I have been using the card for five months and I have not recieved the statement for even a month. I paid the first month and second month bill of Rupees 55000 and only by knowing the amount through SMS. I have not paid the third month as I did not get the statement and I called the bank requesting for the statement for over 19 times in a month and they dont give a reference number for the call. To get a written documentation I send three emails and have not heard from them even once. Now its been two months and from the last one week I am getting ten phone calls every day from collections and all I tell them is to send me the statement for all the three months and I will make the payment within 48 hours. However, there is no statement till date. Worst service in india

    Let me start with the statement “I am really disappointed for having chosen Barclay Credit Card”. I have been holding this card since July 07. I have always been paying my complete dues on time and every time.

    However I continue to receive calls from our collection agent at every odd hour for the payment. To mention about the recent incidents, last month I had dropped the cheque of the due amount at least 4 working days in advance, but due to some strange reason the payment was not received on due date and I was forced to pay it online. This ended me making 2 payments for the same amount due.This happened in the month of July 2008.

    The saga is repeated for September month as well. I have deposited the cheque for the complete due amount as per their last statement on 10th of August for a payment which is due on 15th August. However the payment got debited from my account on 20th August.

    I have still more surprise in store which unfolded when i recieved my statement, i was levied late payment charges + interset charges.

    I have called several times to their customer harrasment centre which they call as customer service centre to lodge the compliant but of no use, i have written emails both to thier india office as well as UK office. Thankfully my email was acknowledged from their UK office, but its indian office is still to open their mail box.

    i strongly believe that such banks knowingly delay the cheque collection process so as to levy hefty fine from customers who pay in time.

    Is this the way a leading Bank operates?

    I have few questions to be answered.



    1) What is the process you follow to track the cheque collection from various drop boxes?

    2) What you expect a customer to give you a proof for having dropped the cheque on time?

    3) What will make you believe from a customer who repeatedly tells about the payment being made and also gives the cheque details?

    4) Can a customer like me be paid for unnecessary mental harassment?

    5) Add to this will be the late payment charges you will be debiting for no fault of the customer



    Just to reiterate here I have dropped the last month’s cheque at B N Putallingaraju, Jayanagar 4th Block, Petrol Pump on 10th of August at approx 10 AM.



    In view of this extra ordinary treatment by Barclay Bank, I request the following:



    1) Please put me in DND List. My contact No is[protected]

    2) Please cancel my cards, of course I will pay the amount due towards merchandising not the late payment charges if you are levying any.

    Barclay bank credit card number — Regarding Barclay Bank Credit Card Payment

    Dear Sir,


    I have paid all my dues but still your statement showing me the
    outstanding.I have called to customer care n number times but they arte not
    going to give me any solution.this is formal mail for future references.Now
    i am telling you all details once again please revert my charges and close
    my credit card.


    1.[protected] I have done a transaction of hutch payment amount is 489.61

    2.[protected] i deposit a checque no is 956367 amount is 500 Rs.

    3.[protected] cheque no 956367 is cleared from my bank account(payment is
    cleared).

    4. By confusion i deposit one more cheque of same amount that is 500 Rs.
    and cheque no is 956368 deposit on[protected].

    5.[protected] Payment have effect in my bank account.

    6.[protected] i did a transaction of 308 Rs for hutch payment.

    7.[protected] i did one more transaction of 360 Rs from BP Preet vihar.

    8. So my outstanding is 157.61 Rs.

    9. But i received a statement of 496.69 Rs.so i called to customer care many
    times.so due to customer care due date has gone.

    10. approx near to 22-oct or 23-oct i called to customer care and they told
    for deposit 194Rs and they said rest of the charges we wil adjust but till
    now.they hane not reduced.

    11. So every month they put a late fees and interest so at this time my
    outstanding is 1027.93 Rs.

    This is not my fault please check all the things and reduce my charges and
    close my CARD.other wise i have to take help from media or consumer court.I
    have all documents which told my story. and this time this is the fight of
    truth because i have spent more then your due on telephonic call or others.

    Barclays Credit Card — Penalty for their fault

    Hi!

    I have recently taken a Barclays credit card and I am very disappointed. The service is deplorable in many aspects.

    I have the following concern which I hope you will address at the earliest:

    My card number is [protected] and I paid my first bill on 4 May 2008, ICICI bank cheque number 332982 for an amount of Rs. 6673.

    This did not reflect in my account and I have been charged a late payment fee and an interest amount. I have already called the customer care thrice informing them of the matter and asking for a reversal of both these charges.

    I have received my next month statement and still these changes are not reflected.

    I mailed them with the complaint and now they have replied that they cannot reverse the charges as the payment has been made post the due date.

    I have made my payment in time through a skypak drop box, but if they have not collected it in time, why am I being penalized for it?

    Please look into the matter. also, their customer care is really bad. It takes ages to get through to them and when one dos, they are completely unhelpful with no information on the status of complaint. For this complaint alone, I have called up 5 times.

    Barclays Bank — credit card payment

    My credit card no.[protected] i have already paid the amount spend by me on this card to bank but they are demanding more and more penalties to me on demanding of no dues certificate by me. they are regularly calling me on phone by there collection officers to pay more to obtain NDC from bank.

    Barclay Credit Card — Late PAyment Charges

    This is Javed Khan. I am holding your card . In the month of July I have purchased some product by using the card and the same amount i have already paid .

    Now, I am getting calls from Barclay that we have received your payment late, so you have to pay the late payment charges.


    I have spoken to Barclay executive regarding the same. He has assured me that first I have to pay the minimum amount due and he will send the request to back the charges.

    But after that also i am receiving the call from barclay side to pay the amount.

    Barclay Bank Credit Card — Re: Late Payment Charges Levied

    I am having a credit card from Barclay bank, I am pissed of with this card, In the Month of feb I dropped a cheque for the payment of Rs. 750/- on this card. But Later in the month I recd a call they havent recd any cheque on my card account, Pls pay the amount in cash to avoid late charges and Got the cash collected from the Bank executive. But i was surprised to see the Late Payment charges in the next statemens. I have no transaction on this card but the Late payment Charges have been aggrevated on my account. Pls advise me how shall I go forward.

    I am a Barclays bank credit card holder Card number [protected] exp: 06/11 Name: Kiran Manubhai Patel. Add: 24, Sharda Apts Sahar Road Andheri east Mumbai 400099, Tel number: [protected]. I discontinued the use of this card for the past 8-10 months. I discontinued as I was not gettiing my credit card statement monthly & it became difficult to keep a track of the same.. I have redistered a complaint for the same with the Barclays customer care atleast twice but no resolution was given. I got fed up & stopped using the card. 6 months go I got a call stating that I owed the Bank INR 2500 I immediately paid the sum & was told by the person sent to collect stating that this was full & final payment & now the card was cancelled. I assumed the same in good faith & inspite of any statement I paid all that was due, now recently for the past one month I have been harrased by the calls stating that I owe them further INR 5000/. My question is if i owed you this money then as a consumer why did I never get the statement for balance owed as a card holder this is banks responsibilty to communicate what the balance is & ensure timely payment from the card Holder. Can someone from the bank ans my question because the customer service is ineffective & I get no results.

    1. Why did i not get monthly statements? If you have sent them can I see the courier receipts which shows the acknowledgement of the same by me or any family member.

    2. Why suddenly did the bank realize I had so much balance if you claim I have this much to pay to the bank show me the communication that should have been made when I defaulted to pay the payment in the ist or 2nd month.

    3. You want me to make the payment of INR 5000/- then what was the last payment that i made of INR 2500/- can i see the receipt & why was I communicated by the associate that this is full & final payment If this is communicatied by your employee why should I be penalized.

    Please find resolution to this we are decent people & do not want to be harrowed by bank making unnecessary claims on my time & causing me all this distress.

