I bought a pair of expensive heels from bata less than a week ago. Wore them for less than two hours and they ripped open from both the sides. This is the quality of shoes you get for 1300 Rs that last you less than an hour. the icing on the cake however is an uneducated ill behaved store manager on duty in sector 18 Noida. When i went back to him within a week to complain about the quality, I was asked to shut up and sit down by this Manager. He also threatened me not to raise my voice so that the other customers should not be aware about the kind of products Bata sells. I was abused, made to wait for close to an hour and did not receive a refund/ exchange. Way to go Bata!

    Purchased a pair of Weinbrenner shoes from a Bata Store in Phoenix Market City last week. The same shoe was available at Rs. 300/- i.e. 15% lower on the Bata website. While there a nominal difference in product codes the article is exactly the same and the difference in the codes is a mere hogwash. This is nothing but cheating a consumer since the article should not be costlier in a company store. It only undermines the credibility in the brand.

    This is Gurunath A. I am from Pune. I had bought BATA WEINBRENNER shoes back in Sept 2012. I thought that the shoes will atleast go for 1+ year. I even checked for the WEINBRENNER brand before buying these. WEINBRENNER is well known US brand and I was expecting same quality in India. But, my shoe sole broke in first few months. When I showed it to the BATA shop (Baner, Pune) the person
    replaced the new shoes and told me that I could get these because it was in first 2 months of the warranty. But, also told me that, I can not get replacement if the new shoe sole breaks.

    But, the new shoes which he gave me in Feb 2012, even those shoes sole broke in 2-3 months and now I am very disappointed. The minimum expectation from a shoe manufacturer to make the shoe sole robust. Wear and Tear against the actual sole breakage is a horrible thing. Now, when I checked online only this specific model is not available on BATA's site.

    There must have been the case where BATA is receving so many complaints about these shoe quality that they have removed the product fromt he market as well.

      I have made the following Complaint:-

      This is to inform you that I have purchased one pair of shoes from
      Bata Retail outlet in Jayanagar, Bangalore. The Item code of the same
      was 8616257 and the total worth of shoes I paid were 2699/- against
      Cash memo no[protected]/0128. I would like to complain that the sole
      of the said shoe gets damaged within six months of purchase, I went to
      the nearest Bata outlet located in Thippsandra Bangalore, they told me
      that you have to approach the outlet from where I bought the shoes.
      When I approached the outlet in Jayanagar, from where I bought the
      shoes, they told me that we only provide the repairs/replacement for
      any defect arises only with in sixty days of purchase.

      I am completely surprised with the non-cooperative approach of the
      staff of your retail outlets, thereafter I approached customer care
      and explained the problem they advised me to send the mail along with
      the product code to this ID. I would request you to do the needful for
      replacement of the said pair of shoes as the shoes gets damaged within
      6 months of purchase, which I was not expecting from the Bata premium
      range product, that too when I brought the same from fresh stock and
      not in sale.

      Please note that I am a regular customer of Bata products and I never
      had such kind of with any of the product previously. I hope I will get
      appropriate resolution of the problem from your side.

      I got the stupid response:-

      Greetings for the day. Thank you for being a valued customer of Bata. We acknowledge your feedback provided through appended email. We would like to confirm you that the concern raised by you is due to incidental factors and not due to any quality or manufacturing defect.However, we would like to inform you that we provide 100% replacement for major manufacturing defects, if the concerned product is brought to our store within 60 days from the date of purchase.

      Since the purchase was made more than 8 months back, we regret that we would not be able to provide replacement or repair option.
      This Bata is the brand which is robbing consumers in India. It is better to go with other brands which will gives you full satisfaction.

        Hello,

        It is very disappointing that I have to write this email regarding a complaint that I have to bring to your notice in your products. As a big brand, I expect some durability and quality from Bata footwears but my shoes got worn out in the first two months o[censored]sage.

