With regarding my credit card no : [protected]

I had taken this credit card on November, 2006. Mostly i had done 10 transactions on this card through out 2 years. Its expiry date is November, 2008. From Feb 2008 onwards i had nevered used my card. Before that they had added extra interest charges on my credit card even i had paid all the amount of transactions. From Feb, 2008 onwards i had phoned sometimes to customer care i told to remove those charges from my credit card account. Customer care executive told that she will deduct those charges. I had never received that revised statement. Though I am getting the statements upto now. Statement amount from 2000 rupees it is reached to 13000 and change. Now it is with recovery department.

Then i had explained to recovery department executive Ms Reshma who had talked to me and she told that she will close this if i pay 1000 rs. And she told that i will receive no dues letter with in 48 hrs. Then i had paid 1000rs with respect to receipt no CPD3 4078394. But now it is 3rd week. I hadn't received that no dues letter. Today one of the recovery departmenet employee called me and he told that i had made insurance on that card and i have to pay 13000 for that. But i never did this. And told that it is with recovery department and he told that if i do not pay then they will make civil case and produce that in court.

I got calls from Delhi Nos are [protected], [protected], [protected].

Please look into this problem as early as possible.

    Thanking You

use to own a HSBC credit card, I use to do regular credit card payment.
But One fine day HSBC stopped sending me the statement, despite og my so many request they never reacted properly, in NOv 2007 I told them I do not want to carry the card anymore Kindly send me the settlement amount as they have charged me unneccessarily intrest on it. I was told the amount which I am payable to bank is Rs, 10, 000/-, I was given the oprtion that 2500/- chq be issued fiest then balance which is 7500/p another chq payment, They never depoisted that chq, despite of my several reminders, to HSBC Noida, their call centre they never listened then one fine they called me and told that please do the stop payment of the chq, I told that kindly return my chq, because stop payment will be charged and in case they (HsBC) depoisted the chq and I dont have that much balance in my accont then chq would be dishonour and I will be ansewerable to the bank. They never returned the cheques THen in Oco 08 they told me to do the settlement I said fine Now I will give you one chq and I want the NO DUES Certificate also they said after the chq is credited in their account I will receive a o balance payment statement then they will issue me a No dues Certificate.
Now I got the NDC in Dec, but the problem is I applied for the car loan in SBI, they said that the CBIL report is negativ as they have wriitten the the legal fees is waived off.

Now I have no idea what to do, where to go, as its not my fault. The bank only gave me a amount and I agreed to pay that amount after paying also I am suffering.

Please help me out on this.

This is to bring in your kind attention that iam getting multiple threat calls from HSBC bank to settle my card no [protected] but I want to bring in your kind attention that I have fully settled this credit card 10 months ago. I have settled my card via settlement letter no FFS/BGE/BGL/NOW/CPD/120408/SR & handed over the cheques via receipt no 0247677. But It is very unfortunate to state that today also at 8:30 I received call from Mr. Vinod[protected] who claimed himself from hsbc legal department & threaten me to send/add my name in defaulters list. He also threatens me to send legal court notice. I have complained so many times to hsbc bank about the statement I m getting every month with false amount but uptill now no action has been taken to sort this.

I have send so many gentle reminders to them but no action has been taken so far.

Here is the summery for reference

            1) I applied for settlement of card [protected] in the month of April 08.
            2) Received call from Sayeed from collections/settlement department who sits in Chennai .
            3) We agreed on settlement of 35, 000 payble in 3 equal installment. Last installment payble date was 30th june 08.
            4) Sayeed informed Hemant[protected] to send settlement letter to me who was from HSBC Bangalore.
            5) Hemant coordinated with Pankaj Puri from hsbc noida & told him to send settlement letter to me in noida.
            6) Pankaj puri[protected] sends me settlement letter through his courier boy names Ajay ([protected])
            Settlement letter no. (FFS/BGE/BGL/NOW/CPD/120408/SR)

I handed over 3 cheques with following details to ajay against receipt number 0247677.

            1) Cheque no. 468139 dated 20th April worth 10, 000
            2) Cheque no. 468140 dated 20th May worth 10, 000
            3) Cheque no. 468141 dated 20th June worth 15, 000

Even after paying my all installment iam keep on getting continuous monthly statements from bank. I spoke with sayeed & hemant several times & reported about this problem but every time they assured me that my card is closed with no pending dues.

