Hi,

I am Sundarraj, an victim of pathetic customer service from a bunch of irresponsible individuals from the ARAS Motors, Madurai. I own a CHEV BEAT and met with an accident on 14th Nov 2010. Since then my car is in the service centre without any improvement. Each and every time I took pains to visit the service centre which was always a waste of time for me. I am surprised that none of them are taking efforts to solve the issue rather they invest all that energy in making lame excuses and false promises. This becomes more ridiculous when am getting the same treatment even from the MD of the showroom. All of them are so punctual in missing the deadlines. Hats off to this excellent team who puts in exemplary efforts towards customer satisfaction This is a classic example of harassing the customer. I have decided to approach you to get this issue resolved ASAP.

I am also a Chevy Beat Customer. TVS Sundaram Motors - Chennai also the same problems. I am already fed up of escalations to Sundaram motors managers who convince a customer by words but nothing in actions. POOR QUALITY TEAM EMPLOYED FOR WORKING ON THE SERVICE (Tech team) which is is very visible.

What is more pathetic is that they leave the window doors open even as it rains (at service center) and next day none bothers to wipe of the water even and just let the vehicle dry up in hot sun which leads to rusting of parts. Not only this, I could keep saying many that has happened to my vehicle during service. No pick up and drop (which they promised while buying the vehicle)... As long is your vehicle is away from Chevy service centers, it is actually safe.

Recommendation to all - ' PLEASE DON'T BUY A CHEVY MADE CAR IF YOU LOOK FOR POST SALE SERVICE WHICH IS ACTUALLY VERY IMPORTANT FOR CARS' PLEASE STICK TO MARUTI, HYUNDAI OR EVEN TATA MOTORS' After Lot of analysis I am suggesting. MARUTI so far I hear is the best in service from my friends and peers (who are happy having a car).

The problem is that there are very limited service centers and very limited dealers which is an advantage to Service center owners. Competition is less and customers would be forced to go to the same authorized service center. So they are not obliged to treat customers properly which is quite as natural phenomenon which I did not analyze before buying the vehicle.

It is very very poor management strategy from Chevy (owned by the Giants General Motors) to have very limited service centers and dealers. They are not selling Luxury cars to have limited dealers. I WOULD NOT PUT THE BLAME ON SERVICE CENTER OWNERS. I WOULD REALLY PUT THE BLAME ON CHEVY BECAUSE IT IS QUITE NATURAL IN A MONOPOLY KIND OF MARKET (WITH LESS COMPETITORS) THAT SERVICE COMPONENT IS NOT GIVEN IMPORTANCE. CUSTOMER DIE ULTIMATELY

For CHEVY OWNER- Wait patiently for the warranty period to get over. No other go. Then give your vehicle to some professional service providers like Car Nation( carnation.in)...Don't repeat the mistake by buying a CHEVY Car again.

Just wanted to share my views so that people don't make mistakes while buying vehicle.

    After a long period of one month the agent from the company Mr Samson Frances run away from India with the money of 1,20,000/- INR without transferring the fund. In this fraud play one of the staff of RBI New Delhi is also involved. Why a responsible job holders in a prestigious National Bank of India are involving such type of fraud with the foreign fraud peoples ? What the Cyber Crime branches are doing ? After lodging complaint against these type of fraud, the cyber crime has not taken any action against the defaulters means they are not doing their job so what is the need to establish this type of branches in a country.

      Hi,

      I had bought a Chevrolet Spark last year in January 2010 from Astavinayak Showroom in Mumbai West.
      Two days back my driver was driving on the highway and while on the flyover suddenly the back wheel came out. It came out along with the entire part where you actually fit the wheel.

      The car was in a high speed and due to the wheel coming out the car was pushed on one side and the tyre went on the other.
      There were 3 cars behind on the fly over (On Eastern Express Highway) which banged against each other. There was a lot of chaos and I was called to the police station after the incident and had to spend quiet a few hours there.

      I called up Astavinayak and they said its not possible etc, but I towed my car and sent it to them. Yesterday they said it will take 4-5 days for me to get a feedback on the same.
      Now irrespective of the time taken and the day lost for me, my most important concern is "How can the WHEEL just come out" . I hope you understand the risk involved due to the mishap.

      I do regular servicing, its a new car and also have two other cars but never in my life have I heard about this.
      This car was a gift for my wife and by Gods grace she was not there when this happened.

