This is really a worst and worst company I have never seen like Bata. And the customer care is very poor. I have bought Hush Puppies chappals costed Rs.1699/-, within no a year, I had to throw them. When I contacted the customer care and complained about chappals, they are talking about shoes. I feel Bata company is having customer managers who have common sense to speak by looking at the mail content. But after looking at the response the company is waste and the employees of Bata in Mumbai are not having any common sense to reply to the mails. Please look at the mail responses below. And when I sent them to look at the mail properly, they didn't even respond to it. When I called customer care, that's really a very poor response to get connected to the customer care even. What a pity that I can show to Bata, a famous company can't able to serve its customers.

Dear sir,

Greetings from Jayaraju.

I bought three pairs of HP chappals (ART No #8746825) on 24-Dec-2009 from BATA store, Cambridge Road, Bangalore. Among them, one pair, due to frequent use, the bottom of the chappals had completely torn off within 6 months.

When I visited the BATA store again last month, the shop owners placed the request for replacement of that pair, and the team approved for only 50% replacement.

I believe that Hush Puppies is a very good and long lasting brand, hence we are ready to spend Rs.1699. But they have not even lasted for a year.

If you agree that this brand from BATA is a very good one to go for, I request the team to provide me 100% replacement.

I knew that the guarantee period is only for 45 days. And if you think that you can’t replace my chappals for 100%, I believe I should not trust BATA for something that last for years.

Appreciate your value towards this customer and quick and positive action.

Dear Sir,

These are not the shoes. These are the chappals from Hush Puppies and the cost is Rs.1699. The article number is 8746825.

If you have been confused, please rectify the same. And the chappals are bought on 24th Dec 2009 which is not more than a year.

Please let me know if you can do something else I will register the case with the consumer complaints where all the consumers login before buying any articles.

    I have Purchase your company shoes from Bata showroom the address of your company showroom is Jangali Maharaj Road Deccan Gymkhan Pune on dated 18-Octomber-2010 (Bill No 18-10-10/1/0073 02039)
    But within 3 days your company shoes is total cut in the medals and I was go to Bata showroom for solve my problem But your company owner or employee told me, you give your shops to me for 1 and half week so I told him I have no other shoes so you please try to repair this on 1 days or issue me new shoes but he argue with me. I am very disappointed from your company service.
    So I would like to request to you please do the needful and solve my problem for your reference this shoes give to me my mother this most important for us.

      I have been a BATA customer for decades (since 1960.) It is observed since one year that the inner sole GUMMING are very poor. Recently I had purchased One pairs of Scout shoe for my son on 07.11.2010. It is observed that the inner sole Gumming is not proper at the heel area. This was shown to the sales person who explained that this common for all the shoes. He had shown other pair from his stock which also had similar defect No GUMMING at the heel area. Kindly explain the technical reason for the same.
      However I donot agree with the sales person because few months back I had purchsed 2 pair shoe for my self, One pair for my wife & one pair for my son all had similar problem that after using for few days the inner sole got squeeze & wrap up due to poor gumming.
      Kindly expalin & justify the reason honestly. How do you compansate the premature failure.

      Bata is one brand i trusted however in the past couple of months bata has produced such bad quality products that i will stop buying shoes from there and will ask all my friends and relatives to do the same.They not only have bad quality shoes but are very bad at customer service as well.They have no respect for the customers who has come with a complaint.I don't know what difference my complaint will it make but i literally will curse bata shoes for wasting a lot of my money in past couple of months.
      As i already send you my complaint against the bad quality of your shoes that i purchased from Bata India Ltd., Land Mark, Vishal Mega Mart, New Delhi after one month of it's purchasing it has damaged badly. .When I told to the dealer of this showroom he refused for its claim . My bill No is 03375 and purchasing date is 19/11/2009 other informations are given below :-

      I am very much dispointed with quality of shoe which i buy one week before. In one week itself it is torn condition.What's happening at Bata - there was a time, when I used to admire the quality - now its pickpocket ! we spend so much for name but the quality is worst than road side products.

