[Resolved]  India Today Book Club — My membership No:[protected] Complaint regarding the non delivery of book and other items

With reference to the above, I would like to bring it to your kind notice that so far I have not received the book entitled INDIAN BOOK OF TREASURES, though I have made payment of Rs 2998=00 through cheque no 815020 Vijaya bank, MSRIT Branch, Mattikere, Bangalore, Karnataka on[protected]. The amount of Rs 2998=00 has been debited to my account already.

I have contacted customer care Delhi several times but none of the staff is bothered to check about it. I am fed up of your bad service to the customer like us and after making payment we have to call you umpteen times to know the status.

Therefore I request your good self to kindly look into the matter and see that the above items are delivered immediately.I have already sent a similar complaint to [protected]@bagittoday.com and so far nothing has been heard from them. Otherwise I shall be constrained to take up the matter to the consumer grievances cell for the delayed and non delivery of the goods.

India Today Book Club — Debiting my credit card without sending ordered material

The ITBC offered Jeeves and Wooster DVDs in their August 2008 issue.
I placed an order for eleven DVDs and my credit card was charged Rs 2640 for the items on 6-Sep-2008.
I did not receive the material. On enquiry in end September and again early October I was promised delivery 'in two weeks' each time. On enquiry on Nov 10 I was informed that the items were out of stock.
Yet in the Nov 10 and 17 issues of India Today the same Group is advertising for the same products!
I am yet to get refund of the amount illegally charged to my Credit card.
How can the party charge my credit card for a product they claim is out of stock?

India Today Book Club — No response

Hi,
I had applied for the booksbuddy pack program, after receiving a mail through123 greetings, on 17 Sept, and on 17 Oct I received a mail through post with the certificate of distinction, along with the jackets of the books that I would receive.
But till today the 24th Nov. I have not received the books that they have been saying is on its way through msgs on my cell.
Please let me know if they are genuine or not, as there is no other way of contacting them through mail as it has come through 123 greetings.

I strongly protest that till date I have not yet received my running year
free gifts.

I have several times called at your customer care asking about my free gift.
They have only taken my requests and had always assured that same will be

ICICI bank issued a credit card me, after some time bank load the Rs 250 rs in my credit card on Aug, 08, After the reload of Amount i made a purchase of more than 1500 from pantaloon outlets Hazrat ganj. Total bill amount on the above card in the same month was Rs.1518/, which was paid by me in same month. but i shoked bank has done the reversal of preload amount of Rs 250/ in the statement of sept 22, 2008. In whach rule Bank reload the aforesaid amount in my card in which rule bank reversal the reload amount when i totally repaid the bill amount. I also talk customer care department but he could tell me anything about the reversal amount on my card therefore you are requested that the mentioned problem should be rectified on top priority basis as earliest as possible.

It is for your kind information that after loading the amount of rs. 250/ I contacted customer care telphonically he insure me you can spent this money with the mininmum purchase of Rs 1000, so i spent the money and clear the dues of credit card bill in one time why card statements does not shows the about the mininmum purchase of Rs 2500/ in the same statement and reversal of relaod shows in the next statements as a valuable customer i also a gold card of your bank i have never phase such type of problem. why you hestitate me and give me valuable suggessation so i clear the above problem,

India Today Book Club — Order Booked but no response

I got an email from India today book club on 20 Feb, 2009, wherein they mentioned that I have won a PRIVILEGE Voucher worth Rs 3000 in our computerised system of nomination through e-mail ids.

So I got a bit selfish and one of my friend pampered me to buy that. So I finally made a payment of rupees 2150 on 20th Feb to Living Media India Ltd. DELHI whose online reference no. is 74477489053009381698084.

Now after I booked it, The page which displayed the confirmation was not having the OrderID on it and neither the amount I have paid. And since then I am trying to contact those guys but no one is responing. I tried calling their phone nos. numerous times but either they dont pick up or they put me on hold for 10-15 mins. And then they. "Sorry Sir, we are not able to find your reference".