      Hi,
      Around 3 month back I got a call from the Barclay credit cards department asking about the priority circle, in the confirmation call I asked the person again is there is any kind of charges then they said it's absolutely free of charge.They even told me that unless i used this i will not be charged.They said that they have been sending a document which i have to sign and send it back to the barclay bank...after that there is no written communication to me from barclay credit card till now.
      All the communication was full of confusion and misselling.
      In between I have done few shopping and paid the amount. Few days back I got a call from barclay bank ask for the outstanding balance, when I logged the complain they come with the some reason and said that the amount can't be undone.
      After that when I talked to one of the customer care executive[protected], he has given me 2 numbers ([protected] & [protected]) and asked me to call on one of these 2 numbers immediately to get this amount undo.
      But when I tried [protected] then "This number is out of service" was coming and when ever i used to call on [protected], every time my call has been rejected from the other end.
      I also tried to call on hyderabad Customer Care[protected], but even holding the phone for more than 45 minutes, it's always said that "All the Customer care excecutive are busy, please hold the line", i tried for continuously 5 days...but failed to connect to Barclay Damm credit card department.
      After few days again i got a call from barclay for the payment, i said about my problem for the last 5 days, then they said that we are sorry sir but now we can't do any thing and any cost you have to pay the amount. I feel like I have been trapped.
      Form last few days I am continuous getting the Automated calls from barclay credit cards department regarding the payment. I am getting around 10 calls on daily basis and 5-10 msgs, (I don't know whether I bought my cell for barclay people use or for me only)... I logged a complaint about this also, they said they are sorry but they can't help it out... Even i am getting calls from few gurgaon number on which person on the other end never speak a single word. I am sure all these numbers belongs to CC of barclay.
      Those numbers are ([protected], [protected], [protected], [protected]).
      I alredy registered for Don't call registery even then I am getting the calls.
      I don't know what should i supposed to do in this matter. But all I say to warn other people please don't go for this priority circle offer.

      I totally agreee with you.

      The same thing has happened with me also. Barclay bank has also charged me Rs 5000 as priority service for which I never agreed.
      My card number is :- 4*** **** ***8 6835
      I talked to some customer care executive few times every time they come up with the excuse that they will inform their senior and I will be getting a call ASAP for my concern. but after that no calls from Barclay except the daily routine call from daily collection department. I don't know what should I suppose to do in this aspect. really got fed up with these. can any one help me out in this aspect. Any solution or any suggestion???

        I am Chirag sagar, Gujarat.

        I am holding Credit card of Barclays Bank. I had received credit card statement around 08/08/2008, the payment due date is 22/08/2008. I had already deposited cheque in Sky Drop Box on 18/08/2008 at Sky Drop Box Bharat Petroleum, Drive-In Road, Ahmedabad. But the calls on behalf of Barclays Bank coninuous messaging & calling on my mobile, I had also inform them the cheque details but they can't stop calling & messaging. They are torchering me.
        Request them to check with Sky Drop Box for my cheque & don't disturb to customers.

          I have requested barclay card to reverse the priority circle membership vide my Email dtd17.0608 and I have got reply from there on 22.06.08 that the fees has been credited in your account and will reflect in my next statement but from that I have got two statements but the fees has not yet reversed till date and they have charged interest nad other charges apon the membership fees of Rs.5000/-and calling me to pay the dues 20 times a day and harrassing me that you have to pay the amount or call at priority circle customer care no[protected]/ [protected] but all these number are always busy, I have tried so many time no executive is free to attend the call.

          Barclaycard Priority Circle — barclay card priority circle membership without aany info

          Hi,
          I am a barclay credit card holder and using this from november 2007. In my card statement of june certainly I found Rs 5000 was deducted for priority circle membership with out having any information. When I contacted to priority circle customer care dept ( It's really a big challenge to reach them by phone ), they told that they got the confirmation from me by phone on june 22, 2008. This is really a big frod as I did not have any call from priority circle dept in the month of june. When I asked them to prove this, they deny to disclose this saying confedential matter.
          Need your intervention to short this issue out as I strongly believe I did not have any call from priority circle and I am really surprised how this mistake was happened by such a company and more over they did not want to resolve this issue.

          barclays card — Getting system generated calls

          I am getting system generated call and msg's from Barclays card Dept. for Mr.Satyanand Jayeswal
          But I am not Satyanand Jayeswal.My Name is Naveen and I am getting call and msg's since January 2008.
          I have already complaint 4-5 times to Barcklays customar care but no body is resopnding.
          I am getting call from Recovery officer also for card amount but I am not that person that they are calling for.
          I have called 10 times on customar care but they told me we will follow up your request and after 1 week the problem will be solved.

          I called to your concerned department 30th Sep., 2008 related to my Lee Fee issue to your customer care executive but I get negative response from her side she said “I can't help you on this matter because this is a company policy” and the second issue is about payment, I have already paid minimum amount (480/-) on 13th September, 2008 through Kotak Mahindra Netbanking. She said “there is not any payment received from your side. Then again I talk to your customer care executive “Manorama” she holds my call for 10 minutes and after that she said that my system is not working properly. I requested her please check my status on other system but she totally ignored me and then I said if you are not able to solve my problem then please forward my call to your seniors but she didn’t transfer my call to any of your senior person and disconnect my call. This is not acceptable at any cost.

          When I have already paid the minimum amount to your bank (without any reason) then why are you pressuring me to take this plan? (I m not received any gift voucher from your side) I requested to you that I don’t need any Lee Fee Plan then why are you again and again compelling me to take this plan.

          Please look into this matter as soon as possible and revert back a solid answer for that.

          Barclays — Lee Fee Issue

          Dear all,

          I called to your concerned department 30th Sep., 2008 related to my Lee Fee issue to your customer care executive but I get negative response from her side she said “I can't help you on this matter because this is a company policy” and the second issue is about payment, I have already paid minimum amount (480/-) on 13th September, 2008 through Kotak Mahindra Netbanking. She said “there is not any payment received from your side. Then again I talk to your customer care executive “Manorama” she holds my call for 10 minutes and after that she said that my system is not working properly. I requested her please check my status on other system but she totally ignored me and then I said if you are not able to solve my problem then please forward my call to your seniors but she didn’t transfer my call to any of your senior person and disconnect my call. This is not acceptable at any cost.

          When I have already paid the minimum amount to your bank (without any reason) then why are you pressuring me to take this plan? (I m not received any gift voucher from your side) I requested to you that I don’t need any Lee Fee Plan then why are you again and again compelling me to take this plan.

          Please look into this matter as soon as possible and revert back a solid answer for that.

          The priority circle membership fee has been charged on me also. I was trying to resolve this issue with bank for past 6 months, and nothing happened. Now the total amount is about 8500 and I am very much disturbed.

          I think there is no point in calling the customer care or the circle people as I have done it many times.

          I could see that there are many such cases similar to mine. I think we should join together and do something.
          Same has happened with me in my latest statement. I think we need to get together and file a serious complaint aginst them in the consumer court. This is seriously not done. I am not gonna pay any damm amount to them and let them keep on charging anything. Bull !
          I am also a deep sufferer of apathetic attitude of Barclays credit card. I keep cursing myself eversince I made use of this card for my transactions. Due to delay in getting the cheque amount realised on part of Barclays we are forced to cough up extra amount of min 500/- in every statement!! I need a forum wherein this complaint is registered in proper way and our problems are redressed.

          I totally agree to this. I had been using many credit cards for almost last five years. So far I beleived that if a consumer is decent, his credit card experience would also be decent. Few principles I normally follow;
          I never allow the card to go in charge mode.
          I never accept any card or any facility there on, for which I have to pay any charges.
          I never agree to Balance transfer or any such things.

          I had been successfully operating around 5 to 6 cards along with add-on cards without any bad experience till date.

          But Barclaycard seems to be determined to cheat people. In month of august I got a call from them. The fellow was talking of so many things about priority membership. I asked what I need to do. I was told that I need to spend Rs 30000/- on my card and I would get Rs 500/- cash back. That fellow never told me I have to bear a charge of Rs 5618/-. I agreed because I had good amount of billing that time. In fact infact instead o[censored]sing I used Barclaycard so that I get the cash back. After few days when my statement came I was really surprised. It was not Rs. 500 cash back. They have debited an amount of Rs. 5618/- It was plain cheating. I immediately took up the matter with customer care as well as priority care. In the name of priority they are playing a big joke. You have to prey to GOD for at least few weeks continuously before you can get any representative on their priority number. Finally one day I could register my complain for reversal of this fee. I wrote many emails. Till now nothing has been done. They are simply adding on interest. Now the priority circle refuse to reverse the fee. It appears they want to take such an hefty amount forcibly without my availing any facility. I am ready to clear any dues (my actual dues not faltu charges ) and surrender the card. They are not giving any opportunity. I have built up the case with enough emails and still hopeful the barclaycard would get some sense and settle the issue amicably. If it does not happen I will go to consumer court and teach them a lession. I would welcome others to join hands.

          I got a call on the month of Oct'08 regarding the Priority Circle membership, I turned down the request for membership, however after the telecaller convinced me that this offer is free for you, there wont be any charges, I agreed to get registered.

          However, after receiving my statement on Nov'08 I was stunned to see that I have been billed for Rs-6741/- Now, I want to immediately get the reversal and of this money and get the membership from the priority circle cancelled.
          Otherwise, I dont intend to pay this money and will discontinue the card, If I dont get any reversal of this money.

