Dear Sir Date: 18/02/09
On approaching your bank for personal loan couple of days back, It came to my knowledge as a very unpleasant surprise that my name has been put under RIC list by your bank on the ground that I have tried to do some fraud in seeking a loan earlier.
In this connection I would like to bring to your kind notice that in November 2008 I did approach your bank through the General Motors dealer M/s Mallika located at Car Galaxy Thane for a car loan for buying a Chevrolet Spark car. Your agent by the name Mr. Murugan, who was looking after the loans at the above dealer, asked me to provide him my address proof and salary slip. When I informed him that I am currently staying in a rented accommodation at Santacruz (E) at Mumbai and my permanent address is at Baroda, he advised me to give him my Permanent address proof, a copy of the electricity bill of the flat in which I was staying then, my passport, my pan card as well as my father’s pan card along with my salary slip, which I gave him.
After a fortnight he informed me that my application has not been approved by your bank. Without suspecting anything, I then approached another bank & they promptly sanctioned my loan & I bought the car & am paying my installments regularly since last seven months.
Now that I needed a personal, I again approached your bank & it came to me as a shock to learn that I have been blacklisted. On enquiring the reason, your executive informed me that as per your record I am alleged to have forged my name on the electricity bill of my land lady. I would like to categorically state that I had done no such illegal act and if at all, this must have been done by your overenthusiastic agent Mr. Murugan to circumvent the procedural difficulty to earn his commission by getting my loan sanctioned through dubious means.
I would like to further state that I'm a responsible person working in a senior position with YES Bank and being a bank employee and knowing the implication of such act, would never indulge in it to get the car loan sanctioned. This act perpetrated by your over enthusiastic agent is very detrimental to my reputation and has also caused me immense mental agony. I would therefore, request you that this case must be thoroughly investigated and the erring agent must be taken to task and my name must immediately be cleared from this list and a confirmation be given to me in writing to this effect. Any information needed from my end in this regard shall be provided by me immediately.

    Dear Sir,

    I have HDFC bank home loan from last 2.5 yrs. Right now as every bank have down their interest rate which is around at 9 %. But HDFC bank still charging me 11.75% of interst rate.
    Therefore I called their CCE & asked my query like why they are charging this much of higher interest rate for a old customer.

    On this I got reply as I can decrese this interest rate by paying 0.5% on the principal outstanding amount. so my query is why bank is asking to customer to pay an extra amount for decresing the interest rate ? Why should I pay any extra amount for this ?

    Also ... Initially bank offered me home loan & it was based on my monthly income & other related things. But as of now when bank is incresing their interst rate then why they are not considering the economical condition of their customer. This will not remains same all the time.

    Please consider my complaint and do the needful.

    Do not pay a single penny to bank to do convesrion. This is cheating. Many have gone ahead nad done this. Let me explain why you should not do conversion

    Say ...now your interest rate comes to 9% from 11% after paying charge. After some time again interest rate will go up. Again it will reach 12%. Then Int rate will come down. HDFC for people like us will decrease by 0.5%. Then ask for one more convesion to bring at par with new customer. So in 20 years time you will pay 10 times conversion to reduce your rate. That too the rate that is prevalent in Market, given to new customers. We are hostage in the hands of these people. Do not do this. Fight till you finish. Complain to MRTPC, banking Ombudsman. Tell your relative, friends & public, never go to them for loan. Jago Grahak Jago .. Let's bring a revolution.

    And if they do not decrease int rate for you (without taking any convesion fees) do change to Public sector bank.
    i also suffered from hdfc on this issue like on decreasing the rate of interest, the hdfc staff always says you should pay conversion fee to decrease your rate of interest.therefore all affected sufferer should fight against hdfc and protest.

      My name is .S.Ranganathan iam having credit card of hdfc A/c no is [protected].

      i have closed my a/c with nill balance one year before.and i have sent closing letter also but iamm not received closing letter.
      3 year before i have taken 17, 000 (seventeen thousand cash loan) for that monthly premium is 565/-
      but iam paying monthly Rs=1000 or 2000 also.but hdfc bank credit, they are not sending statement.when iam call customer care they not informing me the balance amount.
      iam very confuse i have paid more then 30000/=now i want close.the my a/c.
      please do the need full.Thank you.

        Dear Sir,

        I am one of the unfortunate middle class customer of HDFC having taken housing loan with them in the year 2001 with floating rate of interest. My loan account no. is[protected] and I have Rs 12 Lacs loan with HDFC.

        I am pained to note that HDFC has not been ethical in dealing with the floating interest rates for the existing customers. I am surprised to find that HDFC even today is charging me 12.5 % interest today when the new customers are all getting charged at the rate of 8.75 to 9 %. This is highly unethical and day light robbery.

        I understand they are using a technique of passing on the benefit to only new customers by adjusting the spread only by givng more discount from PLR. As an existing old customer, my interest rate is defined by the HDFCs PLR which they seldom touch. This is is sheer cheating.

        The trust with which I had been having my relation ship with HDFC is broken by this cheap tactics and I as customer is very pained and feel cheated. The purpose of taking the risky bet with floating rate is to look for the benefit during the reduction of interest rate. I find HDFC is quick to pass on the increase of interst rate due to macro economic factors and is cheating existing customers by adopting un fair means of varying the discount on spread to the new customers. This is atrocious

        I am lodging this complaint with the Honourable Reserve Bank of India for an urgent action in stopping this cheating of customers like me.