I have given them my credit card statement which clearly says the money debited into their account. but there is literally no response from those guys.

So I will really suggest that you should never ever take anything from such guys, and if someone has got it I will consider them as Lucky, but remember everyone who is born, is not born with golden spoon. So this can happen to anyone.

Indiatodaybookclub/Watches & Track Suit — Non Delivery of Items (2 Orders)

My first order was for two watches.

• The second watch was not yet delivered.

My second order was for track suit set Value: Rs. 3198.

• Items are not yet delivered.


I am tired of sending e-mails and calling of the Customer Service and talking for hours . Everytime they ask me wait for another 15 days. The BlueDart tracking number, [protected], provided was false.
I suggest that we, all the victims of this fraud should come together under a banner say "Association of victims of India today book club fraud" and stage a protest in front of their office and ensure coverage by media. This will bring in adverse publicity and also war public from entering in to any deals with them. We have paid the money and have to recover the worth from them and let go so easily.

I had ordered for a REEBOK trainer kit online, the amount for which has been deducted from mu account.
The kit has not been delivered yet at my postal address.

There are 2 compllaints from me.
1. The below mentioned complaint. I had rang up to find the status of my double cheque debit, and got reply that it is returned to my bank account. I have only one Corporation Bank Card from where I made payment. And till yesterday updated passbook I do not find your cheque in my bank. Kindly look into it whom you had payment.

2. I have booked holiday voucher for Rs. 2,598/- with you. But you have sent me books, instead. On phone information was given and it is not working.

Above 2 complaints were lodged to them but till date not received reply.

India Today Book Club — No delivery of goods and no refund of money since last 1 and haf years

I made an online purchase of Rs. 200 in the mid of february month of the last year but i never get its delivery. I contacted this company and their representatives also. But unfortunately i did not get any satisfactory reply. They kept on saying that we have delivered but no body collected the product and hence it was taken back. I requested them that it is not possible. I asked this organization if they ahve any proofs of the same. I wen to local post office and inquired from there also but they said me that there is no such delivery at their side. And even they did not have any receipt also for the same. I called the customer care for number of times and i kept getting reply that they/ concern dept will get back to me which never happened. I wasted lot of time and money. I went to their Delhi office as well but there is nobody to listen to me. I also asked them if they can return my money and again i got the same reply that they will get back to me. It is not about the money and hence I left this issue as i will not get justice also i regreted myself that i can't stop these people to cheat others. Finally after 1 and half year, I thought to log a complaint against it in consumer forum.

India Today Book Club — Product not delivered and ICICI Emi started

Ordered 2 Philips Home theatre system around 40 days back. they sent it thru bluedart but consignment went back from bahragoda as they didnt provide challan to bluedart. didnt get product till date. they didnt even inform by any means about latest update. finally i asked icici bank credit card to stop payment. they also didnt cooperate. they said deal is done. finally they have taken up the dispute but asked for 51 days time. they have blocked the amount in my credit card account. Please do needful. I have decided to take both of them to consumer forum. they keep sending sms that I missed the delivery but this is not the case . they ask to call to delhi number. when, called, they keep on hold and there is no reply.

i have orederd a book on 15.12.2009 by using my credit card, still now i cannot received the ordered book from india today book club, and the amount Rs2199/- is debited from my credit card.

I want the current status of the ordered book.

India Today Book Club — Refund not received after returned the product to INDIA Today book

I have purchased the 12 Books from INDIA Today Book Club online those book are already returned to INDIA Today book club on date 24 Aug 09 with invoice & reason.

because as it came with an offer for holiday package and air tickets for a couple. I told the telesales person that I am Single; he convinced me and said the offer can be availed with family members as well.

The information provided by the Telesales person was incorrect, as, now when I am trying to avail the offer and want to go for the holiday package with my parents, your executives are telling me it can’t be availed with anyone else except my Spouse.

I am still waiting for refund amount that is Rs.2598 & that transaction was made by HDFC Credit Card.
