Subject : To start frequency of Bus no. 201, 200 28, 38 or 81Ltd from
Morning 6.40a.m to 7.00a.m

Respected Sir,


I, Mrs.Shaila Shaikh, a resident of MAHIM (L.J.Road, Mahim), I had a small query on behalf of all the parents and morning school going and also college (Linking Road) going children. there is no frequency of bus no 201, 200, 28, 38, and 81 LTD from mahim church route in the morning(6.30a.m to 7.00a.m) All the Bandra n Linking road going children have to literary struggle for the bandra bus (No. 56 or 51 )which becomes so crowded that sometime the children are in and the parents are left out (timimg of the peak hour is morning 6.40 to 7.00) We the parents and the childrens will be obliged if you could start with any of the above two buses i.e ( bus no. 201, 200, 81Ltd, 38 or 28) from morning 6.40 to 7.00. I hope our request will be heard and the facility will be given to us ASAP.

    There are no BEST AC bus catering to Mulund(w) to Sakinaka. Sakinaka is one of the commercial/office junction and the frequency of non-ac buses are pethatic in the mornings hours and also its really difficult for female/pregnant commuter to travel during morning office hours. Why BEST is not coming up with AC buses catering to Mulund - Andheri (E) Via sakinaka route. There buses to but via Seepz?

    There are many commuters from Saki Naka travelling towards Mulund and towards Andheri station. One of the existing AC buses from Mulund could easily be re-routed via Saki Naka. At least the folks in this neighbourhood would stand to benefit.
    Yes and their should be ac bus from borivali to sakinaka also. Their are many buses going to powai one of them rerouted via sakinaka.
    There also should be a ac bus from Worli to Saki naka, as train travelling and then again bus takes lots of time and money. Its difficult to travel via bus from andheri station. Please start a bus from south mumbai to saki naka.

      I am Ivan Kotian, Physically Handicap working in Geepee Shipping at Nariman Point and travelling daily from Ambarnath to Nariman Point where in I have to board a bus from CST Depot Bus No.1. I used to stand in a queue to board the bus, but many times people walk so fast in the queue which makes people like me very difficult to catch them and the bus so I started boarding the bus directly without a standing in queue.

      All Inspectors (T.C.) at the Bus stop No.1, are very generous with handicapped people like us that they allow us to board the bus without standing in a queue. But today 25/08/2010 at 9.00 a.m., one Assistant Traffic Officer did not allow me to board the bus and he told me that from the starting point you are not allowed to board the bus without standing in a queue and you have to stand in a queue and he was so rude that I felt very offended by his rude behaviour & remarks in front of all the people around the bus and he kept on grumbling, criticising all the handicapped people without any mercy.

      I wanted to know his name as no name plate was tagged on his shirt and I had to lodge a complaint, so I asked Mr. More (Incharge Inspector T.C.) about his Identity but he told me you better ask Assistant Traffic Officer himself. So i went to him to ask his name again he started abusing me and he told that in the depot there are only two Assistant Traffic Officers and when you complain they will come to know. I dont want to tell my name, do whatever you want and he kept on grumbling and made a tamasha that everybody was looking at me.

      I am travelling from CST to NCPA, Nariman Point since 20 years and Ihave not come across such a indiscipline & abusive officer in my life and for your information he has even been seen screaming and abusing around everybody including ladies.

      My question is that :
      1. Is this the way the Officers represents the BEST ?
      2. Is this the way BEST Assistant Traffic Officers behave with Handicapped People?
      3. Is it that can any Assistant Traffic Officer abuse harassed people of the society ?
      4. Is there anybody who can bring such people in the book by taking strict disciplinary action that no such incidents should happen again to any of the Handicapped Person

      If strict action is not taken against these Officers then Handicapped people like us will be living an uncomfortable life

        I have received electric bill at my residence at Aman apt. Gun powder road. Mazgon. Of R's. 2690. which is an exorbitant amount. I am single person living alone without AC. My bill should not exceed Rs 400 to Rs500.
        Being a senior citizen it is beyond my capacity to pay such big amount. Please look into the matter urgently.

          Bus no As-461 (Borivali West to Mulund) is regularly late despite two buses waiting at the depo, but the bus still never leaves on the stated time schedule. The queue gets so long that one bus is not sufficient to accomodate the crowd, we get vague replies if complained at the depot window.
          The condition of the bus is so bad that its as good as non ac bus, the speed of the bus is slower than cycle when it goes over the bridges.