        Hello Sir,

        I am Sumil from Cochin(kerala) . I am a regular customer of Bata,Last time i baught a shoe from Bata showroom located in M.G road ernakulam ,now the shoe is having complaint.The pasting has gone off ,like pealing off the upper layer from right shoe while the other is perfect,When i went to your showroom they ask me the bill but i missed the bill even though he recognize me.I even hardly used around 2-3 months Please solve my problem at the earliest .
        I am looking for your reply. I am extremely conscious about the quality of a product and customer satisfaction, as we take utmost care to retain our customers in my organization, where i work. I would expect a similar role from Bata India limited too.

          While thanking you for the reply, I would like to request you to cleanup your eyes with cold water, because it has already passed 8 days to my complaint.In these eight days i have called atleast 10 times to your customer service nos. printed on the bill but couldnot get connected to the operator,which reflects that these nos. are just a fraud display to disguise with customer.
          Please do needfull as i am in need and going to collect these shoes tommorrow, and will takeup the matter to consumer forum.

          After a use of merely-15 times in 45 days, I ofund that 30% of its sole pasting came-out.I returned it to your shop asking him for replacement but instead of replacement he has agreed to repair of sole, telling us that this is a minor mfg. mistake.

          1. PASTING IS A MAJOR PART OF YOUR MFG. PROCESS, HOW CAN YOU CONSIDER IT AS A SMALL DEFECT.

          Sir,
          I 'Ankit Maheshwari' purchased a pair of shoe on dt 25.11.2011 from BATA Store Valley Bazar Meerut. But unfortunately shoe has been broken within 15 days. And bill of shoe is lost from me. And Bata store neither issuing me duplicate bill nor he is replacing my shoes..He is demanding 200 Rs for exchange of shoe. I also complained to BATA customere care on dt 22.12.2011 and my complain no is[protected] but i didnt get any response from there till now. Sir my humble request to you plesae solve my problem as soon as possible.

          Dear customer care,

          this is anshul one of the old user of the BATA .,

          i bought one pair of shoes of WEINBRANNER. Article no 853.4220. This is a lather shoes i bought on 30th April 2012 for my brother marriage..

          But unfortunately i could not used my shoes the hole month of may due to my final exam in my collage.

          When i come back in june then i started to use my pair,
          after one and half months i found my pair is loosing it's pasting then i called at store and told them my problem. Even when i was purchasing that shoes i told the store boy this pair is loosing pasting, he replied no sir it's branded one this would not happen with this and u have six month warrenty and i have only one pair of your size... Do not worry..

          I bought the pair of rs 2500/- bcoz i had the faith over the BATA, i m the one of the good family users of BATA products. This is not the only single shoes i bought from BATA... I am a user of bata from my school time...

          When i called at store, store manager said sir come with the pair we will repair the shoes. Then i said this pair must be replace,

          then he replied this is a normal with the branded shoes, mostly branded shoes release their pasting, , , i told him if shoes is branded every brand gives warranty for pasting. Either it is Adidas Nike power or WEINBRANNER, and i gave him a perfect Indian shoes company example which is very old & famous for it's quality and best products, that is known as BATA.

          but he said no sir company can only do pasting again, Only this comes under warranty, but WEINBRANNER is a good brand and known for their quality services and product as well.

          After a long hot talk and with unsatisfied comments i compromise and allow him to repair My pair, On 5th of august i submitted my pair at store and he said we would return your shoes on coming Wednesday.. Then i replied ''very fast'' i think it takes 10 working day or 15 days... He said no sir u will get soon..


          When i reached on Wednesday to receive my pair,
          again i found a fault that my pair is not repaired by the company, this is repaired by one of the store boy

          he pasted my shoes with the feviquick first, and second he did his work very poorly.. He pasted my shoes outer line and upper part as well, it's look like cheap and local shoes now..
          I m also attaching the pic that i took at the replacement time on the store. It would be easy for you to understand the problem ...

          Then i said now i can take my shoes back, i already compromised one time, but not again

          i had not spend my rs 2399/- for this headache, and i was not expecting at least this unsatisfactory service..

          So plz look at the matter and safe me from mental harassment.

          I can so comprehend what you must be going through...recently my father picked up a pair from BATA first their service was below standard...the staff was more involved in purchasing bangles and chatting with each other...
          To top it up the Store Manager was another illiterate pathetic soul, someone who has never been introduced to the term customer service.
          I guess I wouldn't blame the Store Manager as much as I would blame the company after all we mirror the values of the company we work for.

