[Resolved]  DishTV — A message to R.C.Venkateish reg the BAD quality of Dish TV customer service

Hi All,

VC NO: [protected]

Event 1(Oct 1): I called[protected] on Oct 1 at 4:30PM requested to reinstall my dish and got the request number 46077274. I was informed that this work will be completed within 24 Hrs.

Event2(OCt 2): I didn't get any update so I called[protected] again on Oct 2 at 4:30PM. The customer support representative wanted to confirm whether the concerned centre(Trichy) is working on Oct 2 and confirmed that it was working on that day. Again I was informed that this work will be completed within 24 Hrs.

(Oct 3): Tolerated myself.

Event 3(Oct 4): I called[protected] on Oct 4 at 11:00 AM as the line[protected] was busy. They told that they received the request 46077274 on that day(Monday) only. Again I was informed that this work will be completed within 24 Hrs.

(Oct 5): Tolerated myself.

Event 4(Oct 6):I called[protected] again on Oct 6 on at 11:00 AM and asked the customer support support executive to transfer the call to the escalation team and they put me onhold for 15 mins. I ended the call and tried again they put me onhold again for 15 mins I ended the call second time. Third time I called and talked to REMYA.S and I aksed her to transfer the call to the escaltion team but she said that all the 30 escalation team members are busy !!! and assured that this his work will be completed within 24 Hrs.

Highlights:

I got three SMS from dish TV on Oct 6 after finishing the call.

SMS1. Call details received with the new complaint number 46440039.
SMS2. Kannan from Trichy Dish TV centre will come at 6PM (Oct 6) to reinstall the dish.
SMS3. ISSUE RESOLVED!!!

Still no one has come to my home to fix this issue but I have received the message that the issue has been fixed.

DishTV - India — Charging for bad quality!

As i am the subscriber to dishtv with vc no [protected] my mobile no is [protected]

DishTV Network in India started with a lot of promise it was a undeniable success to a large extended for the following reasons:
1. Monopoly-No other Network was available other than the local cable network.
2. Lesser Investment Required- If you wanted to have a full fledged viewing, you needed at least a minimum of 4 dishes where investment cost was higher.
3. Huge demand in the Middle East Countries- There a huge demand of DishTV Boxes for Indian Expats in the middle east countries for the STB as NSS 6 signals are received here.

Even through the people have supported the DishTV in their endeavor, looking into the totality of the customer have been taken for a ride. When looking from outside it has been a house in disorder with a weak topbrass so to say. Very poor customer care policies, keeping at arms length all its customers. May be they still think that they are running an old steam engine.

Major Drawbacks of DishTV India Network
1. Pathetic Customer Service: I. Never responds to any query on the email even if you have logged in as a customer.
II. If you are lucky to get a email reply, don’t be surprised if it comes after a week.
III. Centralized operations sitting in Nodia and the poor quality of Customer Service Staff.
IV. Gets calls from only Hindi speaking Customer Care Executives when you not comfortable speaking in Hindi as it is not your mother tongue.
V. Online Credit Card Payment system never works.
VI. Transparency of you changing your viewing package not available.
VII. Major Drawbacks in the June 06’ Maxi Malayalam Package and Dec 06’ Maxi Package which cost you mush lesser with more of Hindi channels added.
VIII. No response to any account details and poor tracking to resolve issue.
IX. If you have Ordered 1 DISH TV MOD (Movie On Demand) you may be surprised to see that you would have been charged for 4 movies. You would know that only if you have viewed your statements online.
X. Most important thing is that, if a customer finds that his grievances are not resolved, they must give alternate contact details, so that the issue goes to the next level and is addressed there.

If you look into an over all picture, DISH TV India services as been very bad in terms of customer Care and this is not the view expressed by me but most of the Dish TV Customer whom I know. It is now high time that they come off age and pull up their sock under a New Dynamic CEO of ZEE Network or Tata SKY is going to score over you.

I completely agree for the complaint. Pathetic customer care, web sites and no answer for money/charges we are paying.


Since one months, we are not receiving hindi, punjabi (north Indian channels). also south indian chanels.We find in black box always "SIGNAL NOT FOUND". Once installation done no one cares for holding signals.

Dish TV is available in channel private space.


Sounds like you've had a bad time... have you received any resolution from the company?

DishTV — Pathetic service and poor signal quality

NEVER GO FOR DISH TV.

