[Resolved]  Airtel — Network coverage problem

Sir,
I am totally unsatisfied with the service provided by Airtel to the customers. The network problem in my area (Pimple Saudagar, Pune-411 027) is not getting resolved . Here there are 2 Towers (Pimple Saudagar and Kunal Icon) which are not powerful enough to offer a consistent network coverage over the area. The back up power source for supporting the transievers, reflectors and boosters has become weak. Moreover the intensity of the signal is pathetic. I am using Nokia 5310 Music express mobile and it has nothing to do with the intensity of signal that is being transmitted.
The network problem is making people like me to file numerous complaints in the Customer care centres .But the management who owns Airtel is not taking things seriously(i dont know why ) .They are not at all interested in providing a foolproof solution to the network coverage issue.The advertisements are misleading .
The problem might be solved by maintaining the towers in good condition and adding one or two additional boosters facing each direction. During power failure, the people who maintain the back up should check the signal strength of the transceivers.

I request you to take an action which will make the management think and device a permanent solution to this issue. This issue is affecting not only me but eeach and every airtel customer in the country.

Not only in Pune, but across the Maharashtra region Airtel users are facing network problem and now it is so severe that suddenly complete network disappears and nobody is able to call.
I have registered 3 complains but they were closed without resolution. I got a call from their customer care representative and he said that if your problem is not solved then you are free to go to other service provider.
Now I have applied for MNP and will go for Vodafone.

In Pune only I have seen numbers o[censored]sers have opted to change from Airtel to other provider. Airtel is losing it's costumer base very rapidly and they are doing nothing to stop it.

They are busy in misguided advertisements.

AirTel — Mobile Network coverage issue

I live in Byrasandra Bangalore, since past one year I have been complaining Airtel customer care regarding the VERY POOR or NO NW at the said location. I promptly get the ticket no. for the complain but no positive action has been take to resolve the customer complaints. After couple of days, Airtel representative call me to inform that the technical team has checked & resolved the isssue.Surprisingly there is NO IMPROVEMENT at all.

There are more then 500 flats in that area & all Airtel mobile subscribers are facing this issue. If Airtel does not takeup the matter seriously, then we'll be forced to terminate Airtel service & go with TataIndicom as alternate (Signals are good).

i am using vodafone prepaid service since last 3 years but i am very sorry to inform that the signal strength in pimple saudagar, pune is so weak that it's causing call drops, fluctuation in signal as well as disturbance during the active call, regarding those issues i have made several complaints in vodafone but the situation is same and every time i receive a call from vodafone technical department and they inform that very soon vodafone is going to install a new tower in pimple saudagar, pune as this is not only my individual problem same problems is faced by many other customer of pimple saudagar too and without my information they closes my complaint in the complaint tracking system.
when ever i call back to customer care to inquire about my complaint they inform that my previous logged complaint is closed.

so i want to make a complaint against vodafaone that either they should install the tower first and only after that the can close my complaint or they have no right to close my complaint till the problem is resolved.

i request you to take strict action against vodafone to stop the game of cheating with the customers and resolve the network issue by installing a new tower in pimple saudagar, pune as soon as possible.

I was using prepaid service of Airtel since one year. But last month(9 or 10th March 2009) a marketing executive came to my resident with an offer. The offer was a plan of Rs 300 per months as a rent. In that plan he promise me 300 min. talk time free at the rate of 50 paise per min. & 300 sms free at the rate of 20 paise. He also said that international sms will be adjusted in those 300 free sms at the rate of Rs 5 per sms. He also said that the range will be very good. Better than what I use to have early. But the offer was with some conditions. The conditions were that the offer is available for new no. & not for old no. Also I will have to deposit Rs 500. He said these Rs 500 will be return in 180 days. Also he promise me a VIP no. So I was attracted to this new plan & I bought the new plan with a no. [protected]. But when I received my first bill none of my promise were fulfilled. Also my no. was not VIPno. They charge Rs 500 as a new sim card fee. Also they charge me extra for my international sms with the rate of Rs 5 per sms & local sms were charge at the rate of 50ps. per sms. Also the range is very bad. I don't know were to file complaint against such false & illegal activity. I am trying to contact the Airtel executive but no one is giving me proper reply or no one is telling me were to lodge a complaint. Also from today that mean 25th April 2009 Airtel has stop my outgoing services. So please any one can tell me where to lodge a official complaint against Airtel please inform me. Its a shame Airtel because I offered my cell to a International Delegateof to call his country, and the phone did not work, I recharged my phone which I have done for this purpose was not credited to my account.Rs.100 and then Rs. 220 at chandigarh DAV Collage sector 10.

