Dear Sir/Madam,

I am Abraham Vijay. I booked a Chevrolet Beat 1.0 Base, Morrocan Blue at KLN MOTOR AGENCIES PVT.LTD. Kilpauk, Chennai 600010 and I am TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED with the customer service and product.

Here is the abstract of the HARASSMENT that happened…

Mr. K. Chakkaravarthy, Sr. Sales Consultant, was our first point of communication with KLN Motors. The finalized on-road price was Rs. 5,10,666/-. The booking was done on 27th December, 2011. Amount Paid: Rs. 13,666/-. I applied a Car Loan in Axis Bank and a Loan Amount of Rs. 3,76,000/- was sanctioned on 27th December, 2011. Subtracting the Processing Fees Rs. 2000/-, the Loan Amount of Rs. 3,74,000/- was paid to KLN Motors on 29th December, 2011. I paid the full and final payment on 31st December, 2011. Amount Paid: Rs. 1,23,000/- .
So, the total payment was completed on 31st December, 2011. (Rs. 13,666/- + Rs. 3,74,000/- + Rs. 1,23,000/- = Rs. 5,10,666/-).

The Registration Date was fixed on 4th January, 2012 at Ayanavaram, RTO, at 12:00PM. I reported at the Ayanavaram RTO at 12:00PM and the Sr. Sales Consultant, Mr. K. Chakkaravarthy, asked me to contact Mr. Yuvaraj and gave his mobile no. I contacted Mr. Yuvraj and went to the spot where KLN Motor Cars were parked for registration. Two Chevrolet Beat Cars were there. Unfortunately, the car alloted to me was not there. When I discussed with the drivers of the other 2 cars and Mr. Yuvraj, they were doubtful about my Morrocan Blue Beat. The driver said that a Morrocan Blue Beat was in the Yard and the car alloted to me may be in the showroom and may come directly from showroom. At about 1:00PM, the RTO inspection started. I called Mr. K. Chakkaravarthy, he told that the car alloted to me was on the way from yard. At about 1:15PM, the RTO inspection was about to be completed and the drivers of the other 2 cars told that Registration of the car alloted to me may not be possible on that day if the car reaches after the inspection. I called Mr. K. Chakkaravarthy, he told that the car alloted to me was on the way from yard and will reach within 10 minutes. At about 1:30PM, the RTO inspection was over. Now, I got a call from Mr. K. Chakkaravarthy, he told that the car alloted to me was in the yard and since they had no drivers, it was not possible for them to bring the car alloted to me for registration. What a lame excuse? Is it ethical to treat a customer like this? When I questioned him, he said that he didn’t get proper information and he asked me to come to the showroom and contact some manager. He is an executive from KLN Motors, if he is not getting proper information from his company, you can imagine, what communication would have been given to me. Moreover, why should I go to the showroom and contact some manager. For this kind of blatant customer harassment, I should have immediately received a call from some Customer Relations Manager in KLN Motors BUT I was asked to come to the showroom and contact the manager. Isn’t it blatant customer harassment? I definitely had serious doubts about the quality of the car alloted to me. I went directly to the showroom and Mr. K. Chakkaravarthy was not present. Some sales manager came and gave lame excuses and said that he was not aware that I was waiting in the RTO office. I wasted 4hrs (11:30AM to 3:30PM) due to the negligence of KLN Motors. I definitely expect an explanation, a solution, and a compensation.

On 5th January we had a look at the vehicle allotted to us. When we started complaining about the dirt in the car, the immediate response was, ”We will deliver a 100% perfect car in pakka condition without any defect. So, there was nothing to worry about the vehicle before delivery”. It was like saying, “Now you shut up; the vehicle will be perfect during delivery”. The registration was completed on 5th January and on 6th January I reported to the KLN Motors showroom at 1:00PM for delivery. During the inspection I was NOT satisfied with the product. The product was not a perfect one. I was able to find some extra WELDING done in few spots that is different from all the other Chevrolet Beat Cars in the showroom. When I questioned about this, Mr. K. Chakkaravarthy, told that I should ask the manufacturer. What a funny Reply! It is the dealer’s responsibility to give a perfect product during delivery. If there is something wrong, the dealer should contact the manufacturer and give a solution. How can the dealer’s representatives, ask customers to contact the manufacturer. Isn’t it blatant customer harassment? I was told by Mr. K. Chakkaravarthy that a Manager, Mr. Babu, will come and meet us in 10 minutes. I waited for 30 minutes and then I got the Mobile # of Mr. Babu and contacted him. He said that it will take another 60 minutes for him to reach the showroom and he had already told Mr. K. Chakkaravarthy that it will take 90 minutes for him to the showroom. What is this? I was made to wait 30 minutes for a person who is going to come after 90 minutes but FALSE information was given to me by Mr. K. Chakkaravarthy that Mr. Babu will reach in 10 minutes. I still had to wait another 15 minutes and then Mr. A. S. Rajanpaul, CRM/Trainer, came and inspected the vehicle. He accepted that the vehicle is not a perfect one and it took another 30 minutes for him to make all the verifications. Finally, he concluded that from his experience and workshop information, it is not a vehicle that had met with any accident but with some minor defect and offered the vehicle for delivery. I am not bothered about how the vehicle had that defect. I just want a perfect vehicle. I am not buying a vehicle with a defect with a 1lakh or 2lakhs discount. I have paid the entire on-road price with Rs.0/- discount and hence I expect a perfect vehicle without any defect. I am sure that my expectation is just and justified. Finally I rejected the vehicle with a So-called minor defect and Mr. A. S. Rajanpaul, CRM/Trainer, told that he would talk to GM and get back to me with the solution. I wasted another 3 hours on 6th January.

