    Hi,

    It has been very much disastrous!
    A request was given on 12th of February 2011 to relocate Dish TV antina and a service engineer name Bunty from an associate of Dish TV SD SERVICES GURGAON, came on 21st Feb 2011 and took waway the set top box with the remote, after a lot of follow ups, call and complains on regular basis a new engineer from SD SERVICES GURGAON, turned up and gave another set top box on 2nd March 2011 which is still not working, as per customer care executive the card / vc no does not match with the set top box.

    Entire rental is gone in waist and there is no one to take care, I think there is no after sales service and commitment from Dish TV and the services are very pathetic. I would request consumer court to take immediate action on Dish TV.

      I have a dish TV HD connection and a technician came and changed the mono LNB for the number of channels to be increased, but nothing has changed and i still do not get the HD channels.
      I have logged a compliant with Dishtv (ref No 54322112, 54512333,[protected] on 17th, 21st & 28th Feb respectively and it’s been over 15days with no resolution.
      Every day a new person calls and ask about the complaint but no one comes and rectifies it, it is getting frustrating but Dishtv is not bothered about it cauz they have got their money and care a damn about the customer.
      Pratul, Shivaji and a few associates from the Pune Kharadi office have called and said they will send someone but no one ever came, Vikas Nawgare is the Technician who calls and says i will come tomorrow but his tomorrow never comes.
      Please can we take some action aginst Dishtv so that other dont face this after paying good amount for hopeless service. They are cheating their customers, new connection is done in a day but once you take it your trapped cauz there is no service
      This is most unprofessional company i have seen, if you cannot provide services then pls don’t. I am more than happy to shut my connection with dish and move to another provider if they refund my money.

        These are all FAKE offers from Dish TV, I too got free Dish HD Box free with my Samsung LED TV. They made me pay 750 Rupees just for the activation and installation.

        Here is the catch.. All the so called HD Channels are Upscaled Channels. I agree to the comment posted before in this thread. Madhuri Looks liks Tun Tun... even on a so called HD Channel !!!

        Only channels which are True HD are -

        1) Movies NOW
        2) Discovery HD World
        3) Nat Geo HD
        4) Star Cricket HD
        5) DD HD - Always Blank Screen.

        All the other channels are UPSCALED channels which they call HD. Rediculous, wonder Shahrukh knows about this, this proper Fraud from DISH TV.

        I think this is why there are no advertisements on TV about 30 channels being HD and Blah Blah.

        Another thing how people like me will get stuck with Dish TV now.

        HD Starter Pack - 125 Rupees.
        This includes Discovery HD World and NatGeo HD. Along with few other upscaled Channels.

        HD A La Carte Pack - 100 Rupees
        This includes MOVIES NOW. along with few other Blah blah upscaled channels.

        World Cup HD Pack - 150 Rupees
        This included STAR CRICKET- which means world cup in HD. Watching World cup on this is great experience as there are NO ADVERTISEMENTS and its a amazing experience to watch cricket on this.

        so in the end you pay ->>> 125+100+150+325 (Normal Platinum pack) = 700 Rupees PER MONTH

        Agree with another comment, you need iron balls to pay 450 for 4 HD Channels of your choice. All channels of your choice are in different packs. They are making customers fools.

        DO NOT GO IN FOR THIS!!! It's SHAM!!! Most of those 30 channels are upscaled, there's no conceievalbe differnce between the regulars and the HDs. Only Discovery HD World, Nat Geo HD and Movies Now are actually HD. Besides, THEY DONT PROVIDE 5.1 DOLBY AUDIO. THEY JUST PROVIDE STEREO AUDIO EVEN FOR THE HD CHANNELS. I switched from Tata Sky HD to Dish TV HD for more channels, but I feel like I've been swindled. Even the website is quite misleading. I had to read it CAREFULLY to see that they were offering "THEATER QUALITY STEREOPHONIC SOUND" which to me is meaningless!!! Overall it's a sham company with a sham product that just fleeces customers by putting up misleading fine-prints... TATA SKY ROCKS!!!