          The sole of the first shoe came off in less than a month, when we complained he said there is nothing that he can do about it.
          The only favour he can do is exchange it for us...which in any case he would have had to as it was well within the period...
          The next pair didn't even last a week and when we complained he said give it back if we are able to sell it off to someone you can get your money back.

          I would really love to know how low can BATA stoop...

          In 1 Month after buying shoes got tear

          I have Brought shoes of Bata Hush Puppies shoes from Bata Pashim vihar B-1 Showroom. With in one month it got tear from bottom when i went to replace it then they repaired it but again i'm facing same problem.

            I have purchased one shoes of BATA Company some time 4/5 years back.The utilisation of the shoes are very less because of enough quantity.

            To day after a long time, I have utilised said shoes but in the evening to my surprise, the sole of the front side of both shoes detached and torned and departed from the upper side.

            Since there is a facility of web sight,I have thought to complain directly to you.

              Sub: Complaint against Bata Ltd.

              I had bought Bata leather shoes around 8 months back from Bata showroom at fort (next to AkbarAllys) for Rs.2000/-. Both the soul of these shoes are actually broken and the inside rubber is comming out from the soul and it is difficult to balance wile walking.
              I had visited the same showroom to meet the manager (I guess Mr. Ramesh Chavan) couple of time, but he is never available at the shop. I fail to understand why such people are recruited by Bata who are never seen in the branch. Further, the other staff (Mr. Irshad) does not know how to speak to customers. He was rude and very arrogant.

              I asked Mr. Irshad to change the base of the shoes for which he replied saying that it will charge me additional Rs.450/- and there will be no guarantee for the shoe after that.
              I fail to understand why in first place bata makes such cheep quality of shoes that does not last even for a year. Further, why cant you give a guarantee for the new soul that you will add to the shoes

                I had bought a pair of bata "scholl" footwear for myself a couple of months back from MGM, Gurgaon. After a couple of wears the dark brown colour on footwear started pealing from a particular portion. with each wear more and more of the colour is getting pealed off and a much lighter colour is apearing from underneath. i have used "schools" from bata for several years and have never had a problem with them in the past. i requested the person incharge in the MGF mall shop to replace the pair for me. He agreed that there was a problem with the pair and asked me to lodge a complain on this site. he said that once he gets instructions from the head office in response to the complain he would be able to give me a new pair.                   I am zaheerkhan, a very old custommer of bata .three months back i purchased five bataschoolbags from one o[censored]r bata showroom which is placed at abids hyderabad,as i have already informed you that the bag's which you have given are of a very poor meterial ..that's why three of the bag's have been damaged .my childreen are facing lot of problem to go to school due to the damage of there batabag's.as i am a custommer since 30years to ur company, kindly my request to you is that replace the bag's as soon as possible.of bill no:dated:1-6-2010/1/0153.

                    I purchased a shoes whose soule got damaged after wearing 6-7 days only since I purchased from your approved shop of BATA dated[protected]. I visited the shop and showed the condition of the shoe. They recommed to me to write to customer service for reimbersement or replacement.

                    As per the advice given by the shop I had written a mail to customer service but they are not replacing the shoes Instead they are willing to adjust 50% of the old price with new purchase. They are telling about return policy of checking the product within 75 days and in case if there is any problem the same will be treated in different slabs accordingly.

                    These days as every one has more than one pair of shoes and no body wears the same shoes every day. A person who has a capacity to purchase Rs. 2000/- shoe does not depend on that particular shoes. He must be having atleast 6-8 pair of shoes. This shoe has also been worn only for 5/6 days but after which this problem has occured.I have showed the condition of shoes to the shop from where I purchased. They ensured me that just write to customer care(Ph No[protected] & your shoes will get replaced. But getting a reply from there end dissappoints me. Instead of thinking of there product and quality they are showing the customer about rules & regulation, Which I suppose a company like BATA should not do.

                    I purchased this shoe considering Bata as one of the best brands available in the market and now we are not satisfied with the product and its services.

                    As there willing to replace the shoes does'nt look like, So I am requesting your interference so that I can get justice.

