[Resolved]  Barclay Credit Card — Cheatting on the statment & Harrasment on phone calls

Dear Sir/Madam,
My Self Paul Jose, I have been using Barclays credit card my card no is [protected] my credit was Rs 32, 000/- I had done the shopping of Rs. 28, 000/- till Feb 2008 and had done a payment of Feb 2008 amount of Rs. 2, 500/- after that I got a call from the Barclays Customer Service saying that my Card have been over due from the Limit of Rs. 32, 000/- when I cross check with the Bank they had inform me that they had add a Club Membership fees of 5000/- (membership of Barclay bank n concern is bank is giving me free tour of 3-4 days in any good locations in INDIA n a traveling bag of worth Rs 2500, this package cost is 15000 but they are offering in 5000) with out my information. And I had requested them to remove the membership and send me a fresh bill after doing the payment of Rs. 2, 500/-, which I had done in the Month of Feb 2008. I had also send a mail on this to the bank in India as well as UK, and had received servile call saying that they will be removing the membership and will be send me a fresh statement. But it took almost 6 month to remove the membership which made my card overdue of amount of Rs. 45, 000/-, in the meanwhile I had already inform the bank that I will not do any payment till the bank do not remove the membership fee and send me a statement from the due of 27, 000/-.
I have several times asked the Bank to check the details. But they are saying, it has been done in flavor of the bank and I have to pay the excess money. First let me know, why should I pay the excess money (for which transactions I haven't done). Actual credit limit for my card is 32, 500. As I had done a worth of Rs. 28, 000/-.
Please help me to do file a cheating case and charging the excess amount. Please guide me to go through it and let me know, as I have not done any payment afterward Feb 2008. And they have filled a case in the credit bureau, how should I file the case in consumer forum or banking ombudsmen? Please do the needful things.

Now calling for payment daily 10 phone calls & SMS in early morning every day... I calling daily to same department of Barclay bank, but no response even they talk very rudely. From last 5 days I doing e-mail to [protected]@barclay.com & [protected]@barclay.com but no response, even they suspended my card also... Sir now I don’t want any relationship with Barclays, please solve this issue...

Sub: I discusing with my advocate about Sueing Against Fraudulent Marketing Strategy of Barclay Bank.
( pls read the note in end of my post)

My card no: [protected] issued on Jan 2008.

I was a customer of Barclay Credit card, for the first 6 month every thing looked so neat and proper.
in the sence what ever i purchase, the bill comes in time with appropriate info and details.

One fine day there was a call from The a call from Barclays card, New Delhi.

And I have been given an offer of 10% cash back in what ever money i spend in next 3 months.
ie I have to spend Minimum Rs:15, 000 with in 03 months, then i will get 500 Rs cash Back, I also complies of
Dinning, Medical and Shopping.

So purchashed worth Rs:5000. In that purticular month Barcley Bank Didn`t send me any Statment of By Bill payable.
I called up them and asked about the statement they said me to pay any minimal amount of my purchase. I have paid more than

the minimal amount so that they will not add any interest as per the conversation. But the startment came with late payment

fee and interest added on them.

I called them again and spoke to them saying haven't recieved my Statements before due date. so, i can't pay the Late

Fee. They agreed to my clarification.After a month i recieved a statement with 5000Rs added for priority circle
membership, then interest added for that 5000 Rs, then late payment fees added.

I strongly asked them to clarify the stated amount mentioned in the payable column.I didn`t get a genuine reply.
I have all the calls recorded conversation.

They are calling daily freaquently 4, 5 times to harasing me to pay the bill which they don`t have any clarification.
Every time the cc section would promise me to resolve this issue the next 24 hours. Which never happened.

Pls Advise me to take further action.

Note: Initial Marketing person`s Cheating Motive.
The preson who called me as marketing executive, never diclosed the information that I have to pay Rs.5, 000 to get these offer. Non diclosure of such a vital infromation is same as cheating.Kindly look into this matter and reslove these issues at the earliest.

Barclays Credit Card — Harrasment & Cheating........

Dear Sir/Madam,
I have Barclay Credit Card No : [protected] with me since Februray 2008 but have never used the same till date. I got a call on 26th of Oct 2008 from Barclays Priority Circle stating that Barclay is offering me free trolley bag worth rs. 2000 & other discounts free of cost & there are no hidden charges .
But on 13th of Nov I got SMS that I have due amount of Rs. 6741/- when enquired I was told that it was debited to my a/c aginst some memebership fees .
I humbly request you to pl look in to the matter & help me for getting harrassed from . I am really surprised how someone can charge me without even purchasing anything or getting any loan .
Awaiting for your kind action & confirmation...