        I would request RBI to take this issue strongly and arrive at a way by fair way for both the NBFC and the customerlike me. The existing lacunae in the system of NBFC being allowed to set its own PLR should be done away with and the same need to be tied up with and independent regulator's interest rate announcements (like RBI)

        I am looking forward to your action in this matter to resolve this cheating by NBFC Await your response to take the matter forward with RBI / Consumer protection groups. Request HDFC to not cheat the customers like this. Regards

        I completely agree with you, Mr Sai Krishnan. HDFC is cheating its unsuspecting customers, but that is the case with most of the private banks in India today. RBI has failed miserably to control these fleecing agents. Many people who got lured into HDFC's honey traps like us are realising our mistakes. I have decided not to deal with HDFC in future. I am also letting all my friends in my network to deal with HDFC. I have been successful in a few cases already. My new car loan has just been obtained from a nationalised bank, which cost me a few more trips to their branch. The other thing that you did not notice in your complaint is that senior management of HDFC told the public that they haven't been able to bring down the interest rate for the old customers because the cost of their funds haven't come down. If that's true, old customers rates would never have gone up in the first place with the raising interest rates. Let all the Parekhs become even more fatter by sucking our hard-earned money...

        I totally agree with you. There is no monitoring body for these banks and they cheat the customers as they want.

        They are real crooks roaming fully dressed up.RBI also knows this and all are hand in glove.

        I suppose the option is go to consumer redressal forum where atleast you get a hearing

        I am also agreeing to this complaint. HDFC does this in a smart way. They are also one of the banks in the market who are cheating people. I am going to close the account soon. Next time i will not go for HDFC bank.

          I have deposited a check of 5000/- dated 16/01/2009 HSBC cheque# 009005 and which clears all my dues. I am not aware why this outstanding of Rs. 44, 438.65 coming from as I have never used my Card from June 2007 and its blocked since then. Neither iIwas intimated of any transaction made.

          I have also enclosed the EMI letters which you had sent across to me, which says that the EMI ends in JAN 2009.

          I am also enclosing the card cut into two piece as stating I surrender my card to you CARD # [protected].

          I do not have any tranasction of Rs. 44, 000/- as it was blocked from June 2007.

          I was never intimated through mail or written letter that charge was added for Rs. 44, 000/- due to non payment of the EMI's.

          There was no preclosure from my end, only I wanted some information about the preclosure.

          Also, In fact i didnt pay 2-3 times monthly in 2007 due to the issue on my card for wrong transaction. so before clarification was made how can I make payments.

          I have all the wriiten proofs of delay in answering from your customer care department.

          Hence, as you had sent the letter for CASH on CALL EMIs, I have never recieved a mail or letter from HDFC stating that a charge of 44, 000/- has been made, since is deactivated. I started recieving statements of a different card # [protected].

          I have never recieved the card till date and neither I have used... Hence it doesnt belong to me.

          I might have a balance of 246.83 for loan # 755085 for the month of FEB 2009, which I will pay a payment of 500/- to end the loan. Loan # 698891 is closed and besides these two i do not have any other loan from HDFC bank credit card as it was blocked from June 2007.

          If this matters doesnt end here then the next step would be to go to Consumer court for harrasing people from credit card companies.

            Hello sir,

            I have taken hdfc credit card before around 1 year, i was using is also, but once a time i forgot to deposit the money, I asked hdfc customer service center and asked very gently that I havent deposited last payment please let me know the exact amount of money I need to pay to come out from it including late charges.

            The lady from the customer care has told me to submit 650 I have deposited same on the next day. Then also in the next statement I found some late charges.
            So in short they were asking me for the late chareges twice.
            I called them once again and they told that i have to pay this charges anyhow.

            even I have asked them for settement amount, but they are not ready to hear anything.


            I havent paid any statement after this incident, now the last statement indicate that hdfc has sent my details to RBI as a defaulter.

            What should I do in this type of problem.
            Please let me know.

            Two months back I have surrendered my Credit Card No. [protected] after verfying from the customers service that there is no due. Now, I have received a statement stating that Rs. 37, 605 is due. This includes late fee, service tax cess tax finance charges retail Rs.1, 107.86 etc. Why should I suffer after surrenderng the card? First of all they have to stop all the transaction immediately and the question of late fee does not arise. I have opted for withdrawal of membership from Country Club India Ltd., As such the question of membership fee does not arise. Credit card Division may please explain in detail about the transaction of 37, 605. Till the dispute is over they should not charge any late fee etc.

              I got a charge-back of Rs.4692.98 from IRCTC on 02-July-08 against the cancellation of one of my ticket of Rs.4784.60 on 30-Jun-08 but HDFC bank is not ready to give me the credit of that charge-back and imposing the financial charges in my card. I have send the dispute latters and mails to them so many times but all in vain. They are not ready to accept the mistake of their end and system.
              I'm following this issue with bank from the last 6 months but their customer care executives are not wel aware about my issue and every time they make a false promise to me for resolving my issue but problem is still exist. I have confirmed with IRCTC regarding that charge-back and they provided me the proof of the cancellation and charge-back and that proof i have already forwarded to bank many times but they are not considering that proof. I still using my HDFC card and paying my monthly charges honestly after deducting that charge-back amount but in-spite of that bank has put my name in (CIVIL) and due to this i'm unable to get other banking facilities like loan etc. and this is very embarassing situation for me.

                Hello,

                I have a Home Loan with HDFC Home Loan and they have recently hiked the switching fees from 2% to 3%. Also, they are asking their customers to pay 0.5% extra to get their interest rate reduced. If customers need to pay 0.5% extra, then what is the meaning of Floating Rate?

                When RBI increast any governed rate, HDFC is the first bank to increase the interest rates but when it comes to decreasing it, HDFC is not even the last. They bluntly deny to reduce the rate.

                In the long run, it will be harmful to bank only. After all, a satisfied customer gives 100 new customers and here daily, HDFC is creating 1000's of furstated customers.

                I took home loan from HDFC almost 2 and half year ago at the Interest rate of 9.75 but they start hiking it with in few months.
                Currently HDFC is charging me 11.5% from this January before that it was 12%.
                One Good news is HDFC is now giving home at the 9.75%, Though this rate is only for new customers so that can attract them and once they are in make the rules more stiff so that they just can not escape from it.
                I don't know what is the definition of floating in HDFC dictionary, Floating rules(like Switching rate, Prepayment rules ) or Floating Interest Rate which float in only upside.

