I placed an order thru their online portal (http://www.bata.in) around 20 days back and till date I have no update
My order no is 10060579 . I tried calling thier help line no (Toll Free[protected] but that is almost impossible to reach and when ever we get thru, they say they will inform the concerned dept. Even today ( 21/3/2012) it shows invoice generated in the status but dont know when the material will deliver.

WHile online companies like yebhi.com and lenscart deliver in 2-3 days, this is like 20 days and no sign. I dont even know why such incompetent companies enter into e business when they dont have the potential to meet the demands .


No wonder that BATA is at verge of closure.

    The reason I choosed Bata Product was i was looking for the durability & comfirt.
    & I purchased the Bata Product from the Company outlet (02257),

    Problem Statement

    1. Product Defect
    The Product Get damaged within few days o[censored]se only, cracks have developed in the sole of a shoe.
    Pictures of the same are attached with this email. If you closely Observe the Pictures attached , you will find the developement of the crack is from the top so there is no question of mis handling of the product while use.Its Cause of Poor Quality of Material/Manufacturing.

    2. Store Responce
    I thougt I should approch the same store (Sangli Outlet; where I had Purchased the product ) & ask for aid about the defective piece.
    I informed the store Manager about the defect; but without listening the complaint he was asking us to complaint it to the Custmor Care.
    If this would have been multibrand store i would have no objection about store managers responce, but being company outlethe was asking to register the complaint through net.

    [Behaviour is like after Selling product Bata is not at all bothered about customer & there trarget to just Sell not the Customor Satisfaction]
    [I am Literate @ using Computer & other Services, but what about the custmrs who are not able to use the internate or Custmor Service Numbers Effectively..Store responces like this will not be able to provide value for money what they have bought from bata stores]

    3.Bad Experience of Customer Care Center[protected]

    After getting poor responce from store manager I called up to Custemor Care number[protected]
    There I spent around 35 Mins to register my complaint & getting complaint number. [That Poor Lady("Indu": As told by Executive) was not able to generate Customer Complaint Number as server was under maintainance: So After Wating for Long Time I got my Registered Complaint Number)]

      Dear Sir/ Madam,
      This is to bring to your notice that the Quality of Bata Shoes is deteriorating day by day. This is the third time I have replace d Bata shoes and to my utter surprise the shoes are dislocated. the first footware purshased for 299/- was asked by BATA to replace as the same was worn out within 1 month o[censored]se. I was very happy and satisfied and bought a replacement for 699/-. But to me next surprise , it got dismantled within 1 1/2 months. I was horrified and went to BATA asking for replacement . and to my pleasant surprise the same was replaced and I got new pair for Rs. 499/- . But I got a shock when the THIRD REPLACEMENT broke within 1 month of purchase. Now I dont want to go to BATA as I DO NOT TRUST IT ANY MORE. I dont even want to use any product FREEE of COST.

      Same was the experience with MARIE CLAIRE Bag. I bought it for 1399/- of which chain was broken and there were scratches all over within less than 1 month o[censored]se. To my surprise even the bag was replaced and I bought a new one for Rs. 799/- . Now after 2 months o[censored]se The new bag , looks as if I have being using it for more than a year.

      I am really TIRED of BATA products and would recommend ALL to Keep away from the CHEAP QUALITY PRODUCTS OF BATA. and STOP WASTING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON BATA PRODUCTS.

      I WANT SOME BODY TO PLEASE HELP ME.

      Same goes with me dude. I bought a Formal shoes from BATA. I paid Rs.750 for that. And just after 3 months the damaged started. I got it repaired 2 times, But every time it was repaired, It get back to same condition in just 1 day after repair. And now I am not able wear them.

      I complained about quality to BATA but they replied me like this damage is not due to quality but due to some incidental damage. They didn't even had look at my shoes once. That's what BATA is. Holly . Worst quality.

        I purchased a pair of shoes from Bata show room situated at City Centre, Salt Lake City in the month of November 2011. I noticed that the sole separation in thia month. Though I am staying at MP therefore I sent the shoes with cash meno through my fried today and they denied to accept the shoes for repairing. They said that the shoes can not be accepted as it is already two months over. It means warranty period is for two months. The shoes was cost Rs.1195.00. They did not mentioned the warranty period in the cash memo. If this type of service we are getting from a remound co. then what we expect form others, Now I don't have any faith on Bata.