                    I am one of your customer using Bata foot ware during the last 30years .I had purchased a pair of 10inches Bata confit Shoes worth Rs 1999.00 From Thevara Showroom at Kochi.one and a half month back . Now I found the shoes are in a damaged on sole(Cut) this is my first experience of complaint found in Bata shoes. .But unfortunately cash memo lost from my custody I had used the shoes only for seven days, because I use car for travelling and I have some other Bata shoes and quadies. One of my shoes has 4years old and still it has no complaint .kindly make necessary arrangements for replacing the shoes from the concerned showroom as early as possible

                      I had bought a pair of footwear for Rs399/- from Bata showroom some time back in Mysore.
                      And after wearing it for sometime, I got rashes and later wound on my foot with the leather straps of those footwear. I can't wear it as I don't want any further wounds.
                      Though I may not ask for an exchange or a refund because I bought it quite some time back.
                      But I would like to bring their kind attention towards the issue and would like to know what caused it.
                      I guess the leather used is poor quality.

                        I have purchased one pair of chappals for my father from Bata , it was packed for some time ,as I was out of station ,today I took out to give it to my father from the pack ,I saw that it’s sole was crack and damaged I took it to my near by Bata shop - ( chowk Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh) , they advised me to take it to the shop from where it is been purchased , as I do not remember from where I have purchased the same.
                        I request the company to please exchange the same as according to me Bata is a trustworthy company who cares for its customers

                          I purchased shoes (Product code 85980 ) of bata Show room at 249/- Rs. Cost from bata factory outlet showroom B J Complex, Ashram Road, Ahmedabd phone no.[protected] the case memo :[protected]/1/0044 02026 , dated[protected]. Only after ten days its leather erode from the front side and wrinkle occurred. shoes are looking very bad.

                          He did not give me also the suggestion/complaint form also
                          So please sir i am complaining against Bata Company and his Bata Show Room who is in Bata factory outlet, B J Complex, Ashram Road, Ahmedabd phone no.[protected],
                          I would like to know from BATA how they are going to treat my complaint. The way they are to respond to my complaint would reflect their faith on the Quality system and Customer satisfaction.

                            I have purchased BATA shoes(with out lase) from Hyderabad Tarnaka of Rs. 909.00. The problem is with the right Shoe ELASTIC on sides. its looking like the ELASTIC has reached Expiry date.(its is very loose there is no grip.) Due this iam facing problem in walking and getting pain in hip and Knees.

                            i went to the store at tarnaka, told about the problem i faced, the store person told that "it will be get repaired" it has done after 2 days but not for RIGHT shoe(actual problem with RIGHT shoe). he took another 4 days to get repair(re-placed the elastic). i started using, after FOUR days ...facing the same problem.

                            There is no proper response/Customer care from the BATA store. responding rudly.

                            Now please tell me what to do ....already i asked for replacement when i went for 2nd time.

                            I request replace my SHOE. Please do the needful

                              I have purchased one Jogging Athletic Shoe (power) Worth Rs. 1099/- from Bata shoe store, B.J.Complex, Ashram road Ahmedabad on dt. 27 june 2010 8.45 P.M. .

                              Due to lack of time and trusted BATA brand name, I have not checked properly at the time of purchased.
                              Taken and went to the home.

                              I was surprised while I checked shoe properly at home, that was one of the defective piece.

                              Photographs & bill attached.

                              After that when I visited BATA shoe store on dt. 29 june 2010, the sales person and manager told that this fresh shoe piece is supplied by the bata company and we haven’t any another piece to replace this shoe,
                              you asked for the company, when they supplied that model that time you replace that shoe.

                              Neither they replace the shoe nor refund the money.

                              So friends Be Careful when you purchase any goods from most trusted company like Bata .


                              I also sent a complaint at customer care at customer.[protected]@bata.co.in and tried to contact at customer care complaint via phone ::[protected] but not connected.

                              Let’s see what happen.

                              they will take 10 days for solving my problem, let's see.

                              As in your email, that is clearly indicate that you can not refund my money as you thought that this is not a your dealers fault, means if i can spent a money for purchasing most trusted brand name shoe that is my fault. there is no customer satisfaction guaranty ,

                              what a nice surprise to receive a that type of email,

                              and all the time i have to visit bata shoe room for exchanging my shoe, it’s a very big tragedy to faith in most trusted BATA branded name.