I have called & write mail so many times to hsbc but no action has been taken so far & still iam getting calls from bank to make payment on already settled card.

I called several times on[protected] but they said they cannot help me ...they told me to call agency numbers which is for Gaurav girdhar[protected]/02/03/04 & bangalore numbers are Bindu[protected] & Anurup[protected].

Please help me as i cannot take this anymore.

Please allow me to introduce myself my name is Michael Mason-Mahon and I am a shareholder of HSBC Plc. I am based in London.
I was in Mumbai in September where I had a meeting with the CEO of HSBC to raise my concerns about the way HSBC was treating its customers.
I am going to ask the RBI TO DO A FULL INVESTIGATION into HSBC India.
For me to do this I need people that are willing to send their complaints to me and to allow me to forward their complaints, not only to the Board of Directors of HSBC Holdings Plc also to the Governor, Dr. D Subbarao and Shriv.K.Sharma, Executive Director of the Reserve Bank of India to investigate HSBC India as evidence to support the way that (and this is my personal belief) the Bank has breached the Code of Banks Commitment to Customers.

Please help me to help you, if we join together we will be able to make a change in their behaviour (I do hope so).
I have also sent a letter to all Board Directors of HSBC Holdings Plc.
            Reference HSBC India
I refer to the concerns that I raised at the AGM in May concerning the behaviour of HSBC in India. Following my representation of complainants against HSBC India I have found the behaviour by the Bank to be totally unacceptable. This is my personal belief.
            (This is my personal belief.)
I have found that the Bank has failed to comply with the RBI and the Banking Ombudsman Rules and Regulation in the handling of complaints. Also in all the complaints that I have personally handled there was no evidence that the Bank had informed the complainants of their right to take their complaint to the Banking Ombudsman which the Bank was obliged to do under the RBI rules and regulations.

So if you would like to contact me, please send me your complaint in full.

            Kind regards
            Michael

HSBC has a system where every 100 rs spent on the card we get 1 point and similarly I had 6500 points which I had redeemed for shopper's stop and west side gift voucher's between 24th and 27th of Oct 2008. HSBC promised that the gift voucher's will be sent within 3 weeks from the date of request. Its beem more than 2 months now I have not received any vouchers.

Called up the call center and complianed more than 6 times with little luck.

Request you to help me submit a compliant and take necessary actions against the Bank.

HSBC Limited — Issued unwanted policy and fraud in settlement

              Dear Sir,

This is with regards to my Credit Card No. [protected]. It was issued to me on June 09, 2008. After receiving the credit card your executive has ask me to purchase a Mediclaim policy of Tata AIG Life which I refused to purchase because I have many policies with me. Even they have sent me policy without any written / verbal request for the policy.

When I came to know about that I ask them to close the matter, instead of cancelling the policy they forced me to make payment for the same which I have not used. They regularly started sending me payment statement and they continued to charge late fees in every statement.

After many complaints and calls to Customer care your executive told me that they will charge an amount of Rs. 100/- and they will close my account and matter and I will not get any call / statement from HSBC.

On[protected] your executive Mr. Pradeep Kumar came to me & they have charge me Rs. 100/- against your ‘Customer Care Receipt No. CPD3’ from the firm Info vision slip no. AA 0009941 another no. which is on slip was 0497050.

I was relaxed that all the settlement has been done at your end but it was another fraud with me from your bank. After some time when I have applied for a loan, I found my name in CIVIL. My loan application was got rejected. Now my case was coming to recovery department. I have starting receiving calls from the recovery dept to pay them Rs. 1000/- and they will close the matter and provide me the NOC.

As the card is not swapped by me for a single time and I have not even applied for the mediclaim policy why my name is in CIVIL. It is creating lot of problem with me. I am using other Credit Cards from last 4-5 years and not facing any problem as I deal with your bank.

You are requested to close the matter and issue me NOC at the earliest.

I will be highly thankful to you.