          Barclays — non cancellation of priority circle membership fees

          I am being cheated by Barclays Bank. They issued me a prirority circle membership on barclays card no.[protected] which has not been delivered till date and card has been charged. I will have to pay bill for a membership which I have never seen on paper. When I asked for the hard copies they said that first you have to pay the charges then they will give the hard copies of these offers on this membership.
          I requested many times for the cancellation of "Barclays Priority Circle they said that this is not possible, You have to pay this amount otherwise recovery people will come to your house to recover the amount. How can I pay this amount when I never use my card & this membership.
          Customer care executives are very rude and unproffessional. really i have never seen like this. They will never help us. They call me everyday to pay this amount. I have already cut my card into four pieces & sent to the customer care Mumbai.
          Now I want to cancel my card & these charges.

So Please Revise The Bouncing and Late Payment Charges And Close My Card . I Do Not Want To Use Your Card. I am Tell a Single Thing That I Have a Citi Bank, Abn-Amro Bank, HSBC Bank Card And I Use Same Last 3 or 4 Year But I Could not Expact Like THIS Sevice By Barclay Bank.           Barclays Times Credit Card — Cancellation of Times Priority membership registration

          Hi,

          I am Barclays Times Card customer. I got the call from your executive for Times Priority membership registration. I have accepted the membership at that time. But now think this will not be much useful for me so I want to cancel my registration.

          That's why I call Times Priority customer care no 011 – 45081222. I told that same to one of executive and she forwarded my call to her supervisor. I have again described the same to her. She told me that "we don't have any policy for cancellation of this membership". And I have to pay that 6000+ taxes ammount in any case.

          I want to cancel the registration and if I am not going to use this service in future so why should I pay for its registration.

          Please help me or advice.

          Barclays is a cheater bank, they are not going through the facts what they conveyed at the time of selling anything, as I conversed with one of its associate and he confirmed that I can cancel my priority circle charges with in the 21days of getting the welcome kit in which all the offers will be in written and everything is not clear on phone but when I read the offers find these are not worthy for me so I asked the customer care to cancel it as per their terms and conditions i.e with the the period of 21days but no luck...

          I got a call from various departments and messages of threats ... and now the charges has been increased by 7000+..

          they people are not ready to do anything in this case...

I got the request number 1691379. when I called to customer care on June 02, 2009 I have words with Piyush he confirmed me that he will again filled the request and give me the request number CAS-1736027.

          I want to cancel my card as soos as possible as I fed up with the calls and messages getting from. and I am not getting if I am following your terms and conditions why not getting proper response, Is there any mistake in syatem or the things are not clear to all????

            It is the exactly same case for me. Same cheque bounce issues when there is sufficient balance in the account and harrassing messages and calls at odd hours. Is there a immediate remedy to this as I am frustrated with Barclays and need immediate help to deal with this.

            I'm using the barclays cerdit card for the past 2 years. The actual amount due as on 1-1-2009 was Rs 20987.81/- and the last transaction i made was on[protected] for Rs 640/- .Thereafter i received a message in my mobile showing the amount due as Rs 29760.85/- . for which the stament has not been received in the month of January .Since i have not made any transaction after[protected] there is no provision to esculate the amount ot an extent of Rs29760.85/- which is irregular. However i have received a message on[protected] at 18.11 hrs from AM BARCLAYS in my mobile stating that " PLEASE IGNORE YOUR MESAAGE PAYMENT DUE DATE . WE REGRET THE ERROR AND WE WILL BE SENDING FOR A REVISED MESSAGE SHORTLY ."
            Thereafter i have contacted the customer care Bombay and to my suprise i came to know that i have ande a foreign transfers on 21/[protected] for Rs 8061/- and for Rs 283/- respectively . The above transaction is not made by me and it is purely without my knowledge .when i enquired at Chennai on[protected] it was told that i have spent the money for TOFEL & GRE EXAMINATION which is also bogus .
            In the circumstances explained above, i request the customer care (Bombay) to sent the revised statement for Rs 20987.18 /- which is actually due or else i am compelled to approach OMBUDSMAN to establish the same
            An early action will be appreciated and revised statement may be sent at the earliest

As i have made a purchase of Rs47160.00my due date was 25/3/09 on 23/3/09.I drop a chq. no 103280 of excellent co op bank in your drop box. but after 5days the chq was not presented in my account so i call your customer service no. They said your chq is lost so pls make a stop payment and issue new chq or give cash on 2/4/09 i made a cash payment receipt no c658185 dt 2/4/09.but again i was getting message on my mobile for payment so i call your customer service no. and i gave them full detail on same day they dabetait in my account on 8/4/09 Next day i got a call that your chq is not lost but it was out dated chq. from due date till 8thApril there was no call regardingmy chq.this is not my folt i made a payment on time.then why should i pay late fee charges and interest.
            I request you to pls settle my account. and finesh of this matter.

              It is submitted that I have been using your Barclay Credit Card from long time and I never missed to pay back my dues. I have receiverd your statment in the month of April because of which I forgot to pay my dues or minimum dues. Further I have withdrawn cash from this card. later on I have received call from your bank representative that your card is overlimit by withdrawing this cash money. I got shocked to know that fee/ charges amounting to Rs. 1235/- has been imposed for withdrawing cash being overlimit and late payment charges that is only because I had not received the statement. It is pertinent to mention here that as per your statement I have withdrawn case on 24.5.2008 and the same has been deposited on 05.06.2008 as reflected in your back statement. I think in no way it can be jutified besides it should be waived off by your bank being old and regular customer, With this such a shocking experience I do not want to continue to be customer of your bank. I am hereby surrending the credit card and I will deposit only the genuine amount outstanding on my card. In this regard I surrunder my credit card to the Manager, Barclay Card, P.O.Box No. 11567, Nariman Point, Mumbai 400021 by Registray two months ago and also reported to your customer care phone number. But no response and telephone recieved from you. But your regular monthly bills with the charges of overlimit received regularly and received your excutives phone daily four or five times.but no response of my letter received yet.Please reply me on my e-mail [protected]@yahoo.com and also send the final bill after remvoing the extra charges

                I am sick and tired of receiving calls from Barclays Bank Credit Card tele callers. I receive almost 6-7 a day. Inspite of repeated requests to take me off their caller lists, they donot seem to understand. T

                But when someone is not intrested, his number should be immediately flagged and removed from database.

                I have the following suggestions to Barclays Bank.

                1) Publish email addresses and direct mobile numbers of their Chairman, Director, General Managers on Barclays website and see to it that every call is attended in 3 rings.
                2) Penalize telemarketer for repeated offence and pay the amount to complainant by Barclays cheque.
                3) Learn to apologize the way ICICI does.
                4) Have some basic respect to privacy of others and human beings in particular.

                Dear Sir,

                This is to inform you that I am the Credit Card Holder of Barclay Bank, they have not sent the statement for last 01 year inspite of several request only because of raise the late payment fees, service charges etc. Thats why the amount will be high . But suddenly they have hired a Goonda named as Mr. Walia from Delhi and asking for full amount immediately . How can I make the payment immediately? and threatening and torturing me over mobile Phone and land line phone. Not only that He has told me that I will kill your family. What is this ??? My purchase amount most probably for Rs.8000/- to 9000/- approximately. He is disturbing my Employer also., that wil effect in my service. I am a very middleclass family. I am agree to pay the minimum amount due in monthly basis.I am asking for statement But he is denied to give me the satement.Continiously he is telling me to make the payment otherwise they will attack me with their team. Please help me from Goonda of barclay bank. Only because of raising late payment fees and service charges and to raise the higher bill, the they have made this type of incident.

                  It is with great regret I wish to inform you that as mentioned in your mail regarding reversal of chgs that the reversal will be reflected in my next statement due on 19.08.08. Today I have recd the statement wherein the said reversal has not been reflected and further debits have taken place due to non reversal of that amt.
                  Total amt due in 19.6.08 statement was Rs 5362.98 for which the due dt was 08.08.08.I have made the cash pyt of Rs 4875/- for which I hold the receipt with me and it is reflecting in your 19.07.08 statement. 5362.98 - 4875.00=487/90. Accordingly after making the payment of Rs.4875/- my total outstanding due should be NIL in the statement which I have recd whereas still in the statemnt it is showing debit of Rs 722.34. Kindly settle the matter and reverse all the chgs as the payment has already been made from my side.
                  Kindly do the needful and revert back to me.

                    Dear Sir,

                    I am a holder of Barclays Prermier League card (Card no. 4XXXXXXXXXXX8870).

                    My first statement got generated on 7th June'2008.In the second statement generated on 8th July'2008 i noticed a component of Debit Interest of Rs 129.21(Plus service tax of Rs 15.97 on it).
                    When i called Barclays customer care & enquired about it the customer service representative (a Lady) after checking her system told me that this is a "System error" & she apoligised & told me that this will be reversed in the next statement.