          I have made my complain on 29/01/2011 with complain no 53676754 regarding repairing of STB box and it was changed by dish TV but faulty STB box has been provided, then once again i have made complain for same with complain no 54372815 on 18/02/2011,then they had changed my STB box but once again faulty STB provided for which i have made complain again on with complain no 54832991 on 27/02/11,but once again they have provided me faulty STB now i have lodge one more complain with complain no 54929199 on 28/02/2011.
          When i have asked for senior person they simply refused to provide contact no of any senior person no, you are requested please provide me some solution

            We are using DISH TV, Our set up box got problem we took to local distributor. He spent almost 2 days and said has to replace in Kurnool. If you want urgent you have to go personally, all the way i went to kurnool service center. He tooks 2 Hrs time to say that it won't be repair. He come up one more option that, you meet up Distributor he will give you new set up box.

            For that i have waited couple of hours, finally i got the device. It was happen on 24th Feb, till now ( 26th evening ) it has not activated. I spent almost 100 Rs. only for calling them.

            I don't know how long it will take.

              Dear Sir,

              I am a resident of Mohali - add - HM-243, Phase-2, Mohali. I Got Dishtv DTH connection two years back,vide VC No. [protected] ,it started giving problem after one year( Few Channels video was disturbed). The same is reported to customer care chandigarh at chandigarh. on dated[protected]. But no one from responded. I made uncounted calls but finnaly one person visited at my residence on[protected],and charged Rs. 150/-.as visting charges for just to check the complaint but done nothing.

              Again I called no.of times at their Noida Ho as well as at Mohali Office.. But nothing has happened .

              Finnaly I broght new connection with new Set up box. on dated 17-2011 vide VC no.[protected]. After installation it worked well for two days and then all paid chennels were disappeared and I come to know that it was required to be activated.

              I called up to every one at Mohali office, but since 4 days have been passed ,it is not made operational inspite of my repeated requests to their officials ( Mr. Rakesh )

              May I request for the suitable action on dishtv. w.r t. the poor service.

              If nothing will happen then I have to report all to Consumer forum to for getting the justice.

              But my request to you to get into this and do the needfull action. My old sset up box is also taken by Mohali office.I have also requested them to return but they are not responding at all.

                Hello Sir,

                I purchased the dish TV few days ago with the Samsung offer. I placed order on saturday (19' feb) . People from Dish TV installed the device and told me it will be activated in 24 hrs and left with 700/-. Till today it is not activated. People who came to install told that the box was faulty (after 2 days) and just came once when I was not at home and the call centre people say they dont have my information.

                  Today I have received one sms from Dish TV at 12.14.24 pm (Indian time) stated "They have not received my payment". As per package, my recharge is due on 29th of every month. As this is february this may be 28th february or 1st march.

                  Today 23rd Feb. I hope they can not send sms stating that " you have not received my payment" before due date, which contains wrong information. They can send sms menioning my due date.

                  Everytime, they are doing some problem. Earlier in one month I have requested them to activate color ala pack. But some how there was acivaion o[censored]TV ala pack from starting, which was done by disribuotor. I was not aware about that. When I came to know that along with color ala pack, UTV ala pack is also activated, I called to their cusomer service requesing to deactivate UTV pack. Their cusomer care representative told me that they are noting down my request & they same will be processed. Again after some days when I called, their customer representative told the same things. Again they gave me some request no. After some day when I saw the same is not deacivated till now, again I called cusomer care. At this time they told that, they same cane no be deacivated before one month.

                  Please see how cusomer is getting suffered due to oher's mistake & dish TV is not bohered about this.

                    I bought a Samsung LED TV on 5th Feb 2011 at Reliance Digital. I was given a DishTV Hd connection coupon with voucher no[protected] on 12th Feb 2011. Instead of giving the voucher with the TV, they took a week to do that. Initially they made me believe that DishTv will install in the week that was taken to give the voucher. Then I called DishTv to register for the installation. I was given a complaint no 54260518. Till this date the installation hasn't been completed by DishTv. After vexed up with the calling [protected] number for 5 days started writing email to [protected]@dishtv.in . The response was prompt. They assured me installing in 24 hours time nothing happened in 96 hours. I went on communicating each day, they initially apologized and promised in the next 24 hours for the first 3 days. In the last 24 hours, there is no call but promise to install soon. What I realize is that they have no serious commitment. Samsung was informed of the problem with DishTv. The response is that they escalated it to higher ups in the company. But, they are also not having any commitment.