              With warm regards,
              Ankur Sharma

I have takes loan from HSBC Bank around 4 year ago at the 7.75% after the lot of ROI iteration from RBI it touches the upper limit 13.75%, Now problem is this they peoples still are not ready to reduce the Home loan rate, There should be an authority he suppose to review these kind of ir-regularity from the banks. Recently RBI reduce the PLR twice still HSBC bank in not ready to reduce the rate of interest from 13.75% . couple of the national banks already reduced the ROI by 2-3%. One more interesting stuff i want to discuss on this form, they are offering the loan to the new customers at around 12% irrespective of the loan amount.

We are help less. These all foriegn banks has come to play with our
country laws. They are playing with our poor people.
Because other nationalise banks are reducing rate of interest. Why thes all Foreign banks are not following the RBI instruction?. There must be some flaws which they are taking advantage of it.
I am having the same problem with HSBC. Currently my ROI is 13.25% and HSBC is saying that they have no definite time period in mind by which they would be reducing the ROI. I am feeling helpless. Please advice to whom should I go or report this
i am agree with the others. As hsbc at the time of increase of interest rate on home loan they are
IN FIRST, but at the time of reducing it they are not doing that. They are all playing a trick with the
people of INDIA. I will further advice to others not to take HOME Loan from this very bank
Totally agree. Am also facing the same problem. They are not even ready to reduce the interest rate by even 0.5%!!

                What options we have?
HSBC is a third rate bank for a home loan and I'm paying 13.75% too. I think the only way for us to give them as much negative publicity as possible and inform all your friends and contacts never to take a home loan from HSBC. Unfortunately RBI does not help consumers like us who are stuck with banks like HSBC
I face same problem paying 13.75 percent interest rate and bank is just not ready to listen on comparison point with other banks. Switch over to other banks is too tedious and time consuming task specially if you want to switch to PSU banks. Are there any agencies who specialize in in home loan switchover to PSU banks and is there a way to complain against HSBC malpractices.
Yes, switching is the only option. I have already started talking to different banks.
I too had a home loan with HSBC, but after seeing their swiftness in hiking the interest rate I switched over to Union Bank of India, PSU after a little running around. The interest rate at HSBC was 12.5% whereas at UBI it was 11% in August 2008. Now the interest rate at UBI is 9%. I am glad I did the switchover, as I shall recover the expenses within one year due to savings in the interest, the loan tenure decreased from 25 years to 15 years with EMI less than HSBC!
my husband and I face the same problem with HSBC. The rate of interest is high regardless of the ROI. We bought a home 5 years ago and after repeated request they finally reduced our rate of interest, only to bring it up again a month later. It seems to me that the rate of interest increases automatically and gets reduced only on request. The long process of arguing your way into a lower rate of interest is too tiresome for us to try again.

There are countless other problems with other HSBC accounts...but that for another day.

Hsbc, as it seems, works with absolutely no regard in their customer's interest. I am surprised that in 2010, they can get away with it. I wonder what their sustainability plan is - steal as much money from your customer today, so we can deal with the lawsuits of the future. OR steal as much money from your customers today because there won't be many in the future.

It is not as shocking as it is sad really.

what is even sadder is that nothing can be done to protect its customers. once you are lured into their bank...getting out is not easy. You would have to pay your way out. Its a trap one way or the other. A switch to another bank may seem expensive and tedious, but, it is well worth it in the long run.

It is the worst bank i have ever banked with. Best advice to friends ...is to just stay away

HSBC Bank — Interest on HOme Loan

Dear Sir, letter dated 10th December, 2010 of HSBC says, the home loan interest is reduced by 9.75% and the rate is applicable from 9th December. Even I received 2 calls from phone banking officer of HSBC asking for the confirmation of the interest rate. which I confirmed verbally.

Today I received another letter, which says, home loan interest rate is increased @ 11.75% and the rate is applicable from 15th December. For this I have not received confirmation call from bank. Without my confirmation, HSBC increased the rate.

In the past also they increased the home loan rate without intimating me and when wrote to RBI Obatsuman, they replied to my query.

Please help me on this issue.

                awaiting your earliest reply.

Also keep a track on how much interest and loan ammount u r paying back..

I had faced a problem like after paying for 5 years, I tried to takeover the loan from HSBC to a Nationalized back.

Loan amount which i had taken was 11 Lakhs floating interest
Final settlement after 5 years is 11.50 Lakhs.

