[Resolved]  Nokia — COMPLAINT ON NOKIA CUSTOMER CARE AND SERVICE CENTRE

I Dr. G. Jeyabalan, had purchased a Nokia E63 mobile phone few months back. The mobile phone was having the problem of hanging at one page during internet surfing. Last week, it so happened, and I tried to restart the mobile phone. The moment I switched it off, it was not responding any key after that and till now the mobile can not be switched on.
When the mobile had been submitted to Nokia care (Jain Communications,) Alwar, they asked us to wait for two hours, then one day, then two days and finally they said the mobile had to be sent to head office and would take 8-10 days. And finally I had taken my mobile handset back and now I decided to lodge a complaint to the consumer forum for the ignorance and lethargic of the service center.
They prefer to do services for paid service customer rather than warranty service customers like me. If at all they can not provide warranty services, why the company claims for warranty for one year for their products?
This can be taken seriously against Nokia who provides false claims as warranty, and the service center for not providing prompt service, reception to the customers.

Once again i am facing the same problem of battery low, only used 47 minutes, that too not music and songs, as today i spoke to Rocky Agencies(Mr.Pandian)he again says that, the mobile once again
has to be sent to Delhi for 15 days, as you well know that now only i got my mobile few days ago, so better give me a replacement, otherwise i think i have to to proceed legally, hope you better understand the

I purchased New Nokia Mobile(5220 Xpress Music)on 2nd Jan-09 at Mobile Store at Olympia Tech Park, the issue i am facing is, from the date of purchase to till 24th Jan-09 i used only 6 hrs(total Talk time)even i dont use music, so i gave it for service at Nokia care(Rocky Agencies)for service on 24th Jan-09 and they were unable to commit on delivery date on the Jobsheet, but they orally said it might take a week, since being the new phone why huge amount of time is taken, just think without the phone for so many days what would i do, being Nokia people think it is best for the Quality & Service, but nowadays i think that Nokia loosing that Service motive to its customers, so i want you to Take Prior action to reslove it.

This is for your kind attention. I regret to inform you that, Nokia India, which claims itself as a customer-oriented company,

and put serious emphasis on service and customer care (at least during promotion and selling of its products), has been showing

least concern for the product with the following specification and case history:

Problem: Flashing inside Mobile Set and LCD Display blank, currently not working at all

After getting this problem in our hand set we have immediately contacted the Priority Dealer from where we made the

purchase (details given above). They have REFUSED to take any complaint from us and even refused to recieve the complaint

letter written from our part. After contacting Nokia Complaint Cell thru website, they has also responded in the same fashion

the Priority Dealer had reacted. They asked to contact a Nokia Care which is not in viscinity to our locality and negated any

chance to take the reponsibility to send this faulty set themselves (thru Nokia Priority) Dealer for repair, though as per terms

and conditions of purchase and carry to site warranty, we have tried to deposit the set to the dealer.

Keeping in view Nokia's reluctant attitude towards customer service we have some query:

1. Whether one Nokia Priority Dealer can refuse to recieve a faulty set even after one month of purchase the same?

2. Whether Nokia Priority Dealers are only meant for selling handset and no customer care and acceptance of grievances is

expected from them?

3. Isn't it the Priority dealer's duty to collect the Mobile Set from us and send that to their Care Centre?

4. Whether they can force us to go to a far location for getting the service, when they claim themselves "Priority" dealer for that company?

3. If a priority shop of a company like Nokia can refuse straight way to recieve any complaint letter?

4. WHETHER WE, IN VIEW OF THE HARRASSMENT AND INCONVENIENCE (WITH A CHANCE OF SERIOUS

ACCIDENT) FACED BY US, DUE TO FAULTY SET AND IMPROPER CUSTOMER CARE, SHOULD NOT MOVE TO CONSUMER REDRESSAL FORUM FOR PROPER ACTION?

Nokia / N95 - 8GB — Handset Problem

I had handedover my N-95 8GB handset at NOKIA Care, C/o N.R.I. Communication, O-9, Lajpat Nagar -II, New Delhi - 24 for repairing on 11.02.2009 under jobsheet no.[protected]/090211/42 & get back the same to me on 14.02.2009.

