[Resolved]  Airtel Prepaid — Poor quality of customer service agents of Airtel

I am based out of Chennai, India and use a airtel pre-paid connection. I have given a complaint regarding some tariff change and the docket number was given to me. While I tried talking to the customer service agent to know the status of the complaint, the so-called customer service executive could not understand the nature of complaint when communicated in English language as well as the Tamil language. Every time when they asked me to hold the call disconnected after few minutes. I seriously have a doubt that the call is being disconnected wantedly.

Though I am not much worried about not solving my particular complaint, the quality of the employees they have with such a big brand name. It is really shocking.

Hope this complaint is noted by the concerned official at Airtel and reply given in my mail ID.

i mr arvind day before yesterday i lost my cell so i went to the airtel realitionship center and told that i wanted a sim of same number that s is ([protected]) plz started this number today only bcz i have to outof station just started this cell before 12.clock pm
she told it will be start yesterday but it s not been started . this is very poor coustmer service i no u have lots of work but i wanted to tel u that the people who need more helpu should help them first ok sorry 4 disturbance

My wife and I have a CUG connection, we had paid a due bill and was paid to a agent who come to my house and collected the money and said the connection will be active within one hour,the bill was paid and till date the connection was not active, i had called many customer care person and they gave me the same answer what the bill collector told me, and the last person i spoke with said i need to pay some more amount which is due, has per the customer person who called me told me your line is been deactived and told me to pay 1360.00 rupees towards the bill, i done my job, but this supervisor just blankly told me that nothing can be done till i pay some more money,so i find these customer person think we people are fools, no proper protcal is followed they give false promises to customes. what to do with such customers care guys. I feel my wife and I have been cheated.

Airtel India/Prepaid — Poor Service

Hi I would like to bring to the notice of the person or whoever sees to the complaints written by the airtel users.Before i had the airtel connection i thought that it was the #1 prepaid connection but once i started using it i was very well known to me that airtel is one of the most worst mobile connection provided to users in termes of customer care services and in terms of each and every service which the airtel company provides.I am very unhappy with the kind of service provided.

What happened was when i took the airtel connection as all my friends and family members had the same i applied for the prepaid connection for which i had to provide the documents and after that my prepaid service was started not more than a week was over and i received a message from airtel that your documents are not received and your service will be disabled if documents are not provide within 48 hrs to nearest airtel branch

When i went to airtel branch they gave me a form to fill up and said that we require the same documents again and your service will be started.After i provied the documents they said you are not a resident of the city from where you bought the prepaid connection and so you need to provide an ID proof.I didn't understand that if i am a native of a city which is in Maharashtra and if i am buying a sim card from some other city within maharashtra by providing the necessary documents so why are they creating such an issue .

Also the other problem is that with the customer care service .It's one of the most Horrible and Worst service that i have come across.I did an E-Recharge of 98 for 10 paise calling on airtel to airtel phone number.The validity was for 6 months as per the shopkeeper from where i did the recharge .The service continued upto april 08/04/08 and was suddenly stopped .When contacted the customer care for 1st time they told your service is till on but you might have called a little early before 10 PM. as 10 paise calling starts after 10'o clock.when i told that particular person that everyday when it's 10 then only i do the calling but he was not listening and was going on telling one and the same thing.When tried for second time as still the problem was on this time some other person assissted and said that the service was deactivated .I really don't understand what type of service they actually provide.

Since a couple of months i have not been able to call quite a few numbers from my mobile. I made several complaints including at their franchisee office. They are prompt in sending an SMS that the complaint will be looked into within fixed time (24 hrs or so) That's it after that no communication whatsoever. Recently i tried their complaint number 121. Even that number i could not get. Now i have sent an SMS as a last try to set the things right, failing which i have decided to change the service provider.

AirTel — Quality of customer service

I am really dissatisfied with the quality of customer service in airtel... the system itself is faulty, when we dial 121.. we are just asked to run between options such as 2 or 1 or 7 etc.. but never reach a customer care person. If after half an hour of continuous effort, u r lucky enough to reach the cc person, then u realise, that the guys lack professionalism, no knowledge on the services provided by airtel and its procedures, and habit of hearing abuses wich seems that they are not willing to improve even after daily doses of abuses, no sense of service the customers...
the story at airtel local offices is no better.. even they do not know much on the services.. utter confusion..and lack of coordination with airtel centers..
Sorry to say, its nothing better than pathetic..this needs to be improved if airtel needs to maintain its market leadership in india

Airtel India — Poor Quality Service

I had an Airtel prepaid mobile connection([protected]) and i got a call from Airtel ,offering me a migration to postpaid service for which my documents were duly collected in first week of december. The company collected 300 rs from me for the migration and my account balance at that time was 340 in prepaid. My service was activated around 10th of December and i received a message that my documents were incomplete and i was to resubmit my documents at customer care center at Whitefield. I complied for the same and resubmitted my documents on 16th December 2009. Despite best efforts from my side Airtel deactivated my number on 22nd Dec 2009. After great difficulty and atleast 30 calls the connection was activated on 29th Dec 2009. The service has been deactivated again today. I want my money back and a compensation of rs 10000 for the agony and inconvinience caused by extremely indifferent and unprofessional approach of Airtel.