                    Dish TV — FRAUD BY DISHTV VERY BAD RESPONSE TOO

                    DEAR CONSUMERS

                    DISHTV MADE AN ERRONEOUS REFUND OF MY SUBSCRIPTION AND DEBITED MY ACCOUNT AS DOUBLE ENTRY, BUT THE PRETENTIOUS REFUND DOESNT CAME INTO MY CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT WHEREAS THEY REFUSED TO REVERSE THE DEBIT IN MY ACCOUNT ALSO, AS A RESULT I WAS FORCED TO RENEW MY SUBSCRIPTION BY PAYING THE DEBIT BALANCE ALSO WHICH I DIDNT DO, SO CONCLUSIVELY I COULDNT RENEW MY SUBSCRIPTION AND SUSPENDED THE TV PROGRAMMES FOR MORE THAN A MONTH, THIS MONTH DELAY IS BECAUSE OF VERY VERY POOR CUSTOMER SUPPORT THAT DISHTV HAS, DEAR ALL CONSUMERS I REALISED ITS BETTER TO PAY BY CASH RATHER CR CARD THIS IS THE SOLUTION FROM MY SIDE AND DISHTV NEVER PROVIDED ME SOLUTION

                    I had an exactly same experience as Carzzz12.

                    This seems to be scandal. Not sure why a company like Samsung is tying up with a shoddy service such as Dish TV.

                    I too bought 40 inch Samsung LED TV from Devi Electronics on 28/02/2011 in Bangalore
                    and was given a Dish TV HD voucher. Called up their customer care and they told the
                    installation will be done in few days. Nobody turned up till now. Their service center
                    representative (Ravi:[protected] called me once saying he will send a technician but
                    no one showed up. Now he does not bother to pick my calls and mails to customer care did not help.

                    I seriously think this is a scam and just a ploy to sell more Samsung TVs.
                    same experience I too bought 32 inch Samsung LED TV on 15/3/2011 in bellary and was given a Dish TV HD voucher after 2 days, Initially they made me believe that DishTv will install in the week.some technitions called and told he will come and install in half an hour on 18/3/2011, and i must pay 800rs for the connection .i told ok but till now now response. Then I called DishTv to register for the installation. I was given a complaint no 55943870. Till this date the installation hasn't been completed by DishTv. They assured me installing in 24 hours to 36 hours. I went on communicating each day, they initially apologized and promised in the next 24 hours for the first 3 days. In the last 24 hours, there is no call but promise to install soon. What I realize is that they have no serious commitment.worst service and response for new costumers, then what about old costumers god only knows about their complaints, very bad response donot buy dish hd go for tata sky or airtel
                    I had also the same experience. I purchased Samsung LCD TV and no response from Dish TV- I have called many times at the call centre but no response only false commitments. This seems to be a scam. Ideally we should go to consumer court to expose these people

                    Dish TV — Non Activation of DISH TV Connection availed through Samsung Offer

                    Dear Sir,


                    I am in an unfortunate position to share my woes about DISH TV, who have put me through a huge ordeal for the past fortnight or more. I recently happened to buy a SAMSUNG TV and receive a DISH TV connection along with it and all my attempts to get it activated has just gone waste. Their distributor SHIVA ENTERPRISES, Bangalore promptly came to my house , installed the hardware and taken a sum of Rs. 750 /- from me for the same as early as 6th April , 2011. Since then I have been following up in vain to get this connection activated. I have called with reference to the same complaint number 57214697, day after day, at least 5-10 times now, each time having to hear the same response that "Our technical team will contact you and resolve this in the next 24 hours" . I have forwarded all my documents that were asked for on 13th April , 2011 and I'm forwarding you the same as well.