      I genuinely want to understand, How can Chevrolet make such cars which cant be trusted.
      A complaint is filed with Vikroli Police on the same

        I purchased this vehicle CHEVROLET BEAT ON 20TH MAY 2010 and I am not happy by the company policy , when I purchase this vehicle from the company there was no rear wiper in the car and I complaint to local dealer and he replayed , you should check it before , after 20 days my car's wind screen was cracked without hitting anything on it ,and I again complaint that to the local dealer but again he replayed that we can not do any thing on this matter you have to purchase new wind screen by your own and we will take extra charges to fix it up .
        This is my problem please help me on this matter .

          Please be beware before taking your chevrolet captiva 2WD ( LT ) to hilly regions.

          You will experience nightmares while driving in sloping roads. If the road is wet you are out, then you should take a crane with you to help your vehicle.

          Even though they say captiva provides maximun torque of 320 Nm , it is available only after 2000 rpm,
          whereas while your vehicle is standing in traffic it will idle at 700-1000 rpm. There the 2.0 litre engine of captiva provides very less torque so you have to pedal your engine above 2000 rpm to get that torque within that you ll hit the vehicle parked behind you in traffic.

          When the slope of the road is little high you have to engage half clutch ( smoking and burning it ) even in first gear inorder to pull the vehicle to move and get a decent speed.
          if you think your vehicle is moving and take your legs from clutch again it ll lag and engine switches off in heavy slopy road.
          Atleast we have to reach more than 25km/hr to allow the vehicle to move within that you ll experience heavy smoke from clutch and heavy tire skidding which ll create nightmare for the driver and passengers.

          Even tata ace went with an ease in that road. From stand still and go, it went without any trouble.
          But this bloody 20 lakhs worthless machine failed to go normally.

          It got worse when i tried it in reverse gear, as we all know that reverse gear is not exactly equal to first gear ratio. Reverse gear is little powerless.

          I had to noise the engine like a race car to take it from that spot.

          Really a poor driving experience from chevrolet captiva.
          Buyers of captiva please be aware.

          IT has poor service support too due to spare unavaliability and poorly trained service engineers.

            Hi i own a chevrolet captiva and moderately satisfied with the performance of the vehicle.

            Recently i had a bad experience with the car dealer Thrive cars, salem. I gave my vehicle for service as its cross bar got damaged after hitting a rough road pit.
            Later i was informed that stock of cross bar is not available in dealer place and they are waiting for the spare to arrive. I waited for 25 days and after that i was told that while inspecting horn was not working.
            Again they asked me to wait for another 5 days to get the horn spare from factory. (FYI - horn was working when the vehicle was given to service).
            I totally got annoyed and ready to sell my vehicle due to poor response and the time taken for service.

            When chevrolet is trying to sell a premium segment vehicle it must ensure for good service experience for the customer. Whereas they just concentrate on meagre number of vehicles they are selling.

            To get my vehicle back atleast i would have given 20 phone calls. Always i was convinced by the service engineers that i will get my car soon and they are working on it.

            After a month of struggle we got our car back that too one horn was not properly working.

            There is no proper service support for chevrolet captiva through salem(i think it is same in all service centres due to spare part unavailability), thrive cars.

            Even though the vehicle is believed to be of decent value for money. No customer will be ready to wait for a month to get his car serviced.

            Buyers of captiva please be beware of getting your car serviced as you have to wait for months when have more than a small problem in your car.
            Very poor service experience from thrive cars, salem.

            Soon i will sell that car, for stupid service reasons.

              I have an apprehension that the Car dealer has charged additional VAT to me as a result I had to shell extra amount of Rs 41000/-.
              The story is like this. At the first instance the Car dealer purchases Car from the Car Manufacturer which is then sold the prospective buyers. Here the car manufacturer supplies car to the Dealer on the basis of sales invoice which includes elements such as trade discount , VAT etc. Now when the dealer makes sales to the buyer, the dealer prepares sales invoice wherein it also includes an element of VAT @12.5%.
              This way the consumer are duped by additional amount of VAT.
              My question is whether it is appropriate on the part of dealer to recover additional amount of VAT from the comsumer?

                after 7 days of purchasing above said car when i reached at servicing centre at industrial estate,vizag-7,with little scratch and asked for mending it and also asked them to check for wheel alignment,I was socked to see the scenary of that place.one servicing person straight way declared that the mis-alignment is due to damage during driving and you have to pay for it.Then other came for my rescue telling that your vehicle is absolutely perfect and all spark models are like that so that is my misconception.Mean time one from sell-side arrived there and told, sir ,you have take maintenance-package for free alignment and for this small painting works you have to pay 1500/-Then I asked ,there are frequent ads about no maintenance charge for 3 years ,just pay for petrol and drive the car.Then somebody told ok sir,we will claim from insurance,you do not worry. finally I discovered that this 3 years maintenance warranty is all about nothing but eye wash.scenario is different at delear level.

