I am writing this complaint post my three months of experience with byjus and the product/service delivered to us. Below are our concern areas.

1. The educational counselor, while selling the product had mentioned that byjus covers ib and igcse syllabus in the app. This was infact assured to us at the time of purchase. However, nowhere in the app there is any reference to both the syllabi.

2. The counselor had also mentioned that a mentor will be allotted to the student in consultation with the parent. Till date, byjus has not shared with us the profile of the mentor, the structure of the student mentor connect and how best the mentor and byjus will be supporting the parents in the student's learning process. There is absolutely no clarity from byjus inspite of asking several questions to the representatives in the last 3 months.

3. The quality of conversations between the mentor and the student has been very low. Apart from mentioning that the student needs to view atleast 1 video per day, there really has been no useful input shared by the mentor.

4. The counselor, at the time of sale had positioned it as a product cum service offering, wherein the app will have the essential video content and the mentor will bring in the personal connect. He had mentioned that the mentor will clarify doubts, review the work completed by the student, share reports and regular feedback on the child's progress. However, apart from us having the access to the learning content on the app, there really is no benefit that we have received from the mentor in the last 2 months.

The videos and the worksheets provided are not very engaging for younger children. The videos are difficult to follow even for adults and therefore children lose interest easily.

Overall, it is extremely disappointing to know that the investment of rs.57, 000 has not been very fruitful for us. Infact we had stopped cuemath classes which were a lot more interactive and content rich so as to sign up for byjus (This too was recommended by the counselor). Overall there has been a decline in the child's interest and skill levels ever since we have subscribed to byju's product/service.

Byju's staff are also not completely aware of the various modules offered in the product and are unable to answer the questions correctly whenever approached.

Their scholarship programs are a marketing tactic. They conduct a test in the schools and when the results come they call parents and mention that since the child has done well in the test, we are offering the byju's learning app at a scholarship rate and that we must make use of the opportunity. Then the counselor comes home and gives all kind of assurances about byju's app and the services and then simply vanish.

Once the product is purchased, there is no way that cancellation or refund is possible. They simply make one's life hell. The number of calls that need to be made, the illogical responses that we receive - they refedine the concept of refund altogether!!. As many have said before, byju's really tests your patience.

    Dear sir/mam
    I got my child, siddhant satish singh enrolled in in std-4th to std-8th in your courses through your executive ms. Pracheta. I have fulfilled all the necessities and also paid the fee in full of rs65, 000/-.

    At the time of discussion with your executive at our home, we have clearly asked her that in case my child will lost interest in this course then whether any refund procedure is available? She replied "yes" and also said that we will defiantly refund your full amount what ever have been deducted.
    We were very clear about this procedure and your executive had assured us that there will be no issue regarding this.

    Nearly after one month of enrollment we notice that siddhant is losing his interest and then we had approached to pracheta through her cell no [protected] and to our surprise she straight away denied that she had ever promised her about refund.

    Sir/mam, rs 65000/- is huge amount how can we invest if we had not been assured about refund? It means she had just make false promises to just get business in her name. I can understand that she is doing marketing but this is related to study/future of my child, i can use this money for my child future.
    So its my humble request you to please consider my cancellation and refund my full amount of rs. 65000/- we are middle class family and rs. 65000 is huge amount so please do the needful.

    One more request is please ask your executives to be transparent while dealing with parents because this might be business for you but for parents it is not. They have to invest hard earned money which are means for their kids.
    Once again i request you humbly that please do the needful.

      Based on TV and Paper Ads, I have put my daughter in Byju's for PCMB-2 course during her 12th std. However due to school schedule such as special classes and revision tests, she was not able to continue with Byju's. She went for 3 months and later we went and explained our situation with Byju's at Anna Nagar, Chennai office and have been asked to send message to CANCELLATION DESK. i have sent more than 10 messages but no response and CAPITAL FLOAT (Finance) is debiting us every month.
      THERE IS NO BASIC COURTESY TO RESPOND EMAIL. THEIR BASIC IDEA IS TO CHEAT STUDENTS THIS WAY AND GET MONEY TO RUN THEIR COMPANY/LIFE. THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO EARN BUT NOT WITH STUDENTS EDUCATION.

        I have purchased byjus product. Their executive was so polite till he sell the product. He said it is possible to cancel and refund i[censored] dont like too. Continuously i am calling them for support and technical clarification. No one responded properly till date. Emi is going from my bank and the product is not working from the day 7. I need refund.           Please stop ecs of byjus because we have already cancelled the order on 19 december 2018, and they are processing our cancellation request and assured us they will cancel it asap and will refund the deducted amount. We would like to inform you that we have already closed linked bank account so please stop the ecs asap. Byjus team will coordinate with you as we have informed the same to them also.

