I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Berger Paints regarding extremely poor customer service, negligence in handling my concerns, and an unresolved pending issue.

Despite multiple attempts to communicate through emails and other channels, I have not received any satisfactory response from the company. My emails have either been ignored or addressed with delayed and inadequate replies,...

I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the work done. Few points I want to highlight

Cracks and heavy undulation visible post painting done.
I had to tell the workers to check for cracks, damps etc.
None of the XP tools were used during work
Items were not cleaned post work completion

I raised a warranty complaint on 13/10/2025, regarding paint quality issues with Long Life 10 (exterior) and Easy Clean Fresh (interior), including color shading, bubbles, water marks, and peeling.

A Berger Paints representative inspected the site and confirmed the issue, assuring that the required paint would be provided as compensation under warranty. However, after several follow-ups, I received Easy Clean instead of Easy...

I had booked painting from berger paints and work started on 26th Sep 2025. The Contractor Mr. Chetan took 21000/- as advance of the total bill of 51000/-
He completed 1 room without proper cleaning and just did a re paint on top of the current one without proper cleaning and completed in 3 days.
He started the second room and till date i.i. 09-Oct-25 the 2nd room is not completed properly. Upon complaining to the berger team...

I had my whole house painted by Berger appointed painter - part of their express paint service. Other than poor timeliness / professionalism of painter the biggest problem has been the appearance of a dust like layer all over walls painted.

Firstly, it appears that there has been a lack of attention to detail, particularly in ensuring that furniture and fans are appropriately covered. Despite my reminders, I feel that his responsiveness has been inadequate.

The work commenced on 25th November, and even after multiple requests to finalize the color by 29th November, the contractor has continually provided excuses, such as forgetting the color catalogue, we have a lot of time to finalize the color.

Additionally, I am concerned about the pricing transparency. For the tile painting (Not included in Quotation), Mr. Mohammad included costs for normal painting, which encompasses two putty, two primer, and two paint applications. However, for the tile painting, only one primer and two paint applications were required. During the painting process, he suggested tile painting. After calling Berger Paint customer care on 7th December, I got to know Berger doesn't provide tile painting service. On 7th December, the contractor asked me to pay an extra 8000 rupees (not included in quotation price 44, 304.00 rupees) for tile painting and loft tank area, claiming that I needed to pay that to Berger Paint as extra material cost. My question is who will take the guarantee of tile painting? There is a lack of transparency. If Berger Paint does not provide tile painting service, why would the contractor suggest tile painting using the same Berger material?

On December 9th, Mr. Saleem Shaikh visited my home to address my complaint related to Lead ID - LD[protected]. During his visit, he recorded all the issues I raised against the contractor, Salman Mohammad. The following day, both Mr. Saleem and the contractor inspected my property again.

It was brought to my attention that Berger Paint does not cover tile painting or loft tank area painting in their service offerings. Consequently, the contractor calculated the areas for these additional works and provided a quotation amounting to Rs. 9, 158. However, I want to highlight that the Lead ID referenced in this quotation was 6592. When I contacted Berger Paints customer care, they confirmed that only Lead ID - LD[protected] is reflected in their system and no such quotation linked to my mobile number or email exists.

I strongly believe that this quotation is fraudulent, as it was generated without proper documentation in the Berger Paint system. Moreover, the contractor failed to inform me that tile and loft tank area paint services are not provided by your company, which raises concerns of transparency and honesty in the service.

Additionally, I requested a detailed email outlining the areas, including square footage, of the work undertaken in my home. However, I only received a response where Mr. Saleem mentioned a warranty letter, without including crucial details or the linked Lead ID. It's also worth noting that the contractor was excluded from this correspondence, creating further confusion about accountability regarding the warranty.

The work done at my flat done 15 days back. The work done was not satisfactory. There are lot of painting defects. Also defects of painting are reoccurring again and again. I raised the complaint with your advisor Mr Pravin mobile no [protected].

But he has not able to provide solutions nor is supporting me. I am attaching herewith photos of defects for your reference. Accept early support from you

As per the technician visit at site, who advice to use latex seal 2k as water proofing coat prior to fixing of tiles and apply epoxy tile grout after fixing of tiles. Accordingly latex seal 2k has been applied by berger paint. Post tiles fixing in bathroom when asked for application of epoxy tile grout, the berger paint is delaying the service on the ground that epoxy tile grout is not available with berger paint. They however not able to disclose when the material be available. Thus if they can't provide the material, the berger paint should ascertain that the warranty of latex seal 2k applied will remain valid if other than epoxy tile grout by berger is applied. I had formally made a complain on the subject mention above. The complain no given to me was SR[protected], accordingly an executive was sent to review and verify my complain on 4th November 2023 and collected the details. Unfortunately no further update is received from your end till date.

As I have requested for painting at my home with your company, but I am not satisfy with the work done by your vendor ..
Coz the vendor given by your sales person is not listening any of my words and arguing, he use that colors that available with him .
They have not done water proofing on the walls as they have taken all the charges in advance only first 5 % taken by your Executive rest all payment...

