[Resolved]  Aircel — GPRS / pocket internet

I m using aircel in delhimy number is[protected],
I purchased a aircel sim card on 10th of june, 2009
I recharged with rs.98 to get unlimited internet, but when i started using pocket internet, browsing/surfing was fine, but download was very poor, when i try to download a file which is more than 750kb-1mb, it doesn't downloads the full file, it gets paused, and now after 5 days the browsing is also getting poor and downloading is literally 'nill', this is pure cheating and looting by them in the name of free unlimited internet.

i want my number [protected] of Aircel to be deactivated ASAP.. the sim was misplaced few months ago and i found out today that it is being used by someone else in Kolkata.. it's my urgent request to deactivate the above number which is registered under the name of Narayan Ch. Sarkar.. Thank you..

I am getting calls from a "Private Number" in the middle of the night. The number is not displayed. It just says "Private Number". When I talk, I can just hear my echo. Otherwise the line is blank. I get this every night. Please help!

My mobile no. [protected] ( Aircell). I have recharged Rs.333/- on 16th July 2010 and used some Rs.70-80/- . However,on 20th July I was in roaming but after coming back in my network I found that the balance is rs. 0.01.

Please resolve this matter and return my lost balance which is around Rs. 250-270/- The amount was blundered by the service provider.

I am usinjg pocket internet facility till one year but last 4&5 days not better connectivity i am very very really now i m disappointed, y i have bought the aircel connection.

It provides what it has to provide for Rs. 98/-. Do not expect too much for what you pay. The Aircel provides unlimited access for 98/- compared to what other provide. I am happy with unlimited access, but not with their speed. You get download speed o[censored]p to 7kbps in GPRS mobile and 20kbps in EDGE enabled mobile (even though connection speed is 115kbps or 460kbps). So, the speed depends on your mobile technology. Just connect to PC, you will definitely enjoy it.

I also had the same complaints as u guys hv...
BT to hv a better experience on AIRCEL POCKET INETRNET ...
Stast using google chrome fr brwsing and use google dns as default dns in place of ISP dns...
set it as below:
Primary dns: 8.8.8.8
Secondary dns: 8.8.4.4

Fr dwnlding ...i would recommend 2 use orbit downloader or DAP ...

Following above steps i m sure that u will get a better xperience of aircel pocket internet as i hv got...

and plz stop cursing the company coz u can't really expect very good speed frm 98 rs cheap recharge...They try to give u the good speed bt they are in an initial stage of their developement...once they get Fully developed ...
They will surely give u better speeds...

Aircel — Deducting balance forcefully

Hi,

I am using an Aircel prepaid connection in Bangalore. The number is +91-[protected]. I recharged for Rs50 on 18th July and my balance was Rs 75 change. On Monday 19th July, without my knowledge a caller tune was forcefully activated on my number and Rs 30 was deducted. When it came to my notice, I called up customer service immediately. They asked me to call 198 to register a complaint. I called up 198 and spoke to an agent called Vinay. First, he did not want to register a complaint and told me that I have activated the service on my will. After sometime, when I was able to convince him, he said he will register a complaint and that someone from the backend team will get in touch with me in the next 24 hrs to resolve the problem. He did not give me any complaint number. 24 hrs passed by and I did not receive any call. After 5 days on Friday 23rdJuly, I again called up 198 to enquire about the status of my complaint and this time I spoke to an agent called Nadeem. He informed me that there is no complaint registered against my name in their system. I was surprised to hear that. Anyway, a complaint was finally registered against my name. Complaint No is 1-[protected]. I was told the same story that a person from backend team will contact me in the next 24 hrs and will resolve the issue. I received a call on Monday 26th July from Aircel customer care and they informed that the caller tune has been removed. When I asked them when they are going to refund me the Rs 30 - they said they will register another complaint. The new complaint no is 1-[protected]. Finally I receive a call today 29th July from Aircel again and they inform me that since the 1st complaint was not registered within 48 hrs - so they cant help me and are not going to refund me Rs30.

When I told him the entire incident, he refused to listen to me and said as per their "PROCESS" all agents are supposed to give the customer a complaint number when they call in to register a complaint. Now, my question is - how do I know what internal PROCESSES Aircel is following - it is a mistake on the agents part(Vinay) that he did not provide me the complaint number.

I am absolutely disgusted and dissatisfied with their service. It is not about Rs30 - it is more about ethics. They are simply cheating the customers by forcing services on them.
THIS IS THE 2ND INCIDENT IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS. Although last time, they refunded my money.
I am requesting everyone not to use Aircel services - they take the consumer for granted.

I want to take strict actions against them. If anyone has any suggestions kindly advice.

Aircel Service Provider — Unable to Block sim

I had lost my Aircel networked mobile.. But i was unable to Block my sim... I informed customer care but they didnt given proper solution for this issue..Blocking sim facility is available in all other mobile service provider but its not available in Aircel service provider..
Try get your DND service activated. All these unwanted activations can happen when you respond to promo call and messages from the service provider. Thus getting the DND would help you get rid of these. As the same must be in your case. Good luck.
you are totaly right . i am also using aircel internet, it sucks, it disconnectes now and then . and the downloading speed is too slow avareage of 5.6 kb/s where Airtel gives you avarege of 29.89kb/p . dude what a big diffrance . man aircel is a [censored]_D UP & PISS_D OFF network . trust me, use airtel it worth it !

I wish to bring to your kind attention the problems we faced on two consecutive nights on 1st and 2nd August Saturday and Sunday in TMM ST middle point near Prasanthi &happy
Homes due to the operational works carried b the Air cell to lay cables.At 1 AM on the 2nd of August some labourers brought the drilling machines and started working disturbing the peace and sleep of all the residents of the area. We approached the supervisor and talked to him.After all the labour does the a job to get their daily needs.Aircell should be careful to see that the peaceful atmosphere of the areas are not affected for their own gains.Such of the corporates should visit the spot before hand and study the impact before venturing into such noisy activities in future.It is the sole responsibility of the Aircell and the concerned officials should take note of such hindrance and should not venture such kind of disturbing and acts of nuisance..At 65 I lost sleep for two continuous nights.During the day times
also it is another kind of traffic problems created in TMM ST.Aircell shoul act at once now!

Mr. Ajay kumar, You have produce your photo proof to your nearest aircel showroom which should be the same proof as you produced while the time you activated ur sim. After producing they will give you another sim with the same number that u hav lost. This is the procedure Mr. Ajay kumar.
Try to get in touch with the Nodal officer of your area. He/she will help you in very possible way.
Try visiting the nearest Aircel outlet and register your request there. They will help you out for sure.
