[Resolved]  HDFC Bank Credit Card Division — Harassment by HDFC Customer care executive

Hello Sir/Madam,

This is with regard to my credit card # [protected]. I have been holding this card for more than 3 years. The repayment towards my card has been very prompt since then; however, due to some medical expenses that I had to incur of the last 2 months January and February 2009, I failed to make the payment on time. I even called HDFC customer care to explain this and the person on the other end acknowledged the same and confirmed that I could make the lump payment for two months by End of March. Today, I received a call from HDFC Customer care again (Deepa) who was utmost rude on call and demanded the payment today itself (06 Mar 2009). I also told her that I would not be able to make the payment today and shall arrange the payment by tomorrow and walk-in-to the branch and make the cash payment of the said amount (Rs.2000). She did not listen and was very harsh to me. I also told her that I would be complaining to RBI if she continues to talk this way and she was least bothered about it. She said " I don't care, you could complain to anyone you wish to" (these were the exact words used by her). I'm totally taken aback by the way these people from the bank treat their customers. I would sincerely appeal to whomsoever to look into this as I'm a BP Patient and such calls really disturb my mental stability. I would not hesitate to blame the bank for any mishap that I face due to rising level in my pressure.

There have been couple of other people too to add to the list. One of them is Anil Anandan from Bangalore branch of HDFC.

Please do something as I strongly feel that this is affecting my mental health. I wish to re-iterate here that most of the call center people from HDFC (collections) are not maintaining the standards when it comes to customer service.

HDFC Credit card division services have become totally defunct ; their software is totally bull . Since, 1st of August, 2009, I am not able to transact through PayPal using my HDFC Bank Credit card . The Credit card department takes things very lightly and they do nothing ; this is true for all HDFC bank credit card holder . But with other bank, this is working . Shameless people bluffing and harassing for the last 31 days .

I have not received any communication from you.

After receipt of your letter, as mentioned in your letter, for clarifications I contacted Mr.Paul Ajay ([protected]), he suggested Ms.Anita to contact ([protected]) but both are not responded, there is clarification from them. There is no customer care to your HDFC customer. This is very practice from you.

Kindly clarify How you have arrived Rs.24285.54?
I have not received further reply from you against your letter dt.10.5.2006.

Kindly refund Rs.24285.54 to my account which is not correct by debiting my account without my notice and acceptance. I have not given any authorization to you for debiting o[censored]nnecessary amounts from my account which not correct and not acceptable. Please pay back immediately without further delay which is illegal thing committed by you. Otherwise I have to approach Reserve Bank of India, Hyderabad and Consumer Court for necessary help and support.

I have closed my carloan a/c no-646535 dted-31 Jul 2009 &submitted R.c book xeroxcopy to your officer Mr.Narendra, cuttack Branch to issue of NOC with in 25th Aug 2009.When i called dted 31st & got another telephone no to querry &that officer called me cuttack branch dted 5th sept to collect NOC with idcard.Tilltoday i have not got NOC.Your officer also harrasement to me.I again request your goodself to look in to the matter personally &issue of NOC as far as possible.

HDFC Credit Card — LACK OF RESPONSIBILITY

HDFC bank customer care services does not provide adequate information. they dont take responsibility of documents submitted on a branch on a working day. Even u lodge a complaint you hardly get any assistance from their side. But they very eagerly cut different type of charges etc etc...

I have a recently opened Prepaid cards cum salery (HDFC Money Plus Card ) in which I have get my Money Plus card but not get my pin number as yet, one month has gone to wait for the same. I could not get my salery transferred by the company. So I am very disappointed with the service providing by HDFC. I have complaint against the branch in Sanjay place, Agra many times but they are not giving me any positive response. My humble request to you pls sort out my problem as soon as possible.

I hope you must have engaged some qualified tele calling executives who represent the bank HDFC and are entrusted to call on the customers and remind them for their due payments with some professional ettiquette and manners.But there are some instances where ur telecalling girls are using abusive words to the family members and have also started threatening .
Now i hope i should escalate this matter with your senior management and lastly at the consumer forum.

time my total amount something 22000 .collection depart cut 3800 .than collection tele executive told me you have pay Rs7500 to full settlement in two or three instalments and told me that time rs700 for processing than I give that Rs700 .Then
next month credit card division told me sorry sir we cannot process your request on Rs7500 so you have gave Rs10300 in full settlement in four instalments .Also on that
time I agree to pay, tele executive told me my instalments are of Rs2560 each so pls pay Rs[protected]this month & continues your next instalments from next month .Then Credit card division again blocked my Account, then I go to HDFC BANK credit card division Rajauri garden for this settlement purpose, then executive
told me NOT ANY SETTLEMENT IS DONE.i shocked that time and then the executive told me sir next month(November) your settlement will be happen .
So please
Take my request process it. Because I want to resolve this problem anyhow .Help

