Hi,

I am very unhappy with the kind of service I am getting for a being an airtel customer for over 7 years with my other number. As a customer if I don’t get proper response from nodal office I should go to the appellate office, but I as a customer is mistreated at the appellate office who am I suppose to escalate this.

I had called the appellate office twice and reached the same person named Shanty Bindal, who on Friday informed me that he cannot help me as his system was under up gradation so I requested him to call me back , which he didn’t do, neither did he transfer me to other officer, instead asked me to call after 4 hrs, so I told him to ask the person named Aman Kapoor to call back as he was the one who had promised me that he will call back and inform me the status of my request no matter what happens, but didn’t call back. So overall I was left with no answer and was just hoping to get a call back. Didn’t happen and its Tuesday today that I called the appellate office again and reached the same person Shanty Bindal who still states that his system was under up gradation and I should call him back after 4 hrs, because he can’t do anything. He denied even passing me to someone superior to him. Though knowing very well that I have been calling several times now there is no ownership shown to resolve the issue, instead the attitude says that the customer will stop calling in sometime if we don’t do anything to help.

If this is what everyone at airtel thinks then I think I need to move to another service provider who could value its customers.

Though I have been with airtel for over 7 yrs the kind of service I am getting is not at all appreciated, and I have very disappointed with this.

I don’t think I had asked for more as a customer but you guys have seriously been a disgrace.

I want someone to reply to this mail and also let me know what am I suppose to do next in order to get an answer. Else the only option with me is to change the provider.

    I have been using Airtel Services since last seven years.

    My Phone No. is[protected].

    But since jul’09 months I am very much frustrated by your service.



    After seeing my bill for june –july , I asked to CCE why my plan have changed for telephone line.

    I requested to revert back my telephone plan to existing plan. But this was not materialised so I asked for cancellation of my connection.



    Then I got a call from retention team by Mr. Sonu Tomar.

    He gave me welcome back offer – old plan for my telephone line,

    A New Plan for my broadband with a new ph. no. (as it is combo plan) & 20% discount on broadband rent for next six month alonhwith a waiver of Rs. 400 for my June-july bill.



    Then I got a call from Mr. Vinay to know wether I am agree with welcome back offer.

    I was agree with that offer so on the basis of that offer I continued with Airtel.



    But I got disappointed by sseing my next bill (july- Aug.)

    This time again I got a call from retention team by Mr. Om.



    On the basis of welcome back offer commited by Mr. Om again I agreed to continue with Airtel.

    I made payment of Rs. 600 as per my conversation with Mr. Om but nothing was updated in your system as I was getting continous call for balance ( While I have got waiver)



    Then I approached to nodal & appellate, But nothing worked out. Instead 50% concession on rental also discontinued.



    With reference to our conversation with Ms. Manjeet Kaur on 11.11.10, we got assurance that this concession will be activated on our no.

    and she told us to submit Handicapped certificate to airtel office. We visited to airtel office but representative denied to accept the same.



    Again i approch to nodal, first they told that show ealier bills as aprrof that u were getting this concession, when I produced my older bills then they said in our system there is no such components.

    Inspite of continuous followup , I haven't got any reponse. Plz help me in getting proper resolution.

        illigal deduction from my balance rs 1/ daily.in the name of value added service.without asking by us for the service.we neaver asked for any kind of services from the company. they register our number themselves for the services as illigaly deduct the money without bringing the matter in to our notes.please a attention to our complait and do the needful to take action against the company.

          I have obtained prepaid SIM from airtel hoping to avail 3G services on my black berry 9300 Airtel prepaid - No.[protected]. After having sufficient plan money > Rs.399 – when the process is completed and remittance amount is mentioned, reply SMS says new prepaid customers “we are unable to process you request. If you are a new prepaid customer please try again after 24 hours”. This amounts to say that their existing system is not fully operational or setting is being done now. After having completed process and not getting the services desired for three days – again today I am told to wait up to 48 hours.