                When every bank is taking step to reduce the home loan rate, HDFC is just reluctant to take any step towards this in fact they started increasing switching rate by 1 percent. Now this is a real gimmick.

                I think HDFC has really forgot the theory that one satisfied customer will tell 10 other people but one unsatisfied customer will tell 100s of people.
                Guys no point taking all this here lets get together & Take the fight to HDFC.

                i had my home loan automatically switched from centurion bank of punjab to hdfc bank which was the most unluckiest day as the banksemployees are rude andits policies are embarassing to its coustomers.ihad taken a loan 4 years back at 7.25% which was raised to 12% by the time of foreclousreon 16 feb 2009, i had to pay 7, 37, 000 against 725000 after paying my regular emi for 4 years.
                my suggestion to all is if you need loan go to any bank, but not to HDFC.Its the worst bank in service as mr nitin stated in his comment . LETS FIGHT AGAINST ITS DISCRECIENCIS.
                i completely agree with the fight against hdfc as is is looting its existing customers.

                  Sir,
                  I have taken Car loan from Panjab Bank which now have been merged into HDFC Bank in 2004 for Rs.2 lakh 20 thousands for the term of five years. I have given 59 post dated cheques for re-payments.Now a letter has been received from HDFC Bank, Retail Asset Div, 3rd Floor, Trade Star Bldg, Opposite J.B. Nagar, Andheri-Kurla Road Andheri-East, Mumbai to pay Rs.1618 an outstanding amount (due to late clearance of cheques). I have cheked my bank pass book during period of deduction of loan amount, there is/was a sufficient balance to recover the instalment of loan amoun for which I had given the post dated cheques. Late clearance of cheques is the fault of bank. I am not responssible for the late clearance of cheques.

                  Now the bank is not issuing the clearance of loan certificate.. Kindly guide me what should I do now.

                  HDFC Bank India — Rude behaviour on personal loan re-payment

                  Hi This is Vishnu and I have HDFC salary account and I am maintaining it for past 2 years.
                  I have taken personal loan 7/8 months back and I am regularly paying the EMI except on the month of Feb'09.
                  Since I missed to submit my tax proofs in my company so most of my salary was cut in Jan salary.
                  So I was un-able to pay my Feb EMI and I got almost 6/7 calls from HDFC bank executive persons and they are thretning me for the payment.
                  I called the Customer Care and they said I can pay this EMI on next month ie Mar'09 with includes of late fees and checque bounce charges.
                  And today it was 26.02.09 and I am saying I will pay it on 02.03.09, but still this representative was not accepting and he is saying he will
                  come at my residence at 10PM or 6AM and I really felt very bad on this and it really hurt me.
                  I am thinking of complaint to RBI and also now I am planning to change my Salary A/c to Citibank or ING Vysa Bank.
                  Before I thought I will check with you and then decide on it.
                  I will wait for your response.

                  HDFC Bank — Late clearance of cheque

                  I deposited cheque No.967361, dt.29.4.2009 in the HDFC bank The Mall Road Amritsar on the same day. It was govt.salary account No, [protected].The person incharge misplaced the cheque, when I enquired from the bank they advised me to see something as I had not deposited the cheque. When I showed the bank slip they traced my cheque and took various alpha and beta excuses.The account no. was mentioned on the back of the cheque.Later the cheque was cleared on 9.5, 2009.I got my salary 10 day late for the faults of Mrs.H>D>F>C>.                     I having a credit card of HDFC Bank against one payment is pending. From which i am giving part payments every month and even interest also. Now only payment of Rs. 4500/- is pending for which i have commited them to close this in June only. But the person over phone there is using such a rude and abusive language. Even after my repeated requests to dont use such kind of language and payment will be done, she does not stop to use that kind of language.

                    She is not giving me any other persons number or their managers number to complaint against her. Even HDFC bank customer care support does not provide me any kind of number to talk a senior level person in bank for registering complaint against her.

                    The number where i am getting these calls are[protected]. They are harrasing me by using such a pathatic and abusive language even after the commitment of getting payment done in this month. I think HDFC bank does not have any moral value for their customers who are having their accounts with them. They dont even bother about what kind of mental harrasment given by these recovery agents.

                    Requested to take some steps against that girl for using abusive language. other wise i have to go for legal action against HDFC Bank for harrasing me mentally.

                    I am a HDFC credit card holder i am in UAE now 10 months back i took 20000rs from Credit card after 2 months they told u have 2 pay 50000rs but i told icant they are saying we will go to imigration and i will catch but i am not afraid any posibilties are ther they can block my visa or stop to come here i am ready to pay money untill reduce the amount why should i pay?

                    I have been getting abusing calls from HDFC credit Card collection department department. they are not only abusing me but also calling at wife phone nos. Mr. Manjit singh is the name of the person and calling from the No[protected]/66219031 / 43145000 / 43145100.

                    We have been harrassed and threathened by him. Although we have requested him to settle the account.

                    We reuest to take this thing seriously. As it can create lot of nuisance.

                    HDFC Bank — Harrasment by HDFC Bank credit card recovery agents

                    My name is Siddharth Shankar Kanungo and I am writing to bring certain facts to your kind notice.

                    I used a silver credit card (No: ***********81462) from HDFC Bank in 2005 during my stay in Delhi. Later, I got relocated to my home town Bhubaneswar after duly informing the bank about the same. As required, I had also provided my new contact details however, I did nor receive any periodic statements and other updates from the bank with regards to my account at my new address in Bhubaneswar. Therefore, I stopped using the card and decided to disposed it. Accordingly, I cut it diagonally, sealed the pieces in an envelope along with a letter to the bank requesting closure of the account. Since then I was not able to make payments due on me. Yet I did not recieve any correspondence from the bank and as a matter of fact, I have not received any formal correspondence until today when I received a call in the morning at 11.54 am from the number [protected]. The person on the other side introduced himself as an officer of the Delhi Police. He was extremely abusive and threatened me of dire consequences if I do not call Mr. K. L. Pradhan immediately. I called Mr. Pradhan on the number [protected] and found him even more rude and impolite. He also provided me with the credit card number ( No: ***********81462) however, I am not sure if the same was mine as I disposed it long time back. According to him the amount due on the card is Rs. 60000.00 and I need to go to the nearest branch of HDFC bank and pay the same by Monday 3.00 pm failing which I shall face legal action. However, according to my perception, the dues on the card should not exceed Rs. 6000.00. Also I need to have information about the current position of my account from your end so that I can proceed any further towards the settlement of the same.