            B.E.S.T. Bus — Seat Covers

            B.E.S.T. Bus, Registration No. :- M.H. - 01 - H - 9365, Rout No. 203.

            Almost all the SEAT COVERS of the above said bus are badly worn out and necessary to replace with new one.

            B.E.S.T Bus — Bus didn't stop on the bus stop

            I was heading towards Bhandup sonapur on a bike, it was around 6: 30pm on 19th April 2010 and thats when i saw a bus driver did'nt halted the bus on Bhandup Police station stop even when there was enough space for passangers to get in and one old man who was trying to board in the bus fell down and was hurted badly and the bus driver didn't even bothered to stop and see what happened. Instead he was running to get the signal. the bus no. was 27 and the code no was 2337 WR coming from worli depot.
            This is just not the way they should treat passengers. we pay for our journey and he is not taking us free of cost.

            B.E.S.T. Bus — irregular bus

            B.E.S.T. AC-461 bus start from mulund to borivali. This bus time 7.30am & 8.45am & 8.00am start from mulund station most of time cancelled by B.E.S.T. second thing is that many AC buses are break down during travelling. we paying money but company not given satisfied service. i suffered daily problem & it is effect on my job.

                Hello,
                I was travelling in bus no.185 from Hiranandani stop to John baker stop. driver did not halt at John baker stop . so i told him that there is halt for this bus at john baker stop. he kept arguing and dropped the passengers at next stop.this incidence occured at 10.00 am on 28 July 2010.
                Already BEST is planning to raise ticket fairs,frequency is low (which i realise will never be taken care of) and to add to that, if the bus drivers are not not going to halt at the destined stops, it only adds to our troubles in the over crowded public transport

                  The frequency of A S 1 Buses starting from Thane Cadbury's Junction is NOT AT ALL ADEQUATE.

                  From 7.30 am to 8.30 am there is a continuous long queu of atleast 45 people waiting for a bus and the present frequency of 15 minutes does not liquidate the long queu. At any given time there are 45 to 55 people waiting in queu to board the next bus which arrives only after 15 minutes IF it is not late as usual.To add to our woes there is also a constant traffic jam at Cadbury junctin which further compounds our problem.

                  Kindly increase the frequency of buses, so there are buses leaving Cadbury junction every 10 minutes. We are sure no bus will leave without 10/15 standees. This frequency needs to be kept up between 7.30 am to 8.30 am which we feel is peak hour.

                  Kindly do the needful.

                    There was no service available for two hours i stood for a particular buus which runs from mulund to nerul & back i was waiting for two hours in vashi. ( BUS No. AS 512 ) i appeal GM OP Gupta (BEST) to look into this matter plz find some alternative to it where a person has to stand for 2 hours after paying BEST in advance . & specially see to it that people at MULUND CHECK NAKA DEPOT Behave like a humans.

                      Bus route no.391 which operates between Khindipada to Mulund Railway Station (West). For last few days, the bus service to mulund station in morning peak time i.e.8.30 am to 9.30 am has been deteriorating. After 8.40 am nearly for 20 minutes no single bus come. After 9.00 am buses start coming from Khindipada which are obviously get overcrowded within first two stops and does not halt on further stops. It is not so that buses are short, between 8.30 am to 9.00 am, we see number of buses going to Khindipada bus very few return back before 9.00 am and after 9.00 a.m.buses start coming one after one hardly keeping any distance between them.
                      Request BEST officials to look after it and solve the problem.

                        Ref: AC Bus No. MH01 0064,
                        Route: Navi Mumbai to Borivali(14th July 2010).

                        There is this bus driver of Bus No. MH01 0064 of Best AC bus, who closed the door on me which has hurt me very badly in my shoulder. On top of that this driver gets on a fighting mood when complained and pretends to have done right.

                        Request to take action against such drivers who tends to think they are doing a favor driving public transport. They should be scraped of their jobs for few days to make them understand.

                          I do not where to approach for suggestion BEST Bus route extension, so giving it here. pl forward to BEST.

                          I'm a regular commuter since last 11 yrs. on BEST bus route 501 ltd. and get down at chembur camp.
                          As all o[censored]s know b'coz of monorail work here bus routes are changed and commuters are facing trouble of changing bus thereby increase in travel time in office rush, wasting time too.

