I have recently taken bharat petroleum gas connection. From kohli gas service code no. 112250 (Gat no. 72/2b, bhimashankar vashat village kiwale - post dehu - pune - 412101).
During the time of connection i have opted for 2 gas cylinders. I have paid a total rs. 5524.50 /- which included 3592.50 /- refundable deposit, 190 /- for gas pipe and 2 gas cylinders worth 871 /- each on 27th oct - 2018.
I was not given receipt for the 2 cylinders after payment and cylinders were delivered 3 days later on 30th oct 2018. I was told i would receive the receipts during delivery bu that didn't happen as well. Totally disappointed with this type of service from kohli gas service.
When i asked about the subsidy process to kohli gas service i was not given proper information about the subsidy process.
I was told i would receive an sms when subsidy gets added to my bank account.
Even after a week of delivery i did not receive any sms regarding subsidy. And because of poor response from kohli gas service
I decided to download and check it on bharat gas app, which i thought would give proper information about how to get subsidy.
In the bharat gas app, i saw one option for subsidy. I just pressed it in hope to receive more information on subsidy. The app hanged at this point and i got a message displaying, that i have opted out of subsidy. I was shocked because of this. I never intended to opt out of subsidy. Then i see there is no option to opt-in back in the app, even if someone has presses it by mistake. This is not how an app should work. This is misleading people to perform action which they are not aware of through such apps and there is no option to roll-back. This not acceptable at all. So many things are kept manual like even registering a mobile number with bharat gas even though we have adhaar linked mobile number and one time otp etc.. Why the opt-out just in one click without any thorough confirmation messages or warnings. For e. G. Bharat gas never asked me "are you sure you want to opt-out of subsidy". These are basic warnings and they are never asked on bharat gas app because of their malicious intent to fool people to opt-out of subsidy accidentally and then not allowing any option to opt-in back.
Then i complained on the bharat gas customer care phone number and the first complaint number[protected] i received a response that it will take 365 days for any consumer to opt-in back for the subsidy. I mean seriously is this some joke. First of all my subsidy taken away because of the faulty misleading app and now i get a response that i have to wait for 365 days to opt-in back for subsidy for no mistake of mine.
This is totally unacceptable. This is fraud. If i don't get my subsidy opted immediately. I taking this case to consumer court.
If no proper solution is provide to me immediately then, i will close my gas connection with bharat gas as there is no point in buying as from gas a company like yours which does not allow a consumer to reverse opt-out which was done my mistake and unintentionally.
I hope my subsidy will be restored on my second complaint[protected] and i don't need to take these drastic steps.