        Hi,

        I had purchase a Bata Formal Shoes just before the rain for Rs 1499. Within 3 months the sole of the shoes split off form the base of the soes. The shoe was purchased from Andheri West S.V.Road (opp to shoppers stop) outlet. When I went there to show the sole the outlet manager was more than willing to give the soes for sole replacement and he did that. But now i doub the quality of shoes Bata is manufacturing because after the replacement of the sole for the shoes the sole has come out in 10 days time. Is this the way the customers are treated in India. Our consumer court is not so strong because for this we can sue them for a huge sum.

        Hope this is heard and something is done against it.

        I have purchased a party shoe ( product code : 851 6969 ) from Bata Shoe Store located at Faridabad, a priced Rs 1099.95( one thousand ninety nine and ninty five paise only ) on dated 25 march 2011 and come to Saudi Arebia on dated 21 april 2011 for job and start using it since 21 april till now. within 10 days I found the shoe defective we are not able to wear this shoes and purchase new shoe again
        Now I am in saudi arabia what can I do. we can not come to India for replacing shoe
        But this is not way to produce bad quality product. everybody trust your product and I also trusted your product

        I am a 70 year old retired Army Officer. About a year & a half back I bought a pair of black leather Hush Puppy sandals from a mall in Banglore. These sandals have been sparingly used, mostly indoors.Never have they been rough used. The sole & the top look almost new. However, the ridge through which the sole is stiched to the uppers has broken & the sole has separated. It is obviously a manufacturing defect & no way can it be repaired. I wrote to Hush Puppies about this & they have advised me to contact Bata India.I would request you to take action as your reputed Company sees appropriate.

        I have purchased one pair of shoes name: Boardwalk, model no. F[protected], invoice no. 21 -07 -14/1/0095 from BATA Shop at Grand Hotel Arcade, Kolkata, 15/1 J.N.         i purchased a pair of shoes from bata store situated in pavilion mall ludhiana. the sole of the shoes got cracked with in 15 days of purchase. company refused to change the same. company gives two month warranty of crack sole of shoes as mention in the bill.
        I had purchased a pair of shoes " Hush Puppies" from Bata store in DLF Place Mall at Saket, New Delhi in December 2014. Just after two months, the laces gave away then I purchased another laces . In April, sole of one of the shoe cracked, I had to spent another 100 bucks for repair. Now, the street shoemaker has told me that the cracked sole is beyond repair.

        I was so sure about the quality of Bata shoe that I didn't bothered to retain the Cash Memo.But by linking my mobile no. [protected] with your store at address mentioned above, you may easily verify the facts.

        Of course, I am bothered about loss of .approx. Rs.3300/- spent on purchase of defective shoes. But the thing which is really causing me pain is that one can not rely upon such a great brand name "BATA" anymore.

        I purchased sports shoes from Bata showroom at Bata Shoe Store, Phoenix mall Bareilly on 24 Dec 14. The lace holes in the shoes are elongated and torn resulting in improper lacing. It's been barely 5 months since purchase. I registered the complaint with Bata on 13 May 15 vide Query Reference number: 4024771 and 403795. Further, the details asked from Bata Customer Care were:
        1. The Article Number[protected]
        2. Item not shown to any Bata store
        3. Date of Purchase- 24 Dec 2014 18:28:37 Hrs
        4. Credit/debit card statement indicating the Date of purchase- The Debit Card linked to Account XXXXXXXX0779 was used for transaction of INR 1, 800.00 Info.VPS*BATA INDIA on[protected]:28:37. The transaction number is VPS/BATA INDIA /[protected]/0 from ICICI bank debit card. The copy of bank statement reflecting purchase from Bata is attached.
        5. Full address / contact no. of the store from where the purchase was made.- Bata ShoeStore, Phoenix Mall, Pilibhit Bypass, Ujjwal Phase - 1, Mahanagar Colony, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh 243006.
        Till date no suitable reply has been sought from Bata end.

          Hi,

          I bought a pair of shoes(5516875 Cheryl) from Bata Store (Bata India Ltd, 4D Cannaught Place, New Delhi) on 4 Feb 2012. I wore it once and both the heels came off. I filed a complaint on 10th Feb 2012. I was asked to buy a replacement pair of shoes but the store does not have the sizes available for the shoes I liked.

          Either I should be free to buy shoes from other Bata Stores or I should be refunded the cost of the defected shoes.

          I have both the cash memo and the complaint slip with me.
          I have also written to their customer care but there has been no response till now !!