                          My suggestion on behalf of all commuter who regularly travel from navi mumbai route of BEST BUS NO 519 GHANSOLI TO DEONAR can be extended upto chembur camp,ZAMA chowk. Hence all we will be thankful to BEST.

                          Like me, hundreds of hundreds commuters daily travel from navi mumbai to chembur. They get down at diamond garden signal catch another bus and go to chembur camp. Many residents are from Ghansoli, Koparkhairane to vashi, vashi- diamond garden- and again to chembur camp. We do this journey changing buses morning and evening daily. Now we are really tired of this.

                          Please please please extend this route, it is very easy for BEST. It's less than 5 minutes from DEONAR TO CHEMBUR CAMP if same bus is extended. but by changing the bus as I have mentioned it takes 20 minutes.

                            I have been taking AC Bus ( AS - 422 ) from Mulund Check Naka - LBS Road) to Andheri and Back since last one year. The service for this route till last month was good but since month of May and in particularly in the month of June 2010 it has deteriorated. The major issue what we face is of breakdown of the buses on the way ( in last one week 4 times) wherein the passengers have to choose for the other mode of transport with an additional expenses being most of the passengers are monthly pass holders.
                            I feel that these buses are not maintained properly during their maintenance or buses are not ment to ply in Indian roads.

                            Also requests you to increase the no. of trips for this bus.

                            I would be grateful if BEST can start AC Bus Service from Thane to Andheri and back as their are many passengers who travels in this route.

                            Yesterday morning ( 12th Sep 2010) myself along with my family decided to travel by Borivali station (E) to Thane Majiwada by taking the 700 number normal non ac bus. I was travelling with my wife, her mother and my one year old daughter.

                            We were travelling with some luggage as we were coming back from Ahmedabad and were unable to get a rikshaw to Thane.

                            We took the morning 6.00 AM bus ( bus number MH-01- LA- 6373)which had arrived from the Depot I guess. The bus was empty and there were hardly 10 -15 people trying to get in the bus. Since it was drizzling people were struggling to get in with their bags and umbrellas.

                            The bus conductor was unnecessarily shouting and yelling at people to get inside the bus quickly. It was creating an unnecessary panic among the commuters . My wife who was holding my one year old daughter was about to fall since the driver was slowly moving the bus.

                            I fail to understand that why is such a hurry with your employees to move the bus out of the bus stop when I am sure the driver can see that there are old ladies and small children trying to get inside bus.
                            Once I got inside the bus I asked the conductor to tell the driver to stop moving the bus as the commuters may fall from bus. After this he started abusing me in front of other commuters.

                            I am not sure what action you can initiate for this misbehavior but at least requesting you to please inform your staff to behave like humans and in a little more courteous way.

                            ac best buses — Non issue of passes to new passengers

                            Since last 3 months BEST BUS are not issuing passes to new monthly passes. Reasons they are giving that they still not able to develop the system for issuing passes. The great surprise is that they are able to give the passes to the people who are having the ID card issued prior to the stopping of issue of new passess. When they can issue passes to old passengers why cant they issue the same to new passengers. If there is going to be any change naturally it will going to have changes to the old passengers also
                            In the evening while boarding AS-422 they do not halt at Shipping corporation for people to go to mulund check naka. After having pass of AC we people have to travel in non ac buses which create great problem to passenger. Even if there are 2 people on the bus stop they will never halt. Normally there are no more than 2 persons on the bus stop. These drivers have got into habit of not stopping on this stop. Please take strict action against them as they are giving us trouble from last 1 month.
                            I usually travel by AS 422. can u please add one stop between Andheri Station & Chakala i.e at Bahaar Cinema. It would be beneficial for many passengers from Parle & Andheri who reside in nearby vicinity. Also the no. of passengers would be increase slightly as usually bus is not that crowded & would benefit BRTS (BEST) also.
                            Its really a painful request & hope u will take an positive action on the same.

                              Please increase the frequency of 392 bus by 3-4 buses at least during morning and night frm majas depot to vikhroli as there is lots of rush in the morning and we have to wait for the bus for more than half an hour. no bus properly after 8:30 pm from hiranandani gardens

                                BEST has started a range of AC buses which is really an appreciable initiative. But AS 5 which travels between Thane Cadbury Junction and MTNL Store of BKC has a very ery less frequency. Charges of these buses are almost 3-4 times of the ordinary buses but due to the low frequency of the buses these always go full from the starting point. People who get into the bus at the immediate stop of the starting point have to go standing whole the way till thane beause almost all of the passengers go till thane. Same is the case in the mornings. Buses are full at cadbury junction itself. People even travel standing from the starting point of the buses. There is a tremondous need of increasing the no of buses in the peak and rush hours. After paying such a heavy amount of bus pass, if passesnger still has to travel standing, it is a major major reason for dissatisfaction among them. Also, some of the drivers of these buses are very rude and ignorant.