                You may wonder by true

I have settled my HSBC credit card account for an amount of 40000/- and also received a settlement letter. The letter clearly mentioned that if I pay the said dues before 30/08/2008 my account with them will be deemed closed. They have confirmed the receipt of 40000/- however the HSBC phone banking executives still maintain that my account is not closed and that the payment received by them is not for settlement but for my regular dues. I still receive calls from collection agencies for outstanding amount every month and I always fax the copy of settlement letter to satisfy (read: get rid of) them. this has been going on from August till date. I need to know what can be done regarding this. Please help.

HSBC Credit Card — Settlement is done but still it is showing outstanding

My HSBC credit card no is [protected]. My name is aseem gupta. Due to some dispute on outstanding in Jan'09, we have done the settlement on the credit card in July'09 by paying Rs. 2000 (Rs. 150 by cash + Rs. 1850 by cheque against settlement letter from bank). I have got the letter from the bank for the settlement and no dues left on me. I was told that i will receive the statement showing no outstanding. But every month i receive the SMS and online statement with the increased outstanding. After my objection, i was asked the copy of the settlement letter and then they ensured that the statement will be updated immidiately. But to my surprise in the next statement, they have deducted the settlement amount from the outstanding and keep on sending the bill.

Now on 19th oct'09, i have received the letter from the bank asking for making the outstanding payment otherwise my name will be sent to the CIBIL defaulters list.

Can you please help me in solving this issue. nobody in HSBC seems to be working, they are just transferring calls.
even i have the same situation...I dont know how can they do this...
I am also facing the same problem. I got the credit card but never used it. Last year i submitted the request for closure. The account was closed by giving 1000 rs since there were no dues pending and the card was destoryed by them at HSBC borivali branch.we got a call for paying the dues and when we told them we have closed the account and the settlement is done they say that payment received by them is not for settlement but for my regular dues..and from last year they have piled up the interest on it to 9000rs.Eveyday we get calls for the settlement. and executives say that if not done they will pass this information to siebel.now after goin thru ur case i think even if i go for the setlement of dues which i have never spent, whats the guarentee that my acc will be closed.
This company is real dacoit disguised in a professional way. wud advice ppl not to go for the HSBC credit card.

I sent to you my greviences via my letter dated 11.2.09 on 12th/13th of this month with a copy endorsed to Sh.K.C.Mahesh, Manager, Credit Card Services, Ambai House, Anna Salai, Chennai; but so far neither I have received any reply either from your office or office of sh. Poor response by your customer care centre towards my repeated calls has been deailed in my said letter dated 11.2.09.

The above attitude of officials of a bank like HSBC towards its old & valuable customer is not desirable. I request & solicit for a telephonic call on my mobile [protected] from you immediately.

                    DEAR SIRS,
ATTITUDE OF HSBC TOWARDS CUSTOMERS' COMPLIAINTS IS MOST CALLOUS & UNDESIRABLE, AS IS EVIDENT FROM THE FACT THAT MY COMPLAINT DATED 11.2.09 HAS NOT BEEN EVEN ACKOWLEDGED TILL DATE, INSPITE OF CONVEYING MY COMMENTS TWICE. ONLY GOD/HSBC KNOWS ABOUT ITS FATE.
SHOULD IT BE PRESUMED THAT HSBC IS TOTALLLY DEAF AND DUMB?
THE LETTER IS BEING WRITTEN IN CAPITAL LETTERS SO THAT IT COMES TO THE NOTICE OF THE CONCERNED STAFF OF HSBC.

                    D.K.BINDRA
Even am facing the same problem. It seems the Customer care department of HSBC is for name sake & never bothers about the customers. Within my Company (World Leader in IT) i posted a small blog & was surprised to get 78 people (within 3 days) responses having similar problem with HSBC. We are planning to take a joint action against HSBC's harrassment.

Mr Bindra, we would like you to be a part of it.

HSBC call centre/recovery agents from Noida have been calling me fom last one month. They say that I have an outstanding balance of more than Rs. 1, 00, 000/- on an HSBC credit card and the card has been blocked. But the fact is that I never had an HSBC credit card, I never had any type of account with HSBC bank and I have never contacted any personal from HSBC bank. In short I have never had any sort of relationship with HSBC bank.