                    In the meantime, I have met with a severe road accident and am jobless for the past couple of years. In such a situation it becomes impossible on my part to fulfill such an illegitimate demand of Mr. Pradhan, especially when I have not been informed about the status of my account even once in all these years.

                    Please help me resolve this issue as i am traumatized and feel harassed by your recovery agents. I do not have any idea as to who are the authorized HDFC bank personnel to resolve this as I have little scope to find out the truth without your kind assistance. But I am still willing to go for a settlement if I am allowed enough time apart from reasonable assistance from your end.

                    Please get bank to me as soon as possible so that we can go ahead and resolve the issue.

                    Again today I received a call from the number [protected]. The person on the other side introduced himself as Sub-Inspector Dharamveer Singh of Delhi Police. He was as rude and abusive as yesterday. I told him that I have sent an e-mail to [protected]@hdfcbank.com and got the reference number 'HBL=[protected].

                    As stated in the reply I recieved, " The subject line contains the reference number allotted to your e-mail. This interaction is being tracked through the above reference number and we request you not to change the subject line in future correspondence. Your feedback is important to us and we are committed to provide a satisfactory resolution. Our Customer Service Executives will respond within two working days. In case your query requires further investigation and takes a longer time, we will keep you informed on the time required for resolution. "

                    I told the above to Mr. Dharamveer Singh however, he did not listen to a thing and instead gave me an ultimatum till coming Monday 3.00 pm to deposit all my dues at the nearest branch of HDFC bank failing which he will issue arrest warrants against me and my family members.

                    My question is, should I consider this as the official stand of HDFC bank regarding this issue? I have not received a single correspondence from the bank since the year 2006 due to which I have stopped using the card and disposed it as well. Now all of a sudden, I am being called and abused over the phone. What was the bank doing all these years? Sleeping? Is this the price you pay for being honest and letting them know your contact details? Is this a legitimate way to settle the pending accounts? Shouldn't there be any official written communication?

                    Please please people, let me know what I should do now. Also suggest if I should move to the consumer court to resolve this issue. Thanks!

                      We are having a joint saving Bank Account at HDFC, Branch-Kolkata, Raghunathpur, Dhariwal House, On VIP, Kolkata-700059. Bearing Account No.[protected].
                      In the month of November' 08, we applied for extension/ processing of Investor Service Account for which from KYC also filled. Time to time the case was pursued by us & in the month of Jan, 09, your official at the branch informed that till date the KYC has not registered, however they will follow up the case and shortly the ISA account will be activated.
                      Today I personally met your official, they told me to resubmit the forms of KYC, then only the case of ISA could be processed.
                      My complaint, 1 Where the forms has missed, office has failed to show me any document
                      that the case was processed to the competent authority
                      2. Such type of Services is not expected from HDFC Bank.
                      3. It is expected to get an communication if any problem arises to our
                      application for ISA & KYC.

                      I having saving account with HDFC, In side the saving account a facility is there for mutual fund investment. That is called as ISA account in there term. I actived ISA option in 2007 april. As per terms and conditions, HDFC can charge Rs.100/- per year for this services. May be based on the mutual fund purchase they can charge the comission as entry load. Now the bank is charging Rs.110/- without our knowledge.Now I want to change my address of this account. I have checked with three branches in chennai (karapakam, perungudi, nanganellor) .No one is aware of the ISA account. They don't have any request forms on related to ISA account. I called up the customer care and check with them. No customer care executives aware of this ISA. Finally I came to know HDFC is supporting for ISA servies.I want to bring this to RBI attention. Yearly the HDFC bank is charging around Rs.500/- and no support is providing to there customer.

                        I have come to the conclusion that HDFC is there not to help the customers but rather loot them in any way possible. All the posting on this forum are a proof of it.                         I am also recently opened a saving A/C, but couldn't able to find the Customer ID in the welcome pack. If at all we have to get it from some other process then they must inform the customer about the procedure to get that.I don't know how could they fool us this way keeping Customer ID as a key entry for all the transaction without informing anything about that.
                        I have also face the same problem. But at the place of compaining i call the customer care and get my customer id.

                          Harassment by the recovery department!
                          I am a saving salaried A/C holder in your bank under A/C No. [protected], Yesterday when I was an urgent need of money went to your bank, It was shocking that even though my account showed a good amount of balance the required amount still I was not able to withdraw due to unknown reason. When I tried to solve the same to your Bank Customer Care Executive, The reply I got was even horrifying that the total amount which i need to pay is 66000.I got to know about a credit card on my name which I was never aware of and all of sudden my all transactions has been barred.
                          It is been 5 years i am holding this account and i never recieved any credit card statement for the above said card, even though bank always had my updated mailing address. Even after repeatedly asking for the details of the transaction, there is no response from the bank.
                          I am highly dissappointed at this level of service. How can bank hold my money on any body’s instruction & without my knowledge.Now I am in great trouble as I am not able to transact nor able to withdraw any amount and I am great need of the cash lying in my salary account .

                          Please do the needful to solve the same as earliest, Otherwise I may have to take a legal action

                          I am receiving threatening calls from HDFC Bank, Hyderabad ( Ranigunj Branh ) from Ms. Sruthi.

                          Please find below the exact situation

                          As per Ms. Sruthi ( HDFC ) My brother-in-law ( Mr. Yugandhar ) has taken HDFC bank credit card and there is some outstanding amount from last 4 months.