                    Unfortunately, my patience has run out and I'm seeking your help now to get this resolved. I am contemplating taking legal action on DISH TV if this does not get resolved as this clearly amounts to cheating as well as denial of service. Please let me know the procedure to do the same as I am determined to fight this out. For your reference, my VC number is [protected] and my complaint number is 57214697.

                    I'm also a cheated by DISH TV the same way and still waiting for the DTH HD service to be activated from past 3 weeks.I have wasted lot of time calling the DISH TV customer care and got false promises.

                    Dish TV — Non activation of hd connection

                    I had taken a hd connection on 28/8/12.vc no being[protected].I was not getting all the channels.I had lodged a complaint through customer care but it was not rectified.from 4/9/12 I am not getting any hd channels. I logged a complaint through costumer care complaint no being71565091.but no action has been taken.

                      Rechrge of Rs.150/- was done by us of dish tv on 16th Feb 2011. After several complaints to dish tv there is no activation done by dish tv on 20th Feb 2011 at 16:42 hrs.

                      Every time we are getting different answers from different operator. The customer asking us and bother time to time.

                      If customer face such type of problems again and again then what is the meaning of INDIA'S NO 1 DISH TV PROVIDER. Only logo never works to market the product.

                      I requesting to your honour pls solve the problem at the earliest.

                      We have minimum 35 tele contacts of dish tv provided by dish tv. Also a thinkable part is, Recharge of Rs.150/- and complaint expense is near about Rs. 350/-.

                        No signal is received to set top box from dish for all pay channels eg. zee, sony, starplus, zee marathi, etv marathi etc. Error code no is 301. But all DD free channels are working well. some etc regional channels are also working. No service is abailable to our village from Shopkeeper from Narayangaon (PUNE) from where we have buy the DTH Dish. It is not working from 7th feb. 2011. Also no any responce from DishTV Email or SMS Serveice. Please solve our problem.

                          1. In july 10, i purchased thru online booking a dish tv connection with following details-dish tv VC NO [protected] STB NO DST[protected]
                          Immediately after installation i lodged a complaint about defective set top box resulting in 1.delayed response time in switch over of channel which takes more than 8-9 secs and poor range of remote control which does not work beyond 6 ft and only in straight line /right angle to stp. No one has attended the complaint and it remains unresolved even after 8 month despite several reminders.


                          2. In Jan 2011 i lodged a complaint about not receiving signal ,and requested the customer care to send a person to look into the problem . subsequently after 3 days the signal resumed but there was no sound. This was informed to customer care who promised to send mechanic to attend the problem but did not send any. The problem of sound contuing for over a month and despite of many reminders ,it has not been attended by the company though they have confirmed that it was due to defective set top box.

                          Dish TV — Faulty Set Top Box

                          I got a Dish TV connection on 15th of feb 08 (Maxi with 1 year subscription). All channels could not be viewed as the set top box was faulty. After repeated complaints technician came on the 29th of March and found out that the set top box provided was faulty. It was taken for repairs with a promise that it would be delivered on 31st. Till date we haven't recieved it, despite repeated calls to the call center and the local agent. The call executive executives as well as the local agent were very ill-equipped to resolve the issue. I m quoting a few complaint no.s taken while calling the call centre12241904, 12319946, 12383825.

                          Dish TV — Set Top Box fault

                          A set top box which I bought about a year back has stopped working. I have been trying unsuccessfully to call the customer care and lodge a complaint - as the phone (the only toll free number that is available) keeps on saying "Please wait." I have waited unsuccessfully upto 30 minutes on several occassions and yet unable to reach any customer care officer to lodge the complaint. This is the worst possible product that is in the Indian market.
                          Request all to keep off DIsh TV. They have extremely poor customer services .
                          I am native of punalur ,i can't see any channels on the Dish TV, which i purchased recently. I announced it to the retailer and the distributer of Dish TV punalur. They send technitions, they failed to solve the trouble,so they sujjested me to make a complaint on the website. Kindly accept my request an solve the trouble...
                          I have also same complaints about faulty set top box. jal

                            I had requested multiple times spoken with almost 10-15 customer care ppl and their supervisors but this complaint is never getting solved. Every time they say that it will get resolved within 2 hours and it wont work though.