I am Hyderabad Airtel customer; called on Airtel office on 3rd token No 217, a lady which failed to register the complaint, My view was that they ask Airtel Chandigar and reimburs the amount and credit to my cell; [protected]

Airtel Coverage issue. — Network coverage issue.

Hi All,

It has been more than 3 months since I have reported Indoor network coverage issue in Pocket-II Mayur Vihar Phase-3. All Airtel customers are facing this issue from a very long time but this problem yet not resolved even after reporting complain again and again with Airtel. Every time you report the issue the only answer you will get that we are working on it and it will be resolved very soon. People are not able to attend calls inside their house everyone have to come out of their houses just to attend a single call or to make a call. Unfortunately I have 2 Airtel connection and now taken one ore Vodafone connection because Vodafone is having very good coverage there.

Airtel engineer has visited in that area and confirmed that yes there is a coverage issue. Airtel is not in mood to resolve this issue even when there engineer also confirmed the same problem.

The purpose to post this comment is that if anyone is planning to purchase any Airtel connection pls check such things first before going for new connection.

AirTel — Network coverage issue

I am having Airtel Post paid connection with Combat-II Plan-MH and number [protected].
I am facing severe network coverage problem at my residence.
Already the complaint regarding this was launched 2 time to the customer care cell of Airtel.

The complaint was resolved earlier but as a short term solution.

Now for last 3 days from 6 Feb 2010, the network coverage problem cropped up again.
This is really lack of service from Airtel.

I have recently moved to Pimple Saudagar and have been totally unsatisfied by all the network providers in this area.Several complaints to Airtel went down the drain.The FACT is I found that Vodafone has good coverage in my apartment.
So, It depends where in Pimple Saudagar you stay...FACT is service from all the service providers is PATHETIC in this AREA.You really need to check which one suits you(your apartment/house)...

Initially I though I'll change my service provider.But after 3months now...I have decided to move out of this place.

I wish and pray that airtel loose all its customers(i believe in thousands) from this area alone.

AirTel — Network Work coverage issue

i am using airtel postpaid connection since last 3 years. but from last 6 months i changed it to prepaid. now iam thinking to change my connection(MNP). becuase of network coverage my home is located near calicut airport (about 2km road distance),and same distance to nerarest town kondotty (see on map http://goo.gl/maps/0RJO ). i registerd complaints on this issue a lot of time, but i didn't get any replys/responses from airtel. All other networks are available perfectly at my home.once i called to airtel customer care they told me there is need of a tower and they will install it in before 2010 augest last, but now 2011 augest is reaching. i think this is a cheating to customers.

i Vikram S Gosavi i have airtel no which is best company i am getting full network in mumbai city but when i goes to my village in malwan there is one small village which is amberi there is no network coverage of airtel not only airtel docomo tata loop etc. there is network king in that village which is BSNL i have kindly request or complaint to airtel that do more towers of airtel in that village so we can get best range or good coverage of airtel.

My name is Sunil Vaswani & mobile no. is [protected]. I am located in Baroda, Gujarat. I have been an Airtel customer since 2005. Since February 2011 I am having a terrible network problem at my residence which is also the billing address in your records. Signal towers in mobile drop to zero constantly while talking & even while the phone is kept aside. There is simply zero signal. I have to restart my mobile to get signal which again goes to zero within two minutes maximum. Anybody who calls me gets an "out of coverage" or "switched off" message. I have another Airtel number at the same address which is being used in a different mobile instrument than the above number but it it also facing the same problem.


I am registered complain regarding the same in February 2011 & on numerous occasions since. Reference nos. given by your helping are 37821895, 35919974 & F[protected].


Nearly six months have passed but the problem has not been resolved till date. I am losing professionally & socially. Talking to 121 is of no use as they give another complain number but no solution.

Hello All, I have been complaining[protected] Devli Yamuna Apartments New Delhi about the network coverage issue in my area and also frequent call disconnection. I have tried calling customer care and they were creating case and closing on their own but no proper update .So many customer case created for this issue by Airtel customer care.