                          Ms. Sruthi called Mr. Yugandhar father and threatening immediate payment but Mr. Yugandhar father don’t know the exact situation and moreover Mr. Yugandhar father and mother are heart patients. Mr. Yugundhar father given my number to Ms. Sruthi ( HDFC) for my contact and enquiry the exact situation

                          The twist is Mr. Yugandhar truant from last four months and we don’t know where is now. I am saying lies to Mr. Yugandhar parents he went to out of country because to save there lives and similarly we are searching for him.

                          I have received a call from Ms. Sruthi (HDFC) and I have taken all the payment information and told her I am the responsible person on behalf of Mr. Yugandhar and explained exact situation and requested don’t call to Mr. Yugandhar parents because there are heart patients and don’t want to hear any your threatening calls. She said OK and I requested 10 days time to pay some amount. She refused to give time and I requested to talk the manager, she said will call after hour time, but I have not received a call from Manager (HDFC) or Ms. Sruthi ( HDFC)

                          Again today they call to Mr. Yugandhar parents and threatening for payment. Mr. Yugandhar father called me and asked why they have called again.

                          Mr. Yugandhar has swiped this card or not we don’t know and moreover he is a student he is not working any organization. How HDFC granted Rs.50,000/- limit card to him. HDFC has not enquired any thing to his parents before issuing the card. Now they are threatening for the payment. We don’t the exact situation whether he swiped the card or any other misused.

                          Now the situation is very worst condition Mr. Yugandhar mother is hospitalized after Ms. Sruthi (HDFC) threatening call for payment.

                          Could you please explain me how to resolve this situation?

                          As per Ms. Sruthi ( HDFC ) My brother-in-law ( Mr. Yugandhar ) has taken HDFC bank credit card and there is some outstanding amount from last 4 months.

                          Ms. Sruthi called Mr. Yugandhar father and threatening immediate payment but Mr. Yugandhar father don’t know the exact situation and moreover Mr. Yugandhar father and mother are heart patients. Mr. Yugundhar father given my number to Ms. Sruthi ( HDFC) for my contact and enquiry the exact situation

                          The twist is Mr. Yugandhar truant from last four months and we don’t know where is now. I am saying lies to Mr. Yugandhar parents he went to out of country because to save there lives and similarly we are searching for him.

                          I have received a call from Ms. Sruthi (HDFC) and I have taken all the payment information and told her I am the responsible person on behalf of Mr. Yugandhar and explained exact situation and requested don’t call to Mr. Yugandhar parents because there are heart patients and don’t want to hear any your threatening calls. She said OK and I requested 10 days time to pay some amount. She refused to give time and I requested to talk the manager, she said will call after hour time, but I have not received a call from Manager (HDFC) or Ms. Sruthi ( HDFC)

                          Again today they call to Mr. Yugandhar parents and threatening for payment. Mr. Yugandhar father called me and asked why they have called again.

                          Please go to nearest police station, if possible record the conversaton and try to get the bank name from the person, he/she should say that I am calling from xyz bank.

                          If police do not entertain your complaint - (which they will not do - police are co-oprative these days) then you can go to RBI website, there is a provision to file a complaint against bank.

                          There are strict rulles now and bank can not use these methods.

                          But what is not clear form your post is - what do you mean by threatning call? is she abusing, using language or give dire consequenses -warning etc? If she is calling and requesting for repayment - there is nothing wrong in it. They have right to do so.

                          I was serching for HDFC corporate mail id for regitering the complait agains HDFC crdit card. Since last two three months I am reciving calls from HDFC call centers that there is outstanding on my HDFC crditcard, whereas I do not have any credit card of HDFC, I have only HSBC crdit card and I almost all the time pay in advance or extra. I had told them repetadly that i do not have any card and if they have any records they should give me the details. Hoever no details were given and they stopped calling me for a weak. Today I recived call from my parents while I was in office a legal notice has been sent by HDFC in your name and they were really shoked and afraid. This is really shoking that a bank of such repute is harrasing innocent people .
                          I really dont know what to do where to go . Without doing anything just like that how somebody could send a legal notice.Pl help me out.

                          Me too, i have availed a Home loan from centurion bank of punjab. Recently i received a letter from HDFC bank stating it has acquired the CBoP and in a process they stated my interest rate has got increased from 12% to 13%, and since from aug 2008 this has come to effect there is an outstanding amount (1lakh 60 thousand rupees) either i have to pay that amount and maintain my interest rate as 12% or it will be increased to 13% from my part it seems, and my monthly EMI also has got increased from 25k to 27k. now when every bank is reducing the Home loan interest rates, i was in a puzzle that how can this bank makes a tricky and dirty business like this. can someone guide me how can i go ahead? I have not signed the ECS form they had sent. Every day i am getting number of calls from their customer care and getting a nice scolding from them.                           This is totally cheating...Bank manager has to take some action on this.
                          I am receiving calls from HDFC bank Hyderabad, Ranigunj since three days and they are misbehaving with me and my staff.

                          All the time we are paying the credit card payment on time or some time late. Our payment is cleared till last month, the payment is due only for this month of May, because of some reason I could not make it. When I received a call from HDFC employees from recovery department and they you are using such a nasty language. It feels that the employees are from villages ……they do not know how to speak to customer.

                          Just for one month payment the bank employees are behaving like they are the bank owner or manager. Sometime the employee is saying her name pavani or sometime puja from different numbers all the time…….. the employee named puja is saying all the customer of their bank are beggars and using so vulgar language that we can not tolerate any more….

                          I think the Bank Managers are allowing them to speak in such manner to the customers…… because after seeing so many complaints in complaint box still the position is same and there is no improvement……….it is because of managers the employees are going high sky and speaking like anything and the girls employees are soooooo bad they do not deserve to be or called as a women.

                          Not only in Hyderabad but almost in other cities happening the same… pls take some serious action otherwise I will take some legal actions…….