          I think it is a clear case of systems not functioning whether hardware or software or technical people are unable to handle new accounts. After five hours speaking to several agents and three nodal officers today, I could see ‘3G’ for some time on my Mobile and off and again on; once ‘GPRS’ was also seen. At the time of writing this mail I see on ‘edge’ appearing.

          Airtel should not entertain request for 3G services and ask the customer to follow the process of registration, until their systems are in order and if it is going to be 48 hours later, then should ask customers to start the process of registration only after 48hours and just not give excuse as “we are unable to process you request. If you are a new prepaid customer please try again after 24 hours”. I have lost about Rs.100 speaking to Airtel customer care for no avail.

          Please inform me whom should I contact in your esteemed Authority for redressal of my grievance.

              Respected Sir,

              I had already mailed this mail to Airtel at [protected]@in.airtel.com on 01.10.2011 at 10:02 pm and also to the Chairman and and as well as Legal Adviser/TRAI. I also received a acknowledgement message on my Mobile number [protected] through 121 that "Thank you for writing to Airtel. We acknowlege the receipt of you email. We shall revert to you within 24 hours. And after laps of time I am mailing you the same complaint as no communication has been made through Airtel till date.

              I am the subscriber of Mobile Service from last 9 years and using 8 mobiles from Airtel only. On 01.10.2011at around 1:15 pm i got a same message by AD-Service on my CUG's mobile numbers which are activated in the Bill Plan RA 13 CUG 25 (North) which is a corporatate connection of Railtel, Ministry of Railways, New Delhi that "Your bill plan will be revised w.e.f. 1-Oct-11. New rates: Monthly Rental Rs. 140, local @30 p. STD @60, National Roaming @ 60 Unlimited GPRS @ Rs 50 @ Zonal CUG free.

              As it was a very shocking message that without my request how my plan got changed. As the CUG numbers were activated in COIP "Company Owned by Individual Paid". And at time of activation only my Railway id proof was taken by the airtel representative and my numbers got activated without any written/verbal agreement that in near furture the plan will get changed and as well as no information was also provided that the plan will automatically changed without taking my consent.

              As the the Bill Plan RA 13 CUG 25 (North) is the Zero Rental Plan and all of sudden I have to pay Rs. 140/- rental per month on each mobile which finally comes to the monthly expense of Rs. 1120/- is not a small ammount.

              It is a clear cut cheating of the company, and such types of frauds can't expected by the reputed Company like Airtel. I want to tell you that Railways is not bearing any expenses on my usages and only I am paying monthly rentals from my pocket for my usages. As it is matter of my own concern I will definately file a suit in Consumer Court for such type of act against the company. And I will not pay rent for my mobile connections as my plan was activated in zero rental and I will also not discontinue my all the mobile services untill any legal decision will come. What ever tie up Airtel had made with Railways or Railways had made with Airtel, I am not aware of that, my connection was activated in Zero Rental let it remain activated in same plan and not in revised one which is of with Monthly Rental of Rs.140/-.

              I therefore request you to kindly look into the matter at the earliest. An early action is highly appreciated.

              Airtel Mobile Post Paid — Change of Plan without consent.

              I purchsed two connections Post Paid Nos.[protected] &[protected] and my wife purchased one connection in her name No.
              [protected]. All three connections are for the internal use of my family ie myself, my wife and my Son.

              At the time of filling the application I had opted for Rs. 199/= Plan but without my consent the Selling Executive changed it to Rs. 399/= Plan. The Sims were activated on 14/08/2008 and
              I was shocked when I received Welcome Call from Airtel, since the calling executive tried to confirm the plan and I clearly stated and lodged my protest that I am not willing for Rs. 499 Plan.

              To my surprise within 10 days I received bill for Plan 399 and was told to pay. On enquiring about the complaint lodged at the time of Welcome call they said You pay this bill and the charges would be reversed in next bill. I did not agree to this and dropped 3 cheques for 3 connections @ Rs. 200 each because I have no faith on Airtel about reversal of charges. BECAUSE FIRST IMPRESSION IS LAST IMPRESSION. I was cheated on the very first relationship step.