I discussed with the Technical Support Executive, Mr. Manikandan. I am not satisfied with the reasons and explanations given by him. Moreover, the reasons and explanations given by him had serious flaws. If the welding was done to give extra strength, why was this extra strength not given to the corresponding spot in the left hand side and in every other Chevrolet Beat in the Showroom? This obviously raises serious doubts about the quality of the car that is allotted to me.

On 11th January, 2012, Mr. S. Kumar, offered the service package, “Chevrolet Promise Cashless Ownership”, (Rs. 17,500/-, additional 7 service), free of cost as a special case.
On 12th January, 2012, Mr. Badrinath, from General Motors, offered a 3 year free maintenance including the cost of consumables such as engine oil, etc and accessories such as brakes, etc along with the offer given by Mr. S Kumar. Mr. Badrinath said, “You will have to spend only for fuel for the next 3 years”. This obviously means that all the consumables and accessories are covered.

I also had an unfruitful meeting with the top management of KLN Motors on 13th January, 2012 at the KLN Motors Kilpauk Showroom. The director told that the vehicle had no problems. I am not asking a Chevrolet Beat with a golden sword. I just want a vehicle like every other Chevrolet Beat without the extra welding. I want a vehicle without a defect. If it is not possible for KLN Motors to deliver a new vehicle without any defect, I request KLN Motors to convey the same ASAP and refund any amount paid till now (along with the processing and service charges). I am least bothered about the magnitude of the defect or whether it will affect the performance.

Even a dent in the body of the car will not affect the performance but will any customer accept a new car with a dent? It is definite that the car has gone through some extra patch work to cover up some defect. So the vehicle that was allotted to me is a defective vehicle.

We discussed 2 possible solutions in the meeting.
1. I suggested that KLN motors should deliver a new vehicle without a defect. KLN Motors did not agree and rejected my suggestion.
2. KLN Motors suggested that I should accept the vehicle with a defect along with the free extended service that Mr. S. Kumar and Mr. Badrinath offered. I did not agree and rejected their suggestion as this suggestion does not ensure the safety of the car.

Moreover, KLN Motors is not ready to deliver a vehicle without a defect. With a vehicle that has a defect, how can a company say that it is ready to deliver the vehicle? I also want the Loan to be put on hold. There is no point in paying the EMIs without the vehicle. EMIs should be calculated only with reference to the date of vehicle delivery. If not, the dealer, KLN Motors, who is responsible for the delay in delivery, should compensate the Loan interest.

I definitely want an explanation for the bad customer service, a solution for the vehicle with the defect, and this being my first car, all my dreams were shattered by KLN and hence I demand a compensation for the harassment and shattering my dreams.

    Hi,

    I have booked Chevrolet BEAT Diesel LS from Autovikas sales and services P Ltd,Ring Road,New Delhi.Initially i was promised for Delivery on 15th January 2011 for 2011 model and it was not delivered on time,then i was promised delivery on 20th Jan for 2012 model which has been now extended to 27th January. Earlier i applied for a car loan from ICICI bank as delivery date committed was next day and i dint want to delay the process,but now as the delivery has been delayed i told them that i don,t need a car loan and will make cash payment for same.But now instead of cancelling the loan they are telling me that now i have to take the delivery of car and loan cant be cancelled.i have confirmed from the Bank also they are saying that no disbursement has been done from their side till now.
    And when i asked for the person's name with whom the dealership is interacting in ICICI Bank they refused to tell me the name of the concerned person.

