INSPITE OF THIS I'HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY COMMUNICATION TILL DATE. BUT REGULARLY IAM GETTING THE SMS & CALLS FROM BARCLAYS CALL CENTRE TOWARDS THE OUTSTANDING PAYMENT. AND ALSO GETTING THE BILL FOR OUTSTANDING PAYMENT ALONG WITH FINANCIAL CHARGES. FINALLY I HAVE RECEIVED A LETTER DT.03.12.08 STATING THAT MY INFORMATION OF NON PAYMENT HAS BEEN REPORTED TO CIBIL WHICH IS TOTALLY UNFAIR ON PART OF THE BANK AS A GENUINE CUSTOMER IS BEEN MENTALLY HARASSED & FORCE TO PAY THE PAYMENT.IF I DO NOT NOT RECEIVE THE CONCRETE REPLY & THE MATTER WHICH YOU HAVE FORWARDED TO CIBIL IS NOT WITHDRAWN. Barclay Credit Card — Regarding misguided by call centre

Dear Sir,
I have paid my due amount by cheque of amount 35, 000/- through Dena bank on March 2008.
I got message that my cheque has not been released then i called to call centre they told me that they have received my due payment. Now i came to know that due has been increaed . I am not able to pay any more amount. Plz clarify it.

BARCLAYS BANK CREDIT CARD. BARCLAYS PRIORITY CIRCLE - OFFER — NON RECEIPT OF THE OFFER - DEMANDING FOR THE PAYMENT.

Dear Sir,

with reference to this matter i have been promised through recorded systems that i will be getting a strolly Bag & voucher worth rs.40000/- immediately within 3 days on the acceptance from the recorded call message i have been informed that i have to made a payment Rs.5000/- has to be made after receipt of this acheme. i have not received aby scheme from your end but i was surprised to receive the statetment showing that i have to pay the sum of Rs.500/- towards the sceheme. i called to barclays call centre (to Hemani on dt.16.09.08 reference no.[protected] & have been informed the matter will be reverted to me within 2 - 3 days but there was no response.

after this i didn't get aby response so i mailed a complaint to head service Ms.Santanu datta on dt.04.10.08 and i received a mail on dt.20.10.08 stating that i will be receive the response from the correspondence Unit in the next 7 woring days. in spite of your mail i have not received any commmunication from any of the department. i have communicated through mail that i have not receoived any response from your end. but in between i have been receiving several numbers of calls 7 SMS towards oayment of this amount (priority Circle Payment) & have been putinto unnecessary Mental Stress & Harassment.

again on Dt.23.10.08 i have communicated through mail that immediate action should be taken from your end in this regar but no response was there to my mail 7 on dt.24.10.08 i have made a complaint through telecom to barclays customer care service wide complaint no. CAS 237545 & complaint received by Reshma. again on dt.04.11.08 i have made another complaint wide reference no. CAS 306945 & complaint received by Anuya. after all this process also day to day i have been put into mental stress, which has been become the health hazardous to me. in the mean time i have received SMS that my above said Card has been suspended due to non payment. please note that false promises are being made & no recorded evidence of our conversation has been heard to me till date in spite of my request nor any reply has been received or communicated to me.

in spite of this my several communications through mails, Calls Etc., i have received your latest statement of Nill showing outstanding amount rs.6510 (including prorated Credit Interest, late payment Fee, Service Tax debit interest & Service Tax etc., )

i have been informed in the bill that my account has been suspended until my payment received by you. please note that if you not revert that total outstaning amount of rs.6510/- i will be constrained to take immediate legal action for my mental stress Harassment & unnecessary tension being put on me.

we have already paid amount of rs. 13080/- on 20.08.08 after excludiong the offer amount againt statement dt.02.08.08 & have been harassed daily to pay the amount otherwise i have been informed that i will be put in the defaulter list of CIBIL. please note that this i have been misguided through recorded system that i will be getting the scheme within 3 days on acceptance of recorded discussion. the payment has to me made only after receipt of this scheme. no sceheme received and iam not liable to pay any amount for this scheme.

    Hi,

    I hold the Barclaycard, Before 6 months back I called the customer care to cancel the card and one of the customer care executive told if you pay the pending amount of 2194/- than we will cancel the card. but from last three months I am getting the Automated calls from barclay credit cards department regarding the late payment for six months.I am getting around 5 calls on daily basis and 5-10 msgs.

    Credit Card — BarclayCard

    One fine morning I received My credit card statement. I was going through its details and I found The company have added 6000 Rs as Barcalay priority circle charge also 500 overcharge . This overcharge was due to crossing the limit which crossed because they have added 6000 rs. Realising that this was due to mistake they removed this 6000Rs from that months statement, but they didnot remove 500 Rs occured due to there fault. Several times I told them that I dont want barcalay priority circle but they added 6000 in next month
    Company overchared me 500 rs and inspite of repeated reminders and mails they are just telling that they have sent this matter to concerned department and matter will be dealt with. I even asked them to tell on which date I have crossed limit but with no reply.
    Never take Barclay Credit card. Their service is the worst. Spl. if you are not staying in Mumbai don't take it. Otherwise you will end up paying hundreds of Rs just towards telephone charges as they don't have service center else ware. Another thing is they charge you sky as late payment & finance charges. When I spent Rs 1000/- they charged me Rs 600 /- towards late payment. This is their true color !!