They have my information in their database. From this information, only my official information is correct. It is not at all difficult to obtain my official information as it is present on a number of websites (job portals) like Timesjobs.com, Monster.com and Naukri.com!
I am continuosly telling them that either they are mistaken or somebody has done a fraud. I want them to verify all the documents that they have corresponding to this credit card. The documents like Photo Id proof, signed photograph, salary slip, passport xerox, signature etc.

To add on to this I have never recieved any mail, email or an sms from HSBC bank. Instead of mentally harrasing me why are they not veryfing the residential address where they have delivered the credit card and where they have send all the bills.

The credit card number as told by the recovery agent is [protected].

                        Sir,

                        Sir,

I miss. Geeta S.Thali (Manjrekar) was an employee of HSBC since 9 January 2002 till 30 April 2006. I then moved to CitiFinancial from May 2008 till 20 July 2007. In the interim I had transferred my HSBC PF to CitiFinancial by filling up Form 13 in June 2007.
On confirmation from HSBC it was informed that the funds have been transferred to regional PF centre on a/c no. DL/19961/6153 on 2 October 2006

I have currently quit CitiFinancial due to health problems and had applied for PF withdrawal at CitiFinancial and the same was processed after 8 months. Following are the details of the withdrawal of CitiFinancial PF. This amount does not include HSBC PF which was transferred to regional PF.

                        Cheque no. Date Amount
                        227177 9/4/2008 Rs.42, 224/-
                        679000 9/4/2008 Rs. 6, 630/-

Please find herewith the details of the PF transferred from HSBC to regional PF centre.
The PF transfer letter from HSBC, PF Statement, cheque no.628020 of INR 143309.77 dated 7 September 2006 in favour of RPFC, Nehru Palace, New Delhi a/c no. DL/19961/6153.

Its two years from the date of transfer that still I have not received my PF funds which have been transferred from HSBC to Regional PF centre. I have been following up continuously with CitiFinancial for the same but they have no reply. They only confirm that they have not received any funds.

I had further filled up another set of ASR forms as per request and was dispatched to Delhi tand the same were received and acknowledged by RPFC on 26 June 2006. The receipt no of the same is 28438527 These forms were to be utilized for claiming PF deposited at RPFC. The same is still not been worked upon and my amount has been stuck. I am in urgent need of this money as I am unable to move.

I have also filled up the rights to information form and submitted to RPFC. I have not receiveed any reply for the same.

I request you to kindly help me out in getting my funds which have been deposited in your regional PF office.

                        Regards

                        Geeta

I have a HSBC masterdard for over 7 years with an excellent rating never having delayed/ skipped paying in time. Recently posted a check 4 days in advance only to discover in next bill an atrocious 50% late and finance charges, and no amount of convincing the customerservice agents was useful and am now complaining to the bank ombudsman for grievance redressal. Never go for HSBC credit card- my sincere advise.

I am having a dispute with HSBC Bank over my credit card # [protected] since last two years now. The bank stopped providing me credit card statements from Nov, 06 onwards and therefore I had no means of determining the amount payable to the bank. I kept on reminding the bank about the statement, but no action was taken. The bank has now been imposing interest and delayed payment charges for no fault of mine and wants me to get into settlement which says the amount in indeed payable by me and my name will be blacklisted against the credit rating agencies. Furthermore, the agents have been calling me on a daily basis which are pressurizing me to make the payment against above settlement letter. Moreover, these guys are very abusive espically the one calling from number [protected]. I am ready to make the payment at one go provided I get a confirmation from the bank that the interest and delayed payment charges were inaccurate and my name will not be blacklisted amogst other credit agencies.

I am not mad to provide 6 cheques on a day, by myself (and non of it bounced, all got cleared. following are the details of the cheque :

                              1) 25/03/[protected]corporation bank[protected] Rs. 4, 400/-

This is a serious blunder keeping customer's money and not allowing it to spend/return. Even when we ask them to cancel the card they are turning deaf ear. Anyone calling the customer care no will ave to old phone for over 1 hour !!