                          This is to inform you that I Kushal Madhogaria, have applied for a personal loan from your Bank with reference no. 15320758. After getting the loan application confirmation through sms I did not got any call from your end. Then later I contacted the concern Field Executive who came to complete all the formalities for the same. He informed me that there is some problem with my application and as I asked him the details then he told me that there is some RCU related problem with me application. As I asked him the details he told that I must have applied personal loan earlier and that time I must have given some forge documents and for that reason the bank’s credit is not processing my loan application. After this conversation I came to know the problem with my application.

                          Now as per my knowledge yes I had applied for the personal loan from your bank 10 to 11 months earlier. But that time my loan got approved and I completed all the post loan documentations. But later I received a phone call from your bank that they want to see some of my original documents so I gave your executive time to come to my off and see the original copies of all the documents. Your banks executive visited me at the given time and I produced him all the original copies of my documents, instead of the Xerox copy of the driving license. When I saw the copy of the driving license I was shocked as I never had a driving license and it was totally fake. Then I informed the guy from your bank that it was not mine and I have not given the copy of that document. Then he started telling me that we can understand that it could be made forged by the executive who was processing my loan formalities. I told him the name of the concern executive called Gautam and then he told me not to worry as bank is going to take a serious action against that individual. Later that executive who came to see the originals asked me some 1500 rupees as a banks fees to remove my name from the RCU list as the documents which was submitted was forge. I was very much pissed off with that demand from your bank for removing my name from your RCU list as I did not submitted any such documents. I clearly told him that I will not pay a single penny for that as this activity was done from your own employee. Then that guy started telling me that if you don’t give this amount then he will not remove my name from that list as you will never get any further loan from our bank. Later I thought that this guy wants to take advantage as I applied for a loan from your bank and I was totally against giving that amount. I told that person that I don’t want any loan and as this is not my fault will not pay a single penny to him and told him to get lost. Later 2-3 times he called me for the same but I refused to pay and told him to keep my name in your banks RCU list as I was very irritated.

                          This is the reason why my name is still there in your forge list. As now I have explained you all the full story behind this I expect you all to go through the depth of this and accept and process my loan application as I was not responsible.

                          I am a saving salaried A/C holder in your bank under A/C No. [protected], Yesterday when I was an urgent need of money went to your bank, It was shocking that even though my account showed a good amount of balance the required amount still I was not able to withdraw due to unknown reason. When I tried to solve the same to your Bank Customer Care Executive, The reply I got was even horrifying that the total amount which i need to pay is 66000.I got to know about a credit card on my name which I was never aware of and all of sudden my all transactions has been barred.
                          It is been 5 years i am holding this account and i never recieved any credit card statement for the above said card, even though bank always had my updated mailing address. Even after repeatedly asking for the details of the transaction, there is no response from the bank.
                          I am highly dissappointed at this level of service. How can bank hold my money on any body’s instruction & without my knowledge.Now I am in great trouble as I am not able to transact nor able to withdraw any amount and I am great need of the cash lying in my salary account .

                          I was a good customer of the HDFC Credit Card and I was attacked by the urology system in a severe way. After taking Allopathic treatment in Basappa Memorial Hospital in Mysore three times. The generation of stones in kidney and the enlargement of prostate gland couldn’t be rectified by the alopathy treatment. I was under the severe pain and mental stress after the 3rd time removal of stone. I was not in a position, even to walk or laying in bed peaceful way.

                          Under these circumstances, I was referred to a Ayurvedic Hospital situated at Trichur Tq and Dist in Kerala State. South India named “Ayurveda India”, Oragam, Cherepu Dr.Sugudhan and Chief Physician of the Hospital Ayurveda India, was admitted me in a special room where I was not permitted even for coming out from the room, and the food system was only leaves and roots of the medicinal plants, and only phorange without the salt and sweet, so from the next date of Credit Card payment, it was delayed because I was not able to even to do a signature for the Cheque. So even though I was explained all these reasons to your recovery people, once they were continuously threatening through telephone to one of the our Trustee K.K.Sharada she is also a card holder and my secretary Manvitha and my Distributor Shashi kumar. K.K he is a Odd on card holder.

                          All your recovery staffs and officers was using a good language one day the so called Thripati, I doubt whether he is a bank official or a terrorist from the country, he has use all the below belt vulgar languages to my trustee secretary and K.K.Shashi kumar of trustee. He was calling my lady secretary and the lady Trustee, even the very hard hour of the night using the vulgar language which is using in the red street.

                          Being HDFC is called to be a reputed, leading institution in the banking industry. I feel that no one of the officers can control him, even police case was registered even your recovery officers have no mercy either to control him or as an apology to my Trustee and Staff. We have registered a criminal case in Saraswathi Puram police station limit, in Mysore.

                          In this democratic country a so called reputed bank management haven’t taken any serious step to control these type of illiterate and barbarian character person.

                          You can see till this date whether my Credit Card track record or my behaviour attitude to the customer care at any point of time till this episode happens.

                          This letter is delayed, because my mental and physical status was not in a condition to give a dictation to my secretary, if your goodself you need any medical proof I am ready to furnish the certificate also.

                          I have not get any justice from the bank or recovery people, so myself and my trustee has stopped all the payments. So request your goodself immediately to make an arrangement for the compensation of financial, metal, physical and social injury happen to me, because of your employees.

                          i was using a HDFC credit card but then stopped using it. i was making regular payments but then due to my hospitalization i had financial problem i could not continue doing so. and my outsatnading amt became a huge amt of $54, 000.00. i have started getting abusive calls from the collection reps.not only me they have started calling my parents and threatened them to make payment. my parents have no idea of all this. i told them to stop this because by then i have started making min payments again.but last month without any notice they have put my HDFC savings account on hold.and the 19000.00 rs got transfered to the credit card. how they could do it without the authorization? is not it fraud. when i have requested for instalments they said ok.., but this month again they have put my account on hold. and i could not take out a single rupee from my account.
                          i live alone and how would i survive without any money? when they have agreed to accept installments why they did not release the hold from my account? and where is the guarantee that after paying the full amt they would not continue doing so?

