[Resolved]  Godrej Refrigerator — Cooling Problem

I bought my Godrej refreigrator Eon 240 litres around 2 years back. Everything went well for 2 years. Now it started giving me the cooling problem.

I reported the complaint at Godrej Service center in Bangalore on 17th April viz complaint no. [protected]. Service Engineer came to my house and after lots of troubleshooting and 2 hours of diaognising, he came to conclusion that compressor is faulty. He told me that compressor is under warranty and you need to pay for change in Gas and service charge for which net amount apid by you will be around 1300. Service Engineer told me that Compressor does the cooling for 2 mins and stays switched off for 1 mins which is not the normal behaviour. Hence please go ahead with chnaging of the compressor. I said go ahead and repair the refrigerator. There was no response from Godrej and after 3 days I recieved a message that your problem is resolved and complaint is closed.

I raised another complaint to Godrej Service center for not doing cooling by refrigerator on 22nd April with complaint no. [protected]. After calling them several times and persuading them, they came to my house to change the compressor. Compressor was changed on 25th April which took 4 hours with gas filling and everything. Service Engineer demaded Rs.1250 which I paid him. He told that now ice will be made in refrigerator and temprature can go below 0. To my surprise next day I was unable to see any ice in my refrigarator. I called the service Engineer on 26th April and did not got any response from him. Even they went ahead and closed my complaint.

I raised third complaint for my same problem on 25th of April with complaint no. [protected]. Service provider people at HAL didn't bothered to pick up my call even after 100's of trial onto number which I had as [protected] and another mobile number as [protected]. I called them on saturday 28th April aroun 20 times and they informed me that we are busy in meeting and would be sending person in evening. Even in evening they did not responded to my call. After several attempts they told me that executive would be visiting me on Sunday morning. On sunday they did not even attended my call. After so many attempts they said that we'll come on 7th of May. Even 7th May they did not turned out. I called them back on 8th May and did not got any response. On 9th May they said that we'll come but never turned out till evening. On 10th May they came to my house and asked to empty the refrigerator and said that problem is with the freezer. Then he rechecked and after 3 hrs of diagnosis, he came to conclusion that the NEW COMPRESSOR which they replaced is faulty one. I am really fed of these Godrej Service Center people.

Then again they said that we are going to come tomorrow with the new compressor and replace it. I asked then to collect my refrigerator and rectify the problem in it and deliver it back to me. It is none of by business how do you guys fix it.

Now they have to come to my house to collect the refrigerator and I hope they turn out tomorrow. My vegetables and fruits worth Rs.1000 are spoiled due to refrigerator. Even daily the milk is getting spoiled as its Summer in Bangalore. I am really fedup with these Service Center guys.

I would suggest everybody never buy the Godrej refrigerator as they provide the worst service in the world. I am very much disssatified with their service.

Myself Biswa Narayan Rout, Berhampur, Orissa have bought a Godrej double door refrigerator in 2008.In June 2010 first time i faced the problem regarding the cooling of my refrigerator.I gave complain at the service center Berhampur. They took my refrigerator and returned me after about 20days after repairing and i paid Rs 1180/- for the service (vide invoice no-254/20.07.10). Again after 15 days i faced the same probem and i again contacted the service center and they took it and returned after about 15days.It was working smoothly upto April 2011.Again i felt in 10.04.11 that the cooling level was less and i gave complained. They took my refrigerator and returned after 20days.I have already spent over Rs1000/- towards transportation charges of my refrigerator.

I am very sorry to say that my refrigerator is showing the same problem regarding cooling since june6. I have already given a complain at the service ceter over telephone on june7.But till this evening they have not sent anybody to check it.As i have already spent over Rs 1000/- towards transportation, this time i am not going to pay the same.

So i request you to take necessary immididiate steps to resolve the problem .

i have a godrej double door fridge, the performance of the fridge is very very poor. There was a cooling problem, I had complaint about it to the company's service centre. The mechanic came and replaced three or four parts and taken Rs. 2500/00 in the month of March 2011. But the problem not solved.Again I complained to the service centre, mechanic came and told that it is working properly, but i am not satisfied. Again I lodge a comlaint on07/05/2011 vide complaint no.159648, mechanic came and replace fan blade and takenRs.350/00. But the problem still remains.Again i lodged complaint no.171440 on 20/05/2011, mechanic came and told that we had to fill gas then only your fridge will work properly, you have to pay visiting charges and gas charges, but i had refused to pay the visiting charges, they had closed my complaint.again and again they demanded visiting charges.At last I complained today on 25/06/2011 vide complaint no 198610 and agree to pay gas charges. I have purchase refrigeration in 2009 pentacool, this month we have faced problem and given compliant they are replaced timer, on 13th June, again we face same problem they repaired on 17th of june, on 24th we faced total unit come for fire immediately DP switch, Stabilizer & KEB meter burned we given a complaint still not rectified