But since the problem were not resolved, so I again gave my handset for repairing at NOKIA Care, Lajpat Nagar under manual job sheet no. 2907 dtd. 21.02.2009. In a couple of days i given my handset two times for repairing but the problem remain same.

As the handset is laying with nokia service centre or does not work properly, i am facing lot of problem in my routine work. I'm very much disappointed with the such type of service given by NOKIA, particularly in repairing. If the handset is not repairable than u must replace with the NEW ONE, so the customer should not suffer.

I request you to kindly expedite the matter & give me the permanent solution.

After that i received one mail from Nokia support on 22.02.2009 & they confirmed to me that their Service team will contact with me within the next 48 hours (except Saturday and Sunday).

But Till date I am not getting any concrete information regarding the delivery of handset.

You are requested to provide me the concrete information / delivery date.

Nokia — Regarding Switching off of New cell

I Bought a 7610 supernova Nokia cell(Worth Rs. 10, 600) on 19 feb'09 on the very same day it wasn't got switched off so i thought it may be due to my carelessness bt second and third day when i tried, i was unable to make it happen. then i went to Hot spot from where i bought the Nokia Handset, the hot spot boy very forcbly switched off the phone, after that my phone wasn't switched on and he said i can't help it any more you should go nokia care service centre, if you come to me with in 48 hours of purchase i will give you a new handset bt now i can't do any thing. But when i said as a customer i have a right to know the condition of 48 hours which i have mentioned above he said i am not allowed to disclosed this to the customer because Nokia won't allow us. Then i went to Nokia Care on the very same day i.e 25 Feb, 09 he took my phone and when i enquired abt the same conditiion which Hot spot boy mentioned above, he said to me"mam we haven't asked anyone to hide this condition to customer". But in all this drama I have suffered alot. Nokia return my phone on 26-Feb-09 but again my cell got switched off on 27- feb-09 evening and again i went to them(Nokia care) on 28-Feb-09 they asked me to wait for about an hour and then said"we will forward it to our Head Deptt." and return you phone with in 15 days bt i said i will need it by 12-March-09.

In all above mentioned case, you must have noticed Hot spot hide the Condition which is a right of mine as a customer when i purchased the Nokia Phone and then Nokia care didn't provide me the perfect solution because on the very next day i.e.27-Feb-09 my cell got switched off which is not supposed to be. It's a Manufacture problem with a cell and they supposed to give me a new cell which dont have any manufacture & software problem. Because a newly purchased phone facing problem from the very first day and with 9 days even once it got repaired bt still facing same problem.

Please provide me Solution for which i am looking for because i have spent 10, 600 of my salary and i am belongs to middle class.

yes sir i am having the same problem are you using the BSNL CARD actually IF you use bsnl Sim card with 6233 it damage the Sim card email the details at [protected]@aol.in.

Nokia 6300 mobile — Not Delivered On time

I was very much annoyed with the service i have given my cell on 6th feb (model No 6300) & it was suppoz to deliver on 25th Feb till doay i did not got my cell agian the service technician of aurangabad is requesting for 5 more days.

Nokia India Ltd. ( Mobile Phone ) — Service Issue

Dear Sir /Mam

I am abhishek gupta, I am having Nokia 6280 Mobile phone (IMEI – [protected] Date of Purchase 25/03/2008), I had deposit my phone at nokia care for repair on dated 02/07/2008 after more than 60 days I got Replacement from Nokia Care (Replace IMEI – [protected] on Dated 09/09/2008).

I am facing same problem in my replaced handset after 2 months, I had again deposit the handset at Nokia care for repairing on dated 09/12/2008 but till date I am not getting any proper response from nokia care, I had already talk to Manager of Nokia Care Somdutt Plaza Kanpur, he has not giving me any proper answer, and the behavior of that person is very rude, after facing these type of issue, I wrote to the India Consumer Complaint Center, so kindly look into the matter and do the needful.

I don’t want to accept this model after repair or Swap, so I want another model in replacement of this model on same costing handset.

