[Resolved]  Indian Railways — HARRASSMENT BY RAILWAY BOOKING STAFF

Dear sir,
I was issued Rly. warrant from mumbai to Delhi and back, to attend some urgent official meetings, at mumbai it was exchanged but when I went to the ticketing counter at Sarai Rohilla it was not honoured saying that since name of station written in railway warrant was Delhi to Mumbai and it was told by booking clerk that there is no rly station by the name of Mumbai hence it can not be honoured. but it is obvious that all the station (Bandra, Dadar, Mumbai central, borivali etc) comes in mumbai only. Even I met Supervisor Mr. Surender singh who also refuse to honour it saying that if we will honour it there will be audit objection . Eventhough everything was okey but they refused to honoured even the destination was clearely written. if there are multiple stations in a particular city then any of the station will serve the purpose. Due to the refusal by the railways it cause a lot of invonvienence to me. This was due to foolishness of that particular railway staff. I have faced this kind of problem in delhi only, hence i hope necessary instructions will be issued through ur good office in this regard . Thaks with regards MC LAKHERA

Indian Railways — Forced to exchange reserved seats by TC

My self Ranjana sharma and i was tarvelling in 5635/Guwahati Express on 12th june2009 with my elder sister Ahmedabad to Varanasi. My reservation confirmed seat no. was B3/56 and 55, , and we had a heavy luggage, one TC(sharma) had come near Barodara Station near abt 10 PM and asked for ticket we gave him for checking than he said to moved on birth no. 61 and 63 than i politely said to him my birth is already confirmed and having heavy luggage so cant be able to shift, then TC was replied badly and rudly and forced us to shift and he said this is happenning in train u will have to move else refund ur ticket in next station and leave the train.
Next morning on 13th june 2009 at Kota station another TC (H.R. Minar)had come for checking the ticket and surprisingly he asked us for change our seats and go back to same seats.

Is this the way to treat to the girls with heavy luggage asking them to move from seat to seat despite of having confirmed reservation if there is any justice left in ur department the least u must do is to train ur staff how to behaved with ladies. We have spent lots of, money and confirmed ticket was the guarantee from ur depratment for safe and convenient journey but railways uanable to delivered what they promised with the people.

Indian Railways — Harrassment caused due to change of end station without prior information.

Sir
I reserved my seat in jammu mail 4033A for 20 june 2009
from delhi (DLI) to hoshiarpur (HSX) with pnr no. [protected]. At (5.00 AM) jalandhar city (JUC) we all going to hoshiarpur were told to get down from the train saying that it will not go to hoshiarpur. And after we asked the reasons we were told that this train is not going to hoshiarpur ever since the curfew in the city. I was shocked that without any information our tickets are being booked till hoshiarpur. Now we all stood on the platform searching for the alternatives(no buses were available at 5 in the morning). We were told that there is a train from ambala to amritsar coming and on that we can go to jalandhar cant. and from there there will be a train to hoshiarpur at 7. Jalandhar city to cant. train was general class and was crowded hardly finding a space to stand. The same case was with train to hoshiarpur. I would point out the carelessness of the indian railways in this kind of matter.
Thank you.

Yours sincerely

I researved ticket for 2314 rajdhani on 21jun09, dt of journey 19 sep 09, got W/L-7, where as seat availability on that date was showing 143 on AC III tier. My Boarding Stn is New Delhi and upto Durgapur. My PNR is[protected]. My request is to find out what is the actual fault in my reservation and which one is true.
Dear sir,

One of my unexpected experience in train. I was waiting for train (6294) in Virudhunagar junction but unfortunately they announced train will be arriving in 1st platform . There we got more tensed since we were standing in 2nd platform and we rushed to the the other platform . While asking the person standing near by, we came to know that the announcement made by a man was wrong and for past one month he used to do that. Moreover his voice is also not clear. Sooner we rushed to the previous platform. Like us many missed the train too. So, please take necessary steps by changing the person or by taking any actions sooner...

with truthfully,
they should improve their service and reliability

I could not board the train as the train departure was rescheduled. The train was suppose to leave at
11.30 opm n 13 Jan 09 but it sems that it departed at 5.30 am on 14 Jan 09. I wanted to cancel the ticket because such a timing was not at all suitable to me. The cancellation was not accepted at irctc site when I tried doing so after the departure. The rule says if the train has been rescheduled, the full amount should be refunded. I have filed the TDR with Railways some 5 months back and I have still not got my refund. This has caused me enough mental stress and have wasted good amount of money in following up with Railways but all in vain.

Indian Railways — Tiles on Goregaon bridge worn out

It's hardly been a month since new tiles been fixed on the bridge at Goregaon, most of them have already worn out. I'm surprised with the quality of work being carried out.

It's disappointing to learn that the Railways makes use our taxes for such shoddy work.

Indian Railways — Refund Against non working AC during the travel

Dear Sir,

I want to file a complaint against Indian Railways for PNR no. [protected], DOJ - 4th Aug 09, Train No 2056.

I have to face severe inconvinience due to the non working AC during my travel from Haridwar to New Delhi. During the Journey, Ticket Checker made a refund memo which he claimed to be refunded from any where within days. When we went to the Noida railway booking centre, supervisor told that teh refund can be claimed within 20 hours that too from the Destination station (i.e. New Delhi).

We want our refund for the cause which is not our fault whereas we faced inconvenience due to it. We hope not to repest such experiences with Indian Railways in Future.

Enclosures : A copy of memo.

Regards,
Suman Anand
