Bescom says it will supply current regularly but fails every summer i have seen it from KEB days.My father says this problem is from his days (1947s)or even before. the karnataka power transmitting corporation limited or so called BESCOM is no use. every year the ministers say we will give u uninterrupted power but they fail to do so, this will not change after we die or in future our government is corrupted iam sorry to say this .I am 23 years old and am fed up with the way gournment agencys are running.I request all the ministers concerned with Bescom should have a metting take action .Patents Doctors in Hospitals industralists workers it companies are suffring because of power cutsand poor water supply If you do not take any action you will make people suffer.So please supply power properly.There was power cuts every 5 mins throught the day today (26 feb 2009).The engineer in Kengeri S town when complained about this says please ask the power minister do not ask me

BESCOM — Power Supply So Poor

The power supply in Munnekolala (Marthahalli) Area, has become a big nuisance causing untold miseries to our daily lives. Power outage of long and short durations are as many as 5 to 10 times each day and there is as much as 3 to 5 hours of total time each day spent without power supply. Most of the times the complaint telephones are either not picked up or the land lines are kept off the craddle. If they do reply, it is only that a maintenance work is in progress. What kind of a professionalism is this that BESCOM needs maintenance with the frequency mentioned above? How many times each day and how many times each month does BESCOM conduct maintenance? This has been disrupting our home and professional lives. Either the explanation (maintenance in progress) given by the staff is a lie or if it is true, the department is totally incompetent to handle power supply.

The Minister for power keeps assuring that there will be regular power supply. Is someone from BESCOM or the related ministry listening to our pains please?????

    The power supply in AECS Layout, Brookfield Area, has become a big nuisance causing untold miseries to our daily lives.     This is very true. This become even worse during rainy season. Moment it start drizzel, power goes and god only knows when the power comes. Sometimes the power doesn't come even 4 to 5 hours after rain stops.
    This is totally true...6-7 hrs of power interuptions happens these days in AECS layout and some times intrupted about 10 times a day...This is total nuisance.I moved in to AECS layout a couple of months back and this problem never seem to stop.wat is the department doing??? ..are they totally negligent about this ???? where as this does not happen in BTM or jaynagar.

    Can any one look into this ????? please for god sake..
    I am also a resident of AECS layout. We are having power cuts of 5-6 hours daily with interruption more than 10 times a day. I even enquired with Ravindra (Area AEE). He says the problem is due to overload as existing supplying unit is not able to take the load. He says work o[censored]pgradtion has already started and it wl be completed within a month and half. But these kind of assurances, he has been giving from a long time. So cant rely on that.For the whole of Bangalore there is no power cut, only in and around AECS layout area is suffering from this. Is our power minister hearing??

    BESCOM — Difficulty in Walking on footpath

    This is regarding the unauthorised (?) connection given to a phone booth for physically handicapped person on "Bannerghatta Road" next to "Belikahalli Bus Stop". The live electical wire is dangling dangerously on the footpath and has been like that for the last 4 months. I am sure this is will kill somebody one day.The person who owns this is so arrogant that you cannot even talk to him.
    Can the concerned authorities take some action on this?
    HORRIBLE POWER CUTS!!

    BESCOM — LOW VOLTAGE

    Dear Sir
    Residing at NO.70,Ragahava Nagar 1st Cross,(Kukkuttamma Temple Road) New Timber yard Layout, Bangalore- 26 We always have quite low voltage in the range of 140-180V, which inturn causing a lot of problems and defects in pumping out water from motor and house hold appliances.
    Kindly look into the matter and do the needful at the earliest

    Hello,

    I agree to what Rohit is saying. Because, a similar thing happened in my area (Jayanagar 8th Block) yesterday (7th April 2010).
    This is how load shedding was done:
    Timings & Time Frame
    7AM to 9AM - 2 Hrs.
    12 Noon to 1PM - 1 Hr.
    2PM to 3PM - 1 Hr.
    4PM to 5PM - 1 Hr.
    5:30PM to 6:30PM - 1 Hr.
    8PM to 9PM - 1 Hr.
    A total of 7 Hrs there was no electricity in the area.
    As a citizen of Bangalore understand that in this season there are no enough means of generating electricity. Hence load shedding needs to be done to manage it.
    As a citizen I want to know what is the justification that the BESCOM team has.