Sub : Painting works done at our Home by Berger

My house is located at Periyapalam, Kuzhalmannam, Palakkad District . During April 2019, we have assigned Ms Berger Paints limited to perform the painting works at our house on the ground that Berger is one of the leading painting Company in India and on expectation of quality of works .

Berger rep. submitted the quote, after visiting our house and check the surfaces where painting to be done. We demanded a quality work since this was the first time painting after construction of house where only putty and primer has been done. Their contractors executed the painting works at our house based on the quotation received on 05th April 2019 under Lead[protected] and the job was completed on 27th May 2019 as per the attached works completion certificate . The entire painting works were warranted against a warranty certificate valid for 5 years as per the attached warranty certificate provided through Berger nominated contractor.

Within 2 years we have noticed that the painting was not done up to our expectation as many of the surfaces were bulging out or bubbling up . We have notified the same to Berger through proper channel as per the customer complaint as attached and one of their representative visited the site and informed that the bulging was due to the moisture issues and this cant be covered under warranty .

Our Argument is that why the authorised representative or nominated contractor of Berger paints didn't expect such a situation in advance and inform the customer about the same before performing the painting works . When initially we have already demanded a quality work and they should have done proper moisture checking wherever the surface required the same. Many of the bubbles or bulges are air pockets also. The worst part is that, each time Burger sent different reps to visit and they don’t
Even bring the basis tools like moisture metres to check the issue. They themselves will blame the moisture or climate of the place and declare the reason.

Considering the unprofessional attitude of Berger paints and its representative and also the mental strain effected us due to the poor quality of paining, we urge the Berger paint authorities to rectify the damages caused to us in a fair manner as it is high time to repaint our house .

I choose berger services to heard about company popularity, but very disappointed for your service, for last 3 weeks ago my 3bh flats white wash has started and still date its pending which assure to complete work in 10 days unprofessional painter has done their job. Stainof white wash are seen in all over places at my home, in my tv Cabinet, My fish aquarium, all

I have recently availed the services from Berger under express painting service campaign believing to be good services as claimed in various advertisements being published by berger paints on various platform including social media...

After availing the services, i am of the firm view that services are pathetic, of sub standard quality and very far as claimed through the advertisement by the company ... nobody from company even cares to take care the site even after sending multiple reminders., , , they are just using this service as money extortion tool from the customer, , , , even after taking money, they do not issue receipts/invoices even after multiple reminders... also charge higher money than agreed... all manual work...no professional advice...no proper site cleaning...

1. Cracks are formed at multiple places in wall where painting is done
2. Paint is getting peeled off at multiple places. This raises concern on the paint quality.
3. Finishing is not up to be mark in wall edges, wall corners and wall sides close to windows.
4. After paint completion, doors, floors and slabs were not cleaned and we had to arrange it separately. This was escalated via call to customer care. No action taken.
5. We had requested to re calculated the painting area in sqft, which was completely ignored

I have taken Express Paint Service in April 2023, Due to some reasons work started on May 1st week 2023. While giving the quotation they said work will be completed in 1 month (30 Days) for a 2bhk Apartment. But for Completing 2 coatings of paint they have taken 2 Months. When I visit the location, very disappointed with Work & Finish.
- For the Living room, Master Bedroom, & Kitchen I have given one color and they painted another color (Given light shade color & they painted Dark Shade) After that contractor agreed to change color (I paid extra for that paint cost also), they painted other colors to cover up, Colors are ok but the finish was pathetic, some areas they painted with dust we can clearly see those bubbled type spots on the wall if any color combo on wall those border work was very bad (painted like kids),
- Some areas they have not even added putty also,
- Bathroom tiles, Sinks, and Taps were fully spoiled with paint drops,
- One of the sinks was cleaned, but it was cleaned with some metal instruments - full of scratches on the Chrome part,
- Stencil Work Pending on walls,
- In Some areas, the color was light in one sport and dark in one spot (I don't know the actual reason, but I feel that they have not painted a second coating in some areas).
- Touchups pending, switchboards were painted on corners (not cleaned them).

Current Situation: No one Responding even Contractor & Relationship Manager. No one will come to check the status of the contract from Berger. We have already moved to this apartment. Still pending in work, Paint Buckets were there in the Living hall. Experiencing worst time.

The main Problem with Berger Painting was they don't respond to our calls, Contractor & Relationship Manager. I created a support ticket for help, you will get a call back but they don't complete the work. I have given complaint on this numbers also +[protected], (Toll-Free didn't work on that day)

Berger Express Painting contract was given to be hassle free. Now after paying 90% of the amount, the labour is not coming. Work is lagging greatly. The supervisor is not picking the phone, he is just nit helping and harassing a lot. He is just not cooperating.Just not ready to complete the work.
& The finished part was done in a terrible hurry and no proper clean up was done.

It was a very exhausting experience with Berger paints. I will definitely not recommend Berger to anyone else!

The supervisor is not picking up the phone, he is just not helping and harassing a lot. He is just not cooperating. Just not ready to complete the work.
& The finished part was done in a terrible hurry and no proper cleanup was done.

It was a very exhausting experience with Berger paints. I will definitely not recommend Berger to anyone else!
