[Resolved]  Barclay Bank (Credit Card Division) — Unauthorised amount transfer

Dear Sir,
I am Mallikarjuna Khelgi, Barclay credit card holder since 20th Aug 2008.

After few days I got a call from Barcaly bank saying that you got holiday package, club for
selected members like you.Same time I told him that I am not intrested to go to club, holiday etc.
That time he didnt reveal any cost for this package.I didnot agree to pay any amount.

But after few days I got sms ie. your barclaycard statement has been generated on 08/11/08 and
will reach you in the next few days, Total Due:6741.60 DR Min Due:340 and due date is 28/11/08.

I surprised after reading that sms, how it possible I have not used it at all.

Then I called customer care regarding this they told me that this amount has been transfered to
Barclaycard Priority circle.How they can transfer such a bulk amount without my authorisation/without my
knowledge.I am concerned to Barcaly Bank not Barclaycard priority circle.

customer care executive saying that
"Barclaycard priority circle recording conversation over the phone and taking this amount from
barclay credit card".


This is the first bank doing such type of business, Barclaycard priority circle belongs to Barclay
bank itself but different division.

I am requesting you to please cancel this membership and credit the amount to barclaycredit card.

Barclay Bank(Credit card division) — Incorrect late fees on my card no:-433948221847436

I had applied for a card with barclay's bak and the same was recd by me somewhere in the month of March'08. The first transaction that i made on my card was somewhere in the month of March or April for an amount of Rs.535/-.
Since it was my first billing cycle i was not aware of the due date for my card, and since i did not recieve my first bill for the month, i only came to know about the payment when i recieved a call from barclay's about my outstanding amount.
I informed the concerned person also that i haven't recd my statement and i immediately went a ndeposited teh amount for my card.
Since then i have been regularly recieving statements for late fees for my card, i took this matter up with barclays also and informed them about the issue.
After following up for two months, in the month of Jun i recd a mail from barclays stating that the charges would be revered and the same would be reflected in my next months bill.
But again the issue remains the same, now the situation is like for the past eight months i am following for this issue and the outsating amount for my card has been increased to 4, 000/- approx.
not to forget i have also been recieveing numerous calls from the call centre and the IVR also besides uncountable SMS in the same regards.

It would be really kind of you if you could get me out of this, i want to know what was my fault, was it a crime to apply for a card with barclays, if no then why am i being harrasad like this. each day i recieve atleast two to three calls on an average

Dear Sir,

By your April 2009 statement I was entitled to pay an amount of Rs.4, 128.96 and the last date of payment was 9.5.2009. I had sent the said amount on time by Bank of India Cheque drawn on Kalbadevi Branch for Rs.4, 129/- which was duly received by you. In your statement for May 2009, you had demanded late fee for Rs.4, 129/-. On receiveing the statement i had immediately called your Customer Service and apprised correct position to one Miss Kinjal, was on line and she said that late payment amount will be waived If I pay the amount due in May 2009 statement amounting to Rs.514/- in cash. I agreed to her assurance and shesent one Mr Amit Pandey to collect Rs.514/- in cash. I paid the said amount to him and obtained stamped receipt.

That in your June 2009 statement you have demanded Rs.1, 304.74p as previous balance which includes late fee and interest which is not correct and further you have demanded Rs.100/- cash collecting charges from me, totally amounting to Rs.2, 107.42. I was surprised toget this statement inspite of the fact that you had agreed and assured to waive late payment fee along with interest thereon. After receiving the said statement I again called your Customer Service and one MissArchana Rane was on the line. I explained to her what had transpired between me and miss Kinjal and how Ms Kinjal had assured that late payment fee and interest will be waived on cash payment of Rs.514/-.

Miss Archana Rane refused to accept that I had communicated to her and insisted that I pay the namount as demanded in the statement which is totally unfair and unreasonable.

From your records you will find all my dues arepaid in time and the amount due for May 18, 2009 to 19.6.09 is Rs.1, 148/- which I am sending by cheque and in case you insist on your unreasonable demand you are called upon to discontinue my credit card facility forthwith. Further I am not agreed and willing to concede illegal and unreasonable demand.
