The complaint is marked as resolved when a company has responded to the complainant, addressed his or her dissatisfaction, and came to an agreement where both parties agreed that the complaint is indeed resolved. However, a complaint can be automatically marked as resolved if a complainant isn't responding or updating a complaint for 30 days after the company has tried to reach the complainant.

Arbitrary increase in interest rate

Address:Bangalore, Karnataka

I took a housing loan of 12 lacs from Can FinHomes Ltd. Bangalore in[protected]
at 8.5% fixed rate against then prevailing floating rate of 7.5%. In July 2007 they hiked the rate of interest to 11% citing a silent clause in the agreement, i.e. "unforesenn and unexceptional market conditions". Now they have fixed rate of interest at 10.25%. Arbitrarily they have converted the loan from fixed to floating rate of their own. Even...

Housing Loan at fixed rate

I had taken a housing loan of Rs.12 lacs from Can Fin Homes Ltd., which was disbursed between Oct.05 to Oct.06. The rate selected was fixed rate at 8.5% against floating rate of 7.25%. In July 2007 they started charging 11%, which has now come down to 10.25%. My point is when I have selected fixed rate, how can they charge a higher rate? They cite a clause in the agreement saying that in case o[censored]nforeseen or extra ordinary changes in the...

Prepayment Charges.

I had taken a housing loan in March'2004 from CanFin Homes Limited, a subsidiary of Canara Bank. As per my loan sanction letter, there would only be a prepayment charges @3% in case of the loan libility is taking over by any other financial / lending institution.

Now in June'2008, I closed this loan account by depositing the outstanding amount arranged from my own savings including my General Providend Fund (GPF)...

Home Loan interest hike

Me and my wife had jointly taken two home loans from Can Fin Homes Ltd @9 and 8% Fixed Rate from its Noida branch. Recently we have come to know that they have hiked the interest rate to 11% for both the accounts. I do not know how they can increase the rate of interest when it is a 'fixed rate'.
I have sent messages to Noida branch, but they do not reply my message. My messages to Grievance redressal cell come back to me...