                    On 11/08/08 i recieved an SMS on my mobile that statement has been generated for this month & amount due is Rs 11313.7. I was surprised as i expected the amount to be lesser. On enquiring the customer service representative told me that due to not depositing complete payment on due date they have levied some Debit interest to me. I told him that the same was levied to me in earlier statement also & your representive had confirmed that it will be rolled back.
                    Moreover, i use other bank credit cards (including ICICI) also & pay minimum amount due before due date & remaing amount before statement generation date & No interest is levied to me by other banks.

                    He said that its not possible to roll back & the lady had mistakenly told me that. Moreover its 25th August today & i have not recieved any statement for the month & my payment due date should be on 28th August.

                    Pls. let me know whether this kind of service from Barclays is justified.

                    I request you to reverese the charges wrongly levied in earlier statements & get your Phone customer service in place so that they do not misguide the customers by giving false statements.

                    Knowing & using the correct name of the customer, Its a your primary respect given to your customer.
                    The name on my card is G SRAVANTHI. My name is SRAVANTHI. Every month my satement is given in a wrong name as " S RAVANTHI GRIDDALURU", and your executives from collection dept. uses "RAVANTHI". Its just an insult. When i say to correct that they say to call customer service & its not their job. Is this the answer to give a customer. You are insulting firstly and you do not correct it. wow! wat a stupid response to give it. If i were in that place i would have connected the customer directly to the so called customer service dept., ans then talked about the payment.

                    Second thing is how many will call for the same matter & for the same purpose. How many times we have to reply for the same story. When ever you call me i have to listen a wrong mane. Any normal human will become wild and you can not blame them for that.

                    Third is when you say that you are sending some to get your payment by cash because i forgot to put a cheque, you must send orelse not. I would have dropped cheque immediately afte a remainder call. why should you say something which you do not & can not follow?

                    just don't neglect it. you will be in grave danger oneday.

                    If you think you are well established you are totally wrong. Mind you. I will immediately close your card. I have decided it.

                    Shame on you if can't even think these small things.

                    I would like to leave a complain or a comment. The worst customer service i ever received is by these people. I wont be recomending anyone to them.

                      Dear Barclays

                      I am not getting the Credit card statement since May-08 neither hard copy nor the soft copy.I have registered the complained 3 times but all time they have asked me that they will send the statement on email in 48 hour. But i am not getting the same. Now i am toatly disappointed with the services you have offered and now i want to terminate the card.

                      Last six month i am using your bank card but still i am not getting any statement from you, please send it timely at my office address also not getting any resonce from your costomer care, i always find it engaged, inform us your any landline number related to credit card and take seriously other i will surrender your card, without any previous information you have reduce my credit limit, pl tell us why?

                      HI,
                      I am also facing same problem with barclaycard. They charged membership fee in aug2008.i applied to cancel that membership in sep2008. i called so many times to call center and mails to service desk.
                      at last they sended one mail in jan regarding cancelation .upto jan i paid minimum amout .
                      after that mail i thought my amount will reverse and i didnt make payment.but upto now they didnt reversed and now they r telling it is not possible to cancel.
                      they time passed 9 months to cancel.
                      now that amount increased 9, 000rs .they r not sended any vouchers regarding that membership.
                      what is the use of taking that membership ? and daily so many calls getting from third party .

                      Every month i am paying minimum amount .now i am facing new problem with ur CSC Financial services.
                      Last month one extutive from CSC financial services called me to pay amount 300 .
                      if i paid that amount i will get reversal but upto now no reversal .
                      the receipt no: 536351.(collector name : satyam)
                      excutive name : nikhil - [protected].
                      Today i got call from this no -[protected] .
                      That excutive question me why u paid that amount. is not effected in ur account.
                      that excutive (nikhil ) is not updated .
                      he is telling now if i paid 310rs i can get reversal of 7860.

                      that guys r threating me.
                      how can i belive that guys.

                        Barclays credit card has really very poor services..you can take my example- I have paid my payment to barclays executive on time but yet after a month, It doesn't credit in my a/c and Barclays customer care service is really really really worst..Delhi /Ncr no.[protected] always busy even when I am writing this complaint at 1:oo A.m. at midnight ..its busy ..So you can think how worst is it ?..I have given the complaint by emai but after 3 days, NO response...So, I am going to file a complaint against barclays in consumer court...then see..My card No.-[protected]

                        I want to ask whole banks when we late to pay your fee on time then you can charge late payment fee but when you are late to credit the amt. in our a/c..So How much late fee should we charge from you whole bloody poor services bank...?Specially all private banks and SBI too...

                        Barclays credit card has really very poor services and worst company in the banking sector, I paid my payment on website on 1st of june through hdfc debit card, the transaction went through and transaction id also reflected on the screen, usually i get a massege on making payment but i dint receive any notification for the same so early in the morning i called them and spoke to agent parag he said it takes 48 hrs to get transaction completed kindly mr singh wait for 48 hrs. I waited for 2 days and got nothing from them. I was afraid of making another attempt untill and unless i got any response for my previous transaction. On 6 th of june i made a payment using the same method. after i spoke to an agent he asured me that due to technical error i would not be charged any late fees, and i need to wait till the time i receive my card statement. and on the statement they charged 700 rs as a late fees where as i had to pay 700rs as total due amnt my total amnt was now 1476 including LATE FEE. On 16th june i
                        i got an agent he said it will be waived if you wish you could pay minimum amnt of 150rs that i did on 1st of july. again i spoke to an agent and i asked for supervisor got manager named AJAY he assured that he will get back to me after three days and he said he will take personel follow up of my case else i can also call after 7 days. after 15days i tried getting in touch with the same person but agent either placed me on hold for long long time and never came back or hung up on me. i could not get the manager i spokr to and the way agent respond was unacceptable. now am a frequent user of barclays my current balance is 13400.00 and hope this attempt would give me justice.

                        Barclays Juniper DESPICABLE

                        I have a Barclays Juniper issued card from them with USAirway miles rewards. Recently had a total balance payment put on hold -- you get the idea from others here. I was about to start using this card for monthly purchases and pay the total off each month as I found out they barely add anything additional to their minimum payments -- it's like 90% interest. Well I am not going to use this card period and I am going to ask for a refund of my annual fee as well as contact USAirways with my displeasure and concern. I have another USAirways card, a Signature VISA, thru Bank of America which is really good for minimum automatic payments as they take the payment out on the date the statement comes out so you don't pay interest on interest. In addition, a few years ago I disputed a charge with Barclays Juniper to no avail. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH Barclays Juniper, A TRULY DESPICABLE BUSINESS! I cannot believe what they are getting away with!

They said your chq is lost so pls make a stop payment and issue new chq or give cash on 2/4/09 i made a cash payment receipt no c658185 dt 2/4/09.but again i was getting message on my mobile for payment so i call your customer service no. and i gave them full detail on same day they dabetait in my account on 8/4/09 Next day i got a call that your chq is not lost but it was out dated chq. from due date till 8thApril there was no call regardingmy chq.this is not my folt i made a payment on time.then why should i pay late fee charges and interest.

I have Contacted in customer care so many times, but they could not solve my problem, you may please look in the matter to solve my grievances and reversed the late payment charges and interest wrongly charged to me.

                          Dear Ms. Meera Rawat,

                          I wish to draw your attention to a complaint I have which is of a rather serious nature. I am detailing the spefics of the anomaly below. Also, I'd like to apologize in advance for the somewhat harsh use of words I may be indulging in below, It's not my intention to insult you or anyone for that matter, I just need my complaint to be attended to ASAP as it's being going from pillar to post way too long and is causing me a LOT of frustration.

                          I used to hold a Barclaycard # [protected]. I use the term "used" because I have cleared ALL the outstanding balance on the said card more than 2 MONTHS ago. Allow me to explain it a bit further. On the 30th May 2008 I called barclays customer service line and asked to speak to a Supervisor. My call was then put forward to the Supervisor for that shift, Ms. Joy Salins. I told her I wanted to pay off ALL the current outstanding on the said card and requested her to let me know the total outstanding as ON DATE which was Rs. 39, 897.53 (As told by Ms. Joy Salins). I told, and re-told Ms. Joy Salins to verify the amount she mentioned to me and also added that if next month if barclays comes to me saying that "Oh, there is some more amount outstanding etc etc" I will NOT entertain that.

                          Ms. Joy Salins assured me that the amount she told me (Rs. 39, 897.53) was indeed the final amount and after I paid that amount I woiuld NO LONGER OWN ANYTHING TO BARCLAYS. So, with her assurance I went ahead and dropped a Cheque No. 263557 for Rs. 39, 897.53 dated 29/05/08 drawn on Andhra Bank in one of the Barclays drop box in Dombivli. This cheque was cleared on the 3rd June 2008 and the amount of Rs. 39, 897.53 was transferred to Barclays as FULL & FINAL payment towards my Barclaycard. I then called up the customer service line again for cancellation of my card upon which my request was taken on record and I was told the card would be cancelled in a few days. After that I had called once again to check if the card was cancelled or not but I was told that the cancellation is in progress and I will be informed about the same.

