From 11 am there is no electric supply
I called more than 10 times but they didn't come for checking the problem
We are suffering from 11 am and till yet no one come from cesc office
I called in customer care 10 times but they only said yes sir we are taking complaint against your issue
We will solve your issue very shortly
See from 13 hrs they have given 3 docket number but still no one came

How can we give good feedback for cesc
Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation [CESC] customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
I called more than 10 time to the CESC LTD.
But still not a single man come for checking the problem
Really we r very very disappointed by this
But nothing doing we need light that's y we are with cesc Ltd
But it's very shamefull thing consumer complaining against cesc Ltd
In my family there is 1 old lady she is 78 yrs old, I inform them sir plz plz help us we need light its going to be 12 hrs but they didnt take any action against this issue
so now i M requesting to consumercomplaints.in to take strict action against cesc Ltd.

    Sub : fault not rectified as promised from the de and misbehavior on your part and that of your
    Emergency support staff

    This is to bring to your notice the following :

    A) there was disruption in power supply in my house on 30/3/16 and i informed through the helpline number
    B) the support staff arrived and misbehaved and though i could observe that the meter was in ok condition and informed them but they completely ignored and sealed the meter from further usage and informed me to visit this office the following day and pay for damaged meter
    C) i remember to have met you and after several persuasion you agreed to send in your personnel to verify the facts and assured to replace the meter if it is ok and had it not burnt out or damaged
    D) another set of technicians informed that the meter was ok and restored connection hence my predictions was correct and it also proved that your support personnel who visited the previous day was incorrect in their findings and i suffered as a result
    E) as per your promise you were supposed to replace the meter and changed the old wirings but instead you threatened me to disconnect my connection which i have been using for the last thirty years !
    F) further i pointed out the anomaly in the bill for consumer no. [protected] where the load is showing as 1.0 kva or 0.8 kw which is a contrast since i have paid deposit in may 2007 to enhance the load and the helpline no. Promised to rectify it in the next bill

    Thus basis above please inform

    A) on what basis my meter was sealed off on 30.04.16 & on what basis it was restored the following day ?
    B) when you will be replacing the meter with associated wirings for which i have sent you a written communication in june 2015 and followed up with several reminders ? I believe you were supposed to do this when i enhanced the load in may 2007
    C) on what basis did you threaten me to disconnect my connection ? Are you competent enough to comment on electrical wirings – in that case you need to point it out rather than misbehave with a customer in distress

    I understand that presently cesc is changing the old cutout alongwith mcv switch and hence i would need you do the needful at the earliest as the onus lies on cesc for upkeep and maintenance and as per above submissions you may want to consider to write me an apology letter

      After making e-payment of the said amount on the due date I have yet to receive the e-receipt. Actually after the payment in the the normal course the receipt is generated soon after, but this time it got stuck. BILL_CESC_REF No is FSBI[protected].

      Kindly help.

        This is to draw your kind attention that today I have got the electricity bill in the name of Shreya Gautam BL-B, 5 Despran Sasmal Road Kol-700108, and for the 3rd time in a row we are getting abnormal electricity bill (7500/= near about per month which is increasing per month last bill was of Rs 23000/= clubbed together) which is not at all possible with 10-12 tubelights, 4 fans, 3 computers and 1 inverter. We had also made a complaint to CESC regarding this, but from our point of view we are getting negative response.

          I have paid February, 2016 bill of amount Rs.260/- through Paytm Gateway. In Paytm status shown as successful and receipt also has been generated. But then we receive a sms from CESC declaring payment not done and bank to be contacted. But from bank I also receive a sms which says that the said amount is deducted successfully.My transaction detail is as follows:

          Please find the attached Transaction Slip

          Please let us know the amount actually credited in CESC A/c or not, because i have also
          received transaction receipt from your end as per trial mail..


          If the amount not credited CESC A/c, I have to be claim the money from
          Paytm..

                I've already deposited bill amt of Rs 530 for cons no [protected] & another amt of Rs 780 for cons no [protected] on 14/0/2016. Though your system generated a confirmation of your company's receiving. But 3 sms came as the non-receipt of bill amt Rs 780.                   This is to bring to your notice and also to place on record a very peculiar situation I am to face due to the apathy of your service engineers.

                  Some days back, I had lodged a complaint, docket no. [protected] when the wires connecting my meter to my main switch broke.

                  Since then, I have had my meter replaced on installing an air conditioner. Both sets of engineers have advised me to have the wires connecting the meter to my mains replaced immediately as to avoid any hazard/disaster.

                  In the event of my undertaking such repairs myself I leave myself open to charges of tampering.

                  While both engineers agreed it was their job, neither agreed to undertake the work.

                  Kindly have this matter examined and rectified early, as this is a potential disaster waiting to happen.

                              We are out of station for the last six months, and will be for a few more months.
                              The electricity meters are inside the Land lady’s premises. She is also out of station.
                              We have received high power consumption bill. This is putting a strain on our meager financial resources.
                              You will surely agree that, we are being taxed for an issue we have no control on.
                              Requesting you to do the needful to avoid any further exorbitant bills-till we return back to Kolkata.

But i received message from my bank that Rs 850 and 940 were spent from debit card . tried to contact helpline no but could not reach them.                                       I tried to pay my electric bill and paid 580 INR for December bill. This time also money was deducted and payment from my SBI account was shown successful. But then browser showed some error. I again checked but found that receipt of payment is not given in cesc website. It again gives the option to pay bill instead of receipt when I entered my consumer Id. Details of transaction:

                                        My customer ID is [protected]. I had paid bill amount for Rs.720/- on 05/02/2016 thorugh Billdesk. The said amount has been devited from my SBI Bnk amount vide Ref No.IG08LCNBY6. But the payment is not reflected in your portal. Billdesk is not attending my talephone thanks to their callous attitude.towards customer.
