Hi Sir
I am a dedicated Bata customer. I bought a Bata shoe worth Rs.899 last November dated[protected].I used it for around 1 month and i saw its upper material getting damaged. So i consulted your showroom and got to know that it is an usual case for such type of shoes.I know the warranty is only up to 2 months i got a message that if i have any further complaints get the shoe to showroom later even after the warranty period is over. Now the damage is of such a kind that iam not able to use it. So i humbly request you to grant me replacement for my shoe.

    I wanted to exchange the shows i bought the previous day as I did not notice the north star logo at the time of purchase. The staff at Bata store, jayanagar 3rd block bangalore was rude, had no value for my time and refused to exchange or refund the money. All this, when the shoe had not even been taken out of the box. They asked me to wait for one hour till the store manager came which i did. The store manager was extremely rude and threatened me to go and complain if i wanted to and that he did not care. Now, im stuck with shoes i dont want and certainly do not want to go back to that store again.

      At the time of purchase the person who is working in the store he told us shoes have warranty.
      We have full faith in the name BATA SHOES & the person who is working with Bata he is the part of Bata so we don’t ask him it in writing & when we have purchased shoes we are in so much hurry because we want to go to railway station as on 08/02/11 for (Goa Express)
      On second day i.e.09/02/11 my wife Mrs. Bhavana use the shoes first time and within 1 to 2 hours we came to know that there is fault in steaching of shoes so we keep it separately in the shoe box. We come from Goa on 13/02/2011
      As on 15/02/11 we go to Footworld shop and meet to the person who sold us the shoes we tell him that there is fault in shoes steaching after that salesman takes the shoes and told us no problem you do one thing just wash the shoes properly, make it clean and submit it to us & we will submit it to the company. You will get the replacement or at least repairing.
      We go to shop as on 20/02/11 for submitting the shoes (due to some important work from 16 Feb to 19 Feb I was not able to go to shop). Then the salesman takes shoes from us and gives the acknowledgment on back side of cash memo of shoes (Scan Copy of cash memo Front Side & Back Side Attached).
      After some days when I make inquiry about shoes he told me concern person is not available please come tomorrow then again after some days when I go to store the salesman send us to the other person he may be his manager or senior. That another person told us sir, this canvas shoes have no warranty or guarantee he shown us it is printed on back side of cash memo. I told him salesman committed me the warrantee he tell me it is not possible. Then I ask him can I meet to the owner of store he told me come on tomorrow evening. Then Second day I meet to the owner of store and tell him total story he tell me sir there is no warrantee on canvas shoes you take your shoes back & cancel the acknowledgment.
      Then again I tell him sir we have faith on BATA SHOES so we have purchase it from you at Rs.300. why we are not taking shoes from other when we are getting the same shoes at lower price from local market. After long discussion he told me you keep shoes with me. I will try to give you new peace from company. He tell me Person of BATA Company is come on every Monday so you come on Tuesday
      After that I was gone to shop for at least 6-7 times but each & every time I get the reasons only.
      & height of all things today (31/03/2011) Night when go to shop Mr.Wahidbhai (Owner of Store Approximately) tell me. Your work is done but you will get only 50% of shoe Cost so you have to pay Rs.150 again if you want the same shoes.
      Sir, I am taking shoes from Bata when I was in 1st standard i.e. from last 20-22 years.
      I hope you Bata Company is not supplying faulty peace intentionally but defiantly I got the faulty shoes.
      So we want Replacement/Repairing (But repairing should be in proper form and look of shoes not to be changed) of shoes. For this I will not pay any type of Money.

        This letter is complaining about ILL BEHAVIOR of a sales man of BATA INDIA LTD GARIA MAIN ROAD actually I went to buy a shoe from that very shop ,the said sales man was busy to gossep the other person which was un related to sales and I was bound to handle personally. ultimatemately he was refused me to choose my shoes so that I'de to gate other choice from P-17 KANUNGO PARK KOLKATA MEMO NO NO 25-03-11/1/0021 00077 CASHIER:EDP.