    On multiple requests also their answer is they are ready to loose a customer rather than reverting the charges.

    I am having Barclays Gold credit card from last 1 year. My Barclays credit card no.[protected].I withdraw of Rs.9000/- in the month May 2008.I have paid amount as follows:-

    I talk to customer care executive on Tel no.[protected] regarding stopped credit card. But they are saying we cannot stop your card. You have to pay all amount.

    I am not capable to pay this much amout. Please look in this matter.
    Please help me out.

      Hello There,

      I have also faced problems form the Barclays Credit Card. I think that this is the most useless and fraud bank in INDIA. Actually i made an internet transaction for Rs.60, 000/-. This transaction was on an international webiste. And i called the customer care to make EMIs for the same transcation, they took my request and told me that u will get the confirmation call and after that it will be converted into EMI. I got the confirmation call that my transaction has been converted into EMI.

      But when i saw the next billing statement there was no sign of EMI, instead they have charged me interest for around Rs.4200/-. Then i called the customer care and enquired about my EMI and i was shocked to hear this, the operator said that this is an international transcation and that can not be converted into EMI. And said that we have not made any confirmation call to u.

      I THINK THEY HAVE ONLY OPENED THE BANK TO CHEAT PEOPLE OF INDIA.

        Dear all,

        Please don't go for Barclaycard. These people lure you to go for their cards. When you pay the dues mentioned in the statements, they deliberately take time for depositing cheques and charge you for late payment.

        I had paid the principal due amount well before the due date but still I get the statements that the payment was made late so have to pay for late fees. I had tried to call the customer care(?) no. in Mumbai but it is always busy. Hence I opted for email (aroud 7-8 times) but I am yet to receive any response from them.

        I have cut the card and returned it in August '08 but so far have not received any communication from them.

          Unnecessary late charges
          Sir,

          I have paid my (times) Barcalys credit card ([protected]) bill amoun of RS 1008 of due date 22-sep-08 & 22-oct-2008 through dropping cheque with dated 18th of every month in drop boxes. The cheque was cleared on 28-sep-08or 26 oct 2008 and unfortunately I was got late charges on my next bill. I communicate with there one of the executive named as ijaz to reverse the late payment. The executive said that they cannt reversed as per bank policy as the payment was cleared on 28 -sep-2008 & 26-oct-2008. He also confirmed that the cheque was received by the bank on 21-sep-2008 & 20-oct-2008 well before the due date (22-sep-08or 22-oct-2008) and it was clear on 28th, "I dont know why I was got penalty for there mistake".

          So please any one help me to reverse the unnecessary late charges amount of Rs (600+600=1200), so I am happy to continue to use the card

          Barclays Credit Card — Unnecessary late charges

          Sir,

          I have paid my (V Soundarajan) Barcalys credit card ([protected]) bill amoun of RS 930 of due date 22-Apr-08 through dropping cheque with dated 20-Apr-08 in drop boxes. The cheque was cleared on 28-Apr-08 and unfortunately I was got late charges on my next bill. I communicate with there one of the executive named as ijaz to reverse the late payment. The executive said that they cannt reversed as per bank policy as the payment was cleared on 28-Apr-08. He also confirmed that the cheque was received by the bank on 11-Apr-08 well before the due date (22-Apr-08) and it was clear on 28th, "I dont know why I was got penalty for there mistake".

          So please any one help me to reverse the unnecessary late charges amount of Rs 383.41, so I am happy to continue to use the card

          I have paid my (A Pavan) Barcalys credit card ([protected]) bill amoun of RS 2300 of due date 30-july-08 through dropping cheque with dated 23-july-08 in drop boxes. The cheque was not cleared and later get a call from customer care saying u need to write Barcalys pvts lmt and then the number were i paid my last three months writing barclays card number... ...I said no body informed me about the change and later agred to pay but they are charging me intrest on intrest .

            Dear Sir,

            I, Vikram Bandodkar holding a barclays credit card have been charged an amount of 6741/- as member ship fee from Barclays Priority circle which was not told to me at the time of the call from the barclays exceutive from delhi.

            I asked them many times if this offer is free and they said you are with 9 lucky customers picked from Pune and its absoultely free. They also said i will receive a trolley bag worth Rs 2000 in two weeks and told many offers. They never told anything about the membership charges.

            I have called the braclays priority circle customer care and told them this membership charges were not informed to me and i have not even used the card once. I asked them to revert/cancel the amount from my card but they are not ready to do it.

            Barclays bank is cheating innocent people like me without giving complete info about the schemes and this is a fraud.

            I want this case to be solved legally and seek your support. People involved in this fraud should be punished.

            I was the victim of same fraud..
            Just register the online complain on Consumer forum site and RBI site.
            I did the same and they have reversed all BPC charges along with late fee within 15 days.
            This is the only legal way to fight with these .calling to them and mailing to them is useless ..

              Barclays card has billed me for Rs. 6000, 00 for their promotional offers which I don't need.
              I am low income & honest guy and spent according to my pocket.
              This is not fair that these people are doing. They have unnecessarily billed for their promotionla offer which I do not need.
              I will use my card according to my need and pocket not unnecessarily.
              I am very upset after it came to my knowledge.
              I have called the Bank many times since Oct08 but did'nt received any possitive response and any reference no.
              Please help me to get this transaction reversed.