                          Now, fast forward to July 14 2008 where all of a sudden, out of the blue I receive a SMS telling me my barclaycard statement has been generated and the minimum amount payable is Rs. 1451.79. HUH? WHAT? I immediately called up the Barclay customer service line and I was told that there was an EMI which was not closed the last time. WHAT THE HELL?

                          In a couple of days I received the Barclaycard statement which shocked me even further. It contains not ONE but THREE emi's which are showing up as ongoing. WHAT THE BLOODY HELL IS THIS?. An even bigger shock waited for me as I read one certain line in the statement, which was : "Credit Balance Refund - Rs. 18543.05 Debit" !!! WHAT IN THE NAME OF GOD IS THIS??? I called up the customer service line again and I was told Barclays' sent me a Cheque for that amount!!! WHAT NONSENSE!! I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY CHEQUE FROM BARCLAYS!!! I told that to the agent taking my call and also asked why barclays decided to send me a cheque, and they were unable to provide me ANY reason why barclays' would send me a Cheque for that amount. Also, the date on the statement said "June 12 - July 12 2008" and the previous statement I had was "April 12 to May 12 2008".

                          I owed Barclays' Rs. 39, 897.53 and I PAID Barclays' Rs. 39, 897.53. MATTER CLOSED. Why the HELL would Barclays' send me a Cheque for 18, 543.05? Can someone PLEASE explain to me the Logic behind this? And to repeat what I've already typed a couple of lines above, I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY CHEQUE FROM BARCLAYS!!!

                          I need the following points clarified immediately :

                          1. What is all this EMI was not closed nonsense? Firstly, if any EMI was not closed, why was I NOT informed about it?? And it's not been just 1-2 days or a week, I was not informed for a WHOLE 2.5 months?? I refuse to accept any excuse on that part and I also refuse to accept that there is any payment due. If "according to Barclays" there is any payment due, then kindly recover that from Ms. Joy Salins as she was the one who assured me that the amount of Rs. 39, 897.53 was the FINAL amount and after paying that I do not owe a single paisa to Barclays. How dare Barclays' continue charging me for what I have already paid??? I see in the statement "EMI capital, EMI Interest etc etc".. What NONSENSE is this? I refuse to suffer for a mistake YOUR supervisor made. If this email is not enough, I need you to organise a face to face meeting of Me and Barclays' officials in which I NEED the recording of my call played back in the presence o[censored]s all where Ms. Joy Salins assures me that Rs. 39, 897.53 is the FINAL amount I need to pay after which I don't owe anything to Barclays'.

                          2. Kindly explain to me the logic behind Barclays sending me a Cheque for Rs.18543.05? I owed a certain amount and I paid off that certain amount (Rs. 39, 897.53) then WHY IN THE HELL would Barclays send me a Cheque for 18, 543.05?? I seriously fail to see any reason behind this. Moreover, even if you did send it I HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT!... and if Barclays' really did send it then Why has Barclays' not made any effort to check whether that Cheque was indeed delivered or not? Why was I not informed about it, no call, no letter, no email from Barclays' side?????????? Once again I repeat that I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY SUCH CHEQUE!!.

                          3. Lastly, Where is the statement from May 12 to June 12? I never received any statemenrt for that period and upon asking that to the agent from customer service, he blatantly LIED to me that It was generated and sent. Statements are sent via courier and its not possible that they would get lost somewhere. Also, when a statement is sent I used to receive an SMS which I never received in this case. When I asked the agent these questions, as usual.. he had NO ANSWER!!! After paying off what I owed to Barclays' (Rs. 39, 897.53) the next statement I received was dated "June 12 - July 12" and the previous one is "April 12 - May 12" so where in the hell is "May 12 - June 12"?? It shouldn't even be generated as I had already cleared off ALL of my dues, but still I'm mentioning this discrepancy.

                          I have called the Barclay customer support line multiple times and have spoken with multiple agents, the last 2 calls were taken by agents named Rahul and Mahadev in that order. Despire multiple calls there has been NO ACTION on Barclays' part and its causing me a LOT OF FRUSTRATION, TRAUMA and STRESS seeing and experiencing the mind boggling INCOMPETENCE Barclays' has been displaying. I see incompetence, irresponsibility, lack of commitment and a seriously lackadaisal attitude EVERYWHERE in Barclays... the Supervisors, the Agents... all INCOMPETENT!

                          I don't think you understand that you CANNOT treat a customer like that! I've given up calling the customer service line because calling there gets me nothing but greatly confused agents who place my call on hold multiple times and who havent been able to even escalate my queries upwards of the channel!!! I am being continually harassed by calls of recovery agents right from 7am in the morning asking for money that I don't owe!!.

                          It's a SHAME for barclays' that I'm having to put it across this way, in these words!

                          I am writing to you Ms. Rawat as a final venue and I request you to look into this matter urgently. I would appreciate if you could call me, I need this thing closed and FAST.

                          Would greatly appreciate some immediate and result oriented action in this case.

                          I used to hold a Barclaycard # [protected]. I use the term "used" because I have cleared ALL the outstanding balance on the said card more than 2 MONTHS ago. Allow me to explain it a bit further. On the 30th May 2008 I called barclays customer service line and asked to speak to a Supervisor. My call was then put forward to the Supervisor for that shift, Ms. Joy Salins. I told her I wanted to pay off ALL the current outstanding on the said card and requested her to let me know the total outstanding as ON DATE which was Rs. 39, 897.53 (As told by Ms. Joy Salins). I told, and re-told Ms. Joy Salins to verify the amount she mentioned to me and also added that if next month if barclays comes to me saying that "Oh, there is some more amount outstanding etc etc" I will NOT entertain that.

                          Ms. Joy Salins assured me that the amount she told me (Rs. 39, 897.53) was indeed the final amount and after I paid that amount I woiuld NO LONGER OWN ANYTHING TO BARCLAYS. So, with her assurance I went ahead and dropped a Cheque No. 263557 for Rs. 39, 897.53 dated 29/05/08 drawn on Andhra Bank in one of the Barclays drop box in Dombivli. This cheque was cleared on the 3rd June 2008 and the amount of Rs. 39, 897.53 was transferred to Barclays as FULL & FINAL payment towards my Barclaycard. I then called up the customer service line again for cancellation of my card upon which my request was taken on record and I was told the card would be cancelled in a few days. After that I had called once again to check if the card was cancelled or not but I was told that the cancellation is in progress and I will be informed about the same.

                          Now, fast forward to July 14 2008 where all of a sudden, out of the blue I receive a SMS telling me my barclaycard statement has been generated and the minimum amount payable is Rs. 1451.79. HUH? WHAT? I immediately called up the Barclay customer service line and I was told that there was an EMI which was not closed the last time. WHAT THE HELL?

                          In a couple of days I received the Barclaycard statement which shocked me even further. It contains not ONE but THREE emi's which are showing up as ongoing. WHAT THE BLOODY HELL IS THIS?. An even bigger shock waited for me as I read one certain line in the statement, which was : "Credit Balance Refund - Rs. 18543.05 Debit" !!! WHAT IN THE NAME OF GOD IS THIS??? I called up the customer service line again and I was told Barclays' sent me a Cheque for that amount!!! WHAT NONSENSE!! I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY CHEQUE FROM BARCLAYS!!! I told that to the agent taking my call and also asked why barclays decided to send me a cheque, and they were unable to provide me ANY reason why barclays' would send me a Cheque for that amount. Also, the date on the statement said "June 12 - July 12 2008" and the previous statement I had was "April 12 to May 12 2008".

                          I owed Barclays' Rs. 39, 897.53 and I PAID Barclays' Rs. 39, 897.53. MATTER CLOSED. Why the HELL would Barclays' send me a Cheque for 18, 543.05? Can someone PLEASE explain to me the Logic behind this? And to repeat what I've already typed a couple of lines above, I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY CHEQUE FROM BARCLAYS!!!

