This is specifically in regards to your A/c bus service in Mumbai. In the recent 3 months I have observed that most of the A/c buses are not maintained at all. Especially the A/c bus no: 1323, route no:700, from Borivali to thane. And also similar route buses from Thane to Borivali never have the A/c working. The conductor is rude and the bus driver behaves as if he is doing a favour by driving the bus. They do not respond to our queries, do not switch on the A/c and are extremely arrogant. I need you to look into the matter and make sure they are made to realise that they are in a service industry and they need to treat us like their customers and not beggers. Moreover, BEST needs to make sure, the busses are serviced, checked and only then allowed to ply on the roads. Else please make sure when the A/c is not working, the passengers are returned their entire fare. BEST is playing with the lives of innocent passangers and should be taken to court for this irresponsible behavour.

From November 2013 AS 700 Bus Thane (east)-Borivali (east) timings have changed, but there is no mention of any change on the NET. The last change was done two years back. Please update.
Bus AS 458 Gorai-Mulund check naka has been discontinued from November.The bus should be run via Borivali National Park in the morning and peak period so that revenue is generated on this route.

    My car No.: MH-02-CL-1263 was damaged on the rear right side due to rash and negligent driving by BEST Driver whose name is Vinayak Dighe having BEST driver number: 3482 on BEST Bus Route Number 243, Bus Registration Number : MH-01-4A-5641 at Jankalyan Nagar, near Police Beat Chowkie No.4, today (09/02/2013) at 7.30pm.

    The driver, Vinayak Dighe, having BEST Driver's Badge No.3482 rammed into and scrapped my car while passing my vehicle which was stopped on the side and I was sitting in it.

    He did not stop and continued to drive away. I had to chase him and bring him to a halt in order to get the bus number and his details.

    This was a clear case of hit and run and I demand that the BEST Management bring this driver to book and punish him under the law for rash driving.

    I have registered a complaint with the Malvani Police Station and insist that the Law for rash driving be applied to every driver, including those in Government Service such as this BEST Driver.

    I shall be taking this matter forward in all forums to bring to book rash drivers employed by the BEST Bus Service in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

    BEST Bus Driver — BEST Bus Driver Rash driving with hit and Run Case

    My name is Sachin Naik. Today at 9:40 am near Chakala signal, Andheri east, the bus driver of BEST bus no: 415 with name plate number: MH 01 8484 hit my accent and damaged the side mirror. I stopped my vehicle in front of him and he basically did not come out of the bus but instead did a hit and run. This has cost me Rs. 1500/-. Can any one let me know what needs to be done for this type of rash driving by BEST. They drive like driving small rickshaws unable to apprehend that they have a big big vehicle. Can any one help me what legal step can be taken against this irresponsible BEST drivers

    BEST bus service — Rash Driving

    Dear Sir,

    Bus No. MH01-LA-6765..(5517 DIN)..on 25th Aug 2009 time 7.10 PM at Goregaon Aaery Road signal going towards Dindoshi.

    The particular dirver was driving so roughly on the left side of my CAR and practically tried to push me on the other side of the road.. on high throttle with full acceleration sound...scaring my family and me.

    all this when he wanted to take a left turn.

    B.E.S.T BUS SERVICE — Rash Driving

    I am a regular commuter of B.E.S.T Buses plying on routes From Bhayander to Goregaon ( Dindoshi). Recently i have seen that best bus drivers are driving in very rash manner. The bus starts moving without all passengers having entered into the bus, this behaviour always carries a risk of accident. so, i would suggest that proper training should be given to best drivers so that journey is accident free.

    BEST BUSES — RASH AND NEGLIGENT DRIVING

    THE COMPLAIN IS REGARDING THE RASH AND NEGLIGENCE DRIVING OF A BUS DRIVER ROUTE NUMBER 425 PLYING FROM MULUND TO GOREGAON. THE INCIDENCE WAS THAT THE BUS WAS ABOUT TO DASH MY MO BIKE AT GANDHINAGAR JUNCTION NEAR POWAI 2.50 PM. THE DETAIL OF BUS IA AS FOLLOWS ROUTE NO- 425, BUS RTO NO - MH-019365, OSHIWARA DEPOT, BUS DEPOT NO- 8362.
    MY ONLY REQUEST IS TO BRING THIS IN THE MANAGEMENT NOTICE BUT NO SEVERE ACTION TO BE TAKEN ON THE DRIVER, JUST A VERBAL AND PROPER UNDERSTANDING TO BE GIVEN TO THE DRIVER.

