I was traveling to UK from office and my assistant got me a local clay sim card for using there. And she told me that everything has been activated on the sim, data and plans to reduce my call charges to India. When I started using that sim card there, I realized that my data was really slow and somedays it woyld just not work. When I contacted my assistant complaining of the same, she directly connected me to the sales guy from Clay who seemed to be quite indifferent to the issues I was facing. No results on the data bit, somehow I managed the voice calls and then ultimately when I came back and returned to India, I got an ebill copy of rs 35k. All calls charged at an exorbitant price. None of my India calls were discounted despite having special packages activated. I was charged for data that didn’t work at all. Using a Clay Sim card was a really bad decision. These aren’t reliable at all

    I had bought a clay sim for Hong Kong after hearing so much about their network services and connectivity. But I had such a terrible experience using their sim card. Most of the time I didn’t have any signals on my phone. And when I called their customer care team to help me out with this constant call drops, they just said they cant do much about it and just hung up on me. Throughout those 6 days in Hong Kong, I was facing this issue and most of the times used pay phones or calling cards. I would rather not use any service than use clay sims again ever.

      I was using a clay sim card in Germany when all of a sudden all my services were disconnected. I had no prior email or intimation from their end. I kept on trying their toll free number from my hotel’s landline but there was no response from their end. I had such a nightmare using their services. Clay Sim cards are the most inconvenient service that I have ever used.

        Please check your bills twice before clearing them with clay telecom, because most of the times their bills are fake and tampered with. I had such an experience not very late, when I was using a clay sim for Bangkok. Everything was decent until I got my bill. I did not use data at all, how can I use data in a basic handset, but was charged around 100 THB for the same. My call timing were also doubled in terms of seconds to minutes. So overall they charged me over 4k for services I never used and increased call timing. Such services are definitely not acceptable and its left a bad taste for any future references

          I was in Singapore using clay Singapore local sim card, which was a post paid one. Because I knew I would be using the data services more, I specially got a data pack along with the regular voice call plan. I had not even used half the capacity of the data, must be around 500MB, that I started getting messages everytime that I surfed the internet on the phone that I was being charged. And when I called the customer care, they said that its not being charged but will be discounted from the final bill. After 10 days of coming back, I got their ebill with every kb charged for surfing and using data on the phone. Not only that when I carefully checked the bill, they had doubly charged for calls also. It is such a sick thing to do, and its so frustrating fighting with these people for your own money. It was a one time mistake that I used clay sim cards, I would neither use nor recommend them to any of my friends.

            Clay Sims are quite over priced in comparison to other such sim cards available in the market. For the same duration that I was in Dubai my bill was 6k and my friend who was using some other local sim card, paid some 4k for the exact services. Also, clay sims don’t have such great services to charge so heavily for. Most of the times I was short of signals only. Quite poor actually.

              I have had such a bad experience using Clay International sim card for China. When it came to selling the plan, Rohit ( sales guy) was super active and dealt with every question I had. While I landed in China and tried using their sim card, it showed signals but would never make calls or even receive calls. I wrote endless mails to Rohit seeking help, but not even one email was responded to. Well their customer care centre also is pretty much the same, as even they didn’t feel deem fit to help me get the sim card working. After all this scene and returning the sim card also, today I have received a bill of rs 5700 for my usage in China, which has already been charged on my credit card. Such pathetic company standards to deal with. I am hoping that after reading this they will take proper action and also refund the money. I doubt I will ever use their services again. Really bad.

                I was traveling with my kids to meet my parents in Singapore and for convenience my husband got me a local Singapore sim card from Clay. I started having trouble with its “really good services” right after I landed and tried to call my husband to inform him of our arrival there. The call would just not connect but the same call got connected to their customer care and Payal; the woman I spoke to said this is a regular thing with network once you change from the indian number to any international number. Something that I wasn’t aware of neither did the sales guy think it was an important information to share. Well the problem persisted for all the while I was there. Calls would connect and then just disconnect out of no where. More than convenience it was really irritating. Ultimately I had to borrow my brother phone for all the while that I was there to speak to my husband or inform them about my whereabouts. It is really disturbing to sell such a service that speaks of itself as poor quality and sub standard.

                  While I had bought a sim card from Clay for Thailand, I thought it would be rather convenient to still carry my indian number, in case of emergencies. I was quite unaware of the poor services that Clay Sims is rather famous for. My Thai sim wasn’t working after a day o[censored]sage so like any other person, I called the same guy who sold me the sim card. It was my mistake that I called him from my Indian number, and even after the issue was resolved they kept on calling on my indian number non stop for follow ups and stood me an outstanding bill of Rs 5000/- for no reason. I would just like to ask them who is responsible for paying this bill?? Terrible service and senseless sales team! Disappointment is an understatement.

