guys, the damn government officials are just too [censored]in corrupt to work on their own.
Until and unless u bribe them, they will not carry out their duties which they already get paid for.
be it the LIU agent or the bloody cop, u will have to pay both of those scumbags to get ur work done on time.. Else they simply wont carry out the verifications sincerely.
They exploit the common man and are the least perturbed by it.
Besides that, we're completely helpless, for even if we do approach the anti-corruption bureau, it will be damn hard to nail these corrupt officers who simply misutilize their powers!!
i had to bribe those wretched men for i just couldn't afford a delay with my passport, it hasnt been delivered yet though.
It's been a month since i've applied for it and am desperately hoping for it to get delivered on time..
try approaching the public grievances cell, they might help u out. Or may be the local politicians..
We cant really do much in this situation guys.. i really feel badly for all of you.

I haven't yet got any kind of information regarding my passport. I have submitted my form dated on 17.07.09 and the file no. is LKOA14/34909. Each and every formalities for issuance has been completed and I don't know why it has been delayed. So please try to despatch it as soon as possible.

Passport Delay
I applied passport for mysons(File No.-LKO m007136, LKO, M007137, LKO, M007138). A police inquiry and the L.I.U. inquiry was conducted, and its all clear. I saw in website was told that the police report is clearer and passport will be dispatched on... date. But again after some days it says that due to some unavoidable circumstances the dispatched of passport is delayed and it will be dispatched in a weeks time. Since last 2months I am getting the same update on the website. I don't know what are the problems are arising in dispatching the passport? in India.

Lucknow passport office — Not issue of my passport

This is to bring to your notice that I had applied for my passport on 25.08.2008 with Lucknow Passport Office. At the time of submission I attached all the documents along with a draft of Rs 1000.00 with the form as per the direction personally in the passport office. As a matter of fact, if the form was incomplete in any way, it was being rejected then and there and my form was accepted as it was complete in all respect. I got the receipt of the same ( File No.- LKOA[protected]. Meanwhile I was gradually checking for the status online. Towards December the message in the status box of the company website said that my passport was ready and that it shall be delivered to me in 8 working days. After that there was no news from passport office. Later I recieved a letter from Passport Office dated Mar 4, 2009, which actually was delivered at my residence on June 9, 2009 as it was dispatched from the office on June 8, 2009, stating that I had to submit my HIGH SCHOOL CERTIFICATE AS A PROOF OF DATE OF BIRTH WITHIN ONE MONTH, FAILING WHICH MY APPLICATION WILL BE TREATED AS CLOSED. I immediately submitted the same enclosed with an appication on June 11, 2009 and I was promised that my passport will reach my residence in one month's time through speed post. Yet there was no news from passport office. Meanwhile I kept on checking for the status online. Towards the 2nd week of July, the status showed- Please contact PRO on any working day except Wednesday between 10.00 AM and 12:30 PM. I again went to meet PRO on July 20, 2009. He checked the status in front of me on his computer and confirmed that MY PASSPORT WAS READY AND WAS IN DESPATCH. In his words - I SHOULD HAVE APPROACHED THE PRO EARLIER TO GET MY PASSPORT.
Sir, I am tired of moving from one table to another. Please help me in obtaining my passport at the earliest. It has now become more than an year that I have applied for the Passport. It seems to me probably the PRO is wanting some bribe in exchange of passport. I am an ethical person. I am dead against bribing but I have full faith in Indian Judiciary.

Whats the use of Tatkal if it comes so late that you cannot even meet your loved ones in time of need and grief? Are the people sitting in these offices listening? Do you know anything about emotions and relations? i am waiting for one damn passport to see my sick daughter.

in December it came to know from home that police has come for inquiry again. i was not in the position to leave the hotel to reach to clear the inquiry again.

Ye passport office ke log SARKARI AADMI HAIN...So Aaram se kaam karna aur ya phir na karna Inke Haath Main Hai. Aur Oopar se Lucknow Office, MASHA ALLAH..Kaam karne ko taiyaar he nahin..

Aap sabhi bhai log apna File Number aur contact no. de rahe ho..Tumko kya lagta hai ki aaj tak kise passport deptt. wale person ne ise dekha bhi hoga???? Ha ha ha unko MASTI marne se Fursat Ho Tab To.

Tumne paise bhi de diye aur ek choti se Passport Book issue karne ke liye inke phatati hai. Jab Police varify karegi tab bhi tum sabhi unko bhi paise dete ho. Aur doge bhi kyon nahin, majboori hai.
Kya iska pata hamari ministry ko nahin hai??? Zaroor pata hai, all enquiries are FAKE, simply 500-1000 rs do police walon ko, aur sab kush accha, na do to Bana Ke Dikha Do Passport.

Meri nek salaah mano, kisi acche city main jao-Jaise Delhi, Mumbai ya bangalore, apply for Local Identity like Voter card etc (Of Course in this Bhrasht Desh, you may get it for Rs. 1000 approx) than apply for the passport, you will get it in a month.

I have been tired to follow up with LUCKNOW PRO regarding my passport (applied one yr back).. here is how the story has gone so far:

1. The passport has not been delivered though it has been more than a year since applied. (Applied on (01-March-2007)

2. I met the PRO in Lucknow office dated 27th december 2007. He said that second enquiry is due which will happen in next 10 days which didn’t happen.

3. I met PRO again in Lucknow office dated 27th may 2008. It Again I was assured to have enquiry within next 10 days.

4-when I check iquiry in kotwali in barabanki I got everything was ok.Please tell me how can he say that my varification checking is incomplete.

5. Now when I check the status of passport on http://www.indianpassport.nic.in entering my file reference number. It says -:

File Reference Number (z600135) is either wrong or Information NOT available.


6. Even I have not got any response from rpo.[protected]@mea.gov.in when complaint.

Now I don’t have any hope from Lucknow PRO, just that if can get a confirmation on applying second passport now. actually I would have done that but my passport agent says if they find the duplicate details matching applicant's name, DOB, and guardian's name this would be a FROD.

I am also a victim of Lucknow Passport office. For the past 3 years I have not received the passport for which i have applied for renual. Got fed up with them and their attitude. Around 7 times met PRO. Different reasons they give at every time. I did all that they require. My job got transfered to another State from U.P. Now i am not in aposition to apply for fresh passport, as it become illigal. One PRO even told me the passport number of mine and told that it is kept in safe custdy.
meeting PRO is big achievement there, by the time hole day will be over.
Putting leave at office, visited the PRO by travelling all the way from 100 KM for 7 times. no out-put for reasons not known. In spite of PSU, Government employ, producing all necessary NOC from my emoployer, Twice(On revised format also) Did not receive.
Now being employed in another state, visinting Lucknow Passport office means I have to travell all the way 2000KM, 2+2 days up and down journy. Thinking about it is causing a lot of fear in my mind.
Local PPO will not entertain the issues of other PPO cases.Please help me by suggesting to solve my problem.

According to the rules, a passport should have been issued in 45 days. However, it is more than 5 month from the date of application.

I agree more than 500 percent.As a matter of fact this is the story since the last 30 years. The RPO offices' staff itself is careless & harrasses, so that you yourself may approach another staff - who will be now friendly - and offer him something extra! They have a section of complaints that, gives their phone & fax nos. as also e-mail id. The telephone will never be picked-up no matter how many times you ring-up. Once trapped, they have this standard excuse FILE MISSING.

You give all pertinent documents, yet they will not provide you with ECNR. This is most common

Unless the entire clerical staff is transferred, and the offices sanitized, there is no hope in future as well.