    BEST Bus service, Mumbai — Carelessness and carefree attitude towards the duty

    This is regarding bus no MH 01 9763, the bus number 66. It leaves from Sion, Rani laxmi bai choak around 8.25. It is suppose to halt at Gandhi market stop, but it has become a everyday scene that the bus driver does not stop at all at the stop. Even on showing the hand and even after the bus being empty, the driver does not stop. The driver wears a monkey cap because of the winter season these days. He leaves a passengers who are getting down on the road. It is highly regretful that we have to face such a situation and it is spoiling the name of your service. I request you to please make a note of this. The driver who leaves around 8.25 in bus number 66 from rani laxmi bai choak. I noted the bus number today. Please take some action, or else I may have to go to the depot for the complaint. It is causing a lot of trouble for us.

    BEST — no route name or number

    there are no rout names or numbers on best buses now a days. all some things written is by a chalk which as a school student know will get dusted away by air flow during the bus travel. afterwards there becomes no father or mother or surname to the traveling tin.
    i know it is useless for writing a complaint stunt,hoping some deaf ear & blind eye feels it.
    print this complaint i[censored] dare on the news paper front page of mumbai news paper.
    i challenge y cannot.
    hopless stunt for time passing computer show staff.

    BEST — carelessness about bus driver

    we were on a way to malad at around 7.30 am . we were in a car . a bus from a bus stop took the bus cross way . the car from end to first was totally spoilt . the mirror which was few days before broken was hopefully saved. i too was saved. THIS IS A SMALL COMPLAINT BUT IT WILL CAUSE A THREAT OF DRIVING ON MUMBAI STREETS . LIFE IS A DANGER ON MUMBAI STREETS . AS A 16 YEAR GIRL I AM FEELING THREAT OF GOING ON MUMBAI STREETS . WHAT A FUTURE!

      As number of residents on Ghodbunder road (Thane) are increasing, Maharashtra state government should take necessary steps to provide good connectivity with Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.
      Some BEST buses from GB road ply towards vikhroli and powai. I request BEST officials to start service from Ghodbunder to Navi Mumbai as it becomes really hectic to travel to Thane Railway station (10kilometers from Ghodbunder) and catch a jam packed local trains.

        How non cultured are BEST staff are, i dont understand why BEST recruit such a staff who don't have manners to talk and are gunda .

        I was travelling from Wadala to Chandivali in BEST bus no. 411 with my parents, when our stop came we got up from our seat and rushed towards door.but driver didnt stopped the bus because conductor didn't ring the bell. when we asked the conductor he started arguing why should we stop on bus stand if your not standing there. as it was his duty to stop the bus on every stand, then he started arguing and abused me with bad words, as i was with my parents did not do anything, did not want them to get involved. he was a real gunda and was bulling so much, as we dont have any options like complaining about them. we just tolerating this best staffs arrogance .

          I am a Sr. Citizen.I travelled from Goregaon-East to Mayur Nagar by Bus Route No.452 at 12:40 pm on 10/11/12.I paid conductor rs 100/- note and he told me that he will return Rs 90/- afterwards. He gave me Rs 10/- ticket. I forgot to ask him for paying me balance amount and he also did not come to me for paying balance amount.

            Dear Sir,
            My Father Ram Peswani who is a Senior Citizen Travels Everyday from NNP Colony to Goregaon Station by bus for the last six years but during the past few days there is a driver who is very rude towards senior citizens and does not allow them to board the bus from the front gate even though the bus does not originate from that stop. Today also dated 16/10/2012 at morning 9.10 am he was driving bus Route no 327 bus no MH 01LA6887 he did not allow my father and other senior citizens to board the bus from NNP Colony stop and had put a bar on the corridor so that no one enters from the front Gate and when he was questioned he said he does not care about any rule and you can do what ever you want. Sir This type of Rude behavior by your drivers needs to be checked thoroughly considering what had happened in Pune some months back with a MSRTC Bus Driver. Please check that he is not removing his personal frustration on the passengers specially senior Passengers.

