[Resolved]  LEXI Pens Pvt. Ltd — Unprofessional display in process of Interview

Hi All,

I had received an email from Lexi pens for a job interview for the post of Business analyses manager, though even before leaving for the interview I confirmed by calling Ritu & Namita, I was asked to come for the interview as the post was vacant. I made the call around 10:30am after several attempts to contact Ritu & Namita to confirm regarding the interview. It seemed all the time I called from morning they were in meeting and got to speak to Namita at last. After spending, travelling two hours and waiting half hour in their office I was informed that the post is filled. When I insisted to see the person and confirm the same Ms. Namita merely just walked in, as though doing a favour and took an interview. When asked why I was informed that the post is full she said 'Oh, yes it got filled in morning.' So why had she taken my interview I asked on which she replied that just in case they need me again. I don’t understand the motive behind the interview. Why was I called on the first place, for an interview?
Why the hell was I then asked to come? Is this the way to ask people to come for an interview?
I spent my time, energy, and money which isn’t less for me. As a company I think it’s more of a fashion world out there, where ladies are more interested in catwalk than work & certainly they have a lousy memory or a short term memory loss, as they don’t remember what they discuss within an hour. It’s a miracle that being in HR they can’t keep a track of their basic JOB RESPONSIBILITY! Please find the attached email which was sent to me by the same.

Lexi is indeed one of the worst companies to work with.
Reason is simple, boss is too arrogant to handle. He treats his employees like he is doing a big favor on them by employing them !!! That is the reason why no one with experience would ever want to work here. He might have achieved big in his life but that is no reason to get drunk every evening in the office !!! His son is a bigger mess. Even the slightest of IQ is missing.
This company has strict hire and fire policy. They need no reason to fire you. Today you are working here, tomorrow you might not. So be prepared.
An open letter to Ritu and the HR team at Lexi Pens

Hi Ritu,

I came across this link on the web. Do not know if you have read it yet. Please go through the same if you have the time.

Well, I send you this link, because I too faced a similar discomfort at your organistaion. I too felt that you are extremely unorganised. For example. I was called for the second round of interview.. but you guys didn't have a hard copy of my CV. When the first inteview was conducted I had submitted a copy of the CV and Namita who conducted the interview had scribbled a few things on my CV. So I expected that you would have a copy of it.

Secondly, you send me a mail on Friday around 5.30 pm asking me to walk in for an interview at 3.00 pm on Friday or 11 am on Saturday. How can you expect a person to walk in at 3.00 pm, if you send a mail at 5.00 pm.

And lastly, you gave me an offer and a days time to think over and confirm. And when I confirm the next day, I am told that the position has already been filled up the previous day. How can you fill the position without waiting for my confirmation.

It is sheer unprofessional behaviour on your part!!!

If things go in the same manner, you will be all over the net for all wrong reasons.

Best wishes to you and your team.

I disagree completely as to me it sounds more like"sour grapes"experience with you as i too have been associated with lexipens over sometime. My experience at at lexi pens have been an enriching one.Which company boasts of a quarterly growth as per performance but lexi pens, being a

fresher i not only got the exposure but also the management took care of my learning and career growth to add to this the work atmosphere at lexi pens is young fun and cheerful!cheers to lexi pens !l It was my dream to be in exports but as a fresher i lacked the experience hence no company was ready to employ me for the same profile however lexi pens was the only company who showed faith in my potential and caliber and gave me the much awaited break and platform within no period of time have got increment also the seniors are very cooperative to add to this the Managing director Mr vinod Sachdev will be the most rememebred and cherished mentor of my carrer if i had to vote for top 5 employers lexi would be nos 1 employer in the list!

lexi pens rocks!

Current employee!

Its strange that i read this about the experience of interview at Lexi Pens because mine was completely contradictory to this. The HR Team not only kept constant touch with me on the interview dates and got me accomodated unlike the other companies but attended to every mail as quickly.

The process was so well sorted and all details thouroughly taken so that the expectations were set right. The whole environment was stress free while giving my interview. I did not get shortlisted unfortunately. I would have loved to work with such a brand name and thought i should share my positive experiences as well and the above compaints seem to be a one off which can happen during a full house walk in interview in any organisation!

Aspiring to join lexi!

