[Resolved]  Nokia Battery Bp 6m — SWELLING IN THE BATTERY

Nokia BP-6m battery problem — Battery problem.

I am having Noikia set with Nokia BP-6m battery & i am facing problem that during the charging it is getting too hot & while speaking getting hot, now the battery size is also got increase from the normal size. so requseing for the replacement for the same.

Agree that the problem is persisting. BUT WHAT IS THE SOLUTION? WHAT'S THE POINT IN SO MANY PEOPLE COMPLAINING WITHOUT ANY RESULT?

Even my battery has swollen. It seems it will burst anytime. It is so scary!!

Will someone reply with a solution to this problem?

I have Nokia 6233 with battery BP 6M, same problem . After charging it is getting swelled. Charge is also draining out faster. Battery cover is not fitting into the handset . My handset is 2 and half yrs old. Should I go to the Nokia Care centre for replacing the battery. Did any body get free replacement for this ?

i'm using a niokia 6288 w/ battery model BP-6M. my battery is getting weaker now so i tried to puchace a nwe one. the salesman told me its a genuine one but it last only for 12 hours. my battery ever performs better than the new one. could you advice me how/where can i purchace a real genuine battery w/ this model?

I agree with the complainant here, I have a nokia N-73M and my battery BP-6M had recently started giving very erratic power backup when I checked, to my surprise i found the battery size nearly doubled.
Its not a question of warranty, why is that nokia being the single largest cell phone manufacturer is repeatedly facing such issues with batteries, is it the cost-cutting from their end which is costing the customers dear.
Even after buying a phone in the Rs 20K range, the consumers cannot expect product quality even for 2 years.
These faulty batteries should be replaced immediately and Nokia should take steps to check this from happening lest it spoils its image in the biggest cell phone market of the world.

Yes, mine also the same problem. From two days i am facing the same problem. I have purchased it before one year. Please give replacement of the battery. Please send reply about the procedure of replacement. MY nokia 6233 set is having BP-6M battery.

Nokia battery BP-6m — Battery swelling

I have nokia 6233 mobile, which has a battery BP-6M, the battery has swelled now and the charge doesn't last. Even if you charge the battery fully, the charge doesn't last for long. The battery cover is unable to accomodate the battery and has broken. I am afraid that the battery might burst and cause injury to me and the ones near me. I would like to ask for a battery replacement.

I too face the same problem. i have nokia 6233 handset and using it for last one year. for last two months i have noticed that the battery drains quickly and i have found the batter swollen.
Request for replacement asap.

Nokia Mobile Phone Model 6233 — The battery has swollen up.

I would like to bring to your notice that i had purchased Nokia Model No.-6233 four years back which had a battery of 3.7V BP-6M. We were happy with our new purchase but since a couple of months the battery has seemed to have swollen up and the back of the mobile phone seems not to shut and is popping out.
I would really appreciate it if you could send another battery to me as soon as possible as it has caused a lot of inconvenience. I would like you to take action as soon as possible.

battery price is very costly and affordable to genral people.battery manufacturing was not so good becoz battey continuously problem like swelling, not proper charge, back was not good.so pls aware this think.

I HAVE A NOKIA 6233, WHICH IS ONLY 1.5 YEARS OLD.
I USE MY MOBILE IN A VERY VERY SOPHISTICAL WAY.

THE PROBLEMS I AM FACING ARE:
1. THE "SWITCH ON-OFF" SWITCH HAS GONE.
2.USB PORT(AS WELL AS HANDSFREE PORT ) HAS GONE
3.THE SAME BATTERY PROBLEM.

I DIDN'T EXPECTS THESE THINGS FROM NOKIA.THATS WHY I OPTED FOR IT. NOW I CAN REALISE MY FAULT.
PLEASE GIVE ME A SOLUTION. ITS VERY URGENT.

Nokia / Cell E51 — Battery not working

Dear All,

I bought my E51 on 24th August 2008, soon i was facing the problem of battery not holding on for long. I went ot the Nokia Care Centre sometime in January 2009. The service man told me to charge the battery for the full night in the phone switched off mode and the problem will be solved. I did the same but the problem did not solve.

I went to the Nokia Care Centre again in March 2009 and this time i was told that the battery was having voltage problem and the same is now unusable and needs to be replaced. Since the warranty of the battery is only for 6 months i was not able to make them replace the battery as because the first time when i went there, no job card was made.

I went to all the Nokia priority shop in Mumbai and I was surprised to find that none of the Shop was having a stock of the specific batter used for E51.

Now after having read so many complaints for the battery problem on so many different different bolgs on the internet i have come to a conclusion that this is a manufacturing problem and the Nokia Care peole knew of this problem and to save themself from the hassell of getting the new battery (which is not available) they are simply tried to pass the 6 months time for the battery so that we are not able to claim warranty.

If anybody can advise me as what steps i can take to resolve my problem, it would be very helpful.

Having same problem. Battery gas swelled and charge doesnt last.

Solution I see presently, is to buy a new battery.