              Sir,

              Its been quite frequent that BEST bus (460) that should arrive at Dena Bank Bus Stop, Kandivali(W) at 5:20AM arrives late by 20 minutes. Regular time for this 460 bus is 5:20AM but it frequently comes at 5:40AM. So after 5:00AM bus there is no bus for next 30-40 minutes and then suddenly two buses come. Please take an action against it.

              We all depend on your services and punctuality, if BEST bus comes late that is hampering our entire day as we won't reach office on time and planed schedule gets affected.

              I hope you will put check on above mentioned issue.

                Destination : From Mahim Church

                This is my weekly route atleast twice or thrice from Mahim to Santacruz or (Depot). Asking for 10Rs ticket for maximum limit for my destination he has provided me ticket only till Khar Road inspite telling him thrice he ignored my words and started arguing with me. Which was not my mistake, but he did. Even passengers was against the conductor. He was very rude and agressive.Due to my daily work I have to get down in between as and when the client calls arrived. So I want to get down before Santacruz but the conductor charged me the same fare for Santacruz destination till khar Road.For his rude behaviour and egoistic person please take action against him as soon as possible so that he cannot behave the same with other passengers.

                  Today in the morning i catch 344 no bus no 6943 from kotak it park. I gave 10 rs to conductor for oberoi mall which cost 7 rs, he gave me 10 rs ticket i asked him it cost 7 rs not 10 rs. He gave 3 rs back & not
                  ticket. When i get down ticket checker asked me ticket. I told its with conductor he has not given me & then conductor told nothing like that i myself has not given money & charged me 77 rs as punishment.. This is to bring everyone nitice that never trust anyone in terms of money.

                  I make smart cart they taken rs 25 for that.They also taken 50rs for deposit but they do not tell any customer so I surprise why they taken 50rs for deposit.and not refunded amount.Total loss of rs 75.
                  Why they donot tell before card issued and why they deposit this amount.

                      I have been complaining about a faulty meter which gives very high reading in a guest house for 6 months now. We had to chase the BESt people in wadala continuously till the meter was changed after 5 months. The company was not aware that the meter had been changed though their people had only done it. After 1 month of pestering them, they agreed that the meter was faulty and had been changed. The new meter shows a reading of 1750 from 0 in just 1 month and has given a bill of 18000 in a guest house. Please help us as there is some huge scam. We have overpaid at least[protected] rs to BEST by now and they have no interest in setting things right.

                        The bus route 460 (Ltd) from Gorai to Mulund & vice-versa doesn't have enough frequency at all.., once any particular bus leaves, there's literally a gap of 40-45 min in between the two buses, which causes hell lot of problems during morning time, so request to kindly increase the frequency atleast during the peak hours i.e. morning & evening in order to avoid rush. We have given complaints to Gorai depot, but the staff is least bothered to answer or listen to any of the queries, everytime fake answers are thrown on commuters which wastes lots of time for reaching offices; specially the ones at Powai which is the industrial belt of Mumbai

                        Kindly look into this matter as soon as possible and oblige

                          My AC bus pass was to expire on 12th June, hence I renewed it "online" on 11th June.
                          I even got a receipt of payment on my email ID.
                          When I showed the pass to the conductor on 13th June, he told me that it had expired.
                          On asking him the reason for the renewal not getting reflected, he said that it will get reflected within 4 days & I can use the receipt till then.
                          But when I showed the receipt to the conductor of AS-458 today, he said that he will not accept the receipt & I will have to buy a ticket, for which I refused, since I had already paid Rs. 2050.
                          On this he started using foul language like who had told me to do an online payment, go and complain in the depot, he doesnt care if I have a receipt with me, I might b producing a false receipt since I don't want to pay for the ticket, etc. Is this the kind of language your conductors use for female passengers?
                          And what should be done for the pass which is still showing as expired even after making the necessary online payment?

                          Same thing happened to me I Recharged through online I got receipt and it says renewed when I check status from online it shiwing correct when I go and check with Conductor it says your card is expired I don't know what is best doing?                             Hello,
                            Good Morning,
                            Bus No MH 01 AP 0172, did not stop today at Greenfields, around 9.00 am in morning.
                            This was operating on route 388 from Poisar to Ghatkopar.
                            This is the only AC bus for me to go to Vikhroli and I rely on this to reach office on time.
                            This has been recurssive where driver even after looking at waiting passengers, do not stop.
                            SInce this happens during peak hours, it creates an overload on the next bus and delays people from reaching office in time.

