The complaint is marked as resolved when a company has responded to the complainant, addressed his or her dissatisfaction, and came to an agreement where both parties agreed that the complaint is indeed resolved. However, a complaint can be automatically marked as resolved if a complainant isn't responding or updating a complaint for 30 days after the company has tried to reach the complainant.

Settlement letter received, but card still shows outstanding.

I have settled my HSBC credit card account for an amount of 40000/- and also received a settlement letter. The letter clearly mentioned that if I pay the said dues before 30/08/2008 my account with them will be deemed closed. They have confirmed the receipt of 40000/- however the HSBC phone banking executives still maintain that my account is not closed and that the payment received by them is not for settlement but for my regular dues. I NEVER HAD OR APPLIED FOR ANY HSBC CREDIT CARD OR ANY OTHER PRODUCT OF HSBC BANK

HSBC call centre/recovery agents from Noida have been calling me fom last one month. They say that I have an outstanding balance of more than Rs. 1, 00, 000/- on an HSBC credit card and the card has been blocked. But the fact is that I never had an HSBC credit card, I never had any type of account with HSBC bank and I have never contacted any personal from HSBC bank. In short I have never had any sort of relationship with HSBC bank.

Overcharging and overbilling

I have a HSBC masterdard for over 7 years with an excellent rating never having delayed/ skipped paying in time. Recently posted a check 4 days in advance only to discover in next bill an atrocious 50% late and finance charges, and no amount of convincing the customerservice agents was useful and am now complaining to the bank ombudsman for grievance redressal. Never go for HSBC credit card- my sincere advise....

Threatening and abusive calls from HSBC

I am having a dispute with HSBC Bank over my credit card # [protected] since last two years now. The bank stopped providing me credit card statements from Nov, 06 onwards and therefore I had no means of determining the amount payable to the bank. I kept on reminding the bank about the statement, but no action was taken. The bank has now been imposing interest and delayed payment charges for no fault of mine and wants me to get into...

Fleecing the customer

I have a Gold card given by HSBC. In the month of October I delayed making the payment by a day and the bank chared me a penalty of Rs 6350 + Taxed. Now, I am disgusted and cancelled my card. This is precisely the reason for bad debts as customers get competely pissed...