Barclay Credit Card — Billing and telephonic harrasment

Hello,
First of all Barclay bank representative committed facilities has not given. I face the problem as I deposit the amount to clear the credit from card and then inform to Customer care saying that I have deposited the amount BUT surprise comes in the next credit card statement as debit interest & credit interest and late payment fees. I am really shocked and tried many times to explain the customer cares executive and also availed mail service but all vain there is no solution.
Finally I cleared the principle and kept quiet but Barclay every month send the statement with additional charges and also harassment call from their office.
Please help in this front, I would need compensation for all this harassment.
I will never pay the amount and go to the extreme step to sue the Barclay bank

My Self Amit Kumar I have been using Barclays credit card my card no: [protected] issued on 2007.

In the mont of October 2008, I dropped a cheque No. 254397, Dated 23-10-08, Amounted to Rs. 2500/- in your sector-7, Rohini drop box.

And I got confirmed from the customer care this payment has been updated in your A/c or not first they said yes but when I received my monthly statement still statement is showing dues of Rs. 2500/- eventhough my A/c has been dedited of Rs. 2500/- in the month of October

I have already deposited my full & final payment of Rs. 3500/- cash against of Rs. 3400/- in the mont of November 2008 in your Nehru place branch.

In future I am not going to pay any kind of payment as well as any kind of interest or late fees as well.

I have discussed the same matter with your customer care executives every time they cc section promise me to resolve this issue with in the next 24 hours.but still I am facing the same problem.

Pls Advise me to take further action.

I Am a Barclay bank Card Holder And Card No.[protected] Last Month Amt Due On My Card 11060/- last due Date For Same 08/01/09. I Drop a Chaque Amt 11100/- In Your Skypark Drop Box In Gurgaon At Dated 05/01/09. The Chaque Is ING VYSYA Bank.The Same Chaque Debit In My Ing A/c At Dated 08/01/09. But Date 10/01/09 I Celled In Your Customer Service They Told Me Your Chaque Bounce Due To Non matching Your Singneture In Bank. I Ask You a Single Question That What Is Customer Mistake In Same I Give You Chaque On Time And That Time Sufficient Balance In My Account Than Why Are I Pay More My Bank Do Not Debit In My Account Bouncing Charge Thay Told Me That In Same Condition the bouncing charges should not be debit By The Any Bank. So Please Revise The Bouncing and Late Payment Charges And Close My Card . I Do Not Want To Use Your Card. I am Tell a Single Thing That I Have a Citi Bank, Abn-Amro Bank, HSBC Bank Card And I Use Same Last 3 or 4 Year But I Could not Expact Like THIS Sevice By Barclay Bank. You Do Not Any Good Payment Option You Branch Is Very Few, If The Customer Require Do The Payment By Your Executive Than That Is Chargeable But In The Other Bank That Is Free I Find Your Very Poor Service .So I Want To Close My Card.

My experience is exactly the same. After reading various complaints on this site, I am convinced that Barclays Card Company is running a racket to extort money in this fashion.
Threatening and Torturing through Goonda by Barclays Bank.

This is to inform you that I am the Credit Card Holder of Barclay Bank, they have not sent the statement for last 01 year inspite of several request only because of raise the late payment fees, service charges etc. That’s why the amount will be high . But suddenly they have hired a Goonda named as Mr. Walia from Delhi and asking for full amount immediately . How can I make the payment immediately? and threatening and torturing me over mobile Phone and land line phone. Not only that He has told me that I will kill your family. What is this ???. Bank cannot do this legally this type of harassment. My purchase amount most probably for Rs.8000/- to 9000/- approximately. He is disturbing my Employer also., that will effect in my service. I am a very middleclass family. I am agree to pay the minimum amount due in monthly basis. I am asking for statement But he is denied to give me the statement .Continuously he is telling me to make the payment otherwise they will attack me with their team. Please help me from Goonda of barclay bank. Only because of raising late payment fees and service charges and to raise the higher bill, the they have made this type of incident. I am 100% agree to pay the minimum amount due against my total outstanding. Gradually I will pay the amount to Bank., but not at a time. Please avoid Goonda which has veen hired by Barclay bank that is completely illegal.

My self Mahesh singh and i have a card holder from Barclays

my sattelment was successfull and i have also sattelment letter that is type in english language
letter date[protected]

and i pay all payment some 1/2 cash at a time and 1/2 P, D Cheque and cheque is cleared

but i have recd some call from barclays collection depptt they are say me that your sattelment is not success

u have ouverdue payment