                  I had taken my car Chevrolet Optra, for repairs to S.V.Motors, Amritsar, with a malafide intent of making more money the Owner of S.V.Motors along with the Service Manager Naresh Narang and Mechanics Dilbagh Singh and Karaj Singh threw ball bearings in the engine to completely destroy it and charge me for a new engine.
                  Dilbagh Singh had the audacity of destroying the engine in my very own presence along with Karaj Singh.
                  The Service Manager told me that it was actually a spark plug that fallen inside the engine and that it was a common problem with chevrolet engines that they sucked in spark plugs (weird).
                  I complained to Chevrolet India about the crime that was committed by S.V.Motors as I had taken my car because they were authorized by General Motors for servicing Chevrolet Vehicles by Chevrolet India or is it that Chevrolet engines are really faulty that they suck in sparkplugs.
                  My complaint number is CSI / CAC/ N/ 2010/ 1041/ M/s S.V. Motors, Amritsar,but Chevrolet India has not done anything in this regard as yet after repeated assurances by Sonal Upadhay from Chevrolet Customer care.
                  Has Cheverolet India authorized S.V.Motors to destroy chevrolet engines or has it authorized it to service vehicles of Chevrolet Customers?

                    We booked Chevrolet Spark LS car in Dec'2010 in Bangalore ( Kalyan nagar - Showroom).

                    As per the discussion with the sales Team in the showroom we were supposed to Make 1 lac as down payment.

                    Remaining amount of the total 3.9 lacs will be done through Loan.

                    We approched Showroom for Loan application & as discussed with the sales Team in chevrolet again it was supposed to be handled by sales Team.

                    But,, now, they are not even bothered of the loan & Never get in touch with us for any Matters . Instead, we have to get in touch of Axis bank for the status check & so on.

                    They are not capable of handling customers .

                    I am afriad that they promise everyone that they provide 3yrs of service free. As, the level of customer care taken now , what would the case after the sale done????

                    I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANY ONE FOR CHEVRLOTE PRODUCTS & WILL PASS ON THIS MESSAGE TO MY FREINDS GROUP & TO THEIR FRIENDS & SO ON.

                    i purchased spark vehicle in the month of Nov 2010 in bangalore with Kropex dealer . After 3 months over the sales executive still not able to giving me the break up of my payments towards vehicle purchase . Such a irresponsible response from sales team including manager . I will recomand who ever purchasing vehicle from Chevrelet pls get the complete berak for the vehicle charges...
                    After Sales Service of Dealer Malwa Motor sales pvt Ltd., Kundli, Sonepat (Haryana )
                    We have visited this dealership on 27/8/13 for the servicing of our car.
                    We handed over car to service deptt. 9. A.M. & this was ist car for servicing regd with them on that day.
                    Job No. was 001193 Dt.27/8/13.
                    Machenical job was completed by their tecinicans by 11.45.A.M.& sent far washing around 12 A.M.
                    But extremely sorry to inform you that till 4.45 P.M. washing was not done & there was no hope in next 2 Hrs.
                    There was a big fight in customers for washing.
                    Finally we decided to take our car back without washing from the dealer.
                    They returned us Rs. 250/ for washing after a huge discussion.
                    We have seen a big fight in all the customers for washing delay at the dealership.
                    This is very painful to us that we waisted full day & job was in complete.
                    No company perform good if the after service is not good.
                    This dealer ship is spoiling the name of Chevorolet as well as G.M co.
                    We are authorised dealer of Deutz - Fahr Tractors Baghpat U.P. from last 30 years.
                    Being a dealer we suggest that his supply should be suspended till the time he does not provide the saperate owned washing system to company. As this system is on contract basis & inclusive of Nissan cars also.
                    I carried out service from globus Chevrolet delhi .Complete clutch assembly has been relaced. Alongwith clutch assembly some other work also carried out like rediator hose replacement, cables replaced. But I couldn't know that why flywheel has been replced. whereas I didn't find any damages in flywheel. I had to pay huge amount in service. The cost of this part is near Rs. 5500/-.
                    As per my opinion and my automobile knowledge fly wheel can replace in only two condition when gear tooth will broke or any crack has been developed.
                    I will wait for reply from Chevrolet.