Sir, due to misbehaviour of your executive from telephone number[protected] on[protected] I made a complaint to HDFC branch Hisar Haryana vide book no 41530 complaint no C-155_HBCR 7UFDGQ/09 docket no 9298139 and it was requested to close my credit card number [protected].At that time Re 1560- were over due my credit card. I have paid Re 2100- and again requested to close my credit card telephinically as well as in writing but it is sorry to point that I am still receiving calls from [protected] and SMS for making payment of over due.I have already requested to stop any type of transaction from my cerdi card and close immediately and I will not be resposible for any type of payment, then why your bank is harrassing me.It is again requested to consider my request immediately and cancell all overdue amount which is not relating to me.I will not be responsible for any transaction from above noted credit account.

Credit Card — Harrassment from HDFC credit Card department

Hello,

I have a HDFC credit card which I use very rarely. I use other credit cards as the HDFC service is very bad. I do not get the statements on my address, email or no any sms alerts.

I got a call last month from HDFC for the payment of Rs. 400.00, I paid it assuming that I might have used the card. This month they called up again with the amount due Rs. 5000.00. I told them that I need to get a statement to check the details and then, I will pay accordingly.

They are not in a position to explain the charges, will not send the hardcopy, will not even send duplicate statement on the email address. But, they talk very rudely. HDFC employees are very unprofessional.

As a customer, we have a right to ask for the statement to know what we are paying for. An employee Preetam used the words "We will not send any documents, you pay the dues if you wish to".

I am very disappointed with such service of a reputed bank like HDFC. I would like to know what action I can take in this case.

This is sorry to inform you that myself Ms.Nirmal Wasuja (sr. Citizen Defence services) is being harassed by your hdfc employees for not done any thing wrong. My credit card no.# [protected] and was stolen in March 2008.(FIR Given) from my home in robbery. Now directly coming to the point every day or the other your people used to call me for payments and i also made one payment last year assuring me by your team members that no body from the hdfc bank will call you again for payment of your said card as this is the last payment and rest all amount is waved as it is used by you. Now its been more than 20 months still your team is harassing/disturbing me for more payments. My husband is not mentally fit and beyond that i am being tortured by your team.
Shock of my life is that you people hold my Maruti Alto car's NOC (HDFC CAR Loan no.599953) on that behelf that you are defaulter in hdfc bank credit card which i have already told you that card in being misused in robbery and my Car Loan is fully paid and no outstanding is pending in it.
This is last letter/complaint to you otherwise i have to complaint to RBI for harassment and not giving my NOC of the said loan which is clear by all means.

Sir/Madam,

This is with regard to my credit card # [protected]. I have been holding this card for more than 3 years.

I took a credit this card of Rs. 8000/- in 2006 and after that I was paying this minimum amount what ever is updated in the outstanding statement for upto 2008. Then I went for full and final settlement to clear the outstanding. Upon mutual understanding happened between self and Ms Samira (representing your bank) it was agreed for an full and final settlement on Rs.13000/- with Rs.1000 EMI per month towards me after paying every month. I have religiously paid this EMI for one year and then also I had not received settlement letter from the Bank.

Much to my surprise on saturday 18th, Nove, 2009 and 21st Nove, 2009 evening I had recovery agents appointed by your bank at my residence doorstep in my absence and asking to my parent for recovery of outstanding.

I have got some serious concerns with the scheme of things happened today morning and was really aghast about the treatment and harassment meted out to my family members in my absence. Have really failed to understand why either the bank officials nor the recovery personnel contact self before taking such step.

For your information I am a middle class person. My Mother and father is BP patient also my younger brother is mentally retarted patient & these people coming to my house once in a month and Harassing to my mother and father in my absence with out any intimation where-in I have already updated my mobile number to them.

Finding my self stuck in a state of such mess and left with no option I went to bank to clear the above matter once for all. However much to my shock bank officials again showed Rs.15000/- outstanding balance on my credit card and said I have to clear this amount with in six month with EMI of Rs.2500/- per month then they will issue the settlement letter for me. If I already clear Rs.13000/- by giving 1000/- EMI every month then why again the statement has showing Rs.29000/- outstanding on my name?