                              as your email is clearly indicate that i m bound to purchase Bata shoe worth rs. 1099/- ,

                              dear sir its a not a good for any healthy organisation,

                              I know that may be it’s a dealer fault to selling defective piece with the price of fresh piece as there is the counter of also discounted piece and they earn more money from that type of piece. So you enquire that showroom also. Bcoz it’s a matter of your branded reputation.

                              I know that rs. 1099/- if I spent for jogging shoe not a big money for me as well as your company, but if you lose the faith of your customer may be harmful to your healthy Organisation.

                              Thanks for your reply as if the showroom replace my shoe with the fresh one I have no problem, but you will be think one thing that all the person not a free for that type of company fault.

                              A Little Advise by the smallest person to the trusted BATA organisation , that

                              you must be listen one thought of the greatest Indian Mahatama Gandhi “ The Customer is always right ”.

                              so if you believe in your customer satisfaction then you have to proved that you care to your customer also.

                              Bata company — Selling of Defective Shoes

                              Dear sir,

                              I, Jitendra Singh, serving in Indian Navy, is hereby submitting that I had purchased a power shoes on 21 Aug 08 costing Rs. 899/- at Bata India Ltd, 31 Sarojini Nagar(SN) Mktvide Cash Memo no. 21-08-08/1/0145 030/22. After one weak use, I found shoes was cracked on top protion. On 28 Sep I informed to 31, SN Mrk for the defect and was told to collect the same on 03 Oct 08. When I reached at Bata shoe shop I have been told that take a any shoe in lieu and pay 50% of the new shoes. I really shocked. Sir, I have the faith with Bata company and continiously using Bata shoe since last 25 yrs . Sir, I regret to inform you that I used the said shoe for one weak and found a small tear on top portion was sighted. Being a Defence Personnel to work day - night and due to service exigencies I could not get the time to go to shop within the stipulated time. Now, I, pray to Bata India Ltd to consider my case sympathically as a special case to change said shoe in liew without any charges.

                              I have purchased one pair of sport shoes from Bata showroom, Faizabad Road, Lucknow on 24th November, 2010.
                              After wearing it for about fifteen days, I found a crack on the left pair of shoe. I have lost my cash memo. When I complained to the showroom manager he requested me to produce the cash memo which I have lost.

                              I have been a regular customer of Bata Shoe Company for last 35 years.

                                I am regular customer of Bata in Kolkata. I buy shoes and sandals for my entire family from Bata only. 4-5 months ago I bought a pair of shoes for myself from Bata showroom at Camamc Street-opposite to Vardan Market. To my surprise I see that my right leg paired shoe has got torn badly. The sole and the upper of the shoe has got torn apart, forstly I thought may be due to pasting fault it has happened but then I analysed that the leather quality was very poor to hold the sole for a longer period of time.
                                I have heard from my frinds that Bata does not hold on to its quality any more and day by day their quality is deteriorataing.
                                Can I get a replacement of my shoes or any explanation for the faulty goods.

                                  I bought a pair of shoe lace for my school going kid from BATA showroom on Shanthi colony road,Anna nagar,chennai.

                                  First time, i mentioned that I need lace for UKG kid and the shoe has "3 pair holes".salesman gave me a pair. After cheking with the shoe at home, i found the laces were too long(size must be 95cm).

                                  Next time i explained that the laces were very lengthy and told the shoe size and pair of holes.This time the salesman gave me a pair of laces, which i reached home and found that this is also longer.(size is 75cm)

                                  The recommended size printed on the pack is 45/60cm for 3 pair holes,which the salesmen didnt agree,saying wat they give will be correct.

                                  During both my visits, the salesmen was not paying proper attention to my request and gave me the wrong pairs of laces, due to which i need to visit the BATA shop unneccesarily wasting my time and money just for a 10-13 rupees shoe lace.Is it really worth?

                                  BATA is a reputed brand, and see,poor salesmanship may damage the long earned reputation.Salesman must attend to the customer.

                                  And after two un-yielding visits and being sold the wrong product,I need to think if i am going to change the lace again in BATA or not.