Hi all,
after reading all of the above statements i do agree that lexi pens is an unprofessional company. I was called for the interview and not to mention that i cleared the rounds and got selected for the post of Area Sales Manager. A phone call followedd by an email mentioning the joining date and certificates that i have to carry for completing the joining process was sent to me. I was almost prepared to join when all of a sudden i got a call 2 days before the joining date that the joining date is postponed for an uncertain period of time. I called Namita and asked about the situation. She told that she will look after the matter. And now after almost a month there is no positive reply from their side nor they are able to give a valid reason for the delay. I even called namita sometimes but everytime i hear that either she is absent or busy in a meeting. I dont think it is a professional approach. I dont have any personal regrets towards namita but atleast being in such a branded company she must have a professional approach. I will still wait for some time as i do want to work in a company like lexi and i wish that i get proved wrong.
I met the MD of the company a while a go for the position of a Marketing Manager. Obviously I had the e-mails from the HR requesting to come for the interview. The MD clearly quoted that there is "No Difference between Marketing & Sales"... Ha!! Well we all know they make plastic pens for god sake, and its a number game and mass production to increase profits! But at least, a person at the position of MD shouldn't make such statements! We know the Marketing budget with such companies are limited usually, shouldn't make it that obvious!

The above is a very toned down version of what I had to go through in that interview, including remarks about my current marketing job with an MNC "being unreal" in the sense that it does not add value to any organisation and just takes some seat in an organisation!

All the job seekers, there are hundreds of "Good" companies out there in the market who value your profile and talent. Lexi is not one of those!
No, It is good company. My interview was taken quite professionally. unfortunately I didn't got selected for ASM position. But I wish I would had made it
This is quite alarming!!!

I have recieved a call from Lexi and Im sceptical about going all the way from Pune for it. Moreover a friend of me just informed that at Lexi you can be kicked out any day.. any comments???
This company does not enjoy goodwill of the market in which it operates. no body likes this company and its selling practices in the market. there is outright refusal to accept this company in the market and it carries a "bad name". the only reason this company has sold its products is, the overall quality of its pens and bad undercutting pricing policies. Besides this this company has many bosses and their sycophants (chamchas/ as$ lickers) that secure their job by buttering their bosses ego. This company doesnt care about employee welbeing and fires an employee without giving a second thought as if they were their slaves or whether the so called sycophants are telling the truth to the management or bluffing. They call it their "hire and fire policy" but actually it is a "use and throw" policy This company encourages office politics so that the entire office is control of few. Ground staff is treated like dogs, they are not considered humans. The CEo of this company thinks too much of himself, He loves firing people, he relies on his as$ lickers for reviews about his employees, this is so unprofessional. overall a very bad and unprofessional company to work with, has no credibility in the local pen market, survives on blood of the ground staff / sales guys who work on field to sell pens, company probably has survived just becoz of some revenue from its export market. i dont think that the overall turn over is even 100 crores as it claims. dont join this company, not a good place to work. if this company has to grow the Ceo has to first throw out his as$ lickers and encourage some innovation in the company. introduce some good management practices so that it retains its employees and not throws them after they r used. moreover listen to the market or the environment in which it operates.
all good reviews about Lexi can be written by them selves only. No one who has worked with this arrogant Vinod wil ever praise this filthy company.
All praise is a lie. Don;t believe, see yourself.
Yes as a vendor i will write few points for lexi pen...
this company is the worst company to work with . we had a meeting today and he ( Vinod Sachdev) was very unreasonable and unprofessional person. can't imagine that such big company founder and director have this big fat Ego. I don't think he is even educated. We also run a company but we never misbehave with our vendor / supplier in the way he did. I just have to walk off with my technical staff saying " sorry ( Din't even said sir, or Mr.) we cannot do business with you. Best luck to you and your company.

Zero rated company not worth even one star...
I went for interview in Lexi Pens in year 2014 and I met Mr. Vinod Sachdeva, I have not found any error in company or person, its good company, work environment was also nice and people are supporting, may be you people have some bad experience due to some HR of that time but my experience was OK, see being a fresher nobody can expect very warm welcome by HR or interviewer because they have to attend many interviews in a day. You can not accuse to any company if your preparation is not enough for that particular interview and you didn't get selected. In short I can say this company is not so bad as people describing, it may be because of some people, we can not blame a company which is among of top pen manufacturer.