                      i met with an accident morning 1st of January. I gave my car for repair the same day. Till today 26th of Jan i haven't got my car back. Worser still I have to keep following up with the service center TVS and I rarely get a call back. The cost of the spare part is extremly high worser still the labour cost is even higher. They have a monoply in the market since there are no other authorised GM service centers in Chennai. Extremly poor service that has made me regret my decision to buy a GM car. It is most certainly a Maruti the next time, previously I had a Zen and the service and cost for replacement with Maruti is much more cheaper, efficient and more customer friendly.

                        I Uttkarsh Mohan Gharat, resident of Nerulgaon, Navi-Mumbai purchased a Chevrolet Spark-Lpg car bearing registration no. MH-43-AB-398. I took the delivery of the said Car on[protected] from your dealer Nikhil Automoblies Ltd. which is situated on Thane-Belapur road Which is situated at Thane-Belapur Road, Navi- Mumbai .
                        The said runs only 8640 KM from the date of delivery and I did regularly servicing from your dealer but inspite of this my car is having serious problem with 2 tyres which is made of MRF . The wire-mesh of tyre come out of the rubber because of which I cant drive the car. I regularly did Wheel balancing and alighnment but inspite of this problem occurs scince the original tyres with the said Car are faulty in nature.
                        Surprisingly within only 8640 KM the tyres got damged it’s a unbelievable for me. I made first compalint to your dealer Nikhil Automoblies Ltd on[protected] regarding the same but inspite of replacing they asked me give Complaint to you and accordingly I made another Complaint to your Customer Care division on[protected] and which is registered as Complaint No. 20673 with you. Scince the car is in warranty period you have to replace the same forthwith and its your valuable duty to take steps for customer satisfaction.
                        Therefore you are requested to take cognizance of earlier Complaints and do do the needful in the interest of justice.

                          I am purchasing new chevrolet beat before 15 days . but there is a incidently damage done in front bumper. for that i want to service station & ask for claim of insurance . but they can told me that they can not safficiant stock of front bumper of beat. they have already 5 cars to spair which is waitting for front bumper. they dont know me that when did front bumper arrived.and how many contaty they received. and also they can not have any comitment given to me how much time it will take.i am purchassing cash less insurance & 3year service contract. so what is the reason of delayaed. what is guarranty of your service? for 3 years how can i trust you?if you can not have safficiant parts of cars so what is the meaning for paying 3 years service contract?

                            Sir, Myself Mr. Arun Kumar Jena, Patia, Bhubaneswar have puchased a Chevrolet Spark, Model no - LT, colour - Red on[protected] from Super Sales , Cuttack. After one month of purchasing I have got a discolour spot on the back side of my car. I have complaining in the service more times about that. They were keeping my car in their service center for 2-3 days on every servicing, but that spot has not removed yet. I am not getting satisfied in their servicing in last one year. So please take any serios step about it, otherwise I will go to the consumer court.

                              I dhruv Sachdev purchased chevrolet cruze just 15 days back and from day 1 I have noticed that this car wobbles at most speed levels. Yesterday 03.1.11 I went to Autovikas - Moti nagar to get my car checked but they said it might be because of wheel balancing and after even getting the wheel balancing done the car still wobbles. I am highly unsatisfied with this car because after spending so much and when you take the brand new car out of the showroom and you find that the car wobbles.

                              Please look into the same and would request you to get my car changed.

                                I have been cheated by Chevrolet. I had paid for a new car but they did not give me the receipts for the whole amount. Also they mentioned that they cannot disclose the charges as it is not in their policy. Moreover, they gave me wierd reasons that the amount went into bribing the RTO officials, fuel charges, driver charges etc. I need help on this and need to know what should be done so that either I can get the money back or get justice in some way or the other.

                                  I am owning a chevrolet spark lpg ps purchased on 30 nov 2009, I advise to all not to buy any chevrolet vehicle, Because neither they have any great service nor their parts available in market. And all parts are available only in their showrooms and they charge Mrp on all parts. I purchased a spark headlight for 2641 and that was written as MRP and They charged 50rs as labour for it. If you want to fit parts outside their service centers then they will not give to you.Its bad.Buy only maruti as they have good service.

