This is with regards to the complaint below regarding the faulty wifi modem which the airtel refuses to replace even when its with the gurantee period of 1 year. Having complained several times to the airtel customer care and also complaining to the consumer forums, it surprises me that how lighting the owners of the complaint on behalf of airtel takes these issues. Airtel is a renouned company with a certain image in consumers mind, it amazes me how that image is getting washed off due to some unprofessional employees of airtel. Complete refusal to address the complaint, acknowledge the facts and make corrective actions.
My wifi modem has not been working for more than 10 days now and no one seems to be addressing the issue. If this is the service level that airtel has to offer its customers than i am sorry the company doesnt deserve to be there. Its a service based industry and i have been a loyal airtel customer since its inception, i am sorry to say recent events pushes me to move on.
i have the reciept and the relevant documents which proves that i am being cheated by airtel in refusal to provide the services promised and i shall definately raise it with the higher consumer forums.

I had purchased a Beetel Wifi 450 TC 1 brand new modem on 25th December 2010 and the product turned out to be faulty. I was clearly told that the product is under guarantee for 1 year but the service center executive bluntly refuse to acknowledge this.
I was once again taken aback by the misbehavior of your Team Leader North Zone,Mr. Kuldeep whom I explained the whole issue but got no resolution and in turn was asked to go to any high authorities if I may feel so! Being an airtel customer , I feel betrayed and hurt by your misbehaviour and unprofessionalism. Even when my product is in warranty why am I being refused service? This is absolutely uncalled for.
It is extremely unfortunate that a company like Airtel which was once known for its service excellence is now harassing its customers. I am appalled at the misbehavior from airtel executives who have now resorted to misbehaviour with their customers.
I hope that I will not be forced to report this incident to the state and federal consumer forums, as well as popular consumer advocacy blogs.

AIRTEL LIFELONG PREPAID — GPRS and VAS Service
AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE ANS GPRS /VAS IS HOPELESS.NO CONFIRMATION MESSAGE IS RECIEVED FOR SERVICE ACTVATION BUT MONEY IS DEBITED WITHOUT FAIL.
I CAN'T USE BUT I HAVE TO PAY. I HAVE LOST ABOUT 200 RS TILL DATE.
CHECK FOLLOWING MAILS THAT I SENT OT REACH AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE. IHAVE RECIEVED ACKNOWLEDGEMENT BUT NOT RESOLUTION.

It is very sad to have such poor service from Airtel, one of India's largest cellular service provider.
Still waiting for reply...(Already recieved your auto generated reply about 30 hours before).
What about resolution?

Airtel Customer Care,
I am using Airtel Number - [protected].I am frequently debited for VAS, whereas I am never able to use these services.
After sending GPRSACT to 511, I get Acknowledgement - "Your Request has been Registered Successfully, You will recieve a confirmation SMS within 4 Hrs". But I never get any Confirmation message.
To my surprise on the next day money is debited without any usage.Next time even when I try to call 121 for enquiry, I cannot reach customerCare. I get no reply when I call 121 from Mumbai.Also after sending GPRSDEACT to 511, I get Acknowledgement .But I never get any Confirmation message.
Recently I have changed my Mobile model.Hence I approached Airtel service Centre, behind Suhkwani Campus, Near Kala Sagar Hotel, Pimpri-411018, to get more information and to get NOP and GPRS settings for NEW handset Model.But found no fruitful information.Attend took down my number stating, she would call back to provide details as network was down, when i visited; but never called back.
I visited your website but could not find fruitful information.
Today I am again debited for VAS charge 15 Rs / -
In brief, I am very dissappointed with GPRS service.I request you to provide me proper steps to configure, activate and deactivate NOP and GPRS services for Handset Spice D88n and Windows XP.Please let me know the charges for same. (Maharashtra Circle, Mumbai).