                I am holding this card since last 6 month, When i get this Credit Card from Barclays that time i am used it for fuel of Rs. 220/- with this amount my first Statement was generated and i am getting this statement in time, after that i was paid full payment of Rs. 220/- by cheque and droped in skypack. when i was gettingthe next Statement with late payment fees of Rs. 500/- and Service tax. I was contect in customer care department but the Telephone No. was not working properly and the msg. i am getting system is upgrade. after that regulary i was contect the customer care and finance department but nobody co oparte me and during this time my total out standing is Rs. 3, 500/-. During this procidure before one month i receive a call from finance Department and executive told me pls. pay minimum dues of Rs. 540/- pay and they are my out standing amount will be wave and adjusted in my next Statement, I agree with him and i was again paid of Rs. 540/- by cheque. But still this date i am not getting my clear statement. my Credit Card Was alredy Suspended after one statement. I am useing of Just Rs. 220/- and I paid Total Rs. 220/- + Rs. 540/- = Rs.760/-. you can under stand I am alredy excess paid but stil this date i am not satisfied with this Credit Card. I request please first understand the customers problem and co oprate them. I hope this time will be very crusial in financial position of all people. Plese co operate them and solve their problems. All persons are not cheter. Please help us.

                  Dear Sir,
                  My name is Amiya Bhusana Sahoo. I am a Barclay cardholder having card no:

                  (Sub: - Please revert my credit card bill amount of card no: [protected])

                  I got several calls from Barclay card Priority circle 2-3 months ago. They told me that your card has nominated for membership and informed me about the offers. When I asked them is there any extra charges for this, they told me with the same card with no extra charges they are providing the facility that’s why I had given my consent. On November 25th I got a message that your credit statement has been generated. Your total due is Rs: 6741.60.
                  Then I called the priority circle customer care and told them to cancel the membership because at the time of call they have told me ‘there is no extra charge for it’.

                  Since I have got the message on 25 of Nov so I can cancel the membership within 21 days. But they are telling me the amount is debited from your card on 28 of October. When I came to know through message it has already been 21 days.

                  They don’t have the facility to view the statement online. So how one can know when the amount is deducted from his card? and they are sending me the SMS after 21 days so that I won’t be able to cancel it.

                  I am not a single person who has faced the problem; I have found the reviews written in http://www.mouthshut.com and http://www.consumercomplaints.in/complaints/barclay-c112372.html a lot of people are harassed by Barclay credit card priority circle scheme.

                  Another thing I have not got my credit card statement yet (6th Dec). But in the SMS it is showing it has been delivered on 25 Nov.

                  I have read from forums written in http://www.mouthshut.com and http://www.consumercomplaints.in/complaints/barclay-c112372.html that those people who have paid the amount have not go trolley bag yet even after 6 months. Since I am not getting my statement in my address how can I trust trolley bag and holiday voucher will reach in my address? People have not got bag after 6 month how can I believe them that all the gifts will delivered in 2 weeks of payment. ?

                  Please help me against malpractices in transaction of Barclays Card services.

                  Barclays Credit Card — cancellation of priority circle membership

                  i have not given my consent for priority circle membership which is charged to me as an amount of 6741rs. i have mailed two complains in last 15 days to cancel my membership, but there is no response. i have been calling to the priority circle daily and no one is picking up the phone. i have also called the customer care and lodged two complains but still no response. if the barclays' concerned department don't contant me and cancel my priority circle membership amount as soon as possible, then i have no other way than to go to the consumer court for help and also charge them for harassment and the amount i have spend in phone to contact them.

                  Barclays Credit Card — Unrequested Priority Circle membership cancellation

                  I am holding an credit card no.: [protected] I had received calls from your executives regarding PCM. They told me my number is selected for PCM and they told explain me about facility of Priority Circle Membership but they have not told me any thing regarding the membership fees that I have to pay Rs.5000/- + Service Tax for PCM membership and I have not agreed for membership but then I had a doubt so I spoke to one of their executive about the membership they told me that this facility will be activate after my 1st payment but he didn't cleared that I have to pay saprately Rs.5000/- + service tax for the PCM. when I come to know about membership fees I requested for cancellation of membership but Barclays people says that PCM can not get cancel, I have mailed also to the Barclays regarding the cancellation of membership but yet I have not received any kind of feedback. So I request that please help me to cancel priority circle membership and Service Tax lavid for the same.

                  The same thing happend with me as well for which i had written below mail to [protected]@barclays.com with an hope that they would do something.

                  Hi,

                  This is regarding the unacceptance of proirity circle.

                  I had first got a call from priority session stating that my card has been selected for some gift as stated in below mail but at that time even after continuously asking whether any cost is involved, I was clearly told that you have to pay nothing.
                  Later after few days I got a confirming call again for the gift wherein they told me about the charges which I was earlier not aware of. Later after hearing the cost I refused to accept the offer.
                  After few days again I got a call wherein I clearly told them that I am not interested in the offer as cost is involved in that, which I don’t want to pay. So they told me that its fine.

