I used Clay Telecom for get SIM card for my parents trip to Europe. Clay was very quick to deliver the SIM card and quality of phone service was good in Europe ( except few places ). Good Customer Service story Ends here.
I returned SIM card on 2nd August, in 2 days after my parents returned from Europe trip.
I received Invoice on August 7th with Rental Charge of INR 2399.85 and in my policy document rental amount was Rs 0.00. I sent email to Clay Customer service that Invoice is wrong as it has rental charge and it was never signed by me. I submitted copy of agreed Phone call Plan which showed 0 rental charge.
I did not get any response so i sent email to complete Clay team which was involved in giving me SIM card. I received call from Clay after 2 days that issue will be resolved today itself. ** Every Clay customer service person says that issue will be resolved today itself and they will personally look into the issue.
On August 22, Clay charged my Credit card full amount without removing rental charge. When i called clay customer service about this and i was told this issue will be Taken care by billing team... Today itself.
On August 26, I called sales person Muzammil Hussain about the wrong invoice and why it is not resolved. I was told i need to sign few documents and i need to pay invoice amount before Clay can reverse credit card transaction. I submitted new documents on 27th august and i got response from Clay that issue will be resolved Today itself....
On August 29, I called Muzammil Hussain again to check the status of invoice. I was told Clay has month end load of generating invoice and it issue will be resolved ....guess what....Today itself...:-)
On August 29, I received email from Customer Service that issue is resolved. But i noticed no invoice was attached so i asked for updated invoice. I was told that invoice will be generated.... Today itself...:-) so only GOD knows what issue was resolved.
On Sept 5th : Clay Did partial refund on Sept 5th and again i was told problem will be fixed today.
I am still waiting for Clay to fix the invoice and reverse credit card transaction. In this process i must have sent 7-10 emails and 10-15 phone calls, every time i got assurance but nothing was resolved. I have never seen such a bad customer service, People just make false promise and lie with sweet language.
update : Got full refund on Sept 13th 2013
I interacted with following team from Clay who only gave false promise everytime.