        I purchased two pairs of shoes on 22nd November 2011 from the CP outlet - Bata India Ltd - 16, Regail Building, Connaugt Place, New - Delhi. Bill information for same is CST NO LC/042/[protected]/1051 and TIN NO [protected]. Cash Memo # 22-11-11/1/0072 03664. One of the pairs of shoes have got torn and when I went to the outlet on 10th February 2012 to return the pair and get it exchanged for a new one, I was told that it past 60 days that the policy states. I am surprised to hear that how come a big brand like Bata, cannot exchange its substandard products when I reported the defect only 10 days past the 60 days policy.

        I have already sent three emails since 12th Feb but i have not received a single response. Even I went to the outlet from where I have purchased the shoes but they are not ready to replace the shoes.

          On 11th Dec 2011, I have purchased one shoe (Article code: 8516952, Size -9 ) from Bata Shoe Store located at Sakchi, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Shop No -00248 priced Rs 749/-( Seven Hundred Forty Nine Rupees only ). On 2nd February 2012, I found that the shoe get defective ( The lather cuts very badly near the stitching ) hence I reported the matter to the shop manager on 6th February 2012 with the cash memo. He has received the defective shoes on that day and told me to come on 10th February 2012.

          On 10th Feb 2012 I have visited to the shop but the Store Manager told me to come on 11th February 2012 within 5PM.
          On 11th February 2012 the store manager said me that only 75% of the shoes value will be refund on the purchase another new shoes. Then I asked the store manager that why you have given me 75% instead of 100% as mention in the cash memo. He replied me that “the warranty period going to be lapsed means it’s around 57 days gone from the date of purchase”. Then I have asked again that if you have such type of policies then show me. Then he replied me rudely that replacement will applicable with this condition only. Then I told him that shall I talk with customer care. He replied me that” whatever the customer care given him advise that will be applicable and I also agreed. Then I called to the customer care in front of him and the call centre representative informed that 100% replacement will be given. After that the store manager advised me to come through customer care only. Now my defective shoes are at the store.I have send the mail regarding this but the customer care not responding to my mail.

          Under these circumstances I draw your kind attention regarding the poor quality of your workmanship and request for 100% replacement.
          I hope a positive reply from your end so that in future we can continue our trust on this brand

          Bata — about the quality of product

          my name is kulwant singh and on 04/09/10 i buyed one pair of shoes from bata showroom and i am not satisfied with the quality of shoes because the sole of left shoe is not good and by that my leg is paining.

          Bata — poor quality product

          I have purchased a pear of Shoes from BATA stores at Gokhale Road, Naupada, Thane as on 09.10.2010. Amounting to Rs. 1300/-. The Shoes was got torned and become usless to wear within just 2-3 weeks of its purchase. I personaly complainted to the shopkeeper about the same, but he did not satisfy my complaints.

            Please be informed that I had purchased a shoe from Bata's Authorized Showroom and the shoe cracked within 60 days o[censored]sage. When I approached the showroom they asked me to register my complaint online which I did in January 2012. Since then Its almost been a month . I have also communicated via an email but to that also there hasn't been any reply. Please go through the following details :

              I bought shoe on 27th Oct 2011 for Rs.1499 and after 2 months o[censored]se it is torned off. The shoe do not have any harsh usage as I am driving in the car to & fro and my job is just seat in the office and work against laptop.

              I approached the service care on the phone and their response was very indifferent. He was not proper to the mark in replying my queries. Then I approeached the show room and there also my complaint was not registered.

              My simple question is that why in India people are being fooled by offering bad poor quality at high price. The shoe which I bought is shown to the peer show room and as per his opinion the sole is made of cheap quality of Rs. 200 apprx. If you count the labour and other overhead cost it should have not more than Rs. 500 per shoe. The BATA has gained profit of 50% by selling the inferior shoes and claiming that it is an international Brand!!

              I have seen many and many complaints like this on the internet specially for BATA and I am indeed concerned that there is no taker of complaints so far that is why this company is flourishing.

              Had this clain is registered in USA I m sure it might have costed million dollars every month!!!

              My contention is that I must get new pair of good quality shoe and secondly there should be Govt audit also for manufactring of shoe in their factory.


              Why should we suffer after paying full price of the product.