        I wanted to share my experience & writing a mail with deep regret and anguish as I had visited along with my family on dated on 18th Nov-11 @ 9:20 to your BATA showroom located at Bannerghatta Road Bangalore next to Petrol Pump,

        Its was 9:20pm when your shop was above to close & the staff was above to pull the shutter, I was inside my car & asked my wife to request the staff for purchasing a pair of white canvas shoes form my son, My wife entered the shop & ask the cashier.. Hi I need to purchase a pair of white canvas shoes, the cashier & other staff was busy gossiping in Malayalam language, she again said excuse me can you give me a pair of shoes, the staff replayed arrogantly no we are close, madam come tomorrow, No pls help me as tomorrow will be to late as my son has to attend the class @ 8am, No no Pls go away that is not my problem, you should have planed since morning why now at this time, do you think we are dog to slog for 24hrs, My request again don’t worry I know what is want to purchase Pls… Staff laughed at her & asked her to leave, she came out of store, I asked her what happen? did you manage to buy, she replied those 3 boys at the store are bunch of Joker has no respect for a women, I said ok let me request them…

        Me & my wife again entered the store, 1 of them came out of the counter and looked at my wife and told, are you mad to come back again after telling that we are close, I was very irritated & furious that how can a staff talk to my wife in this fashion, I immediately asked the staff how dare you talk to my wife like this, he did not respond & started walking towards store room, I stopped him & asked for the shop manager/owners mb numb, he stood back & came close to my face & said this is company you get lost from hear as I am getting angry now, I stood their & did not no what to do with this arrogant staff who was constantly laughing on us & chatting in their mallu language, but I would understand few of their action that they were abusing me, I finally wanted to give them back & walked up to counter & said this is not done your billing counter is still open & your are fooling us, Both of them came out of the counter & started using vulgar language on me & tried to push me out, my wife was very embarrassed with their language, she finally could not tolerate any further & pulled my hand towards entrance, as we were walking, 1 of them replied ? get out are else you will be physically pushed out of the store, I stood & tried to tell him that you will face the music for the bad behavior, he came all the way & cot my T-Shirt & ask me to go are else I will not be able to control my anger, my mom & son rush from the car & took me out,

        I really don’t know, what type of quality benchmarks are you following during the course of your manufacture. You are literally taking the Customer for a ride without adhering to any quality benchmark/standards. I feel your Bata showroom is just a show piece with high pricing and with no customer service, and is no more better than an ordinary store where there is no quality at all. Please introspect and take necessary action and these things are not repeated. Customers like me will always vouch. Time is not far, if you start facing legal action for your pathetic service and scant, I am so disappointed that I am being wearing bata shoes right from my childhood & now my children’s,

        Trust I will never again step in any of your bata stores in my dreams!!! Pathetic & poor customer service

        I will certainly take this to a next level & will consult my office legal team on this worst horrifying experience of my life

        I don't know whether you will bother about this feedback. But if you have every cared to care for your patrons, I would like to believe that you will respond.

          sir,

          1. I Mr Rati Krushna Samantaray, working in Indian Navy Procured one pair of sandal[protected], Salsa) from a Bata outlet (bata india limited,villaassery house, MG Road, south end,Peramanoor, Kochi-15) on 22.01.2011.

          2. With in the warranty period heel of one of the sandal broken. for the same I went to the store on 16 Feb 11. The store attender told me to get the complain register in the customer care center in Bata Indai Ltd., 418/02 MG Road, Sector-17, Gurgaon,-122002 (Haryana) by phone or email.

          3. 0n 18 Feb 11 I had registered the complain by Phone vide complain no20114840.

          4. After the registration I had Contact many times to the Customer care and they told that the case has been resolved but the Shop from where I had purchased the sandal is not responding at all. Where as I had arranged a conversation between the Custoer care and the Shop attender. But since then the shop has not taken any actionand told that this is not his part of responsibility.

            Respected Sir/Ma’am,

            I had purchased a Ladies’ Chappal from your Hindustan Park, Kolkata Outlet, at the end of January 2011. Unfortunately the shoe of article no.571-5019 has become unusable. The adhesive of the said chappal have removed from the sole and the leather strap has cracked from the sides of the chappal within a month of purchase. I had paid Rs.399.00 for the said item but have unfortunately misplaced the cash memo of the purchase.

            Please look into the matter at the earliest.

            As a permanent Bata product customer and a permanent share holder, I expect your best assistance in the matter.

