[Resolved]  Nokia Battery Bp 6m — SWELLING IN THE BATTERY

i too have the same problem, the battery isgetting heated up, it is bulkier now, and i had to get a new battery.

A nokia handset N-73 is purchased from Thakur and sons, Dhule at price of Rs. 11500/-. The set is giving a low battry back up. It is checked at ASKC MOBILES a authorised service cetre, at Datta Mandir, Deopur Dhule Mhaharashtra state. They have given a result that battery is to be replaced. As per the Service Job Sheet No. 2397 dated 14/06/2008, a battery BP-6M Sr. No. 06705053932130473120840632 is given to the authorised centre for replacment and make enquiry with him that the battery will be given on wednesday i.e. on 18/06/2008. But on 18/06/ battery is not given. Today on 23/06/2008 again make a enquiry but they are saying that a fix date will not be given & it will take month together time. If such huge time is required, then how we use the mobile ? Also period of 1 year for warranty is reduces. The people in service centre never gives a proper information and their gusture shows, it is their godness on the customer that they going to give service. It is requested before selling the products, a proper service station with all accessories should be given. A customer should not be harrased. The persons like in Dhule are harrssing and to reply we are unable to say when your product will be replaced?

Ditto... It is such a pain. Sometimes I feel this battery may just burst. It has swollen and is my cover is not shutting properly. I need to get a replacement...

I am facing same problem, my battery has swollen and battery cover is not fitting properly. My mobile has crossed the warranty period.

guyz wht shud v do .. i meen i hav no more warranty on mi battery .. bt my fonez in warranty .. v can complain against nokia .. cuz nokiaz battery sucks .. i think d battery may blast .. so v shud nt take ne risks

Same here, my phone now just over 1 year old and the last week my battery didnt last even a day where it always made atleast 2 days. I hear someone got pretty badly injured when using a swollen battery and the phone exploded in his face, nasty scars and burns. So its probably best to go buy a new battery.

I have nokia mobile, which has a mobil BP 6M (set- nokia 6233), last week i tried charging by battery, suddenly within 15 min battery got hot and subsequently swelled. post that, even full charged you are not confidentwhether battery will stand even for 20 mins.even the battery cover is fitting into the set.I need battery replacement.

i also have same problem as all of you. is this problem of selling of battery is only with BP-6M or it is with other batteries also. Can anyone know why it is so? Better to lodge complaint to NOKIA website.

I too have 1 year and 2 months old one with a swelled battery and now the charging gets drained out within 4 hours.

I also having the same problem, some it gets to hold while calling, it can't even berable, is there any alternative battery for NOKIA 6233 OTHER BATTERY

Nokia battery BP 6M, same problem. I spoke to Bharat Reddy, Floor Supervisor in their call center and he was adament that I need to purchase it only for Rs. 800/-, He was not even ready to let me talk to his senior- Try yourselves at [protected]. STD code[protected]. shameful -Nokia has spoiled its name.

same problum arrises with me i also want to replace the same. What should i do?

Why this nokia batteries swell, are they leaving some fatty stuff, oils or else to get them tummy later? Mine too had a 7th month of pregnancy.

This is a real of NOKIA now y we should trust if these type of happenings occur repeately.