                  Even after I had clearly stated that i m not accepting the offer if any cost is involved to their executives, I have been charged Rs. 6741.60.
                  When i called up priority circle executive "Monica Chawla" on[protected], she told me that she can't revert this amount back. When I asked her higher authorities number to speak upon this, she didn't agree to give the number as well. I tried explaining this to your barclays phone banking executives as well wherein they too told me that they can't do anything till proirity circle's cancel the amount from their end.

                  Barclays bank has tie up with this priority due to which they get our mobile numbers to call, so you people have to take action against this, as you both people can't fool around unnecessary to the credit card holders this way. I, in anyways won't be paying a single penny at any cost for this. I even request you to cancel this credit card as I dont have trust with your barclays bank now to use this card in future.

                  Please look into this matter on proirty basis & revert back.

                  Just register the online complain on Consumer forum site and RBI site.
                  I did the same and they have reversed all BPC charges along with late fee within 15 days.
                  This is the only legal way to fight with these .calling to them and mailing to them is useless ..
                  I was victim of same fraud.

                  It happened in Feb 2008.
                  I didn't receive any welcome kit or refund till date.

                  I request that please help me to cancel priority circle membership and Service Tax lavid for the same.

                  But againg its not stopped am still geting a call and message saying i will be marked on poor Cbill rate . Please help me to come out from this,

How can I make the payment immediately? and threatening and torturing me over mobile Phone and land line phone. Not only that He has told me that he will kill my family. What is this ???. Bank cannot do this legally this type of harassment. My purchase amount most probably for Rs.8000/- to 9000/- approximately. He is disturbing my Employer also., that will effect in my service. I am a very middleclass family. I am agree to pay the minimum amount due in monthly basis. I am asking for statement But he is denied to give me the statement .Continuously he is telling me to make the payment at a time, otherwise they will attack me with their team. Please help me from Goonda of Barclay bank. Only because of raising late payment fees and service charges and to raise the higher bill, the they have made this type of incident.                     Barclaycard - credit card — Harassments regarding credit card payment from Barclaycard

                    Dear Sir,

                    This is to infrorm you that I have a Credit Card of Barclaycard since last six months. I have used it only two times. I have paid all my out standing dues on 27th March, 2009. I am staying at Ahmedabad. I have been paid my last due full payment of Rs.15, 500=00 by cheque. I have receipt of the same with me. That time the last date for payment was 28th March, 09. I have paid the above cheque at Collection Agency angaged by Brclaycard in Ahmedabad, (Near C U Shah Collage), Off Ashram Road, Ahmedabad. After that they have send me next month statement with late charge and intrest charge. I have called them about the same, but they have replied me that my cheque is cleared on 4th of April, 09 so that you have to pay late charge and intrest charge. But as I mentioned above that I have already paid within the time. They have submitted late in Bank so that is not my folt. Now they are sending me statement and also send SMS on my mobile regarding the payment and Harassing me. Please do need ful for me. My details are as below.

                    I want to terminat this card, so I called today on dated[protected] to custumer care of Barclaycard, but they are telling me that if you will not pay the due payment it will be increase every month you can not stop it. This is not fare things.

                      I bought a ticket from New Delhi to Jammu on 12th of November 2007 from REDBUS.The journey was fixed on 16 th of November 2007

                      The amount of the ticket was INR1530.As it was for two persons Each Costs INR 750+Texes.I paid the amount through Barclay card

                      The amount should be debited INR 1500+30=1530 but in my statement I find that the INR 1530 has been debited twice.


                      redbus is saying that they did not taken out the amount twice if so they have refunded Attached a confirmation letter from them.
                      I never got this money back i have sent them thousends of mails even a letter thru court but no reply.

                          Hi,

                          I am a barclays credit card holder. But i am not a regular user of this card, i am using the same to pay my fees only. They had come up with a Priority Circle scheme wherein they promised me to give complimentary gift. I asked them that why they had selected my no? as i am not a regular. They told me that the no. had selected randomly, but they did not tell me about the charges for this particular scheme. When i received the statement, they straight away debited INR 6000 alongwith service tax of INR 741.
                          I inquired about the charges then they said its a membership charges for the scheme. I told them, that the same would not informed me previously. The executive said, we will verify your call from our quality dept, & if there is any fake commitment from our side we will reverse those charges. Again i called customer care after 2-3 days to know the status, that time the other customer executive said, we have verified the call, & the charges were informed to you by our sales executive. When i asked to hear that call they said we won't do the same.

                          How would i know that they had informed me such charges before verifying at my end? How can i trust on them because my call was transferred to 2-3 executives? And about the complimentary gift the same is not received till date.

                          barclays card — Cheating

                          Dear Sir,


                          This is in reference to my various teletalk with customer executives since last 2 months. Since I am not getting any proper information from the credit card department, I would like to discontinue the service and request to kindly send the extra amount of Rs. 73/- which I have paid at the earliest.



                          I have been using various credit cards like Citibank, ICICI etc since last 10 years and not faced such a problem by this services. You can also check with them as I am not a defaulter or late payment maker since last 8 years. They are sending regular bills in time and there is no late payment from my side.



                          I got a credit card of Barclays bank in the month of June 2008 with various offers. To just start your services, I used this card with a purchase of small amount of Rs. 207/-After that I have been waiting for the bill for making the payment. I could not understand what is the billing circle and date of payment that is why I paid an amount of Rs. 280/- (which I could understand later that I paid additional amount of Rs. 73/- without knowing due to non receipt of bill) after that I called your customer service twice and could understand that the billing circle and payment date. At the same time I have requested them that since I don’t have any idea on the billing circle you should not charge any late payment for this and send a new bill mentioning Rs. 73/- as a credit.



