I had 11000 in my account and had kept it for a transfer to be made today. When I wanted to make a transfer today it shows that they have earmarked 7800 leaving only 3300 as withdrawable.Hence I will not be able to transfer the amount and there will be a penalty, a dishonour and a cibil hit. Called the call center and they said that earmarking was for the ready credit account that I have. According to the terms which I agreed, the amount is supposed to be deducted on the day which my salary is supposed to be credited(31st wednesday). they have incorrectly blocked the amount on the 27th. This is fraud and a non compliance from citibank. I feel cheated and will ensure that I pursue a legal case to get justice. The call center agent said that he will not be able to do anything and I wanted to speak to a manager. As usual I got the reply that the manager is not available. god knows why they have managers. I know how they work and so I was adamant to stay on the line till the manager becomes available. Surprisingly in a couple of minutes there was a manager on the line and she said that we cannot help. That is the system algorithym. Howcan the algorithym be to deduct the money 5 days before salary credit ? Is it that customers should not use their citibank accounts end of the month in the fear that they might earmark any amount according to their whim and fancies...

To make matters worse the manager hung up on me. I am using the statement hung up because if it was a call drop issue, they would have called me back like they always do. I NEED TO KEEP A COMMITMENT AND MAKE THE TRANSFER TODAY ELSE I WILL HAVE TO FACE A LOT OF CONSEQUENCES. I HAVE ALWAYS KEPT MY COMMITMENTS WITH CITIBANK AND NONE OF MY EMI FOR LOAN OR AND ECS HAS EVER BOUNCED SO NOT REALLY SURE WHY CITIBANK CANNOT KEEP THEIR COMMITMENTS.

I hate the the manger in the bank branch Laurel canyon CA
She didn't help me at all. I am just asking why they charge me for returned fee since I put cash thru my atm...but the bank didn't even pay the merchant who requested for payment...

Can anyone in Citibank resolve my issue regarding Earmarking Amount that has been debited from my savings account automatically. I had to pay my rent and i saw money is with bank. They wants to charge me for wrong credit card invoice amount. I need this issue to be resolved and wants to know who can assist in this matter. This bank is becoming so worst and annoying. I just want to discontinue my savings account once this issue is resolved and can't recommend to open an account with this bank. Horrible service.

    Hello Sir,

    My name is Amit Agarwal and I gave my documents to one of Citibank executive to open a salary suvidha account in Citibank on last week i.e, Tuesday(16th August 2016) and I was informed that it will take maximum 7 working days to activate your account and also got the instant kit in which my account number was mentioned as [protected]. I also told at that time to the executive that my salary is going to credit in this account for this month so if you are very much sure that it will be activated on time then only I will give you the document else I am not interested. At that time she replied that don't you worry sir 7 days is our maximum limit and in your case it will be activated within 4 days but till now my account has not become operative and its also the time for my salary and I have updated Citibank account number in my company portal and now I can't change the account details in the portal for this month. I have also called to customer care regarding three time in last 3 days and each time I was informed that we have taken your account on high priority basis and it will get activated by the end of the day but each and every time the commitment got failed and finally today evening they told that it will take another 2 working days to open your account. I also called the same executive for this and she gave the phone to her manager and he replied that sir it will take 7-10 working days and also replied that a customer with same name has defaulted in the past so it is taking time, if this is the problem then CITIBANK has to mention it to their customer clearly at the time of account opening since your name is similar with one of our defaulter so you have to bear with us a lot in the near future. At the time of opening the account CITIBANK executive just think about their targets and want to open the account at any cost, they just want to take the documents and after that they don't even bother whether the account has activated or not. Now I just want to ask how I will get my salary and who is going to be responsible for this. And what kind of service CITIBANK is providing to their customer. If this is the way bank is going to provide the service then how a customer will trust on the bank. I am continuously following up the executive and customer care from the last 4 days now I am fed up of all this. I just want the solution.

    So please help me on this issue to find a solution.

    Yesterday I got a call from CITI Bank after complaining so many times and they just informed me today we will activate your account so don't you worry. But when I asked about delayed process the response was not satisfied as he informed me that since your name was similar to one other person who has made some default in the past so it took time to verify the things. I just want to say how the same name can create so much difficulties when I have my separate PAN details and I have provided it to the bank. Though my account got activated but I am not satisfied with the response and delayed process.

      I am holding credit card of various bank and have been regularly paying the tital amount due every month, recently due to dome commitment i could make fulk payment due as per ststement generated, i am shocked to know that i will be charged interest on total amount due that too at 2.5/ 3%.
      Even members payment history is overlooked.
      And also many banks give 1 point on every rs.100/- spend but while redeemin for gift voucher of rs.500/- one has to redeem more than 2000 points. Why? Banks must charge only equal points for same amount as we have spend rs.100/- for 1 point

        Hi team,

        I have raised a request for change of address in citi bank online banking for which later i have submitted address proof also. Received a reply from them stating that the as the address proof was not valid the account was put on hold to do transactions. As i don't have another address proof with me i have requested them to keep the old address details as it is and to unlock the account to do my regular transactions.