Airtel - Mobile Service — Poorest Customer Service

I am an airtel postpaid customer, repeatedly disappointed and frustrated with the kind of service provided to me in many aspects. I held an airtel postpaid corporate number, recently requested through an airtel official of a particualr bill plan.

My very first month's bill had been generated entirely wrong, with a wrong bill plan. I had requested it to be corrected and sent. A simple request for revision of bill.

It has been repeated poor service since then. Every single day, I had been receiving more than 2 calls, Every single time, a new person spoke. And I had to repeat the entire story of what the issue is. And every time the response was 'We'll get back to you'. The next call, I heard that I had not paid my bill on time. That's all they knew. Not even a single person from the customer care noted my complaint properly, till date. The huge number of calls and mails I had done were of no use. In spite of repeated explanations, without any notice, my airtel connection had been disconnected, messages and calls had been barred for no fault of mine.

I kept receiving continuous bills with increased amount each time, but not even a single time, my actual complaint or query was answered. They expected me to pay the amount they stated bindly.

My connection has been totally terminated now, again abruptly. Thanks to the excellent service provided by Airtel.
my experience with airtel is really horrible.I took this no on my one of my collegeu's name(that too suggested by airtel sales person) because of insufficiency of document at that moment.After that I requested customer care to change the number owner's name .but they refused to do so.from the last 6 months i started getting calls daily in odd times(including 12 at night) from customer care asking about my colleague because they said that he had some amount due .n it continues sometimes from lawyers shouted abuse at me.I have no contact with him & informed customer care multiple times but got no response. For the two months I was out of station,and when I came back,they already cancelled my no without any request from my side.Brilliant job done by customer care executive.
Now respected customer care experts, "Please Activate the online account for [protected] so that I can pay my 2 month's due online which i delayed because of this harrassment" .I am not able to view my previous payment history.

I donot understand how airtel hire their employee.Employees in customer care donot even know how to talk to a customer.They are expert NOT in customer service & problem solving but in shouting abuse at customers.The harassment I had to face from airtel for the last 2/3 months that too for other person's connection is unbelievable.In future for sure none of my family members will ever use airtel service.They are going to drop existing connection.I did 2 mistakes..1)decided to take airtel service.2)agreed to take connecction on some other person's name.

Airtel prepaid mobile — Very Very Poor Customer service

Airtel has got such a bad customer service, rather they should not have a customer service.. I don't know what the heck these guys are for... I activated a booster pack to get some 4k sms free but the hell it charged me for delivery report.. i activated a booster pack to get free internet for 24hrs.. the hell they charge me more... whats more they .. Well it would have been fine if the customer service atleast told me what the issue was.. but heck they don't even bother to listen.. they want to just play and have fun!! And if they are not interested to talk to us "the great ears of customer care reps" are bored and the hell they DISCONNECT the call without even hearing us.. what more distressing is that they charge us for every call made to the customer care reps..help me ..Finally when i got hold of someone i request them to connect me to their manager.. but they don't because simply they don't want to do that... I want to talk to BHARTI MITTAL and plead him to better the quality of customer care service... See Bharti sir thing is, a lot of the fault which your Airtel has can be alleviated by having a good customer care. We are ready to adjust , if you are ready to listen.. Anyhow I am so frustated and tired after my ordeal with Airtel that i am never going to go for Airtel again and also make sure none of my friends get any thing with Airtel.

Airtel Prepaid — Prepaid mobile recharge, Poor customer service

Dear Sir

I have recharged my mobile +91 [protected] for Rs. 50/- by online internet bank recharge, with transaction ID
BIL /[protected] / 0103 /[protected]/91990 on 4th Jan, 2011. I have received SMS msg that Rs 43.33 will be recharged after 30 mins from Airtel. But the balance has not been updated even till now. I lodged a complaint to Airtel from my mobile, and after two days I was informed that due to some technical reasons, the mobile was not recharged and the amount will be credited back to the Bank. As on today, the amount also is not credited to the account. So I requested you to either recharge the mobile or credit back the amount to the account.

When I spoke to the customer care 121, the customer service executives are so arrogant and never provided a satisfactory answer. Above all, they were disconnecting the call, without even having the courtesy. Do they realize the fact that customers are paying money to talk to them? They make a blank statement, "Sir, the mobile is not rechargd". Is this the answer we expect from a customer service executive?

The need of the hour is to teach the CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS to all customer service executives. This is not an expected behaviour from them. Do they recognize that the customer is paying for the call? I had to spend so much of money to talk to them, that is only to get arrogant and irresponsible answers.

So I request you to kindly do the needful.

Yes I agree with Nageswara I really wanted to complaint about the customer service representative.They were very rude and if they don't have the answer they will just disconnect the line .they don, t really value the customer and don't really realize that they are paid just because we are there for them .They should really Improved their customer service or they are going to loose millions of customer.This is India like us many would have face the same response from the customer service but again no one dare to complaint about them. If any one has the same issue please call me at my number [protected] though am still using airtel am not satisfied with the customer service representative..They are really sucks..