                                  Dear Sir,
I have a credit card relationship with HSBC Bank for past more than five years. The credit card ac no was [protected] this acount was renewed with a new account number [protected]. But at no given point of time was I communicated that the Old account no has not to be used for payments. Now this time on the 1st of dec 2008 when I did a cash payment of 30000 Rupees I put in the old account no (deposit slip attached and send to HSBC customer service dept). Now as this was and still is my account itself the payment should have reflected cause previously i have done the same thing and my account gets credited. Even while depositing the money I asked the cashier about the authencity of the account which I got a positive answer from her. Now I am calling the customer executive informing them I have paid in the old account number all of them say due to system upgradtion we cant view the account and dont worry we will get back to you, I had also been to the powai branch for help and they said that the money is deposited in the account and its only the customer service dept will help you but all is in vain. The only thing happened I put in the old account number but the account is in my name itself. Then why cant it be credited in the new account which is the extension of the same old account.

Still today I am only just following up and calling them but didnt get any positive response on the contary they just ask for grace periods. I am getting charged for interest rates and late payment fees for no fault of mine.

I hope so you have understood my problem and I also attached in mail the scan copy deposit slip as well as of both the card which shows expiry date of 2011.

                                  Regards

                                  Anthony

There was a offer of 10% cash back on purchase of any electronic goods. At that time they have not mentioned any condition or list of shops. I purchased a mobile. Whrn i asked for 10 % cashback they said that the seller doesn't qualify thaier conditions so cashback cant be done. I complaint them every time they say we will come back to you in two days . and after that hey reply the same thing that seller doesn't qualify.
Its been more than six month but nothing has been done.

I have a Gold card given by HSBC. In the month of October I delayed making the payment by a day and the bank chared me a penalty of Rs 6350 + Taxed. This is inspite the fact that i have never delayed my payments to them over the past 5 years. Had the bank charged me 200 - 300 rupees, I would have felt bad but would have paid. Now, I am disgusted and cancelled my card. This is precisely the reason for bad debts as customers get competely pissed of at the behavior of the banks.
I have taken Personal loan from this bank and the day one itself i applied for ECS With my ABN AMRO bank but never the ECS Works and every month they try to call me and ask me to pay by cash to in their bank and after i pay it also they use to call me and send sms that my payment is not done and when i ask why my ECS is not working they say my ABN AMRO account is not existing where as its still exist and i even approched 3 time to the bank abt it and spoken to the manager my self again i submited the ECS form signed by the ABN AMRO and when i ask ABN AMRO they say nothing from HSBC is hitting my account for ECS and HSBC say every month they send for ECS and the bank say it doesnt exist and this HSBC Bank Doesnt Care for the coustmer even with creditcard even i pay my credit card bill by issuing check in the HSBC outlet and they call me after due date and say that the payment is not done and send their agent to collect minum amount and they again charge late fee too. Please i Advise to all those who want to go with Credit card or Loan dont go with this bank pls choose someother bank
                                    Regards
                                    Prem

I had a HSBC GOld credit card, I had requested to close this card in 2005. I was not using this card since that. I was on the same address till Dec 2006. Never received any statement till that, so that I thought bank has closed the card. in Dec 2008 I received a call from delhi from one of the collection agency of HSBC. claiming that I have soem out standing on the card. I asked to provide me statement, he started using abusive languaeg. After that I requested to bank to provide me statement in writing, I have received statement after 6 weeks till that I had paid the ammount for which he was asking for. After receiving the statement I found that Bank has applied Rs 2000 as annual charges per year and the ammount had became 16000+.
All I just paid for the annual charges and nothing else. When I spoke to the bank they were just showing that bank is trying to help me and no need to pay if the charges are just annual charges. But no one helped me.

On 05/December i recieved a call on behalf of HSBC from Noida branch, the person was stating himself as the assitant manager of the HSBC.
Actually, i was having an overdue amount of 6000/-. He told me that i am having this much outstanding and including the charges you need to pay an amount of Rs. 40, 000/-. I asked him for full and final settlement, he settled it at Rs.22, 000/-.
The person told me to submit the money on saturday. I went to Lucknow, but the bank was not working but i met the Manager there . I called the person and let the bank manager talk to the person so as to conform his identity. Manager confirmed us that he is my friend and i know him well. After that he told me to submit the amount to the vendor and in the HSBC bank a vendor came and took the money and gave me a reciept.
But, now i am trying to contact the person, he is not responding at all. Except this reciept i don't have anything.Even he declined from giving me the statement.
So, its my humble request to look into the matter and respond me immediately.
