[Resolved] DTDC — loss of part of consignment | |
dear sir, i had sent 4 ladies tops (chikan work) to lucknow thruogh DTDC courier services at purbachal, salt lake, near 13 no. tank on 9th december, 2007, whose consignment number happens to be K26010024. the consignment dispatched was checked by your agent and infact was sealed by him after verification.after sealing it was also inscribed by us on the envelope - CONTAINING 4 LADIES TOPS. the consignment reached the consignee on 12th december 2007, however, 1 of the tops value of which was rs.475 was not received by the consignee. on the advice of the agent a written complaint was lodged with the concerned dealer at salt lake with copies to Branch Manager, airport and your regional office at raghunathpur.however, the complaint was not redressed. to pursue the matter further copy of the said complaint was sent by DTDC courier to your regional office on 2nd february,2008 vide consignment number K26741626. telephonic conversation to the regional office for early redressal has also been futile. i would request you to take the matter earnestly at an early date. yours faithfullt, rajesh srivastava K-14, Cluster-9, Purbachal, Salt Lake, Kolkata 700097 mobile no-[protected]/[protected] Was this information helpful? | |

I had sent a consignement to Ahmedabad on 16th Sept 2008 from DTDC, Lake gardens branch, it contained 1 pure leather wallet, a pen and aleather belt, only the belt had reached my friends place on 18th Sept 08, all other gifts worth 250 Rs are missing, so there is a foul play here .

[protected]@consumercourt.in I have to say that as a decision taker I initiated the regular business with your courier service since more than one year. I regret inform you that I have sent a parcel containing Rakhi, Card and a Packet of dry fruits from Ahmedabad to Mumbai using the elite service of DTDC. The parcel was sent on 1/8/09 (Consignment number: A[protected]. It was received on 3/8/09. But a packet of dry fruits (Containing 500grams) was missing from the parcel . And Instead of dry fruits some body from your company put penult. On calling the customer care number, they just keep transferring the call from one point to another.
Is there any solution to this. The authorities at DTDC are not at all bothered for the security of customer's items. This is like stealing the items we entrust them with. Please provide justice to my complain. The cost of the dry fruits was Rs 250/- and courier charges is Rs. 100.
I further say that this is not only case of stealing dry fruits and I am not making my claim limiting to the cost of dry fruits and charges. This is a once in a year parcel by one sister to her brother with lots of hope and wishes. When it comes to know regarding this mal practices, it makes mockery amongst the relations. I just have to inform you that I am belonging to the family of Lawyers. And I will not preferred any consumer complain if my issue will be solved amicably from your side. But at the same time, I promise you that I will not look after the cost of my consumer complain as it become the matter of rights. Hence kindly reimburse the amount of Rs. 250 by way of the demand draft on above mentioned address payable at Ahmedabad.