                It is only 3 months from my purchase of Bata shoes from Bata showroom located opposite of Mulund West Railway Station. The shoes have got damaged. Its sole torn out within 3 months of its purchase. when contacted the shop manager told me that he will replace the shoes if returned within 2 months of purchase. I even tried to contact the customer care of Bata India. But received busy tone (they must be busy i suppose attending the complaints of faulty products sold to customers who purchase the goods seeing the label of Bata. I want a 100% return of my money or a new pair. the cost of the shoes was Rs.750.

                  I 'Ankit Maheshwari' purchased a pair of shoe on dt 25.11.2011 from BATA Store Meerut. But unfortunately shoe has been broken within 15 days. And bill of shoe is lost from me. And Bata store neither issuing me duplicate bill nor he is replacing my shoes..He is demanding 200 Rs for exchange of shoe. I also complained to BATA customere care on dt 22.12.2011 and my complain no is[protected] but i didnt get any response from there till now. Sir my humble request to you plesae solve my problem as soon as possible.

BOTH SHOES ARE COMPLETELY FINE FROM TOP BUT SOLES OF BOTH SHOES HAVE BEEN CRACKED/DAMAGED COMPLETELY .I PERSONALLY CONTACTED BATA LALGATE-SURAT STORE ON 26TH OCT 2011,I SHOWED THE SHOES AT THE OUTLET,THE MANAGER TOLD ME IF YOU HAVE BILL WE CAN GIVE YOU A WARRANTY FOR 6MTHS.,NEXT DAY,WHEN I WENT WITH THE BILL THE MANAGER TOLD ME THAT WE CAN GIVE YOU WARRANTY FOR ONLY 60 DAYS,HOWEVER I WILL I'LL HAVE A WORD WITH MY AREA MANAGER & WILL LET YOU KNOW,BUT FOR 1 MONTH.THERE WAS NO RESPONSE FROM HIM. ON 28TH NOV 2011 WHEN I VISITED THE OUTLET THE MANAGER GAVE ME AN IRRESPONSIBLE ANSWER SAYING "WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT YOUR SHOES".AS YOUR WARRANTY PERIOD IS OVER.

                    I BELIEVE SUCH EXPLANATION IS NOT VALID WHEN WE ARE PAYING RS.2500/- FOR A PAIR OF SHOES. EVEN CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVE WAS NOT WILLING TO REGISTER MY COMPLAINT NOR I HAVE RECEIVED A MAIL REPLY FROM BATA CUSTOMER SERVICE.

                      I have purchased Bata leather Shoes from MG Road, Pune on 3rd Nov 2011 for Rs 2400.
                      In two weeks only the sole is damaged with a little usage. Bata is charging very high for junk quality.

                      BATA shoes for heavy price.... Think again!!!

                      Bata — The quality of packaging

                      The quality of packaging offered was aweful !!! The paper bag in which the sandals were kept was of such a poor quality that it was torn as soon as we left the shop. The sandals were kept in a paper bag. And this resulted in one of the sandals being lost.And even the staff were not interested in hearing our grievances.They did'nt pay any attention to our problem.They even refused to admit their fault.They dont give us the boxes in which the sandals are supposed to be sold because of it's scrap value.
                      Solution
                      Instead of a paper bag ,a thin jute bag or cloth bag should be provided and attendants should be more interested in satisfying their customers rather than roaming around in the shop.It resulted in a loss to us.Without satisfying your customers how can you even hope to progress.Customer is the king.You have to satisfy your customer at any cost.
                      This incident happened at the Bata outlet at the Sarojini Nagar market,New Delhi.Please do pay attention to this instead of rubbishing these valuable suggestions if you want to progress.
                      A unhappy customer and do please respond.

                      BATA/ SPORTS SHOE — POOR QUALITY

                      I purchased Shoes Article No 8392659 from BATA INDIA LIMITED, BATA SHOE STORE, 84/1 MOTATTI MEADOMS. OLD MADRAS ROAD, KR PURAM, BANGALORE

                      Bill No 08-12-10/1/0019 01025 dt 8/12/10.

                      After using 24 hrs the starps of shoes had torned. on approch of shop the are giving one week for replacement/ repair. As per terms and conditions on the bill the materials will be exchaned within 15 days from the date of purchase. I could not understand that reponse from a reputed company out let like BATA.