          I opted Byjus on May 12th, 2020. My EMI started on July 7th, 2020. My Monthly EMI is of Rs.3750. Each month on 7th the amount is deducted from my bank account. I missed one of my EMI on Sep 7th, 2020. That too I paid off on Sep 12th, 2020 through Gpay. I missed my 2nd EMI on June 7th which was my last EMI & my loan for 12 months to get ended. But due to lockdown & financial crisis I was not able to pay the EMI. Also, I informed this to the concerned team. But after informing still they presented ECS MANDATE & it got dishonoured. Due to which my bank has deducted the dishonoured charge of Rs. 300. In this financial crisis I lost my money of Rs.300 pn Jun 7th, 2021. I paid the June month EMI on July 5th, 2021. After paying off the Last EMI still they presented the ECS MANDATE on July 7th, 2020 on my bank account & I lost my Rs.300. Such a indecent and cruel response from Byjus. First of all, if we missed any of the payment, then they starts torturing us by calling daily 30 - 50 times. The calling time starts from exactly 8 am till night 8 pm. I have never see no such a tortuous Company. What is the difference between the money lender and this do called Byjus learning platform company? There's no difference at all. Everyone are killing and torturing the customer daily. Why the government can't see this? Why there is no action taken against these Byjus company? Ultimately, we middle class people are suffering due to Covid Pandemic and lockdown. I wanted the government to involve in this matter & take action against this ECS MANDATE & torturing from Byjus learning platform. This Byjus company must be sue and punished by the government. My foot Byjus system generated calls. What are they trying to prove? Are they really helping kids in education or really torturing the parents ? Byjus must be severely punished
          I want to cancel my admission, I have complained many times to Byjus for refund and cancellation of admission but no response has come till now.This month they also cut my emi despite my complaint, so I want my refund. from last 4 month I had called Byjus and mailed them for cancelation my son never get online class and I have to Paid every month .

            We have taken byjus learning product for class 9 to 12 and sales executive told us that the product will be guide by a counsellor and product will be customized as per child's ability to grasp the chapter easily. But when we received the product it was not as per commitment. Then we follow up with institution to cancel and return our money. But no body is helping and listening to us. Above all now capital float is pressuring us to make payments of emi. Please take back your tablet and we want our money back.

              We have taken online program but mentor/marketing team without our knowledge offered tab to the child, he transferred the amount and in return they gave a old and used tab to him in the absence of parents at home, i raised several complaints but no use asking them please collect this tab back and remit the amount back.

                The marketing executive forced a lot to opt for the course and mentioned that we can cancel it if don't want to continue further. I want to cancel my agreement from start of program byjus but your company is not accepting my request. We are not able to afford this course and really want to cancel this agreement. My child found it not worth. They are threatening us with issuing legal notice. This is not good as company policy. We want to cancel this agreement asap.

                  A Byju counsellor came to our home for free counselling. We agree to take it. In December month Byju team member came and fill the form but not say which tablet selected in it. December endinending I got study material and found lenova 7 inch tablet. I call counsellor I want 10 inch tablet. So he told me you pay extra MoneyMonet. I agree and send extra money for tablet. on 24th January I paid money. After 1 month till I do not get tablet . I called call centre but they said only we talked management. They call you. But they don't solve my problem .I daily call them but no any response from them.

                    I applied for byjus course under the influence of the counsellor we got it about to 9 sept and i was not satisfied with the course so i told them to take it away within the period of time. The period of time was 15-22 days. We told them by making a phone call they told us that our complain is registered and they wil get it back soon but now they are refusing it that we didn't informed them on time and it is now impossible to take it back away. We could not afford it as we are suffering from financial problem due to my husband and me are medically ill and my son are not learning from it. Please solve my problem and cancel my order. We are human and we know human. On the good faith of the counsellor we take decision but i am unable to pay emi due to great crisis of fund. Lack of earning i can't pay any amount. Please consider as soon as possible. Please stop bank transaction.

I am alone and can't afford installments of byujs also and met with accident so zero earning. Please cancel my agreement and any way. My husband is cardiac patient and earning a little.                         We have received the byjus product for class 7th to 10th. I had given so many requests to cancel the product after 25 days. We need to pay the amount for 5 emi's and the amount is 58000 and we paid 6000 rs initial amount. Finally we are not interested to continue with this product, because my child will be join in hostel and they will not allow any tabs inside school hostel. I was tried to call the customer care they are not taking care.

                        We are unhappy with this product and totally fraud business plan to cheat parents.

                          I have purchased a course from byju's for my daughter and we have received tab with added course on it on 04.02.2019, she tried to learn by using you app on tab but she is not comfortable with that and she refuse to study with this.
                          So as we request you to take your product back and refund our payments.
                          I have following up for my refund since 2 days but no one is replying for refund. I have send back tab to byju's office addres location
                          2nd floor, tower d, ibc knowledge park, bannerghatta main road, bengaluru, karnataka, india - 560029. They stated threatening that you have to use tab as we will not refund your money.
                          Byju's is not working on principle of customer is king. If you do not change your policy of refund then it will harm you business model. It will effect you on social media. India is country where you have to listen to customer. Else if you make money important then customer then you will lose your business in future.