              Kindly enquire in to the matter as my connections are hardly a month old and we are not mobile addicts and use it judiciously, only to be in touch and not for gossips.

              AirTel — Plan Changed without consent

              My plan of Rs 299 turbo plan and Rs 98 for 2gb free was changed in my third month of service. The 2GB for Rs 98 plan was removed without my consent. My bill for month 2 shows I have Rs 98 plan but in month three it was removed. I have contacted customer service and the nodal officer and the only answer I get is that the charges are valid. There is no explanation how my Rs 98 plan was removed. They claim that as Rs 299 plan was activated, and hence Rs 98 plan was removed.

              As a new customer, I signed up for both the plans and confirmed I was on the right plan by seeing the bill for month 2. As month 1 billing cycle was 7 days there were very few details.

              My service request number is 37852732 and it is nearly a month and nothing has been done. I paid Rs 2500 for the last month even though it was disputed as my outgoing call facility was cancelled.

                My Father is using Airtel postpaid connection.Bcoz of more bill he want to change his Traiff.but when i call coustermer care i ask DNP 400 ka plan the excuitive told me this plan is end.and scound day i recevied a call from airtel for new connection they are offering me same plan which i want but for tat i have to change my number tell by tat excuitive.Plz advise me wat shud i do

                  I have never subscribed to radio dhun, and i don't understand Kannada, and whenever i try to stop Radio dhun service, i got a voice talking in Kannada, please deactivate this service on [protected]. This is really irritating, when u have not subscribed a service and getting charged and unable to stop it. Airtel its high time that u guys follow some rules.

                    My Airtel prepaid No. is [protected]. Problem is I could not get connected to customer care office, only the pre-recorded voice works. I had complained many times over by phone and thro this page. For your reference you can find my complaints here before in August. Still the problem persist.

                      i am airtel prepaid customer and used this service from 2 years but from last month onwards iam recieved message from airtel "you have been renewed for thebigfatfree subscription service .You have been charged rs 5. every day iam reciving this message and 5 rs deducted. so many times i tried to complaint against this message to airtel custormer care. they said to me ok this service deactivated now onwards, but everyday i recieve this message .at last they are not allowed to call to customercare number.

                      i m really so tired to face this regular problem they deducts appx 3000 within last three monts so please do something for me
                      their customer care executive always promise me to refund that money but they did not pay me any single paisa

                        Hello Folks,

                        Need all of your expertise here...

                        I have an Airtel Bangalore connection and I normally send several National(STD) messages everyday to my friend staying in Jharkhand who is having a Reliance connection in Bihar/Jharkhand circle. I used to have my Nokia messaging system activated in my Nokia E72 cell phone and my bills used to be a bit high due to the data transfers for emails. So last month I deactivated that service to reduce my bill amount. From then on my national messages to the above mentioned Reliance number stopped getting delivered.
                        I complained about it to the Customer Service for which they kept telling me that it’s not Airtel’s problem and told me to check with the other Service provider.
                        A few points to note here:
                        • My friend is able to Receive and Send both Local and National SMSes from/to all others including Airtel numbers, but unable to receive my messages. I am able to receive SMSes from that Reliance number.
                        • I am able to Receive and Send both Local and National SMSes from/to all. I even receive National SMSes from the above Reliance number but message sent back to that Reliance number is not received at the other end, even though my cell doesn’t show as undelivered and can find the sent messages in my Sent Items.

                        Now to my surprise, after last month’s billing cycle was over my messages to that Reliance number have started getting received at the other end.
                        My Question:
                        1. Is it possible that Airtel DELIBERATELY stops messages to a particular number (where the frequency of messages is very high) for sometime atleast, so that they can force us to increase the calls to that number thereby increasing their call revenues ???
                        Reason for my Question:
                        I really feel this because Airtel’s Customer Service people kept telling me that there were no issues on Airtel’s end and then suddenly National messages started getting delivered to that Reliance number after my billing cycle was over.