              Sub: Replacement of Damaged shoe (Sole cut)

              Sir,
              I am one of your customer using Bata foot ware during the last 30years .I had purchased a pair of 10inches Bata confit Shoes worth Rs 1999.00 from Thevara Showroom at Kochi, one and a half month back . Now I found the shoes are in a damaged on sole(Cut) this is my first experience of complaint found in Bata shoes. .But unfortunately cash memo lost from my custody I had used the shoes only for seven days, because I use car for travelling and I have some other Bata shoes and quadies. One of my shoes has 4years old and still it has no complaint .kindly make necessary arrangements for replacing the shoes from the concerned showroom as early as possible

                  This is in reference to my purchase from your Bata showroom at Dwarka, Sector-7, New Delhi (Saini Footwear).
                  I have purchased Hush Puppies Bata shoes from your dealer for Rs. 2500/- on 11th February 2011, following is the Article Code: 8246046 for the shoes and the serial number for the bill is 74458 book no. 745

                  To my surprise, the leather on the right side shoe at the ankle side is torn or dilapidated, and it is unwearable, also shoes stitching has worn out inside and outside of both pair of shoes, left and right.

                  I only wear these shoes for 3-4 days a week to my office only, and don't walk much while wearing these shoes, I also travel in car.. I request you to please provide assistance in exchanging the same or compensating me with my money.

                  Though I brought this from Dwarka, Sector -7, New Delhi, I have recently about a month back shifted to NOIDA, Sector-59; I donot travel to Dwarka at all, would request you to please provide assistance in and around NOIDA only.

                  Bata — teared in first day

                  sir/madam,

                  i recently bought an slipper of your company at (ALTAJ SHOES, NO 14, AMERICAN COLLEGE COMPLEX, GORIPALAYAM, MADURAI-625002, TAMILNADU.) after two days, one of my slipper were teared, when i contacted the above address they didnt respond for it ,they said it was company fault we are not responsible for it. so i kindly request you to take a sudden reaction about the complaint, if this continues you will started to lose trust of the customer on your company because of the shop which i mentioned above.

                      I had purchased shoes from your store at tkiya chand shah, sojati gate, Jodhpur vide bill no SI 03044/080 dated 20-10-10.
                      Surprisingly with in a short period of less than three months the sole of the shoe cracked. In an office job and the shoes are not put to rough use.
                      On contacting the shop the manager refused to replace the shoes and instead want it to be repaired to which I did not agree. Since the shoes were defective having manufacturing defect of having used inferior quality material.
                      A complaint was also lodged with your help line no[protected] having complaint no as 20112109 dated[protected].

                      no response is received as yet.

                      it is there for requested to kindly direct the concerned and replace the shoe built with inferior quality material in line with high standards of Bata

                        I BOUGHT A SANDAL FOR MY SON FROM THE BATA SHOWROOM AT THODUPUZHA ON DECEMBER 2010 . I SPENT Rs.400/- FOR THE SANDAL . BUT THE STRIP OF THE SANDAL WAS BROKEN WITHIN A PERIOD OF TWO WEEKS. I WENT TO THE SHOWROOM FOR REPLACEMENT BUT THEY REFUSED SAYING IT IS DUE TO THE CARELESSNESS FROM THE PART OF MY SON.                           Sir,
                          I purchased one pair of shoes model no 8516943 on dated 17.11.2010 from Bata store no 563/02106 at Vasco da Gama, Goa. After using three to four times I noticed the toe portion of leather of both the pieces have been separated from the soles. I approached the store keeper but he advised me to come when the manager who comes from Mumbai is available. After few visits and phone calls he accepted the damaged pair of shoes on 12.12.2010 and informed me that he will speak to the manager when he visits Goa. After that I visited your store four times and also called over phone few times. But the reply I received was that the Manager has not come so far.
                          I sent two e-mails to Bata Customer service on dated 24th Dec 2010 and 3rd jan 2011. But no reply is received so far.

                          I request you to kindly register my complain on the matter and direct M/s Bata India Ltd to replace the shoes.

                            I buyed a bata shoe pair from athorised Bata showroom at Thane near Thane railway station at Rs 1299. after use of 10 days its mouth stitches get opened. at 12/12/2010 I submit complaint to Bata call center having complaint No[protected] on telephone no [protected]. they promise me to reply with in 7 working days but still there is no reply from there side. so i request you to do some needfull in this matter.

                            sir, i bought my bata shoes in 2009 from aligarh. But the logo embeded on the shoes which represent the company was tear out. So i went to the bata showroom to embeded the logo in farrukhabad(U.P).
                            But they refused to give me another logo and even a customer care no. & even insulted me. Sir when i bought my shoes, the dealer of aligarh told me that the services will provide you any time (& at any bata showroom)with charges or without charges.
                            But this time none of the arguments were followed.

                              i bought a pair of chappal (product code:8749195) from bata stores, near Mulugu road, warangal on 06.11.2010. The soul of chappal detached within 15 days of purchase. i have approached your stores for repair twice and your store people repaired them.