                          You can understand that if I am not making any payment to the regular bills it is my fault. But this is due to your mistake that you are not sending any bill and without any bill how can I make the payment ? That is why I contacted your customer service after making an additional amount of Rs. 73/-.



                          You can also understand through your common sense that if I have received the bill in time, it is not a matter of making such a small amount of Rs. 207/- to you at that time and do not want to wait for any late payment. This may be also right, if I have been making irregular payment on receipt of repeated bill or so. Till date I have not received any bill, I am getting only SMS on my mobile that you have to make this payment by adding late fees.



                          You can see that on purchase of Rs. 200/- why should I wait for making Rs. 800/- as a late fee !!!



                          Since I am using your service first time, and the first impression of your service is like this way, I don’t want to continue your service and want to cancel the card. Even your customer executives are also not in a position to talk with their customers in a good manner to manage the problem. You are therefore requested to send the balance amount of Rs. 73/- which I have paid to you extra without knowing my bill amount at the earliest.



                          Even though I have informed this detail to your customer executive earlier, there is no meaning of adding late payment by every month when I am not interested to continue your card. So please take a not on the same and if I want to continue to use your card please send a fresh bill to me by crediting Rs. 73/- in my account and confirm at the earliest.

                          All this information is already passed to your customer executive

They claim that they have not received the cheque and they charged me penalty. I beleive Barclays is prcaticing Unfair trade practices and cheating the Public

                          Barclays bank Credit card — Cheating and Fraud by Barclays Bank

                          Hi,
                          I hold a Barclays bank Creditr card since start of this year. I was approched by the bank for their Priority circle scheme. They were to provide some vouchers and Trolley bag worth 2200 onthe scheme . They charged me INR 5618/ for the same and was paid by me in May 2008. Till date i have not received any thing from Barclays. I have called them numerous times and have written to their service desk, yet their only response is they are looking into the matter. I requested them to revert the charges as they unable to provide the service, their response is that they cannot return the money. THIS IS PURE CHEATING ! ! These people stoop so low ! . I have time and agian told them that they are cheating people Blatanly ! !
                          Further this month i paid the monthly cycle amount by cheque and dropping the cheque in the designated cheque box. Barclays people claim that they have not received the cheques and have charged me Penalty and late payment charges. Barclays are bunch of crooks who stoop so low to cheat people.
                          I would appreciate if they look in to matter and clear the mess they have created

                          My name is Srinivas Kumar Boggavarapu. I am a Barclaycard Holder with the card # ending with 7981.

                          I have received a phone call about 20 days back saying that your back is offering me a starter package gift as I have newly joint in as a Barclaycard member and I will be sent a gift packet and some package vouchers and I have asked them if I had to pay anything and they said it was an offer given by the bank as a new comer gift and it is obsoletely free of cost and asked me the card details and when I inquired them about the why they were asking me the details they said it was a verification process and I asked them to send it only if it is really free and they are not going to charge me anything through the card or so... and they said it was absolutely free of cost.

                          Now today I have received a message [SMS} saying that “Dear customer, your Barclaycard statement has been delivered on 03/11/08 by EXPRESS IT courier vide POD # 66048620.” Which I have not received till date and when I called your service # 60004444 they informed me that it is not a free package, but I was charged something around Rs 6, 700/- for that and that amount has been debited in my card account and I was shocked and told them what has happened and they gave me three numbers,[protected],[protected], and[protected] to contact and inform them to cancel the registration and I reverse the entry of debit so that it does not effect my account., which I was trying from morning, but could not get any response. So, I again called #60004444 and they gave me the e.mail ID and asked me to forward a mail to you people.

                          So I request you who ever is concenenig about this to please cancle that order or whatever it is and revert that amount back as credit to my card account, as I will not be in a position to pay it at any cost. As it will be cheating me if you people were debiting it. I am a small salaried employee and I will not be in a position to bare such things. I have told that it was a gift from the bank as we have joined newly as the Barclaycard members.

                          Please do the need full and help me out or else I will be in no way able to pay you people the amount.

                          Barclays Credit Card — CHEATING CUSTOMERS

                          Barclays is cheating the customers by simply taking all the documents from the customers who want to apply for the card and misutilising the information for other purposes.

                          Barclays just takes the documents when you want to apply for the credit card and they dont respond to your application at later stage and there is chance of misutlisation of the documents taken.

                          They are passing on the mobile numbers to marketing executives outside and making money. so be careful and dont ever apply for Barclays credit card.

                          This is very critical problem with Barclays Credit Card Priority Fee and I was calling in the Barclays Credit Priority fees Custumer executive there is no response for the long times and there is waiting for 1 and 2 hours and Custumer charges for the pay of mobile charges and there is no toll free number so please reply reg my complaint.