                          I need the following points clarified immediately :

                          1. What is all this EMI was not closed nonsense? Firstly, if any EMI was not closed, why was I NOT informed about it?? And it's not been just 1-2 days or a week, I was not informed for a WHOLE 2.5 months?? I refuse to accept any excuse on that part and I also refuse to accept that there is any payment due. If "according to Barclays" there is any payment due, then kindly recover that from Ms. Joy Salins as she was the one who assured me that the amount of Rs. 39, 897.53 was the FINAL amount and after paying that I do not owe a single paisa to Barclays. How dare Barclays' continue charging me for what I have already paid??? I see in the statement "EMI capital, EMI Interest etc etc".. What NONSENSE is this? I refuse to suffer for a mistake YOUR supervisor made. If this email is not enough, I need you to organise a face to face meeting of Me and Barclays' officials in which I NEED the recording of my call played back in the presence o[censored]s all where Ms. Joy Salins assures me that Rs. 39, 897.53 is the FINAL amount I need to pay after which I don't owe anything to Barclays'.

                          2. Kindly explain to me the logic behind Barclays sending me a Cheque for Rs.18543.05? I owed a certain amount and I paid off that certain amount (Rs. 39, 897.53) then WHY IN THE HELL would Barclays send me a Cheque for 18, 543.05?? I seriously fail to see any reason behind this. Moreover, even if you did send it I HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT!... and if Barclays' really did send it then Why has Barclays' not made any effort to check whether that Cheque was indeed delivered or not? Why was I not informed about it, no call, no letter, no email from Barclays' side?????????? Once again I repeat that I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY SUCH CHEQUE!!.

                          3. Lastly, Where is the statement from May 12 to June 12? I never received any statemenrt for that period and upon asking that to the agent from customer service, he blatantly LIED to me that It was generated and sent. Statements are sent via courier and its not possible that they would get lost somewhere. Also, when a statement is sent I used to receive an SMS which I never received in this case. When I asked the agent these questions, as usual.. he had NO ANSWER!!! After paying off what I owed to Barclays' (Rs. 39, 897.53) the next statement I received was dated "June 12 - July 12" and the previous one is "April 12 - May 12" so where in the hell is "May 12 - June 12"?? It shouldn't even be generated as I had already cleared off ALL of my dues, but still I'm mentioning this discrepancy.

                          I have called the Barclay customer support line multiple times and have spoken with multiple agents, the last 2 calls were taken by agents named Rahul and Mahadev in that order. Despire multiple calls there has been NO ACTION on Barclays' part and its causing me a LOT OF FRUSTRATION, TRAUMA and STRESS seeing and experiencing the mind boggling INCOMPETENCE Barclays' has been displaying. I see incompetence, irresponsibility, lack of commitment and a seriously lackadaisal attitude EVERYWHERE in Barclays... the Supervisors, the Agents... all INCOMPETENT!

                          I don't think you understand that you CANNOT treat a customer like that! I've given up calling the customer service line because calling there gets me nothing but greatly confused agents who place my call on hold multiple times and who havent been able to even escalate my queries upwards of the channel!!! I am being continually harassed by calls of recovery agents right from 7am in the morning asking for money that I don't owe!!.

                          It's a SHAME for barclays' that I'm having to put it across this way, in these words!

                          I am writing to you Ms. Rawat as a final venue and I request you to look into this matter urgently. I would appreciate if you could call me, I need this thing closed and FAST.

                          Would greatly appreciate some immediate and result oriented action in this case.

                          i thought i`d finished paying what i owed to barclaycard, they used to send me statements every month, between 2007 and 2008 i never heard anything off them, october 2008 i moved to a new house, then on the 13th september 2010 i received a letter from hfo sevices limited saying that barclaycard had sold them my so called debt and i`ve got to pay them £1830.93, £500 charges is also included, the letter also said `as you`ve already been informed` i`ve never heard of hfo services or had any type of letter of them in the 2yrs i`ve lived at my current address.
                          i`m really angry and hav`nt had much sleep since i got that letter, i`ve been looking for answers on the internet. i`m a single parent of an 11yr old, i`m unemployed at the moment and looking for a job, i get £109.70 every 2 weeks, out of that i pay £30 a month to united utilities, £12.12 tv licence and pay £10 gas and £10 electric every 2 weeks, i`m going to try trading standards, god help the bailiff if he knocks at my door now, i wont be held responsible for my actions, haha,
                          this is tmbostock, on friday 24th september 2010 i received a second letter from hfo scum, this time my credit report from equifax was attatched to it, i hav`nt a clue what it means, it says `Your dossier indicates that you can make contributions towards this outstanding debt, it also says they will seek to enforce A WARRANT OF EXECUTION, and court appointed bailiffs will come to my house and seize my assets which will then be sold at public auction to pay this ``debt`` Or hfo scum (my word) may also instruct its solicitors to secure an Order to Obtain Information against you, which means you will have to produce your financial documents, if it is found that your financial situation is better than what you represented, the court might concider taking a stern action against you.

                          i worked out what i`d paid barclaycard from old barclays bank statements,
                          i`ve paid £1760, ( or more because i`ve misplaced a few pages, ) hfo scum say i owe £1830.93, the balance is £74 71,

                            have been offered job of a bulk Teller in london. the offer did directly come from the HR desk of Barclyas Uk Churchill Place office. The concerned person name was Mr Paul Henson. He said he can only forward the offer letter in physical when i give some pounds for the affidavit of guarantee reqd form the British High Court. Have talked with British Deputy High Commission Calcutta on this issue. They suggested me to report this to Barclays India official. Accordingly have talked with Shilpa Khanna (HR) In mUmbai Barclays Ph no [protected]. She confirmed it to be fraud but offered no remedy to the harassment i faced . this is really unexpected form a banking giant like Barclays.

                            after that i call to barclay customer care but they told me that they have no info about my documents...

                            if all above thing are unnecessary to find credit card they should tell me. otherwise send me my all documents with satisfied reason why i didn't find my card till now.

                              First i like to wish my nation for given this online compliant Facility to consumers of India. Through this mail I have registered a complaint to Barclays credit card for the below mentioned reason. I have made the payment on time i.e. with in the due date to Barclay’s credit card collection department and also I have given the receipt number to the collection department telecallers, even they have updated in their system.still I am receiving consecutive calls once in a hour from Barclays card for the payment confirmation. I have already raised a complaint to Barclays credit card customer care department but they are taken my complaint carelessly and also told me this is my duty to inform the receipt number when ever they ask, for that I am receiving almost 10 to 15 calls per day from Barclays card when ever I was in essential work when ever I was in travel even in Sundays when ever I have taken rest, for their activities my mind entirely diverted as well as my work. regarding this Kindly give a solution for me, as well as please inform me is it possible to sue against them for loss of work and concentration, why because for the last four days i have been Tortured by Barclays credit card peoples.

                              This is rizwana i am using barclay credit card since april 2008. In the month of april i swiped my credit card in GOLDQUEST INTERNATION COMPANY. I am suppose to receive the product. In the month of May 2008, SouthIndia became a big problem, that the Goldquest company is a close and they have cheated many people. Even i too paid Rs. 29, 460 from my barclay credit card.

                              Even my friend is also joined in the same and paid the paid, once the she came to know that the company is a fake company then she called up HDFC and asked for reveised payment. HDFC bank enquired and they reveised the payment in her card.

                              So, My question is after calling customer care executives, i requested them that this is unauthorized payment and the amount need to be reveised. But there is no step taken up.

                              Regulary i am receiving call for the payment. I am ready to pay the interest for the amount which is swiped but i cant pay the full amount. It is unauthorized payment, you people need to reveised that amount into my card.

                              If any quires related to that new, you can verify.

                              This is to inform you that I am the Credit Card Holder of Barclay Bank, they have not sent the statement for last 01 year inspite of several request only because of raise the late payment fees, service charges etc. That’s why the amount will be high . But suddenly they have hired a Goonda named as Mr. Walia from Delhi and asking for full amount immediately . How can I make the payment immediately? and threatening and torturing me over mobile Phone and land line phone. Not only that He has told me that I will kill your family. What is this ???. Bank cannot do this legally this type of harassment. My purchase amount most probably for Rs.8000/- to 9000/- approximately. He is disturbing my Employer also., that will effect in my service. I am a very middleclass family. I am agree to pay the minimum amount due in monthly basis. I am asking for statement But he is denied to give me the statement .Continuously he is telling me to make the payment otherwise they will attack me with their team. Please help me from Goonda of barclay bank. Only because of raising late payment fees and service charges and to raise the higher bill, the they have made this type of incident. I am 100% agree to pay the minimum amount due against my total outstanding. Gradually I will pay the amount to Bank., but not at a time.                                 I started using the above mentioned card very recently & in the first billing cycle itself I got an bad experience of poor operations Management of Barclays Services.
                                My last bill was due for payment on 25th May 2008. I dropped the Cheque in the Bill Box which is located at lower parel station on 23rd May 08.(3 days prior to due date) Still in the immediate next statement of June 08 Bank charged me rs 634.45 as a late Payment fee. Then I started oral as well as in writing correspondence with the bank to cancel this undue late payment fee. But Bank Denied it & instead every month added further late payment fee on the original undue late fee of rs 634.45. This way from June till august it has recahed to extent of Rs 1900/-.
                                Even after expalining the bank several times the bank is not ready to agree & now the bank has started annying and frustrating me by sending 2-3 SMS every day saying that if I do not make an immediate payment, my name will be referred to Credit Bureau. I wanted help of the consumer forum to take this issue with the Bank.