            I had ordered Ladies hand bag , order no order no[protected] but on Feb13th i got men's shoes wrongly delivered to my place , lodged complaint on 14th Feb (complaint no- [protected] ) since then i must have called 10 times to BATA customer care and put 5 mails but there is no response from them, all that they tell is i have to wait nor even they are refunding my money

            Plz help ..my money is stuck with them nor i m getting my product

              Hi, I have bought a Bata Shoe some 5 months back in chennai-2 mount road Bata near Shanthi Cinema Theater. The seller cheated me giving a artificial rexine kind of shoe as leather shoe for Rs.1200/- .In just 5 months without much usage the top part of the shoe is peeling off and breaking in to pieces. The bottom sole came out in both shoes. i dont think anyone out there in Bata management would justify their product worth Rs.1200/- completely die in just 5 months with even the price sticker still in the same place. am very upset on the quality of the product.
              Request them to replace the shoe with a new one else am planning to go to the consumer court on their way of cheating with a unworthy product using deceiving tactics.

                In the last week of October, I had placed an Order from a BATA store in Dombivali East and made the payment of Rs 550/- through SBI Debit Card.
                The order was cancelled due to non availability of the product and a complaint number was given to me
                Since then I have been calling the Gurgaon, Delhi Customer Care number[protected] daily and asking them about the status
                They keep on saying they'l return the money soon
                Till now I have not received any update from them

                  I bought new shoes from lajpat nagar and found out after wearing for half day that blue gel-fit embedded in the shoe is causing severe damage to my foot as it became all swollen up and red from my sole area today me and my wife went back to store asking for exchange the store in charge Vijay first neglected us and answered abruptly that he cannot change it as per company policy as i have already tried the shoes and is not his problem and there is a helpline number if i have any complaints upon calling helpline the guy on the other end was not anwering saying i am inaudible i tried calling from my wife phone he kept on saying hello-hello and hung up the phone after that I informed Mr.Vijay and he wrote my name without contact details saying call customer care if they call we will tell them you came.

                    I have bought a footwear of Bata India from Karol Bagh outlet but the base of its heel broke after 1 week. I went back to the store and got it repaired. Then again after 2 weeks, the same thing happened again. I get it repaired again from the same store. And I bought the footwear for Rs.1099. The prices are so high of Bata and by this consumers expect the quality to be also very good. I will never purchase anything from Bata now after such a bad experience. Its not worth spending this much money. I want the footwear to be exchanged or my money refund.

                      I bought a pair of expensive heels from bata less than a week ago. Wore them for less than two hours and they ripped open from both the sides. This is the quality of shoes you get for 1300 Rs that last you less than an hour. the icing on the cake however is an uneducated ill behaved store manager on duty in sector 18 Noida. When i went back to him within a week to complain about the quality, I was asked to shut up and sit down by this Manager. He also threatened me not to raise my voice so that the other customers should not be aware about the kind of products Bata sells. I was abused, made to wait for close to an hour and did not receive a refund/ exchange. Way to go Bata!

                        Purchased a pair of Weinbrenner shoes from a Bata Store in Phoenix Market City last week. The same shoe was available at Rs. 300/- i.e. 15% lower on the Bata website. While there a nominal difference in product codes the article is exactly the same and the difference in the codes is a mere hogwash. This is nothing but cheating a consumer since the article should not be costlier in a company store. It only undermines the credibility in the brand.

                        This is Gurunath A. I am from Pune. I had bought BATA WEINBRENNER shoes back in Sept 2012. I thought that the shoes will atleast go for 1+ year. I even checked for the WEINBRENNER brand before buying these. WEINBRENNER is well known US brand and I was expecting same quality in India. But, my shoe sole broke in first few months. When I showed it to the BATA shop (Baner, Pune) the person
                        replaced the new shoes and told me that I could get these because it was in first 2 months of the warranty. But, also told me that, I can not get replacement if the new shoe sole breaks.

                        But, the new shoes which he gave me in Feb 2012, even those shoes sole broke in 2-3 months and now I am very disappointed. The minimum expectation from a shoe manufacturer to make the shoe sole robust. Wear and Tear against the actual sole breakage is a horrible thing. Now, when I checked online only this specific model is not available on BATA's site.

                        There must have been the case where BATA is receving so many complaints about these shoe quality that they have removed the product fromt he market as well.

