the ECS on Aug 29 and again on Sep 8.
They are not professionals.

i had taken a personal loan from Bajaj finance and these people have taken the same amount twice from my bank account. i am paying the amount back through ECS and these peopl are very careless and unorganised about their procedures. In spite of they taking the money twice they still call up and ask for non payment. ridiculous.. Where should i compaint about the same? Could anyone help me on this?

I too have a problem with the ECS facility. I bought a television from Croma with bajaj finance as the loan provider. inspite of submitting all ECS forms - I have been getting calls at the end of the month that the money has not been paid. When asked for a reason - they say they do not know. This has already happened thrice. Every time a person comes to collect cash at the end of the month and when asked for a reason of why the ECS is not being done - they are clueless. Where can I complain regarding this?

However they deducted the EMI on 15 as well as on 25th of March as well. It doesn't sound and look professional. If they keep doing so I guess they will loose the customer base and the reputation they have in the market. I initially thought that I should call them and let them know this thing and lodge a complaint. But the long term sheet they gave me doesn't bear any no of there. So it is very frustrating. I had purchased LG Split Air Condition in may 2009 through Bajaj Finance and my installment is Rs.1950/- p.m. this month (August) I have received call from Bajaj Finance, Ahmedabad office that your installment is bounced for this months because you have unsufficiant fund in your bank. sir, every month my installment will debited on 10 date (every month). I have checked with my bank and in august i have only 2 transaction 3 august(credited) and 20 august(debited) the amount in my account is sufficeient i have a balance of Rs. 8585/- on 3 august and my installment is only Rs1950/- and my debited amount on 20 august is just Rs.472/-. so, you can easily varify that who is done mistake?

I'm very sorry to be so harsh on this mail to you, but i'm very frustrated with the kind of experiences that i have faced with Bajaj finance organisation.
I had taken a 2 wheeler loan from you in Mar 2007, till date i have not received one single communication from bajaj finance on my payment schedeule, due dates, rate of interest, poeriod of loan, contact details etc.
Now i plan to foreclose my loan and i dont even have proper telephone number where i can talk to someone. After major struggle i managed to get a customer service no.[protected]. The funniest part is, on my first call to this number someone pickedup this ph and promply replied "Bajaj fin may i help u" when i asked him i need details to foreclose my loan the phone was switched off. Till date it is not switched on.
I contacted the dealer whom i purchased the vehicle from he is more frustrated than me with bajaj fin for various reasons and he too did not have the ph no other than the above number.
I'm surprised that such a well known company does not have ph where customers can talk to them for any help.
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY REDICULOUS. CAN SOMEONE LOOK INTO THIS AND HELP ME.

I took a loan for laptop from bajaj finance. At the time of first ECS installment they informed me that the ECS has not happened due to some techncal problem and you need to pay the installment amount in cash. I paid it in cash, but when i checked my bank records, i find it was debited from my account, the next day, i paid it in cash. When contacted they informed that the amount paid in cash will be adjusted for next month installment, but now for next month also, ECS debit has taken place.

I want my extra cash amount to be paid to me.