                          Hi,
                          This is regarding my postpaid mobile connection [protected] provided by airtel. I have been using this number for the past 6 years. Recently I got an update that there is an offer for 3G usage in Airtel which is called 3G Double Dhamaka plan. I was in a normal Rs. 98 GPRS plan where I was getting 2Gb free in a month. I thought of giving a try to the 3G stuff and changed my plan to Rs. 100 for 200MB. The highest speed offerred by Airtel is 21.1 Mbps as advertised by them. I am not asking for that speed any how and just need something near to 5-10% of the top speed. Right now I am getting a speed of around 300 Kbps which is not acceptable at all. I raised a complaint with Airtel customer care and they said I will get a call within 4 hours, I waited till 4 days but still notcall. I called Airtel customer care again and they said they are escalating the issue and not able to give me a reason whether why I didn't get a call or whether why the issue is not resolved.

                          I just wanted to make awareness to all the Airtel 3G users, you are not getting the speed for which your paying and what they advertise. I will update this in facebook and also please inform this to all your friends who are using 3G. Airtel is cheating all their customers and people are not aware of it at all.

                            every day i used to get a call from ur executive & they use to tell me that "they will get back to me with half an hour but i don't kw when your half an hour will get over, all ur executive calling me one by one & asking the concern,
                            THIS KIND OF SERVICE AIRTEL IS PROVIDING TO THERE CUSTOMER.

                              I have been a customer or Airtel Prepaid phone for more than 5 yrs. It feels very miserable when you ask any query to a Airtel customer care representative about any validity recharge issue or any plan that you would like to know. They either don't know anything or they don't want to share anything that is important for us to know.

                              Recently, the validity of my mobile phone number ([protected]) number got expired. I received no message and when I spoke to a customer representative, I was told to call some other number. Do these people have no idea? Are they kept to trouble us by asking us to call every other number to resolve our issue? I still have my phone off due to this. The other number I tried calling doesn't resolve my problem.

                              Please look into this.

                                Mysel[censored]mesh Bari, My Airtel Postpaid Mobile no. is [protected],

                                On 4 th Aug 2011 I have activated 2GB internet pack by sending SMS AGPRS98 to 51619, in return of which I got sms with reference ID for AGPRS98: 33737114.
                                After that My bill for 8 days was Rs.784/- against which I asked waiver of Rs.500/- (Internet charge) from Airtel which they also agreed & pass on to me.

                                But in Bill duration 12th Aug to 11 Sept 2011 they are not agrreing any waiver & have stopped my outgoing service for not paying total bill of Rs.3666/- . In between bill period once I hvae done trial & error & just sent sms of AGPRS98 on same 51619 on date 22nd Aug 2011, against which again I received sms with reference ID for AGPRS98 : 34009838.
                                Now I Airtel is not agreeing on Activation made on 4th Aug 2011 & even after a chain of mails to Airtel I am not getting an appropriate response & struggle to contact Airtel as they have barred my outgoing & also barred my number from Complaint Helpine 121 & 198 from date of bill which is 12 th Aug 2011.

                                If any clarification required, please call.

                                Kindly intervein in to the matter and solve my problem.

                                  sir, i had applied for airtel iptv on 8 august 2011 and deposited all required doccuments and a cheque of rs. 1750 of punjab & sind bank pitampura branch cheque no.- 468002 date[protected] at A.K book depot, pitampura (airtel authorized dealer). the cheque has been cleared from my bank account on[protected]. but till[protected] my connection has not been installed. i had a word with :-
                                  1) vipul goel - chanel manager
                                  2) dalip kumar dubey - team leader retail sales
                                  but not getting any response.
                                  Airtel IPTV is not working for me for last 3 weeks and they are unable to fix the problem. The base product is a very defective one. IPTV simply does not work even when they say it is working. I had been an airtel customer for last 15 years and now I am severing all the relationships with them. Their customer service and complaint management has gone down into abyss. Their loss.
                                  kindly response as early as possible
                                  I have paid Rs. 3500 + Rs 500 for Airtel IPTV installation on Jul 4, 2013 and had been promised to provide the service within 2 days. It is been over 33 days I have not recieved any Airtel IPTV installation. And irony is that Airtel called me today to explain about the bill.