                      It is intimating that the shoes had used only one day and elastic straps of the shoe had torned. As per bill terms and conditions stating that any replacements will be entertained with in 15 days. On approch of the shop they had given one week time for replacemnet and already 4 days had been completed. please ensure that the shoe tobe replaced with new one.

                      Secondly the quality of Bata shoes is detoriating because already I had experienced in Delhi. This is Second time. This type complaints is facing the consumers from a reputed company like Bata it is unacceeptable.

                      On 29th Oct’11, I had ordered a Bata Sports Shoe online on www.bata.in who’s order id is 10030250.

                      Unfortunately, when I received the order today (after 15 days) and checked the packet, to my surprise the item was a used one and in very bad condition. I am really disappointed with this action from a renowned company like Bata who is a leading footwear brand in India.

                      I am from a Procurement Team and has handled numerous purchase orders, but experiencing this kind of behavior for the first time.

                      Have already informed the customer care about the same and would appreciate a quick turn around on this and would want an instant exchange of the product.

                        i bought bata shoes on 15/10/11 price 1799/-, but its stitches cuts automaticaly after 15 days, i gave it back to bata showroom on 10/12/11, but they didnt stitch it as original, they stitch it like roadside worker, when i ask them that i want original like stitches they reply me very rashly and told me that we cannot stitch it like before, when i ask for replacement they told me that do whatever u want we dont care, now i leave that shoes in the showroom, but they thorwn this shoes in front of me and told me that do whatever we dont care about anyone,
                        please tell me what should i do for raplacement of my shoes?

                              I had bought this brown shoes a earlier this year back from koramangala bata shop . They told me that this is good leather shoes which is very soft and nice to use. To my surprise the shoe started peeling off. I took it to the shop and they say the warranty is only for two months and they also acknowledge that this not leather shoes but mix of rexene. All these were shocking to me because this in my view is a manufacturing defect.so the store manager asked me to write to customer service. I have been interacting with the customer service of bata for over two months now. Have sent them photo's and they asked me to visit a couple of stores and show the shoes and then finally i receive a mail stating that their warranty is only for 2 months and they cannot do anything about it.

                              I had highlighted to the Customer Service that it is more than 2 months in my first mail itself. Not sure why they have to interact with me for 2 months and comeback and tell me that it is out of warranty. In my view this is a manufacturing defect and the shoe should be replaced even if i had gone back only after 2 months ( pls see the photos attached). Hope this forum can help me resolve this.

                                With due respect it is submitted that I have purchased a Sleeper Article No.5718089 Priyank of amount Rs.299 on 19.8.2011 from your Bata Shoe Store, Patankar Bazar, Gwalior.On wearing it on second time only, the buckle of the sleeper is broken on 7.10.2011 in short period.Hence I visited to the Bata Showroom for complaint, but the staff said come after two weeks.When I visited after two weeks the manager/staff said that you have came so late and warranty period has been over and misbehaved with me which is unfair trade practice.I have purchased this sleeper looking at the quality,reliability and good service of Bata Company but it was only my myth.

                                It is requested that take appropriate action as early as possible against the above complain and kindly replace my sleeper or refund money.Otherwise I shall be compelled to take legal action before Hon'ble Consumer Forum,Gwalior.

                                Bata — replacement of buckle

                                I have purchased bata comfortina but unfortunately I was more found it very uncomfortable as the buckles of my sandles were broken with in 10 days of its purchase. I went to its showroom in Centre Point, Aligarh and I was asured by the shopkeeper that it will be returned by 5 th of April. My shoes has not been rrepaired till date and I am facing wastage of time and money. The money spent by me to pick up my sandles were more than the cost of its purchase. Despite an assurance made by the company that your money will be returned if any complian occurs within 15 days of its purchase that too 100% my inconvinece still remains the same. Kindly look into the matter.