CHANGE OF PARTS OF GODREJ EON FROST FREE REFRIGERATOR
I made a complaint on customer care no: [protected] with regard to change of pink colored plastic shelves which I was told were unbreakable at the time of exchange of the defective fridge in the consumer court.The customer care person told me that I have to pay Rs. 150 as service charges than someone from customer care would come and change the parts.Unfortunately I received a call from service centre informing me that he will charge Rs. 350. When I called up the customer care service again I was told that the earlier customer care person intimated me the wrong amount. I am surprised on top of that the service center person asked for the csn no which I did not give him.There is still confusion what charges needs to be taken from the customer for change of parts that were supposedly unbreakable...My complaint no being Godrej complaint 837132

I have Godrej Refrigerator (Model: GDP-195 TV5.).

There was cooling problem in my fridge. The first complaint which I made to Godrej Service Centre (Toll Free No. [protected] ) was on 25/06/2011 . Since then I am struggling to resolve this problem.

Technitions says I have to changed my Compressor . But still now (18/07/2011 ) they seys that we have no compressor as godrej company did not supply properly .. that's why customer [censored]ing problem very much.

So , I want to know why customer [censored]ing problem for a long time.

I brought Godrej fridge from Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh. It worked for 5 months after that it stoped working.
I made a complaint. A person from Sri Santhi Refrigerator Service Centre, Palakonda, Srikakulam District. and checked it. Problem not solved. He visited once again and said some parts has to be changed with our own cost. we agreed. When I made a call to him he started saying I will come on Monday. But he will not come. The fridge was in Warranty period, I think he will come after warranty period. Finally I decided to go to Consumer court. So, dear friends dont wait for customer service... just go for Consumer court...
we cannot find such a bad survives...
please dont go for Godrej...
Its a bad service provider...
now I am feeling bad...

We regret to inform you that till today no solution or any response call, this refrigerator was purchased two week ago, since starting this cooling problem was. We informed to supplier on same day but no proper response got from him also.

Sir, I have purchase this refrigerator against cash payment from M/s. Monica Store, Shergarh, Dist. Jodhpur, now he is not responding.

So Sir, please take the necessary action against your product's supplier for such type of response.

I have made complain on August2nd 2011 in tollfree and the complain No.109401 in Padmavathy Rajmohan name and the complaint was the fridge is not getting cool and after the registration i have already called more than 3 times on the compalin bases to Toll and the service centre but there was no response to my comments and i feel very bad in this condition of service. Due in inconvinent service I am unable to keep my food and vegitables which is improper to my house of keeping them outside due to rat and cat problems. we have purchased a godrej eon refrigerator in april 2011.
from day one the refrigeration section was also freezing
the beeding in the top right side was damaged on arrival
the person who camin for demonstration claimed since the fridge is new it is freezing in the refrigeration section
i have been after them to come check
finally they send a man in the month of august who is more interested in selling me a stand for the fridge and only adjusted the temperature contrls in the pannel and left sayin the broken beeding would be replaced later when the stock arrives ( for a cost)!!! a new refrigerator we have purchased.
by the next day the refrigeration section froze further
the call centre employees are the worst i have seen so far
they did not even register my list of complaints
after calling them every day from 14th august to 25th august finally a man arrived on 25th and claimed thecondenser was not tripping he would return back the next day
can you imagine he totally cut off the cooling system in the machine and took off
hoe brilliant
now i am left with a huge shelf in the kitchen perhaps to stor dal chaaval!!!
I had a godrej refrigerator, It has got the thermostat problem pls replace it immediately.

Godrej Refrigerator — icing problem

I brought godrej double refrigerator in 2009 after a year it has started giving problems
to form a ice in a ice tray it takes full 24 hrs as the technician has advice me to fill the gas as the filter must be choked I dont know what the exact problem is and when it will be solved

Made a complaint regarding damaged sealing of(gasket) of my fridge GOLDCOOL 300 liters .I have been told it needs replacement of gasket .On 13.09.2011 appointment was booked at 2.00 pm but after repeated calling mr Raju turned at 5.00pm, he removed the the door and the gasket, and started fitting the new one, then he told me trhe size of the new gasket is small, we have to get the new one . I was getting late for my hospital .The boy asked me to go to the service center to collect the right gasket, again it took me 40 min to go and fro .Kindly explain me what is the need of home services?
At 7.15 he could fix the gasket and assemble the fridge .but the door did not close it was not getting cool.he told work has been done, only after pointing he told he will come again tomoorow .
My 6 patient had to go back as i reacjhed my clinic at 8.00 pm clock instead of 600 clock .And i had major financial losses yesterday.

the refrigerator is not working from 8 days. we called the dealer & he said will come with in the week..................................after 8 day we called again but is is not there...................what the hell service is provided to customer?.......one 1 year 4 months has over when we took the refrigerator.....................now u only tell waht to do???????????/...............is this the service given to the customer