                                    I purchased a pair of Black Shoe Bata FLEXOLOGY on 12.5.2010 from FD-7Pitampura, Delhi, store, against Cash Memo 12-05 10/1/[protected] dated 12.05.2010 indicating warranty upto 75 days from Date of Purchase. On 12.07.2010, the sole of above shoe have damaged/broken and on 17.07.10, I visited the Bata Store at FD-7, Pitampura, Delhi and met with Store Manager alongwith damaged/broken sole of shoe and cash memo but he shown his inability to do anything as the store is being permanently closed and they are in process of winding up everything. However, he (store manager of Pitampura) told me to visit the Tilak Nagar Store for claim but it was objected when nearest store at AG-38 Shalimar Bagh, Delhi is available, why too far at Tilak Nagar, Delhi. On this, he (store manager of Pitampura) became annoyed and said if you want claim, you have to go only Tilak Nagar, Store. Anyhow, I requested him to atleast make phone call to Tilak Nagar Store Manager to entertain us for claim, which he did resentfully.
                                    on 17.07.10, I visited Tilak Nagar Store with cash memo and damaged/broken sole of shoe, the Store Manager Sh.Chauhan lost his tamper and started shouting and misbehaving in front of every customer at the store. All customers present in store were surprised with the behaviour of Sh.Chauhan, Store Manager and some of them questioned him “how can you say no to claim in such a manner”. I feel very humiliated that I made a crime on purchase of Bata shoe.
                                    The claim Policy which was displayed at store read as” we provide 100% replacement for major manufacturing defects, If the concerned product is brought our store within 60 days from the date of purchase”. The Definition for major manufacturing defects was also given which read as “ (i) Damage/Discoloured upper material (ii) Broken/damage sole or insole.
                                    Sh.Chauhan Store Manager of Tilak Nagar Store has shouted as per Company Policy the claim for only 50% of cost is admissible and on Saturday and Sunday it will not be entertained. He was shown the Company Policy which was displayed at the store itself where 100% claim is admissible on major manufacturing defects of broken/damage of sole and on his other pretext, customers present in store have asked him to produce where it is written that on Saturday & Sunday no claim is entertained. On this, he shouted that I would not entertain this claim as the said purchase was not made from his store and anyone present in store can make a complaint to any authorities of Bata India Ltd.

                                    yes, i agree. Bata stores cheat customer. After purchasing any shoe of bata if any major defects come they always present it as a minor defect and say that it will be repaired and not replaced . I purchased a power shoe from Bata store and with in 1 month my sole was completely deattached from shoe and they told its a minor defect we will not replace it we will repair it by pasting. if some one is buying a branded shoe which is expensive and after 20 days will any one like to wear the same expensive shoe by repairing. whats the difference between branded shoe buying from Bata stores and shoes buying from streets.
                                    Yes i also agree, Bata has got only old name and earning through its that loyalty ...This is the worst brand now, I had my shoes 3 months backs...its sole is broken, It got deshaped . won't be loyal any more in my life

                                        i had purchased all season shoes from bata shop mulund east on 31/5/10 . within one month the shoes got spoilt .i had purchased shoes of m r p rs 699 and taken 20% share holder discount and paid rs 559.20.i went to thr shop and asked for claim the manager told that he will forward the claim . i went to the shop after a week.the manager told me that i can purchase shors of rs559.20 only but i told him that ihad purchased shoes of rs 699 so i will buy shoes of rs699 but he refused

                                        Hello,

                                        I stay at Borivli west, Mumbai and the same thing has happened with us too. We had purchased ladies sandal of MRP 399 and with 30% discount we got it at 279.00. But within a week the sandal got spoilt and when we went there the Manager was very rude with us. He told us to come within 10 to 5 on working dau for such problems and took the sandals confirming to check after 2 days. When we went the Original Shoes were not given to us but informed that you can buy another shoes of Rs.280.00. Thsi is total nonsense because i have purchased a better quality which had a discount and now i have to buy a lower quality. Since not to argue with the rude Manager ( even the other Customers had problem with him ) and considering that even though from last 30 yrs being a customer, this is my last purchase in Bata atleast in Borivli.

                                        Kind suggestion that please have a check on your Retail Showroom Managers as they are assuming as the Owner but not in good faith for the Organisation.