1. THEIR SIGNAL QUALITY IS VERY POOR
2. YOU DONT GET NEW CHANNELS AND CHANNELS THAT THEY GIVE YOU ARE MOSTLY FREE CHANELS AND USELESS CHANNELS.
3. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS PATHETIC. EVRYCALL TO THE CALLCENTER IS A STD CHARGED CALL (TOLL FREE NEVER WORKS). MINIMUM CALL RESPONSE TIME IS 30MIN. SO THATS A 30MIN STD CALL.
4. CAL CENTER AGENTS ARE NOT TECHNICALLY SOUND AND WILL GIVE YOU FALSE PROMISES AND GIVE COMITMENTS WHICH ARE NEVER MET.
5. EVRY SITE VISIT THEY WILL CHARGE YOU 150/- RS. SINCE SIGNAL IS VERY WEAK YOU WILL END UP CALLING TECHNICIAN EVERYMONTH.
6. TECHNICIANS DONT HAVE INSTRUMENTS TO PERFECT YOUR DISH ANGLE AND DIRECTION SO THEY WILL DO A TRIAL AND ERROR METHOD OF GETTING A BETTER SIGNAL. WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY SILLY CAUSE A SIGNAL CAN VARY DUE TO A LOT OF FACTORS (wind, electrical interfrence, wheather).
7. ALSO AFTER SERVICE THEY RESIST GIVING YOU A BILL.

IN A SINGLE SENTENCE DISHTV IS A WASTE OF YOUR MONEY, TIME, MENTAL PEACE.
Obviously you let someone that had no clue how to install. Customer service is a given. You complain too much.
Don't buy Dish TV.

this is for south indians,
Poor customer service.they don't have customer care representatives knowing the regional language..
I raised a complaint regarding poor signal in night times, after one month they called to my home(landline).she don't know english and hindi.that customer care simply cut the call.till now no solution for that.
when i tried to contact they simply give false promise like our representative will come to ur home.Am waiting for representative for past EIGHT months to get solution...

Dish TV — Worst service and negligent customer care executives

My VC no is [protected], I am facing a simple problem (few channels like sun tv, sun news, K TV, chutti TV) that video for few channels are nto at all there, but sound is very clear and audible. All other channels are very goog both in audio and video,

This few channel video missing problem had been informed to customer service thro' phone for the past 4 months regularly on weekly basis. TIll date problem remains un resolved.
Customer executives are very careless and none of them knows how to register the complaints properly.

Dish TV — Poor Sucking service

Hi Concerned,

I am DISH TV customer and most of the time it does not work. Most funniest and irritating thing is if you call to their customer care, they just tell you reboot the SetTop Box. An average person will give a call to customer care after doing all that. But they still keep asking them. Also they don't speak. If you ask for the details they will put us back to the IVR Front page, again if we give choice and go back to them same thing. Keeping customer on hold for about 20mins, poor customer will wait and then he realise after sometime he has come back to IVR Front page.

Is there any body in Zee Networks Management to address. Really tell you, your good will on other product also will loose if you introduce such things to market. I should get sharukh in my hand, he cannot do anything for money...

You should see the Bharathi Airtel Service and admire good thing from your surroundings.


No hope..still looking forward... I should be very happy if at least if you can take out that customer support... So we dont need to waste our time on this... Rebooting we can do our on...

Dish Tv has the worst service. Executives dont turn up on time to repair for weeks together despite repeated reminders. They give false reasons. They say payment is not being done. Payment is given only on completion of work and not before hand. also for the payment one has to come to the complainant.

I placed a DISH TV re-installation request on 30th May 2011 and was told that it would be installed in 24 hours. 5 days have passed and nothing has happened. Every day I call the customer care and I told that it would be installed in another 24 hours. What is going on?

This was the terrible experience of my Life. I would have never gone for the sucking company like Dish Tv, If I knew you guys will do this to me. I am certainly gonna take this to Consumer forum and the Social Media. I am the age old Customer of Your company, I am one of the first people who signed up for you when you launched the Dish TV, but what did I get from you, The Humiliation and Deception !!!...I was on call for almost 2 hours with your reps today for a problem that I am not responsible for, it is certainly something that you guys should have taken care of.

I recharged on 7/10/2012 WITH VC AS [protected] and had the signal problem, I called the in the Dish Tv and had a technician sent to me, he aligned the Dish Antenna and resolved the trouble...they charged me 340 rupees for that, that was just terrible, but as my issue was resolved, I bore that !!! . Now it was going nice for few days...Suddenly I saw the Prompt on TV saying "Recharge your account to avail the services"...My Due date for the next recharge is 11/6/2012 and as of 17th Oct, I am seeing this prompt...I can just see this prompt on TV and nothing else, ...I tried to go to settings but nothing worked with this stupid Prompt on TV...I called in Dish TV and the hell started!!!

I told them about the problem, they said to press the buttons, this and that...no one, absolutely no one understood what I was saying. I kept saying the Prompt on TV is not letting me do anything...I was told to power off hundreds of times and I did that like a mad!!!...The customer service is so sucking, I have never seen such a negligence from the cust service rep...what shall I say about the rep, when their supervisor was so stupid and fool...No one was ready to help me...I checked everything before I called, the LNB, the cable, the STB and the signal...everything was just fine...suddenly just this hell happened on TV...They refreshed the things which never helped, I called 4 times and on 4th call when no rep helped, I was transfered to supervisor who was worse then the reps...I asked for the manager, he instead transfered me to the senior ...THEY ALL TRIED TO THROUGH THE BALL IN MY COURT AND SAID, EVERYTHING IS FINE HERE AND THIS IS THE PROBLEM FROM MY SIDE, I SAID I HAVE CHECKED AND IT IS ALL GOOD HERE, THIS JUST HAPPENED SUDDENLY, BUT NO ONE UNDERSTOOD...!!!