                          I have made the following Complaint:-

                          This is to inform you that I have purchased one pair of shoes from
                          Bata Retail outlet in Jayanagar, Bangalore. The Item code of the same
                          was 8616257 and the total worth of shoes I paid were 2699/- against
                          Cash memo no[protected]/0128. I would like to complain that the sole
                          of the said shoe gets damaged within six months of purchase, I went to
                          the nearest Bata outlet located in Thippsandra Bangalore, they told me
                          that you have to approach the outlet from where I bought the shoes.
                          When I approached the outlet in Jayanagar, from where I bought the
                          shoes, they told me that we only provide the repairs/replacement for
                          any defect arises only with in sixty days of purchase.

                          I am completely surprised with the non-cooperative approach of the
                          staff of your retail outlets, thereafter I approached customer care
                          and explained the problem they advised me to send the mail along with
                          the product code to this ID. I would request you to do the needful for
                          replacement of the said pair of shoes as the shoes gets damaged within
                          6 months of purchase, which I was not expecting from the Bata premium
                          range product, that too when I brought the same from fresh stock and
                          not in sale.

                          Please note that I am a regular customer of Bata products and I never
                          had such kind of with any of the product previously. I hope I will get
                          appropriate resolution of the problem from your side.

                          I got the stupid response:-

                          Greetings for the day. Thank you for being a valued customer of Bata. We acknowledge your feedback provided through appended email. We would like to confirm you that the concern raised by you is due to incidental factors and not due to any quality or manufacturing defect.However, we would like to inform you that we provide 100% replacement for major manufacturing defects, if the concerned product is brought to our store within 60 days from the date of purchase.

                          Since the purchase was made more than 8 months back, we regret that we would not be able to provide replacement or repair option.
                          This Bata is the brand which is robbing consumers in India. It is better to go with other brands which will gives you full satisfaction.

                            It is very disappointing that I have to write this email regarding a complaint that I have to bring to your notice in your products. As a big brand, I expect some durability and quality from Bata footwears but my shoes got worn out in the first two months o[censored]sage.

                            I purchased two pairs of shoes on 22nd November 2011 from the CP outlet - Bata India Ltd - 16, Regail Building, Connaugt Place, New - Delhi. Bill information for same is CST NO LC/042/[protected]/1051 and TIN NO [protected]. Cash Memo # 22-11-11/1/0072 03664. One of the pairs of shoes have got torn and when I went to the outlet on 10th February 2012 to return the pair and get it exchanged for a new one, I was told that it past 60 days that the policy states. I am surprised to hear that how come a big brand like Bata, cannot exchange its substandard products when I reported the defect only 10 days past the 60 days policy.

                            I have already sent three emails since 12th Feb but i have not received a single response. Even I went to the outlet from where I have purchased the shoes but they are not ready to replace the shoes.

                              On 11th Dec 2011, I have purchased one shoe (Article code: 8516952, Size -9 ) from Bata Shoe Store located at Sakchi, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Shop No -00248 priced Rs 749/-( Seven Hundred Forty Nine Rupees only ). On 2nd February 2012, I found that the shoe get defective ( The lather cuts very badly near the stitching ) hence I reported the matter to the shop manager on 6th February 2012 with the cash memo. He has received the defective shoes on that day and told me to come on 10th February 2012.

                              On 10th Feb 2012 I have visited to the shop but the Store Manager told me to come on 11th February 2012 within 5PM.
                              On 11th February 2012 the store manager said me that only 75% of the shoes value will be refund on the purchase another new shoes. Then I asked the store manager that why you have given me 75% instead of 100% as mention in the cash memo. He replied me that “the warranty period going to be lapsed means it’s around 57 days gone from the date of purchase”. Then I have asked again that if you have such type of policies then show me. Then he replied me rudely that replacement will applicable with this condition only. Then I told him that shall I talk with customer care. He replied me that” whatever the customer care given him advise that will be applicable and I also agreed. Then I called to the customer care in front of him and the call centre representative informed that 100% replacement will be given. After that the store manager advised me to come through customer care only. Now my defective shoes are at the store.I have send the mail regarding this but the customer care not responding to my mail.

                              Under these circumstances I draw your kind attention regarding the poor quality of your workmanship and request for 100% replacement.
                              I hope a positive reply from your end so that in future we can continue our trust on this brand

                              Bata — about the quality of product

                              my name is kulwant singh and on 04/09/10 i buyed one pair of shoes from bata showroom and i am not satisfied with the quality of shoes because the sole of left shoe is not good and by that my leg is paining.