                    I was traveling to Singapore for some work and bought a clay post paid sim card to use while I was going to be there for about a week. The entire process right from getting the sim and getting to know what plan I should take was a tedious job. I got the sim 1 day before I flew with no proper user instructions. I was told that Raj would email the details. An email that never came. Nevertheless it was just a sim card no rocket science, so I inserted it like our usual Vodafone sims once I landed in Singapore. That number barely worked for 6 hours after which it just didn’t work at all. No matter what I tried, it just didn’t work. Finally when I could do no I called up Raj ( the sales guy) and asked him to sort this issue. He said that someone would call me and these guys will try to get a sim delivered to me locally. I kept waiting for 2 days for that call but nothing. There was no response and infcat the sales guy also stopped taking my calls. This is what I experienced with ClaY International sim cards and I think after this kind of a treatment, I would never ever use their services even for free.

                      Since I was going to UK for my higher studies and dad’s being dad’s, he got me a Clay Sim card tailored specially for students. With some data and cheap calling. Well there was nothing cheap about it. I checked with my friends who got their plans locally, their local calling was around 5p and I was paying 30p for just my local calls. Not only this, my first bill where I had used the number majorly for incoming calls was around 15k. Its insanely expensive. There is absolutely no point buying such an expensive service while I can get better plans here itself.

                        I used their service for Dubai for hardly 4 days and I realized when I saw the bill of worth 7000 Rs that whatever they say of being affordable and conevenient is nowhere close to this. 7k for 4 days is hell lot of money to charge for local calling only. I think it would have been wiser and cheaper to use my own indian number there for 4 days and I would have paid a lot lesser than what I got billed for. Really expensive unnecessarily.

                          I used a Clay Sim for the US from 1st Dec till the 17th Dec for which they generated a bill around the 2nd of Jan for some 7, 000 rs which they directly debited from my card. Then again I got a debit notice around the 10th of Jan for another 6000 rs against the same number for its usage. So when I called their customer care number and asked them for an explanation as to why my card was debited twice for the same number with a gap of 8 days they had no answer for this. Infact they gave me some lame reasoning that the billing cycle must be different. I mean how is it even possible that for the second bill I got no details of the usage but only a debit message. After 15 days of this drama they realisied their mistake and have refunded the money. I doubt that after this experience that I will ever use any of their services again in the future

                            Clay telecom mite proclaim themselves to be the best international sim card option, but trust me I have used their services mostly for UK and France not once but thrice and their services are very very substandard. Things are always delivered last minute with no proper details, and they hardly ever informed me about flag fall call charges in France. And they don’t care whether you received the bill or not, they will directly charge ur credit card with whatever amount they deem fit. Very substandard service

                              My husband was traveling to China and he got himself a Clay Sim Card for being connected with us at home. Being a foreign land plus language issues, we thought it was a wise thing to carry a sim from India itself. So he bought a 40 RMB rental plan that was valid for 30 days, with free incoming calls. We could never reach him at any given hour due to the always network congestion. All o[censored]s had such terrible time with Clay’s services. Now when he’s back, they have sent him a bill charged 40RMB while he was there for hardly 10 days. Not only this, some of his calls in Shanghai were charged while they were free as told to us by Anil. We have been trying to get in touch with him now to get our original bill, but all in vain. Also their customer care team seems to be quite insensitive to this issue.

                                I was anyways using Clay Sim Cards without being very happy with the choice of my service cos their network was giving me hell of a problem anywhere that I went in London. Ultimately when I had nothing else to try with my phone, I called up their customer care when somebody by the name of Somesh picked up and asked me what “MY PROBLEM” was and when I was narrating the issue he was quick enough to respond that its out of his hands and he cant do much so I should wait for things to get fine by their own. This is some customer service, for if Clay Sims think that this way ppl will still go for this services, it’s a big misunderstanding. Really down market stuff

                                  . I had traveled to US last month and used a local clay sim card for calling purposes. Since they have a corporate tie up, I had no other option but to use their poor services. Despite placing a request for the sim card 10 days in advance, I got it at the last minute. So obviously everything was checked in a hurried manner and the guy scribbled the number on the sheet and left. The tariff given to me was not the corporate tariff that they give my company but rather a regular super expensive $50 monthly rental plan, that I didn’t ask for. Their connectivity through California was poor, so poor that I had to use the pay phones. This is how they treat their corporate clients. And ultimately I got a bill for 29k which if I were to calculate would not have been more than 10k. Such poor services, overcharged and absolutely clueless about client history. Disappointed totally

                                    We had used Clay Sim Card for majorly for local usage in Singapore from the 5th Jan till the 15th of Jan. Since we were there for a wedding so there was hardly any calling back to India. Firstly we had to literally call the customer care twice to get our data issues fixed as it was showing 3g but wasn’t working at all. It seemed like a fake 3g service. Hoping that those would be our last dealing issues with Clay Sims, little did we know that their bills are so inflated that we had to go through each and every call log, highlighting numbers that didn’t belong to anyone in the family. This was such an embarrassing thing to deal with but we had no other option as we had a 20k bill staring in our faces. After all the corrections the outstanding turned out to be close to 9k. Really surprised to know how these telecom providers work. I don’t think so we will ever be using their services again for anything.

                                        Using a clay sim card for any travel destination will always be a bad idea as they offer very expensive deals and their network coverage across is quite bad. I had a bad experience using their sim card for Europe. Super expensive and for most of the place they charged me international roaming rates.