        I have been writing mails, raised requests and calling them to get the issue resolved but still they are not resolving the issue. I am reaching out to you thinking that the issue will be resolved as early as possible. Below are the details.

          citibank saying amount is settled by the benificiary bank and benificiary bank is saying we have not received any payment.

          i will also file RTI against citibank and sbi for the same

            I called in regarding my credit card bills, for charging 500 on withdrawal of 200rs and so on. I wanted to know why there is no intimation of the 500rs when we withdraw amount from credit card. But there is a message intimation for every credit and debit. How horrible is the service cheating customers. Plus no complete statement of transactions available to see what is going on.. Transactions are generated once lot of interest and money is charged on customer. Transaction what i made on saturday i'm not able to see today i.e tuesday. Worst service ever!!! Just pulling money from customers in the name of credit cards.

I paid full outstanding amount in before due date mode payment is neft, with successful ref id iv03017119 through sbi bank amount is 5700 date of payment is 11 august at 11.29 hrs in morning, still not shown in my card, so i make a coplaint to custmer care also,... Complaint also through city costumer care, complaint req no is-3680... Pls do needful, req to avoid any late charges.

                      I got a bill near 40000, and i paid near about 39000 to citibank cc becoz i didnt paid some amount not even 3% they charge me interest on my full bill of 40k. I said them i will pay interest of the remaining amount but they are not agree with that. So cancelled my card because of that i my cibil score are down. This is not fare with consumer they have right to speak & govt have to give justice.

                          Iam vijayakumar from Chennai having the CITI bank credit card and i had taken loan against my credit card and I had paid 25 EMI and i want to pre close my Loan with my complete outstanding. I had taken a request for loan closure and I had paid Rs 86890.00 on 7th June 2016. after clearing my loan, again I got message i need to pay Rs 4890 which is due for the may month EMI. I was shocked and i asked about that to customer care, they replied and they will come back in two working days. But some body keep on calling me (your authorised agent) and insisting me to pay the balance.I explained that I had cleared my loan, but they they are telling that i had pay the EMI pending of May month.I dont know what to do and finally I had paid the EMI today. But this is not correct and this is one way of cheating the customer. Hence I decided to draft a mail to complaint about how i affected.

                          Kindly reply where the mistake has happen . If not replied Iam going to put in website about how Citibank dealing with customers.

                          Nobody getting money easily and taking some customer hard earned money is against the ethics and law.

                              Dear sir/madam,

                              Please provide me justice.

                              Since february month i have been tortured by citybanks representative about the some unauthorized amount that has done by someone else due to week citybank security. I came to know that somebody had done the transaction with my citybank card when i checked the citybank monthly account statement of feb 16 at that time only i informed that i have not done that transaction so please revers the charges. At that moment i blocked that card and they issued new card. This transaction was done with amazon some emi transaction, they reversed that transaction for time being saying we will investigate further and we will come back after investigation. On 11. June 16 they got the result of investigation. As per the investigation some mr. Arjun has done the transaction with my card and they have attached details of amazon order receipt. Later i emailed that attachment to amazon seller to confirm whether that transaction was done by me. After few days of follow up i got reply from amazon that this was not done by account or by me. I mailed that confirmation to citybank however they just refusing that fact and forcing me to pay the bills. (Please refer all attached communication)
                              Below are the summary of fraudulent transaction.

                              Date of transaction as per citybank - 31 jan 16 (As per statement)
                              Amount - 11640.26 (In 6 emi)
                              Dispute raised date - in month of feb and it was done by phone.
                              First citybank email as resolution - june 11. They submitted amazon transaction document (Attached)
                              First reply from me on that email - 13 june - stating not valid proof and requested them to believe i have not that transaction.
                              Citybank reply - 15 june - they informed they will not investigate further as per them this investigation is final.
                              Reply from me - june 15 - stating i will check with amazon.
                              Email to city - on june 17 - forwarded seller email where they confirmed this transaction was not by me.
                              Reply from city - on july 19 - after a month they replied that i have to pay the bill with no basis. (All files are attached in 1 pdf)

                                  I mr. Nemichand b kumavat recived a credit card from your side on 15.07.16 still not activated daily your executives say to do a transation when i make it fails and when i call again the say do transation in moring when again it fails they say do it in evening you card will be activated daily false statemnt is given from yr side still my card is not activated a query has also being raised but has no solution now on 22.07.16 i called they are saying wait til 26.07.16. On 21.07.16 a called your executive said a call back has been arranged regarding card activation but i havent recived a call nor my missed call aler shows that u missed a call. Daily false statent is made from your side so plz look in to the matter why my card is not getting activated what is the problem with that fro activating the credit card and do needful favour for giving a reply on mailid and my mob for that asap from your side other wise mail me the addres for sending back your card to cancel

                                      I am able to open an nre account in sbi & axis bank.

                                      Why is this citi bank, india is not allowing to open an nre account. They want utility bill in my name, they want document like aadhar card from dubai and many many things.. Does citi bank does not come under reserve bank of india rules???