                          This is to inform you that I have been cheated by barclays credit card people.
                          The details are mentioned below in my first ever comlaint made to these people. I am not answered by any person in connection to my complaint.
                          But these people are busy harassing and messaging me to make the payment and threatening me to list my name in CIBIL asto I wont be able to take new credit card and loans in future.
                          So far I have made 4 complaints with the customer care dept, 4 complaints with the barclays priority circle dept and 4 to 5 complaints with the recovery department for the same and I have made 8 complaints on the following email id's of barclay credit card dept:

                          2. "service1" <[protected]@barclaycard.com>,
                          3. "service2" <[protected]@barclays.com>
                          I always asked for an intermediary person between barclays customer care dept, barclays priority circle dept and recovery dept to speak to me and stop harassing me diverting me to every dept.
                          The idea of complaining to you came from a news channel who give solutions of various credit card functionings where another person had called them for the similar complaint and he was advised to complain in RBI
                          Please help me out of this.

                          This is to inform you that I had received a call from your customer care saying I have been selected for a package of 3 gifts which I remember was a package of a leather bag, a stay in different hotels and locations and third package which I dont recollect. After all this information I was told one of the manager would give me a call and fix an appointment and let me know the procedure of this entire package all about.
                          In a few days I received messages in a span of 4 - 5 days about a priority circle which I deleted twice and at the third message I replied to th message saying yes considering that this would be a way of the appointment or would become an invitation in attempt to announce the package to all under one roof. Then again I deleted the message after replying. On 20 oct 2008 I received an sms from barclays that my statement has been generated on 11/10/08 and will reach me in the next few days. Total Due Rs 6714.26/-
                          I contacted your customer care department and informed that I have not swiped my card for any purchases in the month of september or August what is the bill all about? He said it the card was swiped for Rs 6000/- and 714/- as some charges. Shocking!!!
                          I registered my complaint with the same person mentioning him the above related matter. He took my complaint and gave me the complaint ref. no as CAF2090028X and said I will get a reply back in 7 working days.
                          Do I trust your customer care?????

                          I Abhishek Gupta is using the Barclays card since october ( Card No. - [protected]).

                          I didn't receive any of the bill because i left my job in Hyderabad and relocated to Delhi.

                          After coming to Delhi as an honest customer I contacted your customer care and requested them to send me the statement on my email-id and i updated my new contact no. in their database.

                          Instead of sending me the statement they started sending me the message for payment and at last on 19th January they send me the statement for November'08 instead of December'08.

                          When i inquired about the matter i came to know that the reason of not sending the December Statement is that they have charged some wrong charges in December Statement.

                          When I asked them to send the statement to me they declined and asked to make the payment first.

                          Please look into the matter and solve it.

                          This is to inform you that I am the Credit Card Holder of Barclay Bank. They have not sent the statement for last 01 year in spite of several requests through email and over phone. My purchase amount approximately was Rs.5000/- to Rs.6000/-. But before settling my dues I want them to furnish me statement of account, on which I can make the minimum amount due against my outstanding as per the Credit Card rules of the Bank. I doubt that they must have inflated due amount by levying unduly high interest, late fees, unnecessary service charges etc. Now I am in Bhopal. After coming Bhopal, Already I have told to Customer Care of Barclay bank to Send me the Statement through Email then customer care has told me that I have to go to Delhi for make the payment. But suddenly they have invalidated my card and they have hired a Goonda (Goons) named as Mr. Suresh Walia from Delhi and asking for payment of full amount immediately which as per this goonda is hovering around Rs.15000/-. I have told to customer Care executive regarding this matter, but they have told me that already we have closed your card and we have transferred to collection agent for collection.                           This is to inform you that I am the Credit Card Holder of Barclay Bank. They have not sent the statement for last 01 year in spite of several requests through email and over phone. My purchase amount approximately was Rs.5000/- to Rs.6000/-. But before settling my dues I want them to furnish me statement of account, on which I can make the minimum amount due against my outstanding as per the Credit Card rules of the Bank. I doubt that they must have inflated due amount by levying unduly high interest, late fees, unnecessary service charges etc. Now I am in Bhopal. After coming Bhopal, Already I have told to Customer Care of Barclay bank to Send me the Statement through Email then customer care has told me that I have to go to Delhi for make the payment. But suddenly they have invalidated my card and they have hired a Goonda (Goons) named as Mr. Suresh Walia from Delhi and asking for payment of full amount immediately which as per this goonda is hovering around Rs.15000/-. I have told to customer Care executive regarding this matter, but they have told me that already we have closed your card and we have transferred to collection agent for collection.                           Barclays Credit Card — cheating

                          almost a year before i got call from barclays for one of there schemes called"priority circle"..in this scheme i was told RS 4500 will be deducted from my card and i will become member and under this time and again i will be getting different beneficial schemes...also with this scheme i was suppose to be given gifts with in a week

                          1. an international quality watch worth RS 3000.....was given to me after 2-3 months but not an international quality watch but a crap not even worth RS 100.

                          2. holiday package for 2 people...never given to me.

                          now when i told them that you took my concent on false promise...revert back that scheme...and take your crap watch they are denying.

                          more over when i told them taht correct my bill then only i will pay they have put a fine of RS 600 for not giving the money...

                          please help.