                              Further, even after repairing twice, i am facing the same problem. now i no more want to repair it, instead i want my pair of chappal to be replaced either with a new pair.
                              i hope your will not let down your brand value in customer service.

                                This is really a worst and worst company I have never seen like Bata. And the customer care is very poor. I have bought Hush Puppies chappals costed Rs.1699/-, within no a year, I had to throw them. When I contacted the customer care and complained about chappals, they are talking about shoes. I feel Bata company is having customer managers who have common sense to speak by looking at the mail content. But after looking at the response the company is waste and the employees of Bata in Mumbai are not having any common sense to reply to the mails. Please look at the mail responses below. And when I sent them to look at the mail properly, they didn't even respond to it. When I called customer care, that's really a very poor response to get connected to the customer care even. What a pity that I can show to Bata, a famous company can't able to serve its customers.

                                Greetings from Jayaraju.

                                I bought three pairs of HP chappals (ART No #8746825) on 24-Dec-2009 from BATA store, Cambridge Road, Bangalore. Among them, one pair, due to frequent use, the bottom of the chappals had completely torn off within 6 months.

                                When I visited the BATA store again last month, the shop owners placed the request for replacement of that pair, and the team approved for only 50% replacement.

                                I believe that Hush Puppies is a very good and long lasting brand, hence we are ready to spend Rs.1699. But they have not even lasted for a year.

                                If you agree that this brand from BATA is a very good one to go for, I request the team to provide me 100% replacement.

                                I knew that the guarantee period is only for 45 days. And if you think that you can’t replace my chappals for 100%, I believe I should not trust BATA for something that last for years.

                                Appreciate your value towards this customer and quick and positive action.

                                Dear Sir,

                                These are not the shoes. These are the chappals from Hush Puppies and the cost is Rs.1699. The article number is 8746825.

                                If you have been confused, please rectify the same. And the chappals are bought on 24th Dec 2009 which is not more than a year.

                                Please let me know if you can do something else I will register the case with the consumer complaints where all the consumers login before buying any articles.

                                  I have Purchase your company shoes from Bata showroom the address of your company showroom is Jangali Maharaj Road Deccan Gymkhan Pune on dated 18-Octomber-2010 (Bill No 18-10-10/1/0073 02039)
                                  But within 3 days your company shoes is total cut in the medals and I was go to Bata showroom for solve my problem But your company owner or employee told me, you give your shops to me for 1 and half week so I told him I have no other shoes so you please try to repair this on 1 days or issue me new shoes but he argue with me. I am very disappointed from your company service.
                                  So I would like to request to you please do the needful and solve my problem for your reference this shoes give to me my mother this most important for us.

                                    I have been a BATA customer for decades (since 1960.) It is observed since one year that the inner sole GUMMING are very poor. Recently I had purchased One pairs of Scout shoe for my son on 07.11.2010. It is observed that the inner sole Gumming is not proper at the heel area. This was shown to the sales person who explained that this common for all the shoes. He had shown other pair from his stock which also had similar defect No GUMMING at the heel area. Kindly explain the technical reason for the same.
                                    However I donot agree with the sales person because few months back I had purchsed 2 pair shoe for my self, One pair for my wife & one pair for my son all had similar problem that after using for few days the inner sole got squeeze & wrap up due to poor gumming.
                                    Kindly expalin & justify the reason honestly. How do you compansate the premature failure.

                                    Bata is one brand i trusted however in the past couple of months bata has produced such bad quality products that i will stop buying shoes from there and will ask all my friends and relatives to do the same.They not only have bad quality shoes but are very bad at customer service as well.They have no respect for the customers who has come with a complaint.I don't know what difference my complaint will it make but i literally will curse bata shoes for wasting a lot of my money in past couple of months.
                                    As i already send you my complaint against the bad quality of your shoes that i purchased from Bata India Ltd., Land Mark, Vishal Mega Mart, New Delhi after one month of it's purchasing it has damaged badly. .When I told to the dealer of this showroom he refused for its claim . In one week itself it is torn condition.What's happening at Bata - there was a time, when I used to admire the quality - now its pickpocket ! we spend so much for name but the quality is worst than road side products.

                                      I am Sumil from Cochin(kerala) . I am a regular customer of Bata,Last time i baught a shoe from Bata showroom located in M.G road ernakulam ,now the shoe is having complaint.The pasting has gone off ,like pealing off the upper layer from right shoe while the other is perfect,When i went to your showroom they ask me the bill but i missed the bill even though he recognize me.I even hardly used around 2-3 months Please solve my problem at the earliest .
                                      I am looking for your reply. I am extremely conscious about the quality of a product and customer satisfaction, as we take utmost care to retain our customers in my organization, where i work. I would expect a similar role from Bata India limited too.