                            I had purchased the ias course of byju's, and got my tablet and materials on 31st of december and a few days later in two packages. Even though i called for the first time on 7th of jan to return the product, they didn't give any response. The whole customer care was lethargic in their response and only after the 15-20 days window was over, did i get a definitive response. That too was after having requested and pleaded with them for over 10-15 days. And guess what the response was. As i had surpassed the 15 days window, the return was impossible. Then i talked to my guide on byju's and she also told me the same thing. Then they offered me the course of 2021 (I had bought the course of 2020) along with the existing course for no extra fee and i agreed on the sole basis that i will have to pay the emis during the 2020-21 period and not 2019-20 period. But in feb, the monthly emi was auto-debited from my bank a/c and after querying with my guide, i got to know that they can't change the emi tenure or delay the payment, even after promising me to do so. Then she told me to contact my bank to convert the existing 12 month emi to 24 month emi. Over the whole experience with byju's, i feel cheated. They told me that any one in their return team will call me within four hours, every time that i called. But sometimes no one called, and on other times, i was asked to mention all the details again and again and they pretended like they were listening to this matter for the first time. Now, 55000 is not a small amount by any means. And how can you dupe a customer by not accepting return requests within your return window and then saying that you can't return as the window is over? Please help me.

                              It's so long period.

                                I have been purchase tab for my son from byjus, they told me that they map my school book in tab but when i get tab it was not as per commitment, i'll give back to byjus person with in 10 days. As per company policy tab should be return with in 15 days, when i pressurized byjus person then they take back after 10 days. At 21/1/19. From that day i make more then 75 call to concern person of co to refund and cancellation of my tab but they not taking any action and not giving clear answer.

                                Please help me to take back my rs.12500. And cancellation of the product.

                                  I have taken byju's product for class 9 and the marketing man told us that the product is mutual for both side, i. E if we will not interested then within 15days the product will returned back or if the institute will see that the product is not used properly byju's will returned back. After so many follow up to institute to returned it but the institute is not taking back and giving allegation that 15 days already over and the same payable in emi. We have already told to deduct the suitable amount for class 9 and returned back the amount. The company is cheating and the marketing man are cheating. No body is helping and simply cheating for money only. The product is not a helpful product and simply wastage of money only

                                    Received the product on december 18 as per the agreement of 15 days trial.. On december 28th (10th day) i have called my sales person but no answer, so i informed him through whatsapp message for my cancellation. He confirmed that he had informed to bangalore team and no response after few days and no response for my calls and not picked. After some days messaged me that he will check and get back to me. Again no response for my messages..

                                    When i informed to mentor about this but they informed that we have not received cancellation notice before 15 days, hence we can't do anything and asked to contact the sales person. But sales person is not picked the calls and no response.. They are not taking any action against sales person and not solution for my complaint..

                                    When i reject the product initially, the sales person was pushed me to use this product for 15 days and return the product because of his sales performance would be affected. His motive only for sales and no customer support. * now it is clear.. *

                                    From zest money (Emi payment partner for byju's) they informed that auto debit is failure for some reason for my account and asked to pay manually. But for last month suddenly emi debited automatically.. Cheated everywhere around byju's

                                      My son downloaded the byju's app and started studying on it initially. Post few days i got a call from byju's to avail the premium subscription. Few days later a counsellor from byju's came to our house and he told us about the course for the students we were impressed by that and he told me that if we bought the course it would be very helpful for my son studies.

                                      So we agreed for taking that course of class 6 to 10 then he told it would cost 80000 inr post he did analysis of my kid. Thankfully our initial payment failed for the full amount and then he suggested that we should lock this offer by paying 10000 in cash and can pay the rest in emi's. Therefore we agreed and gave him 10000 inr cash to procure the offer. As of now we have paid them 10000 and 1st emi of 5000 inr.

                                      However post few days my son stopped studying on the same and we requested to cancel the subscription becuse my son is not showing any interest in the app. To which we were told that it can only be cancelled within the first 15 days of availing the services which was never told to us at all. We were told that byju's analyse the study pattern by the mentors and would be automatically cancelled by the mentor if my son is not shorwing any response or improvements.

                                      I tried to contact their customer service team several times explaining that this is a subscription and i should be able to cancel it anytime however nothing so far from them at all.

                                      We were also told there would be onboarding/welcome calls from byju's and a mentor would be assigned to my kid but till date i have not got a welcome call or a mentor call to talk to my son. The only time i had conversation with byju's is when i was trying to talk to them for refunds.

                                      Looking at the complaints regarding the same on forums i could foresee this is a shady product where byju's just want to make money with no refund policies. I will not pay for the services so stop sending me sms or calls, even if i have to cancel my bank account.

                                      Get this sorted or i would take a legal case against byju's and it's shady schemes. Even a small product comes with 30 to 90 days money back guarantee whereas your product just comes with 15 which is not even told.

                                      Additional 18 days has passed ... the only thing i have heard from BYJU's is messages asking for payments ... I dont think BYJU's understand the concept of customer service.

                                      All they need is the hard earned money from people. Atleast waiting for a reply.

                                        After multiple forced sales, i brought the subscription for my son for class 4 to 8, after few days i found product not making sense and it no way meeting the requirements. I called on 15th day and sent a mail on 17 the day, but refund is denied