                                SOME ADDITIONAL POINTS WHICH ONE SHOULD NOTE :

                                1) The selection of the Drop Box was done after taking confirmation from the Barclays customer service.

                                2) On 24th as well as on 26th may, I had received a call
                                from the collection department for the payment details. I had given them all the cheque details and also explained them the location of the drop box where the cheque was dropped. However as per next billing statement dated 5th June I
                                was charged Rs 634.45 as a consolidated effect of the late payment of previous statement of May 08.

                                3) I had called up the customer service on 16th as well as
                                on 17th June 08 to put up a request to waive of the late payment fees, wherein the executive informed me that the cheque was collected on 30th may, which means BARCLAYS took 7 days just to get the cheque collected from the drop box. And now this delay in collection is being charged to me as the late payment fee.
                                The executive further informed me that the cheques which
                                are dropped in BILL BOX takes realization time of minimum 7 to 8 days.
                                However this was not informed to me when I had called up the customer service on 22 may 08 before dropping the cheque to know the appropriate loaction of the DROP BOX . This fact is neither mentioned on their website noe on the product brochure. Barclays is simply cheating with their customer.

                                4) In anyways 7 to 8 days lead time for the collection of cheques is a very long & unjustified period for the task of collection when the other banks like HDFC, ICICI takes maximum 2-3 days for the same task.

                                5) Later I also started writing to the bank to waive off / cancel the charges but they simply & flatly denied it + kept on charging additional late payment fee on basic late payment fee of 634.45 which itself was under dispute with me. Barclays Can not force their own set of rules on the customers. SUCH POOR SERVICE WAS NEVER EXPECTED OUT OF A BANK WITH INTERNATINAL REPUTE LIKE BARCLAYS.

                                6) Considering the above situation, you can observe that I am not in fault, I have made the payment in due time still I am being suffered. Hence I would like to request you to take up this issue with The Bank to cancel the entire late payment fee on my account + also not doing such nasty treatment with any other customers.

                                Barclay Bank — wrong interest & late payment charges levied

                                i will present the facts of the case in a chronological order for you to understand that this delay is not my fault.



                                10 - Jun - 2008 I dropped cheque bearing 086732 dt. 10/06/08 of Rs.2090/- at Nehru Place drop box,



                                16 - Jun - 2008 I was informed by your call center that my cheque has not been recveid and probably lost during transit by your courier agency and they asked me to give a new cheque for the same amount, I asked them to come and collect from my office address. They categorically told me that I wont have to pay any charges as the cheque was lost due to negligence on part of your courier / collection guy.



                                19 - June - 2008 I was again contacted by you call center and told that they are sending a representative to collect the new cheque. A guy named Padam from your collection agency visited my office and I gave him a cheque bearing no: 086735 for an amount of INR 2090 vide Receipt no. DLCCBS 49028 DT. 20/06/08.



                                Now to my utter surprise, i have been again sent a statement which contains internst and alte payment charges. as you would appreacixte in the above matter i am nowhere at falult so i would request you to waive off the late payment charges & interest at the earliest and send me a freas stamtent.

                                I had Rs.40638/- balance on my Barclays card. The due date was 7th June 2008. On 5th June, Barclays call centre gave a call to me saying that they have the facility of giving the cheque to their collection executives and i can do so. I enquired since my due date is 7th, will the late payment fee not charged in case i give them. Otherwise i can make the payment my self. They confirmed that charges will not be levied in case i give the cheque to them before the due date. The executive collected the cheque and given me the reciept. I have verified his identity proof.
                                But they have sent the cheque for clearing late and they say that the amount got credited to barclays bank only on 11th. So they have levied an interest and late payment fee on me.
                                At the first instant I would have made the payment by myself and made sure the payment reaches them in time.
                                This is a deliberate attempt by barclays bank to levy unneccesary charges.

                                Barclay Bank Credit Card — Charged Late Payment Fee Even Though Cheque Was Dropped Well in time

                                My Credit Card Number is [protected].I have make purchasing of 10160/-. My credit card due date was 2nd June'08. I have already made the payment to barclay on 02nd June'08 through ATM drop box by Cheque . I also got three, four calls from barclay customer care in that days and I give the cheque detail and payment confirmation to barclay. After That barclay is saying they got the cheque on 11th June'08. They are charging interest on my next month statement. I Talked many time in there customer care center but they are not ready to reversal there charges. I'm getting everyday 10-12 sms and calls from barclay. from this numbers[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected] &[protected]. I'm alrady made my all payment but barclay charging interest and interest without any reason. This is very embarrassing how they can react with there customer. I Never seen such kind of cases in my life.I will never suggest to anybuddy to go for barclay credit card and i'm not reliable to pay any amt to barclay.
                                Dont worry Ganesh welcome to the club!! These scoundrels are masters at harrasing the customer. It will get worse be prepared. From March till date I have received over 700 phone calls for a similar dispute. And over 1000 sms. For an mount of Rs 114/-only which they have wrongly charged like your case.So your suffering has just begun. But I havent given up I am fighting. Soon I think I shall initiate legal action against this fraud bank.
                                Yeah Me too If they don't understanding our language. They are Thinking that customer is fool but they don't know our power. Barclay is very new in Indian Banking field. He needs to make gud relation between coustomer but his making a bad picture like that type of cases.                                 Barclays bank Credit card — Late Fee Payment

                                I am having a Barclays Bank Credit Card. Even though I have deposited payment of credit card well before 10 days of due date, I have been charged with late fees of Rs 600 (Approx) two times in last three months. When i asked about why this has happen i didn't got any solid reply. Every time customer care told me to wait for next 15 days. Still i am waiting for reply from BARCLAYS INDIA.
                                I got one message on my cell Rs. 40, 000 has been transfered to your barclays to HDFC card. I stunned I have never given this kind of request & I have no HDFC Credit Card. I Have given reques many times to customer care. No body listening my complaint what i can do with these people. They also send bill of Rs. 40, 000 and transfer charges Rs. 800. Who can pay this amount.

                                I have also decided to fight with citi for same reason... my payment due date was 05-jan, and i had droped cheque into their drop box on 01-jan... cheque gets cleared from my account on 05-jan morning itself... now bank is asking me to pay late charges + interest etc

                                Barclays — Wrong Late payment and Interest charges

                                After coming to Delhi as an honest customer I contacted your customer care and requested them to send me the statement on my email-id and i updated my new contact no. in their database.

                                Instead of sending me the statement they started sending me the message for payment and at last on 19th January they send me the statement for November'08 instead of December'08.

                                When i inquired about the matter i came to know that the reason of not sending the December Statement is that they have charged some wrong charges in December Statement.

                                When I asked them to send the statement to me they declined and asked to make the payment first.

                                Barclays Credit Card — late payment fee and about membership

                                I am holding a Barclays Credit Card since last 1 1/2 yrs. I dropped cheque in suggested drop box within due date and bank not processed my cheque in time. B'coz of late processing cheque by bank they added late fee and interest in my balance.!! i got a call regarding lifetime membership joining !!! they asked 4, 000RS for joining that circle i told am not having that much cash now!!they told they will take money from barclaycard n no over due payments for this so i agreed!!ut now they included overdue payments for that month's bill!!there is no service centres in chennai nor tamilnadu for contacting the bank too!!pls help us regarding this !!
                                I had the similar case like Mr ganesh Bhatt, I have dropped my cheque 5 days before the due date. Bank deposited the cheque very late and they have put penalty on me. I have never seen such banks in my life. There were some wrong transactions also found in my statement. I am fighting with the bank from last 15 months. Till No action from the Bank
                                see I have been sending cheques to bombay against the dues on the credit card as I donot have any contact with in chennai. There were a day or 2 days delay. and also I have stopped using the card since November and regularly I am getting the bill with penal interest and late payment fee and now i am getting a message that I have to pay Rs, . 6292.05 what way i will come out of this is really a big question because if i contact for settlement they want me to pay the whole amount and every month this is creeping. is there any forum to contact in order to settle the issue. I wont be in position to pay the late payment fee and interest charges claiming an amount for which i was sincerely not liable.

                                  I am customer of Barclaycard and paid all the credit card dues on time. To my surprise, I got a SMS from Barclaycard on June 20th, saying I have crossed the credit limit and suggested me to pay the amount immediately. I immediately called up the customer care department of the Card and clarified that I have not done any transaction during that month and no dues are pending from me.