                                    Hi,

                                    We have baught Chevlolet SPARK LS recently few days back (15 days). The executive and the site was informing that the mileage of SPARK is 18. and on road mileage as 15-16 with AC in city. But we observe the mileage as 10 km/litre which very low when compared wit the mileage that company advertises. I have raised this at KUN, Kottaguda (baught a car from here only) but still they say that was the best mileage that I could get.

                                    I have the same problem !
                                    I purchased SPARK in Feb. 2011.
                                    After 11000 Km of running the millage is 11 to 12 km/ lit of Petrol
                                    Dealer`s response is poor, all the dealer staff is avoiding to recognise the problem
                                    Can you suggest what we should do ?

                                      1. when I bought my Chevrolet Optra 1.6, little did I know about the quality of the Car. After a mere less than 5 years, the car started rusting from everywhere. from wheels to the doors & hood. After showing it at the chevrolet service station, they inform me they have no idea of why its catching rust. They still say, it may be because of water used to wash it is salty. I bought maruti Alto a month before the optra and it is still fine &washed with the same water and there is no problem of rusting from anyside of the car. It appears that material used for the body is much inferior that Maruti Alto bought at 1/3 price. I enquired if there is anyway of protecting the car as there are two big holes on the passesnger side door. They have no idea. If this is the state of th GM produced Car, I'm very disappointed in them and needless to say, it doesn't leave a good impression of the car and the brand among my professional & social group.

                                      2. Also, it appears there is a scarcity of Spare Parts. My driver side Power window isn't working and they candidly inform me they dont have the part. I checked it at various places but of no avail.

                                      Optra Car — Rusting Problem

                                      I purchase Optra Car in June 2004 from 2-3 year i am suffring problem of rusting i many times complaint this problem to Auto Vikas dealer but they answer me that your car life is complete please tell the excet life time of Generlal motor car.

                                        I booked chevrolet spark ls car on june month Narbheram showroom,at the booking time they told me to give gold coin,3 months free servicing/100000km.,28000/- off from the booklet-price 3,63,000/-,net purchased price would have come 3,37,000/-,but among that committments they only fullfilled 3 yrs free service only,as when i went to get deliveryof the car inaugust month,i would have to give 4000/- extra money as they said car price rose atthat time,but manager biju thomas sir assured me to give seat cover & body cover inspite of refund money.In the mean time another story was happened,first i worked in M.N.Dastur co.so i would not have been elligible for corporate discounts,but at delivery time i joined in Ambuja cements limited and marketing officer assured to make corporate discounts for me,but onwards he would fail to committ that assurance,I would have to pay that extra discount amount,at that time i was in deep money tory problem to pay the unadjustable money though i would pay.Also sir in mean time i come to ranchi for service,and i went to tata for collecting seat cover,registration book,car no. plate,but they failed to give owner book No. plate,said give latter,but after 1-2 weeks i went they again said to come me.Sir this is harrassment for me to go long distance from ranchi to tata frequently.Sir please take this in account so that like me no bosy would have been harrassed in future also.thinking twice to give dealership like this type of men ie.Narbheram.Take this letter seriously so that further i would not be suffered will get my no. plate, owner book,car cover very quickly.

                                        Chevrolet / Spark Ls — poor service,not cooperate with customers

                                        I ,Manish Kesharwani,i bought a SPARK LS on 10 nov 2009 from S C corporation thane. I am not satisfy with your service even you are committed that you will give three year warranty and service the way giving service is very regret full .I was going somewhere for important work on 5th of nov 2009.My car was fault on the highway from 25km far from your service center.petrol pipe was blast on the way and car was stand on the spot full of petrol is spread on the all over road.that when I went your service center next day your people did not co-operate with me even they have not given the parts which I required (petrol pipe). when I ask to bring my car at your service center they clearly denied ,as well as they said don’t bring your car at our service center today B’coz we don’t have place to keep your car and petrol pipe is also not available at this time.one of the your employee said that parts is available bt first you have take a permisson from advisor bcoz i don,t have authority to sale the parts. advisor did nt co-operate with me and said bring ur car on Wednesday by towing van because today we dont have place to keep ur car at our service centre.i am so hurt and very bad experience with chevrolet and i will never ever suggest to any to buy the chevrolet car.