    And I have booked Beat Diesel LS model but now i want to upgrade to LT model which the dealer is saying is not possible as the car has been dispatched but at the same time they are not showing any documents for same.While booking the car they used to call me on phone and majority of things were discussed on phone only and now they are saying that they cant do anything on phone and i have to visit the dealership.When i visited the dealership on Sunday Jan 22nd they told me that they cant do anything as there is no one in the office because of sunday,and above all they are telling me that now i am bound to buy the car at any cost and trying to dominate the customer.As i am working in Gurgaon,it is not possible for me to come back during working hours and i cant take leave for this and when i visited the showroom on sunday they tried to make stupid excuses which were not realistic.

    Now i have decided not to take the delivery of car and to approach consumer forum because the kind of answers that i have got from the dealership are not satisfying and very rude.
    This is the worst experience one can ever have.If there are so many problems before buying the car then one can imagine what kind of problems will occur after sale.

    I PURCHASE BEAT-LT (PETROL) ON 16th FEB. 2011. THIS VEHICLE HAVE THE MANUFACTURING DEFECTS. 1. MILLAGE IS 11 Kms. /Lt, WHICH IS VERY MUCH LESS. 2. FRONT BUMPER IS CRACK WHICH IS MANUFACTURING DEFECT. 3. SHOCKERS MAKE NOISE DURING RUNNING AND NOT SHOCKS THE LOAD.

    I HAVE WRITTEN TO THE COMPANY, BUT NO REPLY TILL DATE. THE WORKSHOP REPRESENTATIVE ARE NOT READY TO LOOK THE MATTER. I AM REQUESTING YOU TO KINDLY SOLVE THIS MATTER AT YR END.

      Fed up of repeated visit to the service center due to the same reasons as Dr Jimish Modi Send email on Aug 12, 2009

      1. There was a lot of rattling noise in the cabin when the car was running.
      2. The suspension was also rattling as if it was loose.
      3. The dash board was also creaking & rattling.
      4. Everytime the car turned to left or right esp worsened when the car passed over a very small pot hole or raised road joint; there was a loud metal
      clanking noise.
      5. The rattling would get worse if the car went on paver block roads or even a small pot hole on the road & road joints.
      6. Engine vibration felt in cabin

        I gave my car for 5000 kms service on 10/01/2012. I told them about bad fuel efficienty and one tyre loosing pressure very fast. They returned my car after the service telling that all the problems has been fixed. On 14/01/2012 I lost control of my car while driving due to flat front left tyre. Later found that fuel efficienty problem was not fixed too. When I called them today to take the vehicle to fix the problem they refused to do so. I could have got killed due to their negligence. Please ask them to fix the problem they neglected during service.

          I gave my car for 5000kms service on[protected] and explained the two major problems that One Tyre is loosing pressure very fast and I am getting very less fuel efficiency of 14kmpl in city. After service they told me that they have fixed everything.
          On[protected] afternoon, I was going for shopping. During driving when I applied brakes, I lost the control of my car and was about to collide with a wall. I noticed, it was because front left tyre was almost running flat. I could have got killed due to their negligence. Later I found that even fuel efficiency problem was not fixed.

          I talked to the service station guy and they were not ready to come and take the car to fix the problem.

          I don't want to get killed by using the car full of problem. I want them to fix the problem without causing any convenience to me or take their car back and return my hard earned money if they can't service it properly.

          Trident guys are telling they are overloaded because Sundaram motors closed its service center.

          The Trident management should have a look on it...Now a days the service by Trident is very poor.. It was very good until last year...

          They took 4 days for the service and the service manager is not attending the problems (warrenty issues) and they have sent my vehicle just washing and changing oil.

            Dear Sir,

            This is to inform you that, my vehicle Chevrolet Beat diesel LS registration no UK 06 u 2434 was damaged in road accident in bhavnagar Gujarat dtd on 30th mid night.
            after that i have given my vehicle in V. Raj motor bhavnagar.
            he promised me to provide my vehicle on 10th but till date not given my vehicle.
            also i got information on 10th whatever spare parts required to repair my vehicle , dealer placed on 6th means he is sitting ideally for 5 day.
            due to this i have lost my various business deal.
            today also i have contacted to agency owner but also he not given any response.
            i dont know how we can manage this.
            so it is requested with u plz help me on this matter.
            i am waiting for ur favorable prompt reply.

              but till date no any status of my vehicle.
              regarding this also register my complain in cutomer care chevrolet regarding this also send mail to Chevrolet GM but no any proper feed back.
              due to this facing lots of problems.