                                  I wanted to share my experience & writing a mail with deep regret and anguish as I had visited along with my family on dated on 18th Nov-11 @ 9:20 to your BATA showroom located at Bannerghatta Road Bangalore next to Petrol Pump,



                                  Its was 9:20pm when your shop was above to close & the staff was above to pull the shutter, I was inside my car & asked my wife to request the staff for purchasing a pair of white canvas shoes form my son, My wife entered the shop & ask the cashier.. Hi I need to purchase a pair of white canvas shoes, the cashier & other staff was busy gossiping in Malayalam language, she again said excuse me can you give me a pair of shoes, the staff replayed arrogantly no we are close , madam come tomorrow , No pls help me as tomorrow will be to late as my son has to attend the class @ 8am, No no Pls go away that is not my problem, you should have planed since morning why now at this time, do you think we are dog to slog for 24hrs, My request again don’t worry I know what is want to purchase Pls… Staff laughed at her & asked her to leave, she came out of store, I asked her what happen? did you manage to buy, she replied those 3 boys at the store are bunch of Joker has no respect for a women, I said ok let me request them…



                                  Me & my wife again entered the store, 1 of them came out of the counter and looked at my wife and told, are you mad to come back again after telling that we are close, I was very irritated & furious that how can a staff talk to my wife in this fashion, I immediately asked the staff how dare you talk to my wife like this, he did not respond & started walking towards store room, I stopped him & asked for the shop manager/owners mb numb, he stood back & came close to my face & said this is company you get lost from hear as I am getting angry now, I stood their & did not no what to do with this arrogant staff who was constantly laughing on us & chatting in their mallu language , but I would understand few of their action that they were abusing me, I finally wanted to give them back & walked up to counter & said this is not done your billing counter is still open & your are fooling us, Both of them came out of the counter & started using vulgar language on me & tried to push me out, my wife was very embarrassed with their language, she finally could not tolerate any further & pulled my hand towards entrance , as we were walking , 1 of them replied ? get out are else you will be physically pushed out of the store, I stood & tried to tell him that you will face the music for the bad behavior, he came all the way & cot my T-Shirt & ask me to go are else I will not be able to control my anger, my mom & son rush from the car & took me out,



                                  I really don’t know, what type of quality benchmarks are you following during the course of your manufacture. You are literally taking the Customer for a ride without adhering to any quality benchmark/standards. I feel your Bata showroom is just a show piece with high pricing and with no customer service , and is no more better than an ordinary store where there is no quality at all. Please introspect and take necessary action and these things are not repeated. Customers like me will always vouch. Time is not far, if you start facing legal action for your pathetic service and scant, I am so disappointed that I am being wearing bata shoes right from my childhood & now my children’s ,



                                  Trust I will never again step in any of your bata stores in my dreams!!!! Pathetic & poor customer service



                                  I will certainly take this to a next level & will consult my office legal team on this worst horrifying experience of my life



                                  I don't know whether you will bother about this feedback. But if you have every cared to care for your patrons, I would like to believe that you will respond.

                                    I had purchased BATA shoes "Bata Power sports shoes", with three month rubber sole of the shoes come out because which I felt down on plat form also.

                                    When I went to the Bata shoroom at Andher West, Alaram Centre opp.Andheri show room, they didn't repond me well. i request them to repair the shoes for which i will pay the money, but they can't repair & tell me to through the shoes in Dustbin.

                                    This what BATA such a reuted company selling the POOR QUALITY OF SHOES, & the customer like me suffer for the same. I had purchased this shoe in jan 2011 only. I left the shoes in showroom & told them i will complaint about the same. but they were laughing for the same.

                                    i request to you to take the action on the same & show that there is somebody to hear for such complaint.

                                    this a reminder, i have before also done the complaint about the same but no respond from your department

                                    Pls do the needfull.

                                      I buy a Bata show online trough Bata website on 11Oct11, its clearly mentioned on website that product will be delivered within 7 working days in Delhi. But they delivered on 27th Oct 11, although i already canceled the order on 24th Oct but still they deliver on 27th.
                                      But the product they delivered is defective as their are so many cuts in stitches and sole is not pasted properly. when i complain about this their customer care mailed me that you visit our preet vihar store for shoe evolution. i submitted now store manager showing like i am taking their favor to get evaluation done and has given 5 days time.
                                      I feel totally harassed in this deal mentally and physically. and want you take a some strong step to prevent these kind of fraud.