                                  I am consumer of above mentioned AC Bus - AS 2 (Dahisar to Backbay depot) & and AS 4 (Oshiwara depot to Backbay depot). I used to get in at [censored]ladevi Stopage (Mahim). In the morning, during 8.00 A.M. to 9.30 P.M. all the buses coming are over crowded. One could not get a seat before Haji Ali or Pedar Road, however, in most of the days even standing is much more painful. The passengers seated also feels lot of trouble while getting down.

                                  The present frequency of above buses are 25-20 minutes, but most of the times some buses cancelled which aggravate the problem. I suggest / request you to increase the frequency of the above buses particularly in the morning hours at an interval of 10 minutes instead of present 15-20 minutes.                                   Bank — BEST AC Bus No. AS-2

                                  I regulary take a bus fro Goregaon (East) Western Express Highway - Vanrai / MHADA Colony bus stop. This is my routine for last 3 years. On the bus stop it is written that BEST AC Bus No. AS-2 will stop at this stop. However, the drivers & conductors of this bus done seem to bother and dont stop their buses at this bus stop.
                                  I have asked reasons for the same and they say that they are not aware that this is also a stop. The inspectors dont seem to be vothered and hence we have no option left but to complaint.
                                  Pls take a note of this COMPLAINT as this is very srious and affects are timing to reach office.
                                  The AC buses are poorly maintained and do not run properly.

                                  Today I travelled in AS 70 - 7.35 am AC BEST Bus from mira road road station to Nehru Planetrium.

                                  The bus did not have enough gas and it could not pull its AC and overpacked
                                  passengers weight from Dahisar depot only.

                                  The bus driver kept on driving the bus without AC for the whole trip and bus
                                  became very suffocating for passengers.

                                  When I demanded a refund of the ticket, at Malad stop, the conductor and driver

                                  started fighting with me.The driver said that BEST does not allow a replacement bus in case it breaks down on the way.

                                  He also said BEST AC buses are Chinese and they are not suited for mumbai
                                  roads.

                                  He said he was forced to drive such bad vehicles.

                                  The conductor said that BEST does not allow refund to cash passengers and get down at the Depot for refund.

                                  So many passengers got off the bus mid-way without any ticket refund or
                                  they had BEST pass.

                                  The 1 hour journey took 2 hours today. As a result I was late to the office by
                                  45 minutes.

                                  BEST should invest money in repair of these buses also.

                                  It should not allow overloading of the buses by the BEST staff. and allow immediate refund to cash customers.

                                  Otherwise BEST transport deptt. negligence would result in a major
                                  accident and loss of lives in future
                                  ac busses r required from mulund to backbay depot
                                  I am consumer of bus no. 461 from borivali to mulund.
                                  Today on 04 September 2011, the bus departed at 10:21 from borivali.
                                  The bus was completely empty but it did not stop at the bus stop due to which lot of inconvinence was phased by me & my family.

                                  I boarded the AS4 on 18-Jan-2012 at Mahim at around 6:45pm. I took a seat on the fourth row of the bus.
                                  I then purchased a ticket for the last stop for which i gave a Rs.100 note.
                                  The conductor promptly returned the balance amount and walked away to the back of the bus.

                                  I counted the balance amount and noticed that he had not given me the ticket.
                                  I waited for him to return to the front of the bus. But somehow he returned to the front of the bus only after we had crossed Bandra Talao. Upon seeing him I mentioned that although he had returned exact change he did not give me a ticket.

                                  On hearing this, he started defending himself and accused me of having lied and having lost the ticket.
                                  He was not only rude and humiliating but refused to help the situation.
                                  Finally he said he cannot give me another ticket and in the most unruly manner told me to just be seated.

                                  I presume the conductor thought that I am not an Indian owing to my non-Indian color and features.
                                  But I don't think its right to keep quiet and encourage their unaccounted income for i am an Indian and I am a tax payer.