                            Please look into this and take necessary actions to resolve the issue.

                              There is AC bus Facility From Borivali to CBD Belapur,which is for every 30 mins, It starts from morning 8.30 am and then for every thirty minutes.But from past 30 days this bus never comes from 9.00 am to 11.30 am.which means daily they cancel 4 buses that also at that time where every one have to reach offices...as we catch 10.00 am bus regularly , we are facing huge problems because there is no other facility of BEST AC bus from Borivali... kindly look into it and resolve this problem....

                              Suggestion : If one bus is cancelled atleast try to give other on time , but here at a strech 4 buses are been cancelled that also at morning time...

                                Dear Sir./Madam,
                                I had boarded the bus(422 Ac bus) from Bhandup Sonapur(Dr Hedgewar Chowk) bus stop at 9:10 am on 24th May,2012(i.e today). I wanted a ticket till marol depot for which the cost is 45Rs. I had 500 Rs cash with me which I gave to the ticket conductor. He point blankly refused to give me the ticket. I had absolutely no change with me .I requested him to give me the ticket at the end of the journey when he has the change. But, he refused to do so and then removed a bundle of atleast 20 hundred rupees notes and 50 rupees notes from his pocket.This clearly indicates that he did have the change to give me. But when I argued with him about this, he told me BEST does not have the policy to take 500 Rs note. He then forced me to get down at a stop which has sparse bus services. Ultimately I got late for my work and missed an important meeting. I request you to take action against the bus conductor and also let me know if there is any such rule by BEST that they will not accept 500 Rs friom the passengers though tehy have ample amount of change.

                                  Time has come when B.E.S.T transport Mumbai should change its name to W.O.R.S.T transport services. While they do not lose any opportunity to increase the ticket prices exorbitantly, the condition of the buses are going from bad to worse. The seats are torn and the interior never cleaned. You have to carry your own duster to make use of the so called seats. Also, in most of the buses, route numbers are not visible (sometimes written on the side using chalk)and one often misses to catch a bus as it stops only for few seconds in the bus stop and the conductor never responds to poor traveler's queries.

                                  Once upon a time the B.E.S.T was considered as the best service. Unfortunately those days are gone due to complete mismanagement.

                                    However Bus driver refused to take to the stop even though I have got ticket for designated Stop clearly mentioned the ticket.

                                    Attached is the ticket which has the stop name clearly mentioned. Driver made me go to next stop and pay for the fare difference.

                                      Dear Sir,

                                      This is really not acceptable the fare tickets prices of BEST bus which has gone so high, I travel from Vikhroli to Powai till yesterday the fare was Rs.10 & today it has increased to Rs.15 how could they do this how would the commmon afford such an hike.

                                      After paying Rs.15 alsowe have to stand & travel because of Rush.Please look in to the matter.

                                        Yesterday i was travel-ling for my home by b.e.s.t - bus route no - 273 for mhada malvani, but because of conductor fault ticket examiner had charged me and insulted me.
                                        the issue created by the malvani boys - they had pulled the rope of the bus, that time conductor was asking ticket and i had told him to issue ticket but the same time the above mention issue happen and till the time he issue ticket for me it was too late and the ticket examiner came inside the bus to check the ticket, i had explained the same issue with the examiner he directly refuse to agree the fact which i was trying to explain him and started shouting at me and asked me to get down the bus and follow me.he took me to the Malvani Gaikwad Nagar depot and started making the receipt without knowing the fact.
                                        but when i started asking him i have to report the to your senior officer or want to complaint against you people then he told me hey we will clear it - "tell me shall i charge you or issue a ticket", he got afraid, but i denied the same coz already he had insulted me without any reason in front of 25-30 passengers. i have the details of the conductor batch no - 98187 and the b.e.s.t vehicle no - 7124 ticket examiner denied to give the batch no.
                                        this is not just a case of without ticket but also for improvement in the behavior of the public transport staff, which create very disappointing for us.
                                        same issues i had seen ennumber of times in railway as well as in b.e.s.t
                                        hope for immediate response for the same.