                          Hi,

                          I hold HDFC Bank Credit Card and it has quite a huge due, however I try my best to keep paying the min. amount dues on time.
                          Since last couple of months, my financial condition has detoriated and sometimes the payments get missed on time.
                          However I have informed the bank that I have no intention of making a default and I will continue paying the best possible that I can arrange at this point of time.

                          However the Collection Department is harassing a lot. Calling me was ok, but somehow they have got the mobile number of my landlord and they keep calling him and speak very very abusive language.

                          I request you advise as how should this situation be dealt. Are there any laws that they can have right to harass family/ friends ?

                          I had openied my Salary Account with HDFC bank through an agent of HDFC on 17th June 2010, after which my salary wwas deposited into the account on 30th June 2010, but i am not able to withdraw the money. After this i even logged in a complaint with HDFC (Complaint No. PUN053095) to which the executive told that i'll get a call from the concerned Complaint Department Person with 7 days which i haven't received till date. Whenevr i call the call center i get the reply that it'll be activated by evening that day or the next day morning, but nothing has happened, hence i'm lodging his complaint againt HDFC bank for harassment and misleading me for the past 8 days.

                          Also to those who are going to open any kind of account with HDFC bank please think twice before doing the same.

                          HDFC Bank — Unable to get my amount after 60 Days from HDFC Bank

                          I am an unfortuate of HDFC bank customer.I would have expected a better outcome than this one.
                          I went to Big Bazar for shoping on 31st May 2010.At the time of purchasing I use my debit card,They swipe it and told might be HDFC server is down,So plese give it in cash.I did that. I checked that HDFC bank deduct RS 1016 for shoping big Bazar on 31st may 2010.
                          I have already filled up the Cardholder Dispute Form (CDF) with the CDN (79395) created and submitted to the HDFC Bank, Sector V Branch along with a photocopy of my account statement on 1st June' 2010. I have been told that, I had to wait for 48 days.

                          So, I waited for 48 days, which is on 19 th July. But, the said amount (i.e. Rs. 1016.00) had not been credited to my account (A/c No: [protected]).

                          So, I contacted to your Customer Service Desk, they could not help myself on that. After calling repeatedly for 5 times, they have created a query (KOL043153) for that. At the same time, I have mailed to your Support Desk.

                          Per mail below, I have been asked to re-fillup the same form that I had already been to you, that is really disappointing for myself.

                          Unfortunately, you do not have any such procedure to give a receipt of the filled up CDF, if there is so, then I could have produced to you now.

                          Because, fillng up CDF and re-submit it will take another 48 days, which is really frustrating for me. I have learnt about so much good words about HDFC, but, my experience is not so.

                          I hope you can understand my concerns and request you please take neccessary action against this one, so that I can get back the money, without waiting for another 48 days.

                          HDFC Bank — Harrasment for Recovery of Non Existing Dues

                          I would like to bring to your notice that I was informed by my relative that some advocates notice has been send in my name by HDFC bank for an outstanding amount of some 2 Lac odd figure with an 7 days period to respond. The letter has been send to a Kolkata address wherein I am staying out of the city for the last 7 years & neither I am using ANY HDFC bank credit card for the said period nor am I having any loans from the bank.

                          Never ever in the last 6-7 years has there been any communication from HDFC Bank, either verbal or written on any such dues/payables on any of the account & hence this comes as an absolute surprise.

                          I was awestruck with the contents of the notice which was told to me verbally & request you to kindly look into it & resolve the matter at the earliest as I have nothing much to say in this regard.

                          I am unable to provide any details to you for the following reasons :-

                              Dear Sir/Madam,

                              I am K.A. Vijayakumar. I am a SCB a/c holder and have taken a Personal Loan from HDFC Bank, G N Chetty Road, Chennai 600 017 in November, 2008. The tenure of the loan agreement was for 24 months. I began making my payment from the month of December, 2008. I arranged for the ECS facility to have the monthly instalment deducted from my savings account held by SCB.

                              My first instalment of the loan was due on 07.12.2008. The amount Rs.4873/- by ECS was requested by HDFC on the due date. The amount was refused by SCB with the remark on the statement " ECS RTN MANDATE REQD"

                              A HDFC executive named Mr. Mazhar came to my residence on 15.12.2008 and collected cash payment for the first instalment due i.e. Rs.4873/-. He issued a receipt and he assured me that the problem was at HDFC and it would be sorted out in a few days. The receipt issued by him was 13846747 dt. 15.12.2008. Along with the payment I also enclosed a letter to regularise my ECS payment.

                              Following this, I called HDFC in the following week and did not receive any helpful or constructive reply from them. In the meantime the problem was not sorted out and it was made more difficult when my second instalment of the loan was due. Once again the amount to HDFC was returned with the statement "ECS RTN MANDATE" I made cash payment and received a receipt issued by the representative. The receipt no. 14333325 dt. 20.1.2009. A late payment fee was levied, for no fault of mine.

                              I questioned HDFC for its disastrous second performance and in reply I received a letter from HDFC on January 20, 2009 stating that the problem for the failure for the ECS going through was with SCB and it was not created by HDFC. The letter from HDFC is attached for your consideration. An executive from HDFC visited me on February 4, 2009, informing me that if I made a cash payment earlier, I could avoid a late payment charge. He too gave me assurances that the matter will be set right shortly. I made the cash payment and the receipt no issued is 14888851 dt. 4.2.2009.

                              Imagine the surprise when I checked a statement from SCB indicating that the monthly instalment of my loan for Rs.4873/- has been processed electronically on 7.2.2009. Now I have made two payments for the month of February 2009, one cash payment and one electronic payment. When I asked HDFC on February 7, 2009 for a refund of the cash payment, I was informed that I will receive the amount in six working days. When I did not receive any amount from HDFC I called once again on 16.2.2009. I was told that within the next two days I will be informed about the position of the situation.