                                  As per Barclayscard, in June 19th there were transactions worth Rs. 1, 55, 666.38 ( including Bank charges) where my credit limit was Rs. 1, 50, 000/-. Fact is none of these transactions were done by me and I do not have any clue on merchant mentioned by the Bank. Those transactions were foreign currency transactions and I was very much in India on that day.

                                  I have called up Barclaycard many times and checked the status of these fraud transactions. They have informed me that they are enquiring about the incident and requested me to send a mail / letter to their Bank, which I have done. Also send them a mail and letter requesting them to cancel my card account since they do not have any security system in place to stop fraud transactions.

                                  Now I am getting harassed by Barclaycard collection agents for making payment as per the statement. I am getting around 6 calls and SMS's from the Bank / Collection Agent. I have informed Bank about these calls and checked the status about fraud transactions. Enquiry is still going on and they do not have any update till now. Since I do not have any other dues with Card, I am not making any payment.

                                  Request your help to stop these harassments from Barclaycard. Do I need to make a Police complaint against Barclaycard? Also request you suggestions to handle these kind of issues.

                                    Sir,

                                    I wish to inform your goodself that, i possess Barclay Bank Credit Card bearing no.[protected] wherein i received my credit card statement dated 5th April, 2008 wherein, the amount due was Rs.808/-, the last date for payment was 25.04.2008.

                                    Therefore, accordingly, i prepared cheque and send the same on Barclay Bank's postal address on dated 21.04.2008. Thereafter, when i noticed that the cheque has not been cleared from my account and contacted the Barclay Bank's Customer Care Executive on 28.04.2008 informing the above, wherein, the Customer Care Executive informed me that, the Bank will trace the cheque and accordingly credit in the statement.
                                    Meanwhile, I made payment of said bill by Internet Banking too on 28.04.2008 for Rs.808/- rather waiting for clearing of the above cheque.

                                    In the month of May 2008, i received statement dated 5th May, 2008 wherein, it can be seen that, i made payment twice of Rs.808/- therefore, i requested the Customer Care Executive to waive the late payment charges as its bank's fault of not regularly checking the Postal Box for which, they agreed and assured me that the late payment charges of Rs.300/- will be reverted to the credit card account but till date not received the same.

                                    Therafter, i requested on 09th May, 2008 to cancel my credit card as i am not satisfied with your services for which the customer care executive named Mr.Milind informed me that, you need to cancel your Priority Club Membership first or else you need to clear all the dues of your credit card.
                                    I replied and said, i have no dues yet and only the Club Membership i opted but not yet paid money for the same and therefore, i requested for cancellation of Priority Club Membership for which they denied and informed me that, they do not have policy of cancellation of Priority Club Membership.

                                    Accordingly, i sent several e-mails and Barclay Bank sent back the response e-mail stating that, they will fetch me positive result but till date nothing have come out. I also requested them to send an e-mail stating that, you have policy of not cancelling the Priority Club Membership for which they are not replying point wise.

                                    Now, Barclay Bank is charging me late payment charges every month.

                                    I humbly request your goodself to help me out for the same.

                                    Please advise.

                                    Dont pay Biraclays Priority Circulars Charges. Barclays executive explain me the scheme and told me to pay Rs.500 at the time of registration and they simply charged me Rs.6000 to my account.I am going log complaint against this as i think so many pepole cheated by bank such way.

                                      After which i am trying to call the all Barclays Priority Circle number [protected], [protected], [protected], which are always busy if you hold for 1/2 hours or you can say no-body to attend the call.
                                      I am not satisifed with service given by world class bank & request you to refund my money charged on my credit-card.

                                      who ever trying to get card from barclays - please do not sign unless you have written confirmation from the bank, because banks give False promises - especially on the membership of Barclays Priority Circle .

                                      This is really False promise...

                                      they charged me without my knowledge and i did not pay that after than they charged the late fee and made automatic call to my mobile for every one hour - which is really pathatic. because of this i paid the amount, it is now 4 weeks i did not get the trolley bag, which was included in the scheme.

                                      While promoting your priority card(times card), on phone your representative told that this card carries the benifit of 30% discount on purchases through out the life time + some other freebees. At that time itself I told him that I want all this in writing. He told, on receipt of the documents and if you are satishfied with the offer, then only you make payment otherwise there is no compulsion. After receipt of card and other gift and vouchers, I found that there is no mention about the 30% discount. But the bill for the upgradation is sent followed by SMSs. When I contacted on customer care, it is informed that there is no such offer and complaint is forwrded but I have to make payment. I also wrote you letter regarding this but there is no action. I want to bring to your notice that the commitment of 30% discount is not fulfilled while sending the card hence I will be returning this card alongwith old card without making any payment. Let me know your postal address where I can send this alonwith gift.
                                      Refer my complaint No. CAS1532670, I hereby do not want your priority circle membership due to no respose from you about the offer which was told on phone while promoting your card.

                                        There was an outstanding amount of Rs. 36, 330.00 of Feb'08 bill and payment date was 03 March 08. When I asked on 26 Feb 08 the customer care told that his representative will collect the cheque today itself. After repeated calls when he fails to collect the cheque, I was told by customer care on 29 Feb 08 to Drop the cheque in a drop box near petrol pump in DLF Phase-I Gurgoan. i had dropped at the said location on 29 Feb 08.

                                        My cheque is not been presented in the HDFC bank. Then I again call to Barclay customer care on 06 March 08 then representative come to collect on 09 March 08, he confirm that no extra amount to be charged and same was claimed on 14 March 08 by cheque dated 29 Feb 08 bank HDFC Rs. 36, 330.00.
                                        Barclay bank customer care were sending monthly card statement with interest and late payment charges and making repeated calls .On 3 Aug 08 at about 11:00 am from mobile no. [protected] the customer care told that he has not received any payment. Barclay bank are making threatening call & SMS. Today i.e. 05 Aug 08 I receive a SMS for putting my case with 'CIBIL'.

                                        Please guide and help.

                                        Barclay Bank PLC/Credit Card — Late Payment Charges

                                        This is in reference to my Barclay Bank Credit Card [protected] on which there is a wrong late payment fee of Rs. 1200 approx. I used this card in January 2008 and the statement generated on 18th Feb. 2008 but I had not received the statement till 5th March 2008 then on 6th March 2008 I called up the customer care dept. of Barclay Bank that I have to make a payment of Rs. 3973 and the CSE informed me that the due date for the payment is 10th March 2008.

                                        I asked if there is any facility to pay the amount in cash or can Barclay Bank executive visit me and collect the amount then the CSE sd that we do not provide such facility. Then on 7th March 08 I dropped a Citibank cheque of Rs. 3974 in a skypak box in Gurgaon and thought that it takes only 3 days for a local cheque for clerance.

                                        The next month I received statement on e-mail that there is a late payment fee of Rs. 450 on the card as the cheque was cleared on March 15, 2008 but the mini statement which I collected from Citibank showed that the cheque was cleared on March 08, 2008. I called up the customer care and asked for the same the CSE sd that they are taking my request for the reversal for the late fee.

                                        The next month again I received my statement on e-mail which showed that there is late payment fee of Rs. 450 of last month and finance charges also which were Rs. 950 approx.

                                        I wrote an e-mail to Barclay Bank regarding that but they replied that we can not entertain your request for the reveral of the same. I called up the customer care again and asked for the same that CSE talked to me rudely and said that "ye ho hi nahi sakta aap jhooth bol rahe hain" that you dropped cheque on March 07, 2008.

                                        I again wrote an e-mail to Barclay Bank regarding reversal of wrong charges on my card but I had not received any response till 15 days then again I wrote an e-mail to them and I received a response that we can not entertain your request for the reversal of charges.

                                        I started receiving collection calls from the bank I told the whole situation then the collection person said that your card has been blocked and he is taking my request for the reversal of charges.

                                        But after 3 months of my complaint the late fee on the card has not been reversed and the card has been blocked by Barclay Bank and I'm keep on receiving automated collection calls and the information has been forwarded to CIBIL to spoil my credit history.

                                        I very frustrated & harrassed by the Barclay Bank. I would request you to please look into the matter and resolve the matter ASAP.

                                        Now, I'm planning to file a suit in Gurgaon consumer court.

                                        Barclay Bank — Late payment fee

                                        Through Barclay bank I was told of personal loan on Credit card at 21 % but they gave the cheque at 25%. Now when I paid the bill on credit card. SInce they don't have any outlets I had to put it in the drop box. Now they charged my late fee with interest on my credit card number [protected]. This was the first time I ever had to make payment to this bank.
                                        Wrong late fee & interest debited to my A/c (am regular & old customer)

                                        defalter bank is Barclay