                                  I have called many airtel customer care numbers to lodge a complaint regarding Airtel, but everytime was routed to call different number with no help.

                                    My RTN is [protected](Mr. Bhadresh) i am facing very poor service from airtel digital tv.

                                    I have recharged my account with 1100rs threw HDFC Bank debit card as on 10.08.11 but recharge is not successful so I have recharged another 1100rs threw local dealer as on 10.08.11. When I checked my balance as on 11.08.11,my balance is shown 2200rs. that means debit card recharge is successfully done and I have choose annual pack.

                                    I never told to airtel for amount reversal but unfortunately my balance is deduct with 1100rs without any information as on 21.9.11. and my connection is deactivated . Still now i don't get 1100rs in my bank account. I am sending my bank statement for your reference.

                                    I was told airtel customer care executive(mr ashish pande, atul ,hemangi) 7 to 8 time and i was sent a mail to your customer care and nodal desk(3 to 4 times) but my problem is not resolved till now.

                                    Currently i have selected annual pack but i want to change my pack in daily basis because my service is deactivated so, plz change my pack and resume my service as soon as possible.

                                    Can anybody resolve this issue?

                                    AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Non receival of connection in spite of Money Deduction from my bank account

                                    I have registered for an digital TV connection through your site www.airtel.in/digitaltv on 22 NOV 2009 at 6 pm. There was a TECHNICAL ERROR in your site while registering my connection but an amount of Rs.3850/- had been DEDUCTED from my bank account. After that, i received no communication from your side on the status of my connection. i also DID NOT receive my customer id number nor my mobile number could be registered in your database. So PLEASE try to my resolve my problem at your earliest.

                                      Hello,

                                      I applied for AIRTEL broadband on June month.(Application no: CH1191797)
                                      An AIRTEL guy gave me a reciept and collected Rs.1299 from me saying that connection would be given in 2 days.

                                      After one or two weeks, no reply from AIRTEL. I contacted and they said that my house is in a non-feasible area.So asked me to cancel the application on JULY month.

                                      I cancelled it on July 1st week. They assured me that I would het my money within 15 days.

                                      It is October and I have not got any good response from them.

                                      So, I started to e-mail about my concern from August month, Whenever I send e-mails, they would reply me with a a fresh ticket number.
                                      The ticket numbers I've got are:

                                      2982820
                                      3495012
                                      3656048
                                      3733330
                                      4689012

                                      They would set a dead-line for each and every ticket number. And if I send an e-mail on the dead-line date about that, they don't reply me.

                                      After 2 days, they will ask me to wait for another 1 week and issue me a new ticket number.

                                      I even tried to call to these numbers [protected] and [protected] about my refund status or about the ticket numbers.

                                      But you know what these people are doing? They will put the line on hold for 10 minutes and I have never got any fruitful reply from them. So I will lose Rs.10 on each call(I've lost more than 70 rupees to get my own money) This made me to stop calling to those numbers.

                                      Please anyone help me to get my money.
                                      Please forward this complaint to anyone in AIRTEL.

                                        To be precise, I am listing my problem in short. I have two complaints.
                                        1. Network coverage issue at my home since last 8 months.
                                        2. I gave up on airtel and applied for MNP, but they rejected it.

                                        I am airtel post paid customer since last 4 years. I did not wanted to shift to any other service provider and hence i waited for 8 months to resolve this network coverage issue(I think is the most genuine reason to apply for MNP). Finally when I applied for MNP, immediatly i started getting calls from them but nothing got resolved. i also wested lots of time talking to customer care and explaining whole strory every time.

                                        After this story I am not interested in being with airtel any more. I am ready to appeal to TRAI and go to consumer court if required.

                                        Airtel replied to IDEA saying they have contractual obligations.
                                        I wanted to know what are the contracts I made with them and solve those so I talked to airtel customer care and they said we dont know. they literally wested my time keeping me on hold for long time and then terminated the call.
