Airtel prepaid mobile recharge — Internet Banking Recharge never works

The Airtel prepaid recharge through internet banking never works. They have a claim that the phone can be recharged in 15 min, however, you can use only specific amounts for recharge (That is you can recharge only 100 RSs, 100 Rs, if by any chance you enter say 300Rs, your account never gets recharged). Even if you enter the correct recharge amount, the bank deducts the amount immediately, however, your mobile doesn't get recharged. I tried recharging my Airtel account through ICICI internet banking for Rs. 500. The amount got deducted, however, I never got my Airtel account recharged. A call to the customer service said, they don't know the problem, it could be a network problem and if it is, my account will get recharged in 72 working hours.

If it takes 72 working hours, then why claim the recharge works in 15 min. THis has not been the first time the problem has happened. This has been the 10th time and I have been foolish enough to trust that Airtel has a great payment gateway that will recharge the phone immediately. I have also been foolish enough to trust their customer service to find out the problem and recharge my account.

For all people out there, do not use internet mobile recharge from Airtel. It works erratically and if it doesn't work, you have no option but to wait for your amount to be credited back to your account or for the cell phone to get recharged.

Hi even i did recharge from ICICI BANK website through euronet recharge, But its failed..

Now a days im using fastrecharge.com which works without any problem.

Why recharges are through credit card (Mcheck) only. debite card how?

I have done recharge my Aircel number by Icici bank credit card on 3/3/2010 and MY mobile number-[protected](Aircel) not recharged. and amount of Rs-999/- is not yet credited in my credit card account.

AirTel/Mobile Recharge — Recharge Payment

I, Mayank Rastogi , staying in Kolkata, recharged my airtel No. [protected] of INR 100 on 6/05/10 by e- recharge (service provider is via of DTDC) on 6th of May 2010 at 7.35 Pm in Kolkata only. I have received a sms at 7.36 Pm from 555555 that dear customer your recharge request was processed successfully but when i checked my balance it was still showing previous amount means balance was not transfered to my account. I have paid to retailer as i received the sms from Airtel. At same time my two other colleague recharged their Airtel Nos (Nos are [protected] of Atul Sudhakar and [protected] of Avinash Karn) from same retailer and they also recived the SMS from same no and got their balance.

After 5 minutes, I inquired from customer care of Airtel about the balance but they said that this number has not been recharged. I asked them how have i received sms from airtel about the confirmation. They did not give any satisfactory answer.

Yesterday I also inquired about refund of money to the same retailer but he said that he did not received any refund amount.

You are requested to kindly do the needful in this regard so that i can get my money back.

AirTel — Top uP / Recharge of Prepaid Mobile

I charged my prepaid cell card with my citibank bank. Option of the amount was provided on the citibank portal and as this was the first time i selected Rs. 99 for which i got Rs. 10 only.

I called Airtel callcenter....... girl who spoke to me was unable to help me and transferred the call to supervisor......... who even before speaking disconnected the call.
