[Resolved]  HSBC Bank Account — Un-authorized withdrawal from my HSBC a/c in Noida and unhelpful HSBC officials

Recently while checking my HSBC account online I realized that there had been 3 un-authorized money withdrawls from my account to the tune of Rs 32, 000. This thing has happened in Noida. At first when i complained to the HSBC help line they said that they cannot help as these were ATM withdrawls. Subsequently i asked them to disable my ATM cards.

During the period o[censored]n-authorized withdrawls I was outside India on a job assignment and I had my ATM cards with me. So the possibility of me withdrawing money does not arise.

After this i realized that a packet containing my HSBC powervantage card that had arrived in office while i was on-site was open when it was handed over to me. There was no card inside the packet. Also i had not received any PIN number from HSBC.

I then went to the HSBC bank office to register my complaint. They did accept my complaints but did not allow me to meet the manager. They said that they would try but their attitude was not very good.

They told me that the money had been withdrawn from HDFC ATMs using the HSBC bank ATM cards. I am sure that the person who stole the HSBC powervantage also stole the PIN and then withdrew the money.

The attitude of the HSBC officials in solving this matter is utterly un-helpful. They did not even allow me to meet their manager. It was only when I filed a police complaint and an HSBC official was summoned to the police station that they said they would revert back soon.

Till now I have not received any worthwhile information from HSBC as to how the un-authorised withdrawl took place and who are the culprits.

I have run from pillar to post trying to understand how and who did the un-authorized withdrawl. I wish HSBC Noida was more helpful in helping me retrieve my Hard earned money of Rs 32, 000.

HSBC Bank Account — Bank Account

Hi,

I was using my HSBC ATM Card to withdraw from Canara Bank ATM, I was trying withdraw a amount Rs.10000 and the money was not dispensed but it has been debited in my account, I have submitted a formal companit but bank says they will take 45 days to resolve the issue. Is this the time for getting back the money. What is the procedure to take legal action.

i having nre account in youe bank. due to some reason i want to close that account and i want to open new account in your bank can this is possible for me. or i want both account to be open.guide me..because from your bank one fellow is telling me that you can not be open new account while you having account. thanks

Hi Archana,

It is possible to trace out the culprits who had withdrawn the money in ATM's. Every ATM will have a security cam fixed with DVR, which will record images of the people using the ATM's, Since ATM are in NOIDA. The possibility of having the CCTV in ATM is more.Get your account statement First Note down the Time and Date of the withdrawal and hand over the details to the investigating officer and ask them to check with HDFC Bank ATM CCTV Images of that location.It will be helpful and apart you can also send those details to HDFC Bank would request for them to check the images and handover the details to the local police station.

If this things are not well co-operated. Better Sue your HSBC Officer Sure your grievance will be answered.