The supervisor Ankit kept telling me do this and that, knowing that I had done that dozens of times...He was just a !!!...He said it is fine here and we cant do anything for you...when they couldnt see what the problem was, they tried to blame me and said this is the Signal problem, thinking that I dont understand anything...Was I a Fool ????????...I will tell you what your worth is!!!

It is evident that when there is signal problem, you cant see anything but " Signal Not Found"...but that was not the case, they prompted me of the recharge which I had done...Non One Couldn't trace the actual problem...They were all Killers...I was told about the customer service of this company, but I still went for your subscription like a mad, as if there was nothing in the world other than Dish Tv.!!!.
They finally said, since you are not able to pull up the menu ( which no one in the world could, because of that hell Prompt)...we will have to send you the technician...BUT THEY ADDED, "YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR IT"...HOW IN THE WORLD SHALL I PAY FOR IT ????????????

I EXPLAINED THE ISSUE ABOVE, HOW CAN ONE THINK THIS IS MY FAULT...THIS WAS CERTAINLY SOME SYSTEM ISSUE FROM YOU OR YOUR MISTAKE, HOW CAN I BE TOLD TO PAY FOR THIS...!!!

I BEGGED TO THEM, I said I have already paid 270 for the recharge and 340 to the technician, I can't afford the other money...I requested to send this technician for free...No one helped...and they transfered me to some manager namely "HONEY"...he was the Big Insult of my life...He probably realized that I was a kashmiri and he denied the help in the first place !!!...HE DISCRIMINATED !!!...i CAN'T BELIEVE THE MULTI-BILLION GIANT LIKE DISH TV CAN DO SUCH NARROW MINDEDNESS...!!!
I CAN'T TAKE THIS, THAT THE COMPANY LIKE YOU HAVE SUCH LOW EDUCATED AND DISCRIMINATING PEOPLE...IF THAT WAS THE CASE, IF YOU SO HATE THE KASMIRIS, WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME THAT WHEN I SIGNED UP FOR YOU... I AM A HUMAN AND WANTED THE SERVICE THAT I AM PAYING FOR...AND SOME RESPECT...

DONT YOU GUYS KNOW ABOUT THE BUSINESS ETHICS ???

I am also facing cheating and extortion by Dish TV technicians

Event 1 – One horizontal signal strength being low resulting into fragmented picture on HD channels

Event 2 – Dish TV technician visits

1) Claimed that camera in Dish has gone bad and needs to be replace - Cost 750/= (camera in a dish!)
2) Later claimed that entire dish needs to be replaced - Cost 730/= (Metal parts going bad...not rusted)
3) Now claims that setup box has gone bad ( that's ingenious!)

Event 3 – New technician visits, replaces LNB and charges Rs. 650

1) It was clearly dish alignment problem which resulted into one horizontal signal strength getting reduced. Also we were experiencing fragmented picture intermittently.
2) Yesterday earlier technical had replaced LNB but that did not resolve the problem. He showed the old LNB to my wife. After your technician left all HD channels stopped working.
3) Today technician brought a faulty LNB which did not match as looked yesterday.

Event 4 – same day, once again horizontal signal strength has become low. HD Channels have stopped. On phone technician claims that you need to replace set top box

Dear Sir,
I am one of your consumer since last 4 years. But it is very sorry to say that last 7 month I found the new businesses way to earn money.It is happen with me 4-5 time.Today I face again the same problem.The time of the box automatically change and when I talk to your customer service they told that "your dish was dislocated". Kindly told me how is this possible.If it is possible than your fixing arrangement is poor quality. Every time your technician came and do nothing, but take service charge.Is this the new way to earn money from customer.I do not know that are you response my feedback or not. But I am really disappointed of your service.

Very disappointed with the services given by Dish TV every 6 months the setup box need to be changed customer care executive are not trained they keep on Repeating the words, they don't even listen to the customer.
The warranty of Dish TV HD plus has expired on 9th October which was only for 6 months and from 12th October the setup box started giving a problem.
This time I am not going to pay single rupee for replacing setup box if you are going to give me a replacement it is fine or else I will change the operator

My Vc no is [protected] and my Dish TV is deactivated from last day due to address confirmation problem even i did not received any kind of call. Even though i have given my address proof document to the person who came to install the DISH TV. It mean it is starting of problem and your company will give me the more tension in future that's why i want to disconnect your connection please re-fund my money.