                                        While thanking you for the reply, I would like to request you to cleanup your eyes with cold water, because it has already passed 8 days to my complaint.In these eight days i have called atleast 10 times to your customer service nos. printed on the bill but couldnot get connected to the operator,which reflects that these nos. are just a fraud display to disguise with customer.
                                        Please do needfull as i am in need and going to collect these shoes tommorrow, and will takeup the matter to consumer forum.

                                        I 'Ankit Maheshwari' purchased a pair of shoe on dt 25.11.2011 from BATA Store Valley Bazar Meerut. But unfortunately shoe has been broken within 15 days. And bill of shoe is lost from me. And Bata store neither issuing me duplicate bill nor he is replacing my shoes..He is demanding 200 Rs for exchange of shoe. I also complained to BATA customere care on dt 22.12.2011 and my complain no is[protected] but i didnt get any response from there till now. Sir my humble request to you plesae solve my problem as soon as possible.

                                        this is anshul one of the old user of the BATA .,

                                        i bought one pair of shoes of WEINBRANNER. Article no 853.4220. This is a lather shoes i bought on 30th April 2012 for my brother marriage..

                                        But unfortunately i could not used my shoes the hole month of may due to my final exam in my collage.

                                        When i come back in june then i started to use my pair,
                                        after one and half months i found my pair is loosing it's pasting then i called at store and told them my problem. Even when i was purchasing that shoes i told the store boy this pair is loosing pasting, he replied no sir it's branded one this would not happen with this and u have six month warrenty and i have only one pair of your size... Do not worry..

                                        I bought the pair of rs 2500/- bcoz i had the faith over the BATA, i m the one of the good family users of BATA products. This is not the only single shoes i bought from BATA... I am a user of bata from my school time...

                                        When i called at store, store manager said sir come with the pair we will repair the shoes. Then i said this pair must be replace,

                                        then he replied this is a normal with the branded shoes, mostly branded shoes release their pasting, , , i told him if shoes is branded every brand gives warranty for pasting. Either it is Adidas Nike power or WEINBRANNER, and i gave him a perfect Indian shoes company example which is very old & famous for it's quality and best products, that is known as BATA.

                                        but he said no sir company can only do pasting again, Only this comes under warranty, but WEINBRANNER is a good brand and known for their quality services and product as well.

                                        After a long hot talk and with unsatisfied comments i compromise and allow him to repair My pair, On 5th of august i submitted my pair at store and he said we would return your shoes on coming Wednesday.. Then i replied ''very fast'' i think it takes 10 working day or 15 days... He said no sir u will get soon..


                                        When i reached on Wednesday to receive my pair,
                                        again i found a fault that my pair is not repaired by the company, this is repaired by one of the store boy

                                        he pasted my shoes with the feviquick first, and second he did his work very poorly.. He pasted my shoes outer line and upper part as well, it's look like cheap and local shoes now..
                                        I m also attaching the pic that i took at the replacement time on the store. It would be easy for you to understand the problem ...

                                        Then i said now i can take my shoes back, i already compromised one time, but not again

                                        i had not spend my rs 2399/- for this headache, and i was not expecting at least this unsatisfactory service..

                                        So plz look at the matter and safe me from mental harassment.

                                        I can so comprehend what you must be going through...recently my father picked up a pair from BATA first their service was below standard...the staff was more involved in purchasing bangles and chatting with each other...
                                        To top it up the Store Manager was another illiterate pathetic soul, someone who has never been introduced to the term customer service.
                                        I guess I wouldn't blame the Store Manager as much as I would blame the company after all we mirror the values of the company we work for.

                                        The sole of the first shoe came off in less than a month, when we complained he said there is nothing that he can do about it.
                                        The only favour he can do is exchange it for us...which in any case he would have had to as it was well within the period...
                                        The next pair didn't even last a week and when we complained he said give it back if we are able to sell it off to someone you can get your money back.

                                        I would really love to know how low can BATA stoop...

                                        In 1 Month after buying shoes got tear

                                        I have Brought shoes of Bata Hush Puppies shoes from Bata Pashim vihar B-1 Showroom. With in one month it got tear from bottom when i went to replace it then they repaired it but again i'm facing same problem.