But they had provided me wrong information about interest charges.They told me the rate of interest would be 14.2% but after giving the loan they changed it into 24%.                             Hai,

                            I used my barclays card for Rs41000, later i converted to EMI for 36 months, and the EMI is Rs 1650/-(approx). i paid 10 month EMI,

                            When I converted EMI, Barclays said Rs 1650/- inclusive of principle, interest & taxes. But later I found service charge on top of Rs 1650. as of now I paid around Rs1000 as service charge. So I called their call center on 7th nov 2008 & registered a request to foreclose my EMI (request no 331180). Initially they said you can’t cancel the EMI. Later the person said you have to cancel the card to close the EMI, so I agreed for the same. No response till today[protected] so again I called today abt 6.30pm (and call extended till 6.55pm) and ask them what happen to my previous complaint, Ms.Niyanta said you cant close the EMI. If you wish you have to pay entire EMI of Rs[protected]*26). I said that is ridiculous, I expressed my views many times, so pls do something. Then after 2mins hold she said you can close the EMI by paying your outstanding Principle of Rs29611.10, 3% foreclosure charge of Rs 888.30 + service tax of Rs 110, totally around Rs 30609.3. I agreed and ask to give some reference number about this discussion. Again she put me on hold for 3min then she said sorry you can’t close the EMI, I thought it is loan, so you have to continue. Or pay Rs42900. and she is not ready to take any complaint also. I insist several time, she said you ask me to foreclose the EMI since it is not possible so I am not able to register the complaint.

                            Anybody pls suggest me how to log the complaint against them.

                            My sincere advice pls stay away form Barclays.

                            I have also faced problems form the Barclays Credit Card. I think that this is the most useless and fraud bank in INDIA. My problem is slightly different from urs. Actually i made an internet transaction for Rs.60, 000/-. This transaction was on an international webiste. And i called the customer care to make EMI's for the same transcation, they took my request and told me that u will get the confirmation call and after that it will be converted into EMI. I got the confirmation call that my transaction has been converted into EMI.

                            But when i saw the next billing statement there was no sign of EMI, instead they have charged me interest for around Rs.4200/-. Then i called the customer care and enquired about my EMI and i was shocked to hear this, the operator said that this is an international transcation and that can not be converted into EMI. And the clearly that we have not made any confirmation call to u.

                            I THINK THEY HAVE ONLY OPENED THE BANK TO CHEAT PEOPLE OF INDIA.

                            guess now amt became 13000, one girl UMA/Diwakar from chennai promised of reversal and ask for 350 rs to pay. I have payed the amount but did not get reversal on my credit card please be care full with these

                              Barclays Credit Card — HEAVY CHARGES AGAINST NEVER USED CARD

                              I got a barclays credit card a very fine day but dont use it anyplace/time, i was offered a Priority Circle LE membership full of confusion and misselling, when i complaint about it they said they cant do anything and it could not be canceled and i[censored] want to know more call our call center, its been a 1-1/2month i filed my complaint on call centre and on Mails also with the card division they told me to give an application duly signed and I sent them also that but haven't received any solution-call from there side, instead i have called them at least 14 times and mail atlest 6-7 times still recieving irritating collection calls and threatning sms for reffering in credit burue, still waiting for my grievance to be looked upon(I have never use this card), i have not seen such a unprofesional behaviour and Poor service of a credit card of such a repute bank with full of misselling and with no one to look into customer complaints.(I have never use this card)

                              With reference to the above subject, my name is Palanethra Basavaraju Barclays Bank Card Number is [protected] I have taken settlement of 21, 000.00 (but this is my actual amount) for 4 months I made 3 payment for 4th EMI due to financial crises I could'nt made payment of 8, 000.00 but the remain amount made next month itself. even I confirmed with representative than only I proceed.

                              Now the problem is still in my account it showing 57, 000 balance, I mailed so many e-mail for barclays bank but finally I have got replay saying that your settlement is invalid you have to make 57, 000.00. But I said collection representative whatever late payment made (8000.00) I can bear interest not for 57, 000 remaining amount.

                              I don't mind to make 8000.00 payment on 4th EMI but the problem is one more personal loan going with Barclays Bank (1, 00000 taken 24 EMI's out of that till remaining amount is 35, 000 (7 EMI's pending) no cheque bounce till. One thing I am not cheating bank or anybody.

                              So, kindly suggest me in this satiation what action I can take. but present situation I can't make one rupee payment I have to look out my family there are 4 dependent on me.

                              I hope I get good suggestion from you end. Kindly Solve the problem as soon as possible.

                                Hi, I am durga prasad, holder of credit card # [protected].I used this credit card in the month of may/june 2008 upto an amount of Rs. 25000+ (above). (just over the limit) I have changed my residential address as I have constructed a new house.Since then I am not getting any credit card statement even upon updating my new postal address with customer care donkeys. I am paying a sum of min amount each month and asking the collections executive to get me the statements which he is not doing for the last 4-5 months. Collections executive Suresh: Phone. [protected] & their Manager Mr. Kiran [protected] have now become hopeless.

                                When Barclays can expect money thru middle agencies to recover its money, then why not Barclays ensure that the customer is getting the bills or not. When I make the payment, I get atleast 6-10 calls to verify if I have paid the credit card amount or not and enquiring the receipt number.