    Note: If BESCOM officials want to respond with the reason. Avoid these reasons like No enough power available (Everyone in the city has been listening to this for a little over few years now and its only getting worst every year.), we are working on it and will fix it (For the last few years you guys have been working on it and have only managed to worsen the situation),

    We are done listening to all this CRAP and expect some better and appropriate answers for the situation we as citizen of this city are into.

    BESCOM — No Power Supply from 4pm on 20th Apr

    Ther is no pwer suplly at Kagadasapura from 4pm on 20th Apr till now its 9am there si no rectiffication done.
    Bangalore IS A SO CALLED HIGH TECH CITY - bringout the Non Kannada people and IT outside this Fool's heaven - THIS IS A MERE SUCKING VILLAGE. ALL SHOPS, PUBS, INDUSTRIES are due to outsiders... here power goes for 15 times a day as well - crap !!! A storm on 20th April at 3pm - see these bogus - they cannot restore power even at night 2 ( >11 hrs)...
    Who will listen to you ? These people cant even communicate properly and makes false commitments - electricity is an emergency service - but surprisingly these buggers have no war foot mentality.Finally supply has been restorted after 24 hrs. 7 Bisleri jars are used for drinking, cleaning and toilets - as the entire house went out of water as well...Bescom Sucks !!!

    iam staying in 10th cross,29th main,btm layout 2nd stage.i need to complain about the bescom ppl regarding the power supply in our street and next cross 9th cross.whenever there is rain or little bit cloudy power supply was cut off in our both streets except remaining streets..suppose if there is power cut in whole area when the power supply is restored except our street and 9th cross ppl wont get power remaining other areas will be having power..i dont know why this discrimination is shown only to our streets?why the electrcity people forget to give power to our streets..i have been staying in this area since 1 yr same problem..no body cares..

    now its early morning 4.18am..last night it rained heavily..the power was off..when i got up in the morning i was found except our 2 streets all other streets having power supply..whole night we suffered so horrible without power.. i have fed up with this power cuts in our street so complaining at this early hours..

    plz take my complaint and make sure that there is no discrimination in power supplying..i dont understand is it negligence of lineman to give power supply to us,,

    BESCOM — Unscheduled in your area is making our daily life miserable

    I am staying in Kundanahalli, Green Garden Layout from last one year

    Un scheduled power cuts daily making our life miserable. There is no / low voltage power whole night i.e from 5 pm yesterday till 10 AM in the morning.. left to office after that . Not sure if power has come now or not.

    I had tried to reach them whole night to check the status. Most of the time response says phone not working / busy. If connect response from them is 10-15mins we will get power.

    In addition to unscheduled pwer cuts, We have come across 3-4 major powercuts i.e. nothing less than 15hrs continuously during my stay here.

    BESCOM — Very Very Frequent power cuts

    I stay in C'Block AECS Layout. I hardly know a single day without a power cut in my place. Always there is power cut which is quite irksome. Atleast there should be fixed timings for teh power cut. Because of this all my electrical appliances are in stake. I'm afraid because of the very frequent power fluctuations. Why can't this problem be taken care.

    BESCOM — very low AC Voltage from 120 to 170 VAC

    Dear sir

    I am staying in 283/20, 1st main, Jakkasandra ext, (Koramangala post),Blore-34. we are facing Voltage problem in our building. normally 220 V AC should be available i.e single phase. but we are getting 120 V to 180 V AC only. due to very low voltage our TV, Refrigerator, Washing machine are damaging / not working. plz take necessary action do the needful.

    BESCOM — METER CORRUPTED

    The electricity meter deployed by BESCOM in our home is malfunctuioning (showing bill more than 600 everymoth,we have only one tv I & my friend both are doing job).After so mnay times we have complained in the office but all in vein.Would any body please help us in this issue?