                I have brought a new spark car in May 2011 from Ram Hari Motors. From the first day some tick tick sound is coming from the dash board which i have shown in first service to Ram hari Motors but they did not trace out the problem and sorted it. After that i have shown it in second service to Jai Shree Motors kangra which also did not trace out the problem. I have also registered complaint in Jai Shree motors and they promised to send company engineer to check the problem but still nobody has attended the complaint. Now with time very loud sound is coming from the dashboard which also disturb during driving so you Pl look into the matter and resolve the problem.

                  Greetings,We RR Travels, Golden Jubilee Organization from Mannargudi, Tamilnadu, India. We are using your Tavera from the very beginning of your launch. We are running number of Chevrolet Tavera in our Travel Agency. We are having Permanent Mechanic in our company.

                  As our vehicles are continuously running for travel agency, we don’t have time to get our vehicle to your service station which is so far from our place. Whenever we have some minor mechanical problems in our vehicle, we have to travel for more than 150 km to get your spare parts to your dealer. Although we are not getting our vehicle to dealers, they are billing the spares with labor charge. Is it fair?

                  If we take our vehicle for minor issues, we are losing our customers for our travel agencies. As we already having Permanent Mechanics in our company, again labor charge is Loss for our company. And also fuel is getting wasted which is the rare resource now-a-days. More than anything, our time is getting lost.

                  So, we need an action for this issue. We want spares in market. If you feel, it would lead to adulteration in your product; provide us Spare without Labor Charge from your dealers. So, please take necessary action.

                  We need some response regarding this issue.

                    I have been going for my regular service of my Uva aveo vehicle to Regent Motors faridabad but the service extended to the vehicle is not at all upto the standards of General Motors . It looks as if you are visiting any of the local village workshops .The staff is the most discourteous. and the service rendered for the vehicle is bad and of poor quality

                      To whom may concern ,

                      Metro Chevrolet In New Delhi (Vasant Kunj ) is working unserius. I bought car 1 month before ,and i bring it to service last sunday. They told me ok that will fix till thursday . But now they're realising they didnt started to work on car yet. Its just lying on the service department. Today is sunday,past 7 days, do nothing.
                      When I call the person who is my contact from Chevrolet, I purchased car from him. He says its not my department and responsibility. What i supposed to do , i need to check with Service guys one by one, and they're only speaks Hindi. As a customer, who is my contact person from the company, he need to follow and help me about. When i try to call they're not picking up phones,when they picked up giving phone to another person and laughing behind! What serius service we're getting from Chevrolet. I need to give back to car to Chevrolet cause i'm not getting any service ,support, even answer .

                      I totally agree, Metro Chevrolet is giving extremely worst services to me since last 1 yr & 3 months. They are very casual. The quality of the parts & services are really bad...I will recommend not to buy "CHEVROLET SPARK" and any car specially from Metro Chevrolet...they always pass on the responsibility, and not at all a reliable place to do even servicing.

                        i got a below mail notification from Chevrolet Program that i won a contest but i think this is fraud bcs the passport detail for their representer Dr. Jim .W. Ford seems to be incorrect Passport : B0511201, i am not sure if his arrival detail is also correct whether that person actuallt fluen from UK or not, here is his itinerary, could you please help me, my contact detail is Aftab R Shaikh : [protected]

                          I purchased a Chevrolet Beat 1.2 LT on July 15, 2011. Upon usage of the car I
                          realized that the same had inherent problems from day one:

                          1.

                          There a prominent banging noise coming out from the rear of the car.
                          The Mileage of the car is very poor 8 kms (approx.) per liter of petrol.

                          2.

                          The Senior Sales Manager at the Dealership confirmed that the mileage at 8 km
                          per litre initially is alright and same will improve to around 12 later. The mileage
                          of 18 km mentioned in the brochure is never achieved and is only as per test
                          conditions of ARAI. One of their sales representative mentioned that the resale
                          value of the car would be Rs. 3.50 Lac, a loss of more than 1.50 Lac in one month
                          and 700 km!! The dealers kept the car for a long time confirming my opinion that
                          the car came with inherent defects and my requests of refund have fallen on deaf
                          ears.

