Problem faced with Mobile no. [protected] during number portability & documents submission irritation.
I did portability from Vodafone to Airtel recently. I submitted my all documents as per store manager's requirement. He informed me that porting will be done within 7 days. But, it did not happen even after 15 days. He just kept me moving around but no proper answer. Finally after 20-22 days porting is done.
I have submitted all my documents (Passport copy, PAN Card & Passport size photo) to him at very first. But after porting I lost signal in the SIM. I was wondering why? When I inquired they said your SIM number is not matching. This happened after my inquiry, but they did not contact me on mu alternate contact number. Such a big harassment to a customer.
When I submitted my documents for 2nd time, they did not activate my number but took 3 days. But I was assured by store manager that it will be activated with in 2-3 hours. But it did not. Third time when I visited the store, again Airtel took all my documents. Don't understand why do Airtel need my documents for 3-3 times?? Then number was activated after so much irritation given to me.
After few days, again I got SMS that your SIM will be barred if you don't submit your documents. I was totally wondering that I submitted my documents for 3-3 times & how they can ask me for documents?? A big irritation. Still I visited Airtel store and submitted my documents for 4th time to keep my service running. But even after documents submission on 3rd day my SIM card has got barred. (No incoming + No outgoing)
I am working in a responsible position in a MNC where I can't keep my cell off because I received alot important calls. I am stuck in a big problem due to stupidity of Airtel now. I even did not get any proper response & resolution on email communication.
Government is for public, after this incident happened to me. I hereby request TRAI & government to take a very strict action against Airtel for this matter.
How they can do this with their customer? This is such a big irritation for me. I believe Airtel should take their customers seriously. I should get compensation for the problems I have faced which has resulted in huge loss to me.