Nokia — Repair durign warranty period denied

My handset 5800 purchased on 12/01/09 whose touch screen changes to purple or violet color sometimes and when I switch off the screen using shutter button on the side of the handset and reopen it, it resumes perfect color. Secondly when I play music player through application menu after three or four songs my handset get hang and then to resume it I have to restart the handset.

I have been facing this problem from the past one month and when today I went to the Nokia Care they told me to leave the handset with them for ten days.

I am also a person from service field and require my official number to address to the customer grievances. How can I leave my handset with them for ten days? When I asked them for a backup set they denied to provide me one and asked me to arrange for one myself. They also denied giving me in writing on a job card that they cannot provide me with a backup in case if the handset has to be left with them for ten days.

My cell phone broke down only within a month of purchase and now if Nokia Care is asking me for the handset to be left with them for ten days then why should I purchase another handset as an alternate? It is the responsibility of the company to provide customers whose handset is having genuine and inherent problem within the warranty period. If Nokia reimburses me the cost of a new handset as an alternate during the repair period then I will purchase one otherwise why should a customer bear the cost for additional handset during the repair period.
I have also faced similar problem with my handset 6255.
The level of care given to the customer is very poor and that is because of the loose law and enforcement rules why these companies make customer a fool.
Even if I go to consumer forum these companioes know that court will take long time for justice and the customer has to fill the fee as well as has to spare valuable time for the hearings.
Only providing strict protection rights and hefty penalities could deter these manufacturers to market poor quality products and ensure customer gets the proper care for amount he has spent on the purchase.

I have purchased a Nokia 3120 form Twins Mobile Communication, Capital Tower, Statue, Trivandurm, Kerala, Ph No.[protected] two months back. Immediately after two days it fails and from Smart Care, OPP Marikar Motors, Pattom, Trivandrum it was being repaired. But after two days it again failed then as per Service Job Sheet[protected]/090227/45 dated 27/02/2009 given for repairs at the same service center. They repaired it and returned after 10 days. Again it failed after 2 days and given for repairs at the same center as per Service Job Sheet No.[protected]/090316/20 dated 16/03/2009. Again after 3 days returned after service.
Now the phone is with me and it is not working properly. No ring sound & no music sound is the present complaints.
In this short period the same phone which I was purchased for Rs 7202/- is not at all working to my espectations.
So I request you take necessary action to replace the defective phone as early as possible.

NOKIA MOBILE PHONE — Poor repair service

Dear sir,
Mr Sajjan Thakur is my employee. He had purchased Nokia model 2760 on 14.8.08. This phone developed a problem that it showed no network coverage . It was given at Nokia service center in Sector-2, Noida on 26.2.09 (Job sheet no.[protected]/090226/34). He was told that it would be repaired and given back on 2.3.09. When he went to collect the hadset, he was told that they have not received the handset from company and was tol to come back after a week . He has since visited the service center many times, and allways he was told that the handset would be given in a few days . Today, when he want to collect the handset, he was told that the original handset could not be repaired and he would be given a replacement handset . This replacement handset had many flaws like power switch off automatically, ring tome issue, low battery, message etc. When I talked to the person at the service center, he told me that this replacement set would be sent back to the company to be repaired (Job sheet No.[protected]/090325/88). I am not able to understand why a customer is being treated like this . It has been one month since the handset developed a problem, and now we have been told to wait for another 10 days, to get a repaired replacement handset. When I go to Nokia website to log a complaint, the website says that the link is disabled . Through your forum, I would like to log a complaint on the poor service of Nokia company

The Mobile Store — regarding mobile malfunctioning in just 24 hrs.

sir, i am a old customer of the mobile store (jamnagar manek centre branch) purchased 3 mobiles in the year. on friday 29th march 2009i purchased a mobile of samsung m 200
(customer no.[protected], in just 24 hrs its battery needed a change because its not working properly, and yesterday evening its hands-free got problemed. i requested to authority ( area sales manager) to change the mobile as i want to give this mobile to person going out of city for 30 days. he refused and also refused to give written consent about the policy of changing the mobile and extending the warranty period of your store that is 48 hrs to 72 hrs (as today is sunday. person concerned should look after this and do the needful for at least regular customer. otherwise such a behaviour can be considered under the consumer protection act.
the people who are buying mobiles from such renowned companies should take care and think twice