                              Bata — poor quality product

                              I have purchased a pear of Shoes from BATA stores at Gokhale Road, Naupada, Thane as on 09.10.2010. Amounting to Rs. 1300/-. The Shoes was got torned and become usless to wear within just 2-3 weeks of its purchase. I personaly complainted to the shopkeeper about the same, but he did not satisfy my complaints.

                                Please be informed that I had purchased a shoe from Bata's Authorized Showroom and the shoe cracked within 60 days o[censored]sage. When I approached the showroom they asked me to register my complaint online which I did in January 2012. Since then Its almost been a month .                                   I bought shoe on 27th Oct 2011 for Rs.1499 and after 2 months o[censored]se it is torned off. The shoe do not have any harsh usage as I am driving in the car to & fro and my job is just seat in the office and work against laptop.

                                  I approached the service care on the phone and their response was very indifferent. He was not proper to the mark in replying my queries. Then I approeached the show room and there also my complaint was not registered.

                                  My simple question is that why in India people are being fooled by offering bad poor quality at high price. The shoe which I bought is shown to the peer show room and as per his opinion the sole is made of cheap quality of Rs. 200 apprx. If you count the labour and other overhead cost it should have not more than Rs. 500 per shoe. The BATA has gained profit of 50% by selling the inferior shoes and claiming that it is an international Brand!!

                                  I have seen many and many complaints like this on the internet specially for BATA and I am indeed concerned that there is no taker of complaints so far that is why this company is flourishing.

                                  Had this clain is registered in USA I m sure it might have costed million dollars every month!!!

                                  My contention is that I must get new pair of good quality shoe and secondly there should be Govt audit also for manufactring of shoe in their factory.


                                  Why should we suffer after paying full price of the product.

                                    It is only 3 months from my purchase of Bata shoes from Bata showroom located opposite of Mulund West Railway Station. The shoes have got damaged. Its sole torn out within 3 months of its purchase. when contacted the shop manager told me that he will replace the shoes if returned within 2 months of purchase. I even tried to contact the customer care of Bata India. But received busy tone (they must be busy i suppose attending the complaints of faulty products sold to customers who purchase the goods seeing the label of Bata. I want a 100% return of my money or a new pair. the cost of the shoes was Rs.750.

                                      I 'Ankit Maheshwari' purchased a pair of shoe on dt 25.11.2011 from BATA Store Meerut. But unfortunately shoe has been broken within 15 days. And bill of shoe is lost from me. And Bata store neither issuing me duplicate bill nor he is replacing my shoes..He is demanding 200 Rs for exchange of shoe. I also complained to BATA customere care on dt 22.12.2011 and my complain no is[protected] but i didnt get any response from there till now. Sir my humble request to you plesae solve my problem as soon as possible.

                                        I AM A REGULAR USER OF BATA/HUSH PUPPIES SHOES. MY HUSH PUPPIES SHOES (BEARING NO[protected]Jungle) size 6 ARE 6 mths OLD. BOTH SHOES ARE COMPLETELY FINE FROM TOP BUT SOLES OF BOTH SHOES HAVE BEEN CRACKED/DAMAGED COMPLETELY .I PERSONALLY CONTACTED BATA LALGATE-SURAT STORE ON 26TH OCT 2011,I SHOWED THE SHOES AT THE OUTLET,THE MANAGER TOLD ME IF YOU HAVE BILL WE CAN GIVE YOU A WARRANTY FOR 6MTHS.,NEXT DAY,WHEN I WENT WITH THE BILL THE MANAGER TOLD ME THAT WE CAN GIVE YOU WARRANTY FOR ONLY 60 DAYS,HOWEVER I WILL I'LL HAVE A WORD WITH MY AREA MANAGER & WILL LET YOU KNOW,BUT FOR 1 MONTH.THERE WAS NO RESPONSE FROM HIM. ON 28TH NOV 2011 WHEN I VISITED THE OUTLET THE MANAGER GAVE ME AN IRRESPONSIBLE ANSWER SAYING "WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT YOUR SHOES".AS YOUR WARRANTY PERIOD IS OVER.

                                        I BELIEVE SUCH EXPLANATION IS NOT VALID WHEN WE ARE PAYING RS.2500/- FOR A PAIR OF SHOES. EVEN CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVE WAS NOT WILLING TO REGISTER MY COMPLAINT NOR I HAVE RECEIVED A MAIL REPLY FROM BATA CUSTOMER SERVICE.