                            Complaint: I had asked them to activate DishTV La Carte pack for Discovery Sci and Discovery Turbo in my cashback offer. But complaint is not getting resolved as mentioned.

                            DishTV — TO ACTIVATE THE DISH TV

                            I have paid my subscription Rs. 1800 through drop box at Bangalore. Dish TV has en cashed my cheque on 15-10-08 and till then they have not activated the service. The operators are not responding properly. My VC number is[protected]. I request the other customers be alert while paying the subscription.
                            Dishtv.in is not working for more than past 8 days now, I called up customercare service and the response was pathetic, no my VC is been deactivated for non payment, why should a customer suffer when you have problem in your service media.

                            dear sir / madam,
                            i have purchased dish tv from your store on feb month 2009 at north usmon road t nagar branch.dealer of dish tv from your store (mr.muthu raj) charged extra money to activate the dish tv but till now he didn't activated.we enquired dish tv customer care personal too they said dealer haven't send them activation request till now.i have called mr muthu raj many times from dubai he is not responding properly & sometimes he is not picking up the phone.i am truly saying you totally disappointed from your servises.try to tell him to activate the dish tv.activation no:[protected].

But it is regret to inform that I am not able to view Marathi channel of IBN Lokmat out of other Marathi channels under Gold Pack. Awaiting necessary action in this regard immediately.

                                I Barjinder Singh puchased Silver pack the number of channels they prvided me the time of recharge now after one month they have changed the plan they reduced the channels and this is second time.

                                Dish TV — Reduction of channels

                                From DISH TV I took the 1 year maxi package which is valid for another six months. I have recd 2 sms from Dish TV informing that CNBC, Zoom and Times Now are withdrawn from this package and that they will be available on payment of Rs 25and Rs 25 each from 1.2.09.
                                I hope you realise that this unilateral alteration of service conditions is patently illegal and would request you to restore the original conditions of the service. Coming from legal community, my experience is that companies do these kind of things thinking that it is too cumbersome for the individuals to legally oppose such malafide alterations. I hope your company is diferent and would listen to the feedback from it's customers and restore the original conditions. I have already registered my protest twice on your call centers, including one today when i spoke to an agent and then to the supervisor who gave me his name as Rahul.

                                i have a dishtv .i recharge rs 1854 on 25/12/08 nd dish tv tell that rs 100 will be discounted frm your next recharge bcoz that time a scheme is available .you get rs 100 on 1800 nd 200 on 3600 .but dish tv not deposit 100 rs in my account .pls take action my v.c. no [protected]
                                In the begning DishTv was cheap and good quality now as it is growing up Signal problem is increasing day by day.

                                  this is second time i'm giving complaint against this service provider(Dish TV DTH Service).my existing package is South Silver cricket. according to their new package system they are supposed to provide the channel in which any match of india is telecasted. i even gave a complaint to their phone in service but no solution till now.i dont understand why do they give such packages if they cant give good service to the people. earlier people could say that TV is an iddiot box.now we are forced to say that Dish tv set top box is an iddiot box.plz do something about it ....my VC number is [protected]

                                  my Viewing card id no. is [protected].i was using the south gold. last time when i made the recharge i asked their customer care people to downgrade my package to south silver cricket. but they downgraded to south silver saver. for downgrading the package i had to pay extra Rs.40. when i made the complaint they assured me that they will solve it. and this is second time i'm experiencing their poor service.till now it's the same. what i want is that the companies should not cheat the customers in any way. so i earnestly request you please do something about it.

                                    Hi,

                                    I, Fahimuddin Sayed, had placed an order for 2 connections of Dishtv via Recahrgeitnow.com, a vendor of Dish TV. The transaction took place online on 31st Dec 2010 at 8:06 pm where I paid Rs.1380/- to them and the order id was R[protected] and token no. 1915660. The delivery for the 2 connections was to be made on 6th Jan 2011. But it was not delivered even by mid Jan. On mailing Rechargeitnow.com, I was advised to get in touch with Dish TV directly. I called Dish TV and cancelled the order and asked for a refund but nothing seems to be happening. I have mailed them more than twice and also spoken over phone time and again but no actoin is being taken.