                                  In this whole argument I managed to note down his badge number. It is W 16817.
                                  It will be very helpful if some body can please help me with the correct email or contact # where I can make an official complaint.

                                    Hi,

                                    I am Mr. Ganesh and travel by new Bus No. 454 from Inorbit Mall to Shivshahi Prakalpa, Goregaon East. What I observed is Conductors of Evening Buses (6 pm. onwards) takes short route till Dindoshi depot and returns back, without going further till last stop(Shivshahi Prakalpa). Hence, we have to get down Half way at Dindoshi Depot and wait till other bus comes.

                                    Driver & Conductor gives the excuses like they have to reach back to SatBungalow at 9 pm. But I don't know, how 2/3 buses after 6 pm. have to reach SatBunglow at 9 pm, as only one Bus will get started from that place at 9 pm. (And not 2/3 Buses).

                                    It seems that Driver/Conductor have made such excuses just to reach at there places earlier, by dropping other passangers Half way in between.

                                    I request You to pls. pay attention to this issue. Thanks.

                                      Hi All BEST bus passengers.
                                      It was my worst ever experience with the BEST. I stay at andheri and planned with my wife to visit Mahalakshmi temple and Siddhi Vinayak Temple.
                                      We took the Rs 20 ticket and on our way back got down at Bandra West Gaite galaxy stop. The next bus came (31 Exp) which had 3 or people all from BEST in it and as we got in I showed the ticket to the conductor, he took my ticket and demanded that i pay him the bus fare and that this ticket is not allowed in the Exp bus, the bus just took off say almost 5 seconds from the stop, i told the conductor nicely to ring the bell so that we can get down and take another bus, he refused to ring bell and give my ticket and insisted me to take tickets. After requesting him for 5 to 6 times , i had to shout at him and he and his colleagus in the bus stated that they should take me to police as i am refusing ticket, i wanted to get down as this was not the bus i wanted to travel and had mistakenly boarded for which i had inmmediately requested that i want to get down. It was shocking that i was forced to take a ticket and not allowed to get down. I am pasting the details of the same in this email. The conductor was very rude and sarcastic.The ticket numbers that he issued me were[protected] and[protected] this was the bus going towards goregaon West. The conductor batch number is 18420 and the bus number was MH 01 AD 0679, the travel date was[protected] at 9.45 am, whats going to happen with other and senior citizens

                                      The way he spoke to me and my wife, if his wife would have been in the bus she would have slapped him or would have asked god to forgive him for the crime he has commited.

                                      I would want to see, that this does not happen with other brothers and sisters specially with any senior citizens.

                                      Please take out some time to coach the crackpot conductor and if possible take some actions

                                      I would really apprecaite if some thing happens and some action is taken.

                                      a conductor of ac bus 440 charged me Rs 35 for travelling from Mahim to Kherwadi.. i realised it only later whn i saw the ticket (he had billed from wadala to mahim).. i had thought the bus fare must have increased since the advt films were removed..

                                      i wanna know how a formal complaint is to be lodged and the contact details of the BEST administrators.

                                      i think this can be proved since the ticket also gives the time of printing..so guess the machine should have the records of tickets issued in sequence.

                                        It is to bring to your notice that the 385 Bus are never on time. Normally it is in intervals of 15mins but we have to stand at the bus stop for almost 60-80 mins for the bus. I take the bus from Glass Factory to Doordarshan everday.

                                        Take the example of yesterday incident where we were standing at doordarshan bustop from 0550pm to 0715pm and there was not a single 385 bus which had come during this time. We have to take cab from doordarshan to Khodadad Circle so that we can get other bus options.

                                        Also please note that there is no frequency of 385 buses from 0845am to 0940am we have to stand everyday at the stop. Even it has happened that after such a long wait the bus driver didn't halt at the Glass Factory stop and he stopped the bus few distance away so that the passengers can get down.

                                        Is this the way the public transport department are giving the services to the passengers. Request you to kindly look into this matter as the conductor of the buses have informed us that other bus conductors and drivers do timepass at the bus depot. This I have observed at Dr Kurne Chowk (opp to Siemens-Worli), Where I have left the office at 0630pm and i saw 385 bus standing at the Depot so I thought i will get this bus but I was standing at the stop opposite to Mahindra from 0630pm and 0730pm and when I checked at depot department they said that they take a 1 hr break.

                                        Taking break is not bad it is required for every human, but it should be for limited minutes.

                                        Hope this is considered and action taken for the same.