                              When I called again on 18.2.2009 I was informed that within six working days the amount will be forwarded to me as a cheque or demand draft payment. I was given a complaint reference no.[protected] dt. 18.2.2009. I waited until 24.2.2009 and called HDFC again and was not given any proper reply. The only information given to me was that it is being processed.

                              I am made to run around and given evasive answers, rude replies and unhelpful suggestions by HDFC. This is most unbecoming of a private bank which professes international standard of operations and is supposedly customer oriented and friendly. They make use of gimmicks to trap customers and leech out their money. At no time has HDFC initiated a call to set right the situation. All calls were made by me.

                              I am writing this letter to you with the hope that you will be able to solve this problem and help to get back the amount that is due to me and waive the late payment charges that was taken from me.

                                With Reference to the HDFC Meritus Scholarship Test - My Daughter B. Farheena Thasneem - Registration Number - [protected]
                                I regret to bring to your kind attention that the disappointment experience what we had faced now,
                                1. I have already forwarded Two mails on the connectivity for the IVR Test as we did not get connected at all Every time it says Tray Later.
                                2.My Daughter has continously tried the number early morning / midnight / holidays but of no use, Not connected to the IVR Test only says "Try Later"
                                3. We have tried so far 276 times but no use.
                                4. The problem what we face now is " We have been Charged Rs. 6/- for every attempt we made to the number[protected].
                                5. We have been charged Rs. 1656 ( 276 * 6 ) One thousand six hundred and fifty Six Rupees for not having connected to the number you have mentioned. We agree that Rs.6 will be charged for taking the IVR test and the test may go also 10 to 15 mints provided there should be connectivity between the two lines.
                                6. Whereas If the Phone is charged Rs.6 for every attempt and not connected, then how do you expect us to try whether we will get connected to test or we would be just paying Rs. 6 for every attempt.
                                7. In what way it is Justifyable?? Pls let me know it clearly from your management.
                                8. I am attaching the detail summary of calls are being charged for the every attempt of your IVR number[protected]. Pls Go though the same and come to conclusion. Pls see the Trailing Mail.
                                9. How the People will try and deleberately knowing that Rs.6 will be charged for every attempt with out knowing that this call will get connected or not.
                                10. Now we have decided not to try further this IVR Number as we do not know whether this will get connected and we have to pay Rs. 6 for every attempt and so far we have been already charged Rs.1656 for dialing this number and to hear "Try Later". The Call get cut at 23 seconds.
                                I would like to get the suitable remedial action from your side and I would like to know what would be your further necessary action to solve my problem.
                                Based on the above I would initiate the further necessary interest.

                                It is obvious that the telecom operators will collect the money from the parents of children who want to participate and give a part of it to HDFC which will distribute a fraction of it to a few thousand students in the form of scholarships. The remaining amount will be shared by HDFC and the telecom operators. Thus the parties likely to profit most are the telecom opertors and HDFC. This is not charity. This game is just like a lottery, where the prize money is collected from the purchasers of the tickets and only a part of it is spent on prize money. This is a wholesale fraud method to cheat innocent children. It is better that parents donate their time, effort and money to some other cause rather than fill the coffers of the telecom companies. How can HDFC be party to such a game? How much money HDFC is contributing from its own funds? If HDFC does not agree with this they should come out with the economics of the project.

                                This is to inform that I have registered my son Ravish.B.S for HDFC Meritus Scholarship test, He took the first after repeated calls where in each time advertisement were received, then we got the intimation that he is qualified for II round for which, I received 3 mails on 16th, 17th and 18th April for taking the II round test. When we attempted to take the test on 17th, 19th and 21st April through registered telephone number. We are receiving the message that they will inform to taket the test afterwards and also some unnecessary messages and some advertisements are received during the call. This is complete violation of some trust we had about professionalism by HDFC in conducting the test. This is my second complaint earlier in I round also I have faced the problem and I have complained to them with a unsatisfactory reply after many days. As every call is charged at Rs.5, / minute, it is gives an indication that they have designed a system to exploit and make money in this recession time. This is for kind information of public and neccessary action by the bank.

                                  HDFC is is resorting to unfair trade practices by making it unviable to switch loan portfolios by increasing penalty on foreclosre rates.

                                  This is by far the worst private sector housing bank based on this single action. Instead of competing fairly on interest rates based on free market economics thet have now resorted to un-ethical practices.

                                  Is there no way for us to stop HDFC bank? Cannot this complaint be taken suo moto by RBI so that this practice of HDFC can be curtailed.

                                  Please take my advice - NEVER DEAL WITH HDFC. Be it their constant hiking of interest rates/EMI on floating rates & not reducing it at the same pace when the rates reduced along with this latest case o[censored]nfair trade practice should be reason enough.

                                      I have got two wheeler loan from HDFC bank, which was my first mistake in my life. I purchased a new vehicle under two wheeler loan from HDFC bank. After purchasing the vehicle my business got down. I was unable to settle the loan amount on due date but I used to pay after 15 days of my due date. But the HDFC collection centre persons call us more than 20 times in a day. If we pick the phone they will speak with us as they are speaking with a thief. For a business reasons The HDFC bank will provide loan to the peoples with a high interest rates. So I request you all the viewers before getting loan from any bank be ready to go through all the difficulties. And please avoid getting loan from HDFC Bank.

                                      Hey, I faced same problem with HDFC Bank, thats even for single payment...Thy are asking me if you don't able to pay the single payment why did you taken the loan from us. When he called us he told, he is calling from HDFC and used the no 42171044 and 42042753 I don't know whether they are belongs to HDFC Bank or Recovery people...He said his name is Ajay and belongs to Sanjay's Recovery team.

                                        Misleading People and cheating bank

                                        The HDFC bank is also joined in cheating and misleading group with others. during 2006 hdfc bank had debited some amount (Rs.4000) from my sb account without my notice for credit card due. they confirmed me that the amount has been settled and card had been blocked. as a layman i understood that its settled and after 3 years they are sending letter to me by saying that still some due is there and i need to pay. what kind of bank they are....