                            We have purchased a new Chevorlet Beat-LT Diesel Car From Regent Automobiles Faridabad on 30th Sept-2011 and after running 5 days the rear right back tubeless tyre get blasted and the compliant have been lodged with Regent Automobile Showroom at Faridabad and their service station at Okhla Industrial area New Delhi on 7th Oct-2011 with the Deputy General Manager , he appointed Mr.S.K.Gupta the warrenty officer to take care of the issue and he lodged compliant with the tyre manufacturer Goodyear and given me the compliant No's and confirm that with in two days The tyre manufacturer will inspect and replace the tyre but after many tele calls and e-mails to Chevorlet Motor and Regent Automobiles on 20th Oct-2011 the technician from Goodyear call me and ask to reach one tyre retailer at Gurgaon for a inspection of the tyre and he check the tyre and say that it is blasted from the side of the tyre so they can't replace the tyre and i also put remark on the report that we are not satisfied with the report and need further action ,we purchased the car for commuting not to keep the car in garage and while running in Indian roads there can be patholes and stones if the small pcs of stone can damage the tyre it means the tyre is very substandard quality , pls help me to replace the damaged tyre at the car dealer/car manufacturer's cost

                                I am P K ANAIR from Jamnagar, Gujarat, have purchased a Car CRUZE LTZ from M/s GALLOPS MOTORS Pvt Ltd, the jamnagar dealer of Cruze, in the month of march 2011. The quality of the vehicle not up to the mark considering the price. They added more features but not comfortable for long use.

                                From the day second of purchase,we noticed that both of front wheel are getting extreme hot. While reporting they they done some repairs and given back. From the fifth day while going to Rajkot we felt the car wobbles too much. Since then we felt always (suffered for Three Months)when we drive and ladies and children refuced to travel in the car. When I spoke the gallop motors they not responded well. After my warning that I dont want the car and take it back or exchange other wise I will register police complaint they agreed to do check ups. Finally they obsereved some balancing probelms was ther with the new car.

                                After around five months the apholstery of roof just back side of sliding sun glass is falling down with one to two inch gap inside. That als complained. they informed to get repair the same they need one to days.

                                Representaive of Consumer department may take suitable action to get changed the car or refund theRs. 13.32 lakhs is spend for purchase.

                                Because I dont know how long I can use this car and also I am not satisfied.

                                    My sincere advice to all the customers not to go for cheverlot cruze since they gave me worst service in trident cheverlot.the have not rectified my a/c problem which started 6 months back.they have checked it for 4 times in their service and the answer they gave was their mechanics are trained for the new model cruze.I don't understand why they sell then.I have spent 17 lakhs on the car and I am roaming without a/c .so I plead every body not to buy cheverlot cruze and suffer like me .if the cheverlot company can read this let them respond to my mail I'd [protected]@rediffmail.com.

                                      ENCLOSING IS A LETTER WRITTEN TO GENERAL MOTORS INDIA REGARDING MY CHEVROLET CAPTIVA:

                                      This is Vinod Mehra from Mumbai.

                                      I have a Captiva which I bought in Oct 2008.

                                      I am writing about the harrowing experience ive had with the car since the
                                      last month.


                                      EPISODE 1:
                                      Last month, while driving in the outskirts of Mumbai, the cars clutch
                                      suddenly stopped functioning, and got completely pressed down.
                                      I had to get the car towed to the closest service station (Nikhil
                                      Automobiles).

                                      Upon inspection, I was told that the clutch had worn off and needed
                                      complete replacement. I have spent approx Rs. 50,000.00 for getting this
                                      done.


                                      EPISODE 2:
                                      On 3rd September, while driving, the car suddenly started to make a
                                      rattling round, and shut down immediately.

                                      Since the car did not start, I had to get the car towed to National Garage
                                      (Bhulabhai Desai Road)

                                      Upon inspection, they said that the engine had got seized due to oil
                                      blockage and there was internal damage caused to it.

                                      They have given me an estimate of 2.8 lacs (as per attached file).

                                      They have even said that I will not be able to get any insurance on this,
                                      as there has been no physical external damage.

                                      Also, since the car is out of warrantee, I will have to pay the complete
                                      amount from my pocket!


                                      Im appalled at the quality of Chevrolet cars, as I feel beyond the
                                      warrantee period, I will end up spending as much as the car value on
                                      replacing faulty components!


                                      I can only hope that writing this email shall benefit me by getting the
                                      cost reduced considerably.

                                      I had an intention of selling this car in the coming months after knowing
                                      that the condition of the car is only going to be downhill henceforth.

                                      I have always sent my car for service whenever I get a call from the
                                      service centre (national garage), but after this episode, i see no point
                                      for the servicing as I feel there must surely be some quality issues with
                                      the car / internal parts that in almost 3 years this is the expense i will
                                      have to bear!

                                      I surely will not be able to buy another Chevrolet product or reccomend
                                      one to my friends.

                                      So, as a gesture of goodwill, I would like Chevrolet to help me in this
                                      situation and take care of at least 50% of the expenses I will have to
                                      incur.

                                      Else, I will have no option but to get this matter sorted out legally in
                                      the consumer court.