                                      FYI enclose is the trail mail between me and Customer Care of Bata.

                                        I have ordered a pair of shoes from the website http://www.bata.in/ for the price of Rs973 on 2nd November ( Order number :[protected] . Today is 16th of November & it is still not delivered.I have called up Bata Customer service number number [protected] twice with in this time frame, i was really surprised with such a worst customer service from one of most reputed footwear company. Both the times the rep who spoke to me was such a dumb fellow , that he even do not know basic norms of call handling. He was not even able to provide his supervisor when asked for....

                                        When i try to log in to the website and check the status of the order i always get the same message : "Invoice generated" and the same thing is being informed by the agent both the times.I am not sure when i am not getting get my home delivery on time, that too i am staying in metropolitan city , not remote place. I wish i could sue these guys , for giving false promises on websites that products ordered online will be delivered with in 3-7 days.

                                        At the same time not sure how are these people running a call center, having a nation wide toll free number without following basic ethics.

                                        All that i want/wish is to have my product delivered asap or provide me a complete refund with an apology.

                                        THEY WILL NOT PROCESS THE ORDER AND DELAYS THE DELIVERY... NOT MEETING THE DATES AND POOR CUSTOMER CARE SERVICE.. CHECK THE ORDER 10026455 U WILL UNDERSTAND THE DIFF BTW ORDER DATE AND PROCESSING TIME.
                                        i also get same problem with this online purchase of Bata
                                        Worst ever experience in online shopping:
                                        I purcahse a pair of power shoes (Size 7) frm bata.in on 12th Nov. with promising delivery within 5-7 days. but on 18th Nov. they update the status as invoice generated and then on 22 nov, they shipped it. i received the packest on 26th Nov. i.e. after 14 days.. on opening the box I felt shocked that instead of 7size, the shoes were of 6 size. A foolish mistake by such a big footwear company. I make a complaint on 27th Nov regarding this (complaint number:[protected] and i was told to get response within 48 hrs but when i did not get any calll from bata then i again called to custmoer care (kasht se maro) it was again shocking that they told me to w8 for 7 more days to just get a reply and not the solution. I am very disappiointed from this. it was my biggest mistake in life in online shopping. other online shoe stores are far far better than Bata.

                                        Shame on Bata. guys please do not buy anything from Bata. let us dicard the bata together.

                                        Yes, BATA Online service is worst, who ever has trust on bata will never prefer bata from next purchase on items, Its the same case for me, The status is always Invoice generated, I raised a complaint, They said they will update the status, bata sales will never survive for coming future.
                                        Bata shoes quality has become worst. Nowadays, they are just making people fools. The lowest price shoes are sold at very high prices. And, every time, there is a chance of shoes being damaged within 10-20 days. When we go to Bata Showroom for replacement, they tell us to wait for 5-10 days. Is the customer so free to visit Bata Showroom again and again? Bata does not pay any money for travel charges. Also, what will the customer wear in those 5-10 days? And even after that, Bata does not do the replacement. It says to buy another one of same price. Do the customer have so much time and money to visit Bata and look for shoes again and again? Bata is just a fraud.
                                        I am fully in agreement with the comments given above. The Bata online purchase has been designed this way to dupe customers. The delay seems intentional rather than a mistake. I have placed my order on 12 Dec 12 and have still not got the delivery - complained 9 times, 7 on tele and twice thru mail. 2nd time e-mail complaint couldn't be generated against the same order no. No link to check your on-line complaint status. Very disgusting experience.

                                        I have ordered the product on the above said date, I have got the confirmation call regarding order after 2 days. He confirmed me that your order will be shipped within 7 business days. Its been more than 2 weeks & I haven't got my order.When I saw the cancelled status of my order, I felt cheated and mentally harassed by Bata India.

                                        Just because I have ordered the product on Bata, I haven't ordered the same product from other vendors.

                                        Tell me the reasons why my order has been cancelled without any prior information & permission. It is informed to you to revoke the same order & send the same product as per order placed by me at the earliest otherwise I will forced to move to Consumer Court for justice in respect to the harassment and cheating by Bata India.