    BESCOM — Insufficient light poles

    I am a resident of panduranganagar sahyadri layout (#79 1st cross sahyadri layout bannergatta road panduranganagar bangalore - 560076). I would like to inform you that there are insufficient light poles in our street and a few more are required at the beginning and the end of the street. I would kindly request the concerned authorities to look into this matter and take quick action.Your co operation would be appreciated.

    I love this complaint. It applies to me as well. Just today, in one hour, the electricity goes out 5 times. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me. And the best part, I require my computer to work. It's October now, its nice and cold, so obviously electricity in each household won't be used much ( a/c's, fans, I never switch mine on due to the cool air outside). Yet there's a power cut. Do they run maintainence everyday? We've reached the 21st century and you'd think this would change. Never in India I guess.
    The minister might be toying us around by claiming uninterrupted power supplies for every household. It sure looks like he's all talk and no action.
    Why do these people call Bangalore a Metro city ? These a'holes don't even provide the basic necessity. There is power cut every god damn day. Bangalore is the most over-rated city I have ever been to. Ahmedabad isse acha hai yar. Ek do baar power cut hota hoga saal me that too if that happens ever. And look at these BESCOM fools. They are always upgrading or doing some . And as soon as a drop rain falls these will cut the power like a some storm coming. I hate these stupid people. Why doesn't government do something about these for sake.

      On February 10, 2009, Tuesday, I had no power supply from 8:30 a.m. onwards. I registered a complaint at 9:00 a.m. and was told that it would be attended to. At, 10:30 when all my work was put into a hold, since I work from home, I called back again and they said that it is the first time that a complaint is being registered that day. I again registered a complaint and they again assured me that this will be attended to within an hour or two. Again, when I called up after an hour there was the response that a person has been send to the area where I stay and the issue will be attended to. At 2 o'clock when I again called them up, they had a discussion amongst themselves, which I could hear on the phone, and finally said that a person will be coming now. Till 8:30 p.m. this thing went on and there was nothing done in this regard. The funny part is each time I called, I had to furnish all my details regarding my complaint once again. I wonder how do these people manage the show in this. Do they even realize how much of inconvenience it is to the citizens? My whole day's work went for a toss, the small children in the flat below were kicking a havoc since there was no power. I wish some action really is taken regarding such callous behavior. This complaint was registered in the Banaswadi BESCOM office.

      On 16th august 2009 at 7:00am i have registered compliant to KR Puram BESCOM office.
      Details of compliant: Two days back in front of our house Electric pole is burried, cables are laying down, the pole is bended 20 degrees apart, due to improper erection & also Cables are not joined properly it is very serious. and they told now our shift is completed we will inform to next shift people. at 10:00am Mr.Ghose (Line men) came and told this is a unauthorised pole shifting you have to inform for our JE Mr.Harish and he given the mobile No:[protected]. i called immediately to this number and he told You come to our office, Presently we dont't have the pole shifting persons.17th i went to KR Puram BESCOM office at 10:40am and i asked staff they told both persons were not yet come. today ie 18th august 2009 also i called two times and make a compliant, no one is responding.

      I don't know what these people are doing.Well are they bringing their KIDS to the office and making them play by turning of the power.Well, am a resident of Konapannaagrahra.
      And their is no time of power cut..these freaks cut it at their own time..
      Be it 6:30am in the morning or 2:30 am at early morning.
      I work on computer and there is no power most of the times..
      This is horrible.. they said there would be no power-cut after that long one..but no use..these guys just wanna play on the switch.

      At SRUSHTI RESIDENCY apartments on New BEL Road, the trr. burnt out ON Sept. 17th evening, TWO DAYS AGO yes 48 HRS. ago and BESCOM has not yet restored power - this is happeneing in BANGALORE - THE SILICON CITY OF INDIA - THE FUTURE SINGAPORE !!!

      for fuses AND CABLES WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED BY BESCOM.