                                Also I get a lot of miss calls from your Bank who speak nothing on picking the call. What ever be the stage, I just want to payout the remaining amount but, remember without any extra charges, fines and other head ache issues. Please cancel my card on taking the remaining money.                                 Most of you must be aware of the ARUNACHALAM film story. In this film Rajinikanth wins the property of 3000 Crores of his father by spending 30 crore rupees in just 1 month's time. To do this Rajinikanth makes a lot of effort, hope you all know that. If I were given a chance in life to spend such a huge amount I would take Barclays Credit Card. I need not have to bother there upon. Because this bank takes care of LOOTING ALL YOUR MONEY in the form of surcharge, over charge, under limits, over limit, bending limits, straightening limits don't be amazed. It is true.

                                Because we can make payments in time. They will never send you the statements.

                                You will continuously get messages on your mobile and get phone calls, but they never care from your end.

                                the collection executive comes to you, collects the money and promises of the statement copies during the next months payment.. he never returns back with the statement copies.

                                you can call customer care to change the contact address. they will never do it.

                                you can call your regional office... the manager responds carelessly as though he is not interested to collect your money any more.

                                they call you usually.. and send the messages as usually threatening your details would be sent to CIBIL (Credit Bureau)... they finally end up in disputes by loosing its money and unclever staff.

                                They don't have sense to deal with the customers.. how can they as they don't have responsible regional office officials to do it.

                                No one really cares about the customers, if they use BARCLAYS CREDIT CARD. Dear Folks be careful for ever.

                                  Hi unfortunately due to my worse luck i had taken barclay bank credit card that is the most dangerous and fraud bank i have ever seen. They called me and explain so many things about their product for that they charged 6000 and still the product is on the way since 6 months.
                                  I had used the card for 15000 and till now have paid 20000 still statement shows that i have to pay the amount. whenever i am calling their employees are telling we get bill after 2 days so we have charged 1 thousand . If this will be the case i can never clear there dues and i don't know how they are charging so much amount they don't have any banks any centers any ATM's still they are torchering like any thing.

                                  Can some one help me please.

                                    With due respect I would like to state that I Mr. Yogendra Kumar Sharma holding the Barclayscard No. [protected]. One day one lady called me over phone and said “You have been selected to provide two days holiday halt for two adults and two children below five years free of cost at your selected place. As and when you plan your visit you should inform and you have to pay Rs 500/- (Five hundred only) at that time only for this. After few days on 20.11.2008 I received my Barclaycard Account Statement Ref No. [protected] dated November, 12, 2008 showing the dues of Rs 6741.60. On 21.11.2008 I enquire for this dues over phone from M/s Minakshi about this statement that I have not purchase anything but I received this statement on what account? She said this your membership dues you have to pay this. I requested M/S Minakshi that I am not willing to become a member of this scheme there may some misinterpretations so you are requested to please cancel my membership and make me free from this unwanted dues. She said I am forwarding your request you enquire after 72 hrs. On 24.11.2008 at about 1045 hrs I again requested to M/s Minakshi over phone she said you have to pay this amount as you given your consent over phone. I requested her to cancel my membership again and again but she said I can’t do anything you have to pay this amount otherwise you liable to pay late fee also. I ask her to give me contact No. Of higher authority then she said I only the higher authority. You are liable to pay the amount.

                                    In view of the above it is, requested to authority concerned to approach to cancel my membership for which I have not been applied for in written and not required also and make me free from this unwanted dues. The amount in concerned I am unable to pay.

                                    I hope my request will be considered.

                                      Myself mr. kiran m bobde is holding a Barclays credit card There has been an unnecessary billing of Rs.6741.60 on my card for Barclaycard priority circle. I had not asked for becoming a Barclaycard priority circle member. Now apart from the charge they are charging me interest & service charge over it

                                      I have also written a letter to Ms. Meera Rawat, Head service governance, worli Mumbai via speed post on 07/11/2008 regarding the same and asked to revert my charges on the credit card. Apart from this I have also registered a complaint with your customer service centre for a number of times, however i have failed to get any satisfactory response till date.
                                      Due to this type of error on on the part of the company they are compelling me to pay.
                                      I would further like to mention that their executive are constantly calling me on my mobile phone & insisting me to pay for the charges which I have not availed for. Apart from that there has been a series of SMS on my mobile suggesting that you would be reporting the matter to CIBIL.

                                      I fail to understand that how they can charge any person for the services not availed & how in the world can they compulsory make members of Barclaycard priority circle just to extract money from people.

                                      The continuous calls & SMS on my mobile is amounting to threatening me.I request you to kindly take note of this & help me out of this

                                      I am fully agree with the complaint of the person, any company can not force to any person to subscribe any service for the activation company has to send request then it choice of person to get agree or not.its scam and the way to extract money from peoples.company has to refund

                                        I closed my Juniper (now Barclays) AirTrans+ credit card May08 with a ZERO balance. In September I received an email informing me that my account was overdue and that I owed over $150.00. I immediately called customer service and they told me that a charge of $70 was made after the account was closed and that additional penalties and fees accounted for the rest. After 15 minutes of trying to find out what the original charge was and how they can accept a charge on an account that is closed, I was transferred to another representative who told me that they would remove the charges and that I "should have received a letter stating that my account was closed" (like this was somehow MY fault). To make a long story short, I have been bombarded with harassing emails, letters, and phone calls about my "delinquent" account that is now over $200. I see no other remedy but to get an attorney, Barclays is intent on destroying my credit rating. Unfortunately, I will no longer fly AirTrans.