Would also inform just to relieve my family from such recovery agents visit at my residence during my absence I have today again deposited 1000/- rs at your branch. For me this seems nothing short of a ransom paid.

I would sincerely appeal to all respective stakeholders to look into this as it really disturbs my mental stability.

Please do something as I strongly feel that this is affecting my mental health.

Request you to kindly address this concern at the earliest else I would be compelled to report this to the concerned regulatory bodies / ngo’s / banking ombudsman and also share my all negative experiences with your bank within my known circle.

After clearing all the above matter you are requested to discontinue my credit card.

this is a strange case of the hdfc bank staff harassing a person who is not a card holder, much less a defaulter. my peace is repeatedly ruined by calls from the hdfc credit card division (hyderabad) using harsh and impolite language.
they are harassing me to give the contact number of the card holder [protected] who gave our address (302, janapriya pramila enclave, kundanbagh, hyderabad - 16). the card holder resided in this premises until a year and three months ago. we are not in touch. but the hdfc people pester us for the contact number. we offered to try and help, but we do not want any longer to because of their intemperate language. I am not the card-holder and what responsibility do I have?.
i request the HDFC authorities to enquire and take stern action against the staff (one lady identified herself as Sudha while another woman did not bother to) and give us the feedback of the action taken. also please ensure that we are not bothered by these telephone calls.

Sir, I was the user of HDFC Credit Card, and the credit utilsed by was deducted directly from My HDFC Saving Bank account. After some time the bank has stoped my credit facility without asining any reason. I also not care about it. At one day I received a cal from Bank that an outstanding recovery is showing against me. The Lady who phoned my directed to pay interest. I told her that I will not pay a singly paisa until and unless you will not provide me the statement stating how much amount was outstanding, recovered by you and pending as on today. Every month I am receiving phon from regarding payment, everytime I am asking for statment. In the month of december I had received a phoncall from bank, stating that server was not in function condition. however, now thesame is now working, and the statment will be despatched within day or two.

On my surprise, I received a phon call bearing No.[protected], the person speaking at other side told his name Dharveer Tyagi ASI, from Eco Crime Branch New Delhi, started abusing and deregative manner and given threating me to arrest, Your honor is requested to kindly enquire the matter and take theaction against him.

I am very sorry to say that last 3 years I am useing your credit card and I am pay the amount as per your statement, some times I am pay the minimum amount to you but last 2 months I am defoliators due to some unseen circumstances.
In that connection I am pay my last minimum payments last month on 23rd but this month I am yet not pay the amount.

Several times I am request to your collection team that please give me some times to pay that..But today your person use me some nasty words even to my wife. On 10.31 A.M some lady like MOUTUSI she says she is the manager. She tell me I am cheater, she tell me and ma wife that she send some person to my house for collection even she says that it is bound to pay tomorrow.

Not only that she tell me to complain any where because she says it is does not matter for her.
Hope all conversation are recorded so please here that conversation this is my request to you.I am also recorded that conversation. Several times she tell me about my age, my cust, she says I am a thick skin man, she says to my wife that your husband are not up the mark because he use our money but not yet pay.
More thing she like to challenge to me to pay.Even she tell that by any circumstances your bank recover from me by hook and crook.

I am saying several time to give me some times but she says tell me that day but now my position is not to mention that day particularly because I am not in a position.

I am saying that by any circumstances I pay that amount within march and like to settle that amount but she says this is not possible.

Now what I am doing.She give me the ultimatums to pay within 22nd of this month.

Sir please help me to pay properly.I am not like to cheat your amount but please give me some times.

I am awaiting for your help. Please tell me the solution. I am also talk with one advocate about this and like to complain to RBI also. Because that lady threaten me and my family today about this payments.

HDFC Credit Card — HDFC Credit card harrassment

My name is Saikh Sarwar Saddat Hakim. My salary account number is [protected] which was blocked.My credit card number is [protected]. Due to nonpayment they blocked my card and debited my money from my hdfc bank account.I have written letter to credit card and customer but with negative result.I received a call from a lady named Muskan mobile number .She asked me to pay 2500/-,which i paid and also she told me that my salary account is put on hold but will be ok within 48 hours. Again she said she will send her executive today which she didn't and on bank again debited 10235/- from my account.Now when i called customer care to both banking and credit card they gave me debit collection number. They have taken already interest charges.Now they have made this figure to 67000/- which is more than double my transaction.Now i am paying minimum amount how ever i am receiving threats from collection that give us this much amount by the end of this month or else we will again block your salary account.