                                    I request help on the matter as I feel helpless and cheated by the company.

                                      1. That, I, Sanjay Chandrabhan Wagh, s/o Shri Chandrabhan Dagduji Wagh, age 46 years R/o Quarter No P – 310/04, Jadunath Enclave, (Near Old Water Tank), PO – Bhatinda Cantt (Punjab) 151 004, state on oath as under.

                                      2. That, I am a serving soldier and presently posted with Headquarters 5 Mountain Division, c/o99 APO (Far border areas in Eastern Provinces). I have been posted to this Headquarters from a Highly Active Field Area in Jammu & Kashmir..

                                      3. That, I have purchased DISH TV Antena, LMB and some 10 meter wire from M/s Bhasin Electronics, Tenga Vally (Arunachal Pradesh) who is authorized dealer for DISH TV India Ltd, on 12 September 2010. The dealer has demanded Rs 1,060/- (Rupees one thousand and sixty only) for the aforesaid three articles (Copy of the cash receipt attached). However, when I saw the advertisement of DISH TV that the entire kit and installation charges of DISH TV set is Rs 999/- (Which includes DISH TV Antena, DISH TV Set Box, DISH TV Remote device and connecting wire measuring approximately 20 meter). When approached the dealer, on the very next day, he refused to give me any set box/remote and rather threatened me to leave his shop and do whatever I can (It is also pertinent to mention here that this dealer is extracting Rs 30/- to 50/- for every recharges from we soldiers, every time).

                                      4. Simultaneously, I have narrated the incidence through e-mails to the Customer Care DISH TV Ltd ([protected]@dishtv.in, [protected]@dishtv.in, [protected]@ dishtv.in), DISH TV Ltd Escalation Department ([protected]@d ishtv.in), DISH TV Legal Dept ([protected]@dishtv.in). I have written as much as 30 – 35 mails to all these addresses since last four months or so (the record is available with me with their anfractuous replies). However, despite resolving the issue the DISH TV peoples (naming Mrs Jyoti Sharma, Mr Nikhil Maheshwari, Mr Sundaram Triyar and Anil Kataria in Customer Care Dept) (some Mrs Supriya in escalation Dept) and (Mrs Sunayana of Legal Dept) asked me to go to the dealer and collect Rs 135/- from him.

                                      5. Sir, I am poor army soldier and have already incurred a heavy expenditure as tabulated below to process the issue for amicable resolution with the DISH TV Ltd. In view of the foregoing you are earnestly requested to provide me the following amicable compensations at the earliest :-

                                        DishTV very worst service and Customer Care
                                        Dear Sir/ Madam,

                                        I’m Dr. SR Nagpal Resident of HM-243, Phase-2, Mohali- Punjab. I purchased DishTV connection of last year. Since last six months I’m continuously facing “Inconsistant and poor quality of vedio on All Zee and SONY channels, Audio is also very disturbing” problem apart from this problem I’m also in problem of their customer care services of such a reputed group. Whenever I call at[protected] at Chandigarh, after about 7 days countinuos dialling I got my call thro.After loddging my complaint last week on dated[protected] Representative came to my residence and told me to first pay Rs. 150/- then only he will see the problem. Which I paid and after 10 mts he told u talk to our Noida office, it will be taken care by them. Now countinusly I am calling to Noida office by making STD calls. but all the times I anm gettig reply that out systems are not working and we are helpless. Mr. Dheeralj at Customer Care Noida ussaly attending the phone and he says , sorry Mr. Nagpal we can not serve you in your city.He he does know how to talk with the customers.After wasting STD calls even I am not able to get any response ,even I have to hold and wait for more than 10 minutes.

                                        Finally I get the answer that u SMS from ur register Mobile No. I done the same but I got reply that sorry this is invalid no. If this is an in valid no. then how I am getting alerts from Dishtv on daily basis on the same no.

                                        I failed to understand, it is just making fool to customers.

                                        Being a high hope I am forwarding this mail and hope to get the justice and requesting strict action against the Dish tv Customer Care and thier worst Service and response to the customer.
